Best veterinarian hospital ever! I've taken all my pets here for over 20 years and have always felt content with the service! Everyone is so nice and professional!
Courtesy; professional ; Great doctors; my dog loves them.
Great staff, clean hospital, very caring and understanding, they saved my dog's life
Everything is so good here! Excellent staff
Great staff, always willing to lend a helping hand.
Dr Ellington is simply amazing and cares greatly about her clients.
After suggesting to Dearborn to many people over the years I have unfortunately felt a heartbreaking decline in the care of my dogs over the last year or so. It seems to me as if Dearborn has gotten too large and high volume to give the animals the attention they deserve. In one instance I arrived after work to pick up my dog after my husband had dropped him off that morning for a dental cleaning. It took almost 30 minutes of confusion and me having to call my husband to ensure that he did in fact drop him off at the right vet before my dog was located. Things took an even more serious turn this year when a different vet diagnosed my dog with late stage heart disease and a serious murmur only one month after my (senior) dog had been at dearborn for a checkup and told he was in perfect health. On my last visit, the woman checking me out seemed very flustered in handling the prescriptions I was to take with me and I later learned I paid $80 for a bottle of pills I was never given. They are nice people and I hate to find someone new after 10+ years but this is unfortunately a level of dissatisfaction I cannot overlook.
I switched my pet care to this clinic a while back. Their prices are lower than my previous vet and they will work with you using a payment plan. I've had to spend a small fortune over the past few months but it was necessary and I don't feel like anything they did was unnecessary or that I was overcharged. My last vet had become all about the
Never going back!!! I have been using Dearborn for my two cats and my dog. My dog was neutered 2 weeks ago. I called ahead today to make sure I could bring him in for a tech to look at his incision and they said no problem to come on in. I showed up 40 minutes before they close and the lady at the front was extremely RUDE. I told her I was concerned his incision was becoming infected and she gave me a glare and sent me home. Everyone else there is nice, but this woman has been mean on multiple occasions to me. I spend way too much money there to be treated that way. Thanks for sending home a patient with a possible infection for the weekend.
They let me know what i needed to know
Sharing goodness with Dr. Erin Brown and the male assistance was a game changer. I left my Vet at 13yrs recently. I hope Dearborn takes us in. It will be good to me, Ally, Lada, Denim and new pup Abby.
All 5 of my animals receive quality treatment at Dearborn. And my wallet is heavier because I chose them!
Wonderful staff, reasonable prices and great experience.
Dr. E is amazing. This facility is the best! They are very attentive to my special needs cat and I wouldn't go anywhere else!
I highly recommend them they were great with my cat and made it one of the easiest pain free visits iv ever had. managed to give my cat two shots and a rectal temperature reading without putting him in any discomfort and the price was lower then what other near by vets were offering
I love this place my dog Chloe had surgery there and they took very good care of her. Dr. Sealy is the best she’s kind and very helpful.
They know your animal is a real part of your family.
Been going here for a few years. Staff good, Doctors are fantastic. Only drawback is if you make an appointment, you will rarely be seen on time. Last 4 times I came here, with an appointment, it's been at least 45 minutes to an hour past the appointment time until you are seen. It's not just a one off at this point. Soooo plan for it! EDIT AS OF 2019: things have improved vastly at Deerborn which I’m happy to say. The last few times I’ve come in not only have I been taken on time but even early. Obviously it’s always best to have an appointment but if you can’t I need to walk in they are very attentive. The staff is friendly even the lady that had some customer service issues seems to have chilled out. And of course the veterinarians are top notch very skilled and very personable. Changing to five stars thank you Dearborn.
Like most things, you get what you pay for. I waited for over three hours to be seen by a vet just to be told that they were out of the medication that my dog needed. This place was recommended to me because it's pretty cheap, and now I understand why. It was pretty obvious they just wanted to get me in and out of the office. My previous visit involved a vet being a little too careless with a needle and cutting my dog's tail with it, causing my dog to yelp and splatter blood everywhere. He was not apologetic about it. And to round this out, they don't accept CareCredit...and they don't tell you until you're at the counter ready to pay. Don't waste your time with Dearborn
Dr Navarro was very knowledgeable, helpful and caring while working with us and Hendrix. Even though we lost our friend, we cannot say enough great things about Dearborn Animal Hospital. They are affordable and have payment plans which is always helpful and appreciated.
I have been taking my pets for a long long time now. I have referred them to all of my friends and family and they have been taking their keys for years now. I cant say enough good thing about this place. They truly care about your pet and your pets health is their first priority! Dr. Linda Ellington has been my primary vet but I have also gone to her daughter who is also really good and to other vets when she is not available but she is my favorite! She is honest with you and she is very caring. Their staff has been with them for a long time and that says a lot.
