Communication not great. I am having mixed feelings on this place. The vets are good. Technicians are hit or miss and they have charged us for two nail trims we haven’t got and sometimes do a great job and other times not so great. They have said they would call us and then not call. I’ve been frustrated with them lately. Overall I think the vets are knowledgeable and I like them a lot. The staff is ehh.

The attention and service provided to my two dogs by the vet technician (Ms. Wilder) and the Vet (Dr. McDonald) was impressive. They really put my two dogs first and made me feel they care about the health of my pets. The information provided for the care of my dogs by these two persons was outstanding. Most importantly they took their time to address every questions/concerns I had about my pets. I had a wonderful experience and I'm so glad I moved the care of my dogs to KMAH. I highly recommend this practice.

Wonderful people work here! They took care of our Shooter....he was bit by a snake just before our trip from Texas to Georgia. We didn't know it until we got to Kennesaw. We had been clients of Kennesaw Mountain Animal Hospital for 2 years so they new my dog and his age. I brought my 11 1/2 yrs old Bernese Mountain Dog (average life span of a Berner is 10 yrs old) to KMAH cause I feared that he had once again eaten a foreign object. An x-ray confirmed that, and he needed surgery. I told KMAH that due to his age and the fact that he had had surgery and an extremely complicated recovery 4 months earlier for the exact same thing (1st surgery was not performed by KMAH), that my husband and I had made the difficult decision to euthanize since it wasn't fair to my elderly dog to put him through that again. KMAH responded by asking me to sign custody of my dog to them so that they could perform the surgery and rehome him. Obviously I wasn't going to give up my dog, so feeling I had no other options, I agreed to surgery. The surgery itself was successful. 36 hours post op, due to the fact it was the weekend, they transferred him to the emergency clinic, where we found out that our dog was in in really bad shape and was suffering the same post-op complications he endured after his previous surgery 4 months ago. KMAH seemed completely unaware of the severity of these complications, though they had been made fully aware of the results of his last surgery, When we picked him up, KMAH never mentioned to us that our dog was doing poorly. Two hours after admission to the ER, we euthanized him due to the severity of the complications.

I have been coming to KMAH ever since I moved here from Canada. The staff are wonderful and I feel like i always get great personal service. I also use them for boarding my dog Cleo. She loves coming here and I feel safe leaving her in their care. I highly recommend them!

I only have one animal, so I don't regularly go to the vet, but when I do this is my go to place. I've never been anywhere that treats you like family without even knowing much about you! The staff and doctor are so friendly there and they care about your animals just as much as you do. Incredibly reasonable prices and to top it off their office is like a 5 star hotel for pets! Absolutely love this place and everyone there!

These folks are the best, we recently started using their service and are well pleased. The folks are friendly and very helpful. The Dr.'s are great!!!!! We have two fur-babies one which was very sick when we started using their service due to liver failure and had to be put down after over a year long struggle. All the staff was so great with us being a new customer and having to go through that loss. I simply can not say enough about them, they are great to work with and very accommodating.

This is my third vet and from the start they've gone above and beyond to help diagnose and treat my loved one no matter the size of the issue. My dog recently had to have surgery and they were with me through every step of a tough process and even saved her life. Exceptional service from the entire staff all around.

She is open to your questions, patient when you may be having a hard time with end of life issues that may be happening to part of your family unit, listens to other options that you may bring to the table about treatment paths...the list could go on. She is humble about her accolades too. Because of her talents, this year she was selected by GVMA to serve as one of the "Power of Ten" vets in Georgia in the first of its kind leadership program. If I could give these guys more than 5 stars I would. I recently moved here and was searching for a vet for my two dogs, Charli and Xena, and looked at the review for a lot of vets and decided to visit this one. They are amazing. We regularly see Dr. Taryn but have also seen Dr. Melissa and they are both great. The staff is amazing and kind hearted as well. If you are look for a great vet here you go, you will not get better people to look after your babies.

