My cat is getting pretty old. But she is the light of our lives. We have been to three other Athens based vet clinics but we're always sorely overcharged for a simple checkup or treated as less than a priority. But then we found THIS place. They always remember my cat and treat her like their own. When we suspected something was suddenly very wrong with her, they were booked full that day but cared enough to squeeze her in without hesitation! The staff are kind and thorough. They genuinely care about your pet and their rates are affordable. 5 stars. (They even wrote her name on the New Years board! Very sweet.)

Firehall Vet is seriously the BEST vet clinic that I’ve ever taken my dogs to. The front desk staff are so inviting and friendly and have always been very accommodating to my pets needs. Both of the vets, Kelly and Jennifer, are extremely knowledgeable and have always gone above and beyond for me and my pets! I have a rescue dog that had extreme ear problems and food allergies that I was not aware of at first. When I first brought him into Firehall, Kelly immediately pin pointed the problem and he has been free of his issues for years now! My dogs actually get excited to go to their vet... which is almost unheard of

I LOVE Firehall! They are so friendly and kind. I just got my first puppy and am a self proclaimed worrier- they consistently answer all my questions professionally and quickly. I trust them completely. I cannot type enough praise for everyone at Firehall!! Even after getting all his shots/vaccinations/deworming done he still LOVES to go to the vet and is super excited to visit every time. The front staff, techs and vets are so wonderful! FIrehall 4 came highly recommended by a vet student friend of mine and they didn't disappoint. They were able to get me in same day. The front desk staff were pleasant and welcoming. The vet tech knew her stuff and handled my cat wonderfully. Dr. Peterson was kind and gentle while handling my cat as well and genuinely cared about the health of my girl.

The staff focuses when possible on prevention, but when we need help, she gets a call from the vet every day! If human doctors gave care and attention as fine as our grouchy furball gets, the healthcare mess in the news wouldn't be an issue.

This is the best veterinarian clinic in the area. We could not get a clear diagnosis on our 12 year old Golden until we came here. From Candace at the front desk to the doctors and techs, they are all so caring and kind. We ended up having to put our sweet dog to sleep and today I received in the mail the sweetest sympathy card along with a paw print of our sweet fur baby. I will be taking all our pets here from now on. There aren't words for how grateful we are to the staff for walking through our dog's illness with us with such kindness and compassion.

Absolutely love this place. The staff always remembered my dog's name and were always super friendly. The veterinarians also were amazing. One time I had a huge scare with my dog when he ate something potentially harmful and the vet personally called to check in on him and even took the time to call my mom and explain the test results to her as well because I was so nervous!

I've been taking my cats here for the past 6 years. It's completely out of the way and I'm sure I could find one closer, but I don't want to. I've seen all the Drs there, but Dr Bates is my primary vet and he worth his weight in gold. He really listens to you and is very understanding. I'm sad that I am moving because I know I'll never find a place like this again... : (

We are absolutely grateful for the staff and doctors at Firehall 4. They call and check on our dog daily for updates on his status. They are extremely kind and understanding of our concerns for our dogs needs. They even worked our dog in this morning at 8am to be rechecked for his severe arthritis. We dropped him off and they called with updates while examining him. It’s great to see veterinarians that love what they do, and are so caring!

I just can not say enough about Firehall 4 Animal Hospital. The staff goes above and beyond the call of duty and the Drs treat my animals as if they were family. They always go over prices before hand and there prices are very reasonable. I trust Firehall 4 with my animals for life and I hope u will do the same. Oh Another thing I fell is important, my Maltese was sick with a back injury and Dr. Lass called me every single day to check on him. I told her My own Dr. Doesn't treat me this good. But she called me every day to check on him or adjust his medication or to see if he was walking. What Vet does that not one I know until I met A Dr at Firehall 4 Animal Hospital.

Recently moved to Athens from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. First priority was to find an excellent vet for my 17 year old Bichon a.k.a. my 2nd child. I spent 30+ hours researching numerous vets along with their reviews. I chose Dr. Jennifer Peterson and I'm thrilled to report that she exceeded our high expectations this morning! Dr. Peterson was exuberant, warm, welcoming, knowledgeable, thorough, conservative with a treatment plan and costs, trustworthy, and competent. Dr. Peterson made me feel that my dog was her only patient, wanted to hear all of my concerns and there was no stop watch running. Dr. Peterson even took the time to bring in her busy associate Dr. Laas to welcome us as new clients. This was very kind and respectful of both doctors. Please do not hesitate to bring your pets here!!!! Last but not least, staff is very sweet, efficient, and helpful! Looking forward to meeting the groomer next week.

I have had 2 dogs in the Athens area for 4 years now. After a handful of bad experiences with our vet we decided to switch vets. After reading a couple of reviews and hearing great things about Firehall 4 we decided to try them...it was an amazing decision. They worked with our work schedule and saw us a little later than they usually admit new patients. Our dogs are a little skiddish, but they handled them much better than our old vets. She also got down on the floor with my dogs and made them feel comfortable with her!!! The whole entire staff was amazing!! My lab has had urinary incontinence for about 2.5 years. My old vet said it was probably due to her being spayed. After talking with me, the Dr. told me that it could be a bacterial infection as well. She discussed with me all of the possible treatment options and let me help decide her treatment. After about a week of taking the antibiotic, Ramsey is now no longer experiencing incontinence!! Needless to say, if you are looking for a vet in the Athens area, go to Firehall 4!