It's a neighborhood place that accepts anyone. Friendly, knowledgeable and customer friendly. More like a family than a business. Takes the best care of my 4 pits!
Total Waste of Time! We have been with Dearborn for over 8 years. I asked if I could get my pup seen today, they said come over now and we will squeeze you in. 2 hours later and 7 dogs appointments in front of us I left! DO NOT GO WHEN THEY SAY THEY CAN "SQUEEZE YOU IN". They lost a good long tern customer because their front desk staff could not do what they said they would do.
Excellent service! Dr Ellington was a pure delight and I couldn’t be happier with the service I received! She addressed every concern, and made sure Jynx is happy and comfy! Definitely recommend this clinic
Vets and nice people!
I have adopted my cat here. Staff are extremely nice and doctor is very knowledgeable. Price is really fair.
Nice staff
Never go without an appointment unless you have no choice! You can sit in their waiting room for (literally) hours. Other than that, they will do their best!
I had a completely terrible experience with the main vet at this location, I was having some Financial issues so I was referred here because they do payment plans. I brought my dog who was going into labor here to get a c section. After examining her they told me they wanted her to get spayed since my I was going through financial issues because next time I breed her I would most likely be going through financial issues then too which was not true. I told them that I did not want her spayed and I didn’t plan on it and that the financial issues was just something very temporary. I figured they understood that I was telling the truth because she sent a receptionist in to take my payment and set me up on a payment plan. After I payed she came in and said have you made your mind up on spaying yet? In which I had already told her I was firm on not doing, by then they had already drug her up and popped her pouch! After I told her NO for the 3rd time she said well I won’t be able to help you and we can’t refund you I’m which she still charged me for pre starting on giving birth to her. After going to the car and calling 5 other places bc it was getting late I finally convinced my gf to give me the money until I got paid next week. I rushed back in and told her I will just pay the fee flat out to prevent them from spaying her. She then replied “I will still have to spy her to prevent complications in the future when she gets older”, even tho my dog is only a year and 2 months which is Farley young. After that I finally just gave up and took her somewhere else where I end up losing 2 of the puppies due to her starting the procedure and not finishing it!
Not what it used to be. It used to be reasonably priced and they really cared about the animals. Something has changed...staffing, pricing...not the amazing place i used to rave about to everyone. I no longer recommend, sadly. They also used to be more holistic, now seeing a holistic vet at gwinette animal hospital.
Dr Ellington is a wonderful caring Verterinarian and her staff is exceptional. I recommend them highly and I have been using them for about 15 years.
This is the place to go if you need a vet in the Atlanta area. The staff is absolutely wonderful. They will go above and beyond to take care of your beloved pet. The pricing is very reasonable and there is credit available for those who need it.
This place takes excellent care of my dog and the prices are much lower than other vets I have visited. The doctors as well as the techs are a team of caring and knowledgeable professionals.
Dr. Ellington is the most caring vet I ever met! Strongly recommend this practice.
A complete joke for a front desk and customer service. I called Wednesday 10/11/2017 to make and appointment for Friday 10/13/2017 for my dogs annual shots. The lady who answered the phone said, "we have afternoon spots open at 11, 1:30, etc., Call back Friday morning and we'll just make you a same day appt". Ok, odd but I did that. I started calling at 9 am, supposedly when they open, the phone rang once and went blank. Their machine didn't even pick up. I continued calling, 12 times according to my cell phone record, same thing every singe time until 9:30 before I was put into "queue" by the machine and finally a young lady answered. I was told that all same day appointments have been filled and I couldn't make an appt. for today. I asked why I was told to call back, why they couldn't have made an appointment the first day I called....NO ANSWER. I told them it was beyond poor customer service and unacceptable....there was ZERO apology made. She asked if I wanted my dogs medical records so I could take her somewhere else. REALLY? That's their answer!! I will make sure everyone knows what little regard they have for their customers and our fur babies. You just pissed off a 6 year customer. Congrats.
These are good hearted people that are clearly animal lovers. Everybody was extremely nice and helpful. Dr. Duncan (and the vet tech with dreads) were over the top friendly and helpful with my questions/concerns. My pit was very happy and taken good care of. I had an AMAZING experience. I can't thank you enough!
Sheer incompetence when it comes to scheduling. They demanded my spouse come in 5 hours before the appointment (a basic annual physical necessary to keep him registered) or would refuse to see our cat. They then insisted she leave the cat with them for five hours until they could get to him, stressing him out and leaving my spouse a complete wreck from a highly upset cat. After sending her away, they called her less than an hour later to say he was ready for pick-up, doped to the gills because he was so distressed they could not handle him awake. Very disappointed, completely incompetent from a scheduling and customer relations standpoint. When I called looking for an explanation they left me on hold for nearly an hour before hanging up on me without another word. I expect better service and communication from airlines and cable companies, much less a vet.