I cannot speak highly enough about every single person at Kennesaw Mountain Animal Hospital. They truly embody their mission statement “Where we treat you like family and your pets as our own”. We have only lived in Georgia for 5 months now, but since moving here my dog and cat have needed to go to the vet more times in the last 5 months than I have probably taken them in the last 5-6 years. It’s been a rough time adjusting, for them, but the staff at Kennesaw Mountain Animal Hospital has made the transition go much smoother. Starting with the office itself – whoever planned the layout needs to win an award. They have literally thought of everything including a separate exam room that has a door that leads directly outside that they use for the dogs that are not good with other dogs (which my dog is not sometimes). Each room is equipped with everything you could possibly need, in the cat exam rooms they have soft surfaces on the exam tables so that the cats are not shocked by any cold surfaces (which my cat definitely appreciated) and every room has the calming pheromones for both dogs and cats. Every time I visit I notice something new and wonderful about the office. Every person on the staff is so friendly from the people who work at the desk to the wonderful vet techs that all somehow remember you and your pets. My super nervous 70lb dog who is scared of everything and trembles all the time in new situations has grown to love each and every person at the vet's office. Even better than the office itself are the vets themselves. We saw Dr. Melissa on our first visit and she was wonderful and was the reason we came back again, and ever since we then have been seeing Dr. Taryn as she is the one our babies have seen the most and have become most comfortable with. Dr. Taryn in one word is amazing. She is completely devoted to the animals that she cares for and it shows completely in everything that she does. I am genuinely so happy my husband got a job in Kennesaw for the sole reason that I now know that my pets are in the best care possible. They are no less than my own children and their welfare is something that I have always prioritized. My main goal for them is that they are able to live their best life. We have moved around so much in their short lives and they have seen countless vets in NJ, NY, IN and FL, I have never experienced such warmth, care and patience before in addition to the knowledge and wisdom about how to handle each situation. When I take my pets to the vet how I am treated is secondary to how my pets are treated but in addition to the wonderful care that my pets are receiving, Dr. Taryn and all the vet techs we have had always ask how I myself am doing in the most genuine way. I feel like I can write pages about how wonderful these guys are but if you are looking for a new vet and are within driving distance of this office, even if it’s a little bit further, I would HIGHLY recommend bringing your fur-babies to this office there is no comparison to them.

I used my former Vet for over 12 years before changing to KMAH which unfortunately was to late to save one of my babies. I believe that had I been using them I would still have her with me today. I believe that the doctors and the staff and very knowledgeable and caring. I trust them completely. PLUS the office and the kennels are always immaculate. You have my vote of confidence KMAH. For me there is none better.

My wife and I bring both our dogs to this vet. 4 days ago my lab required surgery to remove a cyst from his leg. The surgery was $862.00 and I was called today, 4 days post surgery to return to have his bandage changed. The procedure took some 5 minutes. They charged me an additional $40.00. What? This was a follow up to his surgery 4 days earlier. The staff and doctors are very nice and professional but loyalty is a two way street. I don't paying what's necessary for quality care for my pet. I do care however when I feel I'm being taken advantage of which is how I now feel. My wife and I will decide if we will continue with this vet or find one that appreciates our loyalty without nickel and diming us.

We moved just over a year ago to West Cobb. We had used another vet for 13 years in East Cobb prior to the move. We loved our previous vet's office and staff, however the drive was up to an hour depending on the traffic. A neighbor told me about KMAH. Once I arrived to initially have my 2 dogs boarded, they lovingly took them in. They were so sweet and helpful. Our Boxer has been in for his annual shots. He is difficult to read, as he was abused before we adopted him. They are kind and well aware of his peculiar nature, so he loves them. Our Min Pin had to be put down by Dr. Carrie about a week and a half ago. They were so comforting and just made me feel that my dog was the only one that mattered at that moment. I knew it had to be done because he was in horrible pain. They so gently guided me through it. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a vet's office that works hard to love on your pets, maintain their health and well-being, and is an overall 10 with customer service.

KMAH has taken great care of my two cats, Jimmy and Katy, since I moved to Kennesaw three years ago. Last week, my seemingly healthly 11 year old (and light of my life) Jimmy, got very sick, very quickly. I left a voice mail at 12:30am on Thursday night and within minutes of them opening, Deloris called me back. There were no open appointments but with his symptoms, she had me drop Jimmy off and they'd fit him in where they could. After dropping in off at 8:30, I received at phone call from Dr. Carrie Friedewald informing me that Jimmy had kidney failure and would need to stay with them for a few days hooked up to an IV. I asked many, many questions and she answered all of them as best she could at the time. Since Jimmy had never stayed anywhere overnight, I dropped a few things off for him. I couldn't see him then as he was just getting settled and seeing me might get him worked up. However, the said they call regularly with updates. I received two more phone calls from them on Friday, three on Saturday and four on Sunday all stating that Jimmy was doing well and eating and drinking "like a champ". Their constant communication made me feel very much at ease and I knew he was in good hands. I made arrangements to come by Monday morning and see him and they let me stay with him for almost two hours in our own room while Dr. Friedewald and nurses answered any and all questions I had. They were running more tests last in the day and they would call with updates. Dr. Friedewald called me Monday afternoon with not so good news, his levels hadn't gone down, but she reassured me that every cat was different. I had done research and had many, many questions for her and she answered every single one, staying on the phone with me for over 30 minutes. I had never been so scared in my life but everyone at Kennesaw Mountain Animal Hospital put all of those fears to rest. I had never been so comfortable with a vet in my life. She also told me that I could come back everyday to spend time with Jimmy which was very comforting. She informed me that she she would be off Tuesday for an event with her daughter but Dr. Melissa Roberts would be taking good care of him. Tuesday morning I came in and had to wait a few minutes as they were running tests. I saw Dr. Friedewald in the back and mentioned to Deloris at the front desk that I thought she was off for the day. She replied that she did. I asked if she came in just for Jimmy and she told me that she had. I knew then that it wasn't good. I was taken back to the holding area and Jimmy had been moved to the oxygen cage overnight. I was able to put my hand in and pet him but that was it – he wasn't strong enough to come out. From there, it was downhill FAST. Dr. Roberts wasn't able to place a catheter due to blockage and he was having a lot of trouble breathing. It was the first time I had ever seen him in distress. A few hours later, Dr. Roberts did his last procedure and he feel asleep with my arms around him, resting his head on my arm. They allowed me to stay with him for as long as I wanted. I stayed for over an hour, just petting him, until my boyfriend decided that it was time to go. Although when it came to Jimmy's care, money was no object, with him being hooked up to an IV for four days the constant tests and procedures done him being in the oxygen cage, I expected an extremely high bill. To my surprise, it wasn't. Although the outcome was the worst possible scenario, everyone at KMAH could not have been more wonderful. Their constant communication and care helped me through the most difficult time of my life.

This animal hospital took SUCH GREAT CARE of my cat Sophie, and made my kids feel REALLY good about the situation we was in! Our cat was lost for a couple days then found hanging by her leg. So she lost circulation for a long time and was hurt bad! We came there because one of our friends told us how great the place was!!! Now we know from our VERY own experience!! They really do care for your animal, and make SURE you feel very comfortable if you have to leave them to stay! This is our new vet now! I will definitely tell everyone about my experience and refer them to go as well!

I visited this clinic for the first time last week when I noticed my kitty wasn't feeling well. As soon as I arrived, I instantly felt the love from the staff. The nurses and doctors were very personable and extremely easy to talk to. They had to run lots of tests on my baby, which took quite a long time, but they even made me a cup of coffee while I waited. Unfortunately, my kitty was diagnosed with FIP, but the doctors stayed an extra 2 hours after their closing time to help make him feel as comfortable as possible before I took him home. It was a very long day, but the love and support I felt from everyone in the office was sincere and genuine. They even sent me home with a complementary fuzzy blanket that my kitten was obsessed with for days! Sadly, he passed away shortly after our visit, but even after the fact, I still received love and empathy from the team. Not only will I 100% be returning whenever I decide to get another pet, but I also highly recommend that you take your fur baby to see the amazing staff here!

The doctors and staff here are amazing! They spent time with me teaching me how to care for "Boots" the goat someone gave to me. I had never even met a goat when he became mine. They went above and beyond the call of duty...even bringing me samples of hay to see if my spoiled rotten goat would eat it. Boots loved all of the staff here too. Your pet IS family at this vet and it shows. Recently, Dr.Taryn did all she could do to save Boots life when he sustained life threatening injuries getting kicked by a horse. She stayed after the business closed to do his surgery. Unfortunately, Boots passed the next morning. Dr.Taryn was amazing, they all grieved with me. It's really hard without my best friend but if I had it all to do again, I would. I'm so grateful to have such a great animal hospital to help with all my pets needs.