Took my 12 week old pup there this morning and Dr. Perkins and her vet tech were wonderful! It wasn't overly expensive for a bunch of vaccines, stool sample testing and general check up. Because my dog is a rescue they waived her exam fee. They asked all the questions I'd expect a good vet to ask and they gave Bowie plenty of praise and treats during the more uncomfortable parts of her visit (checking her temperature, for example...). Dr. Perkins recommended some things to try and train out Bowie's object guarding, and we're all set to see her again in a few weeks to finish up my pup's vaccinations. We're really looking forward to it!.
Also had a negative experience here. On the phone, the woman was rude. Still, I thought I'd give them a try since we'd adopted a dog from the shelter and our initial visit was free. (Thanks for that!) But no one even greeted us when we went in and we waited 15 minutes before being put in a room where we waited some more. When the vet finally came in, 40 minutes past our appt time, she spoke AT me, not WITH me, sometimes condescendingly. I'm sure the vets are well trained, but I felt no warmth, no welcome. We won't be returning.
We've been going to Dearborn for years. As a whole, everything has always been fine. The past few visits most of the staff has been very rude, specifically two of the employees. Today I called to ask about my sick cat and try to make an appointment. The lady on the phone was so rude (this same lady has been rude many times), that I called back and asked to cancel all future appointments for our pets. We have never complained and have spent a lot of money here. We will now be going somewhere else where the employees are friendly and respectful to their customers.
I've taken my pets to Dearborn for many years, and have had good experiences with every vet we've seen. Dr. Ellington in particular is incredibly devoted to the well-being of her patients; she cared for my two dogs from their youth through their twilight years with skill and compassion. She and the other veterinarians communicate clearly and thoroughly about my pets' issues. As with any vet, this communication is enhanced when the pet owner provides clear and complete information, asks questions, and pays attention to what the vet says. Don't be afraid to ask questions -- the vets at Dearborn will take the time to understand your question and give you a thorough answer! Today my elderly, blind cat and I had our first experience with Dr. Duncan, who has a cheerful but authoritative bedside manner. She was quite gentle with the kitty, keeping her in her soft bed as she was removed from the crate so she wouldn't have to lie on the cold table. The cat seemed confident as long as she was in her familiar nest, so when Dr. Duncan took her back for blood work, she scooped the kitty up bed and all, and carried her like a baby in a blanket. My cat is easily frightened, and hides for days if we so much as bring a stranger in the house to fix a faucet. I'm happy to say that when she got home from her vet trip today, she fell right back into her normal routine as if she'd never been out of the house. Many thanks to Dr. Duncan for making the exam so easy on her.
Dearborn animal hospital is amazing! I went for their walk-in hours on Saturday with my two young cats. While we did have to wait for an hour this was extremely short given that the only do walk-ins on Saturday. The staff is extremely helpful and the vet techs and Dr. Ellington spent a lot of time explaining how to best care for my pets. The facility itself is extremely clean. I would highly recommend my friends and family to take their pets to Dearborn animal hospital for the best quality Care
Great hospital and wonderful veterinary staff, customer service from front office is generally abyssal, might have to do with their phone system or lazy employees, hard to tell.
I've taken my cat here a few times and I've always had a great experience. Well not so much for my cat lol. Staff and doctors are knowledgeable and sympathetic to you and your pets needs and I've been recommending my friends and strangers to this hospital. Pricing is average and I've been to some that were outrageously priced and this location gives me good vibes all around.
Yesterday we asked for our files from Dearborn and took them and our dog to a new vet, it was not a decision that came lightly as we absolutely love the doctors here. However, a front desk staff that is continuously rude and always has an attitude can only be tolerated for so long. As I just mentioned, the doctors here are phenomenal, they loved our dog like he was one of theirs and provided exceptional care for him during our time there. Over the 4th of July our dog was being treated for a snake bite on his foot and was having lots of complications, Dr. Ellington gave us her cell phone so that we could reach her over the holiday if needed. As far as the front desk staff goes they have been rude since day one. Whether you call them on the phone or are there in person they always seem to have a major attitude problem and the way they address and speak to their customers is uncalled for. As I read through reviews I see that others have experienced this as well and I think its extremely unfortunate that a vet with such great doctors has such a rude stuff representing them.
I have just lost my wonderful 17 year old Golden Retriever, Brinkley. Without the care and support of Dr. Ellington, Dr. Cely, and the entire TERRIFIC staff he would never have had the long quality of life he had. Dr. Cely wheeled him through the back room so everyone could say goodbye to the love of my life. I don't know where the naysayers have been but it can't be Dearborn. Thank G_d for it.
It all started when my Miracles passed and I took her to Dearborn and Dr. Murdock took care of everything they all treated me so nice and then I adopted a dog named Grace and she had severe ear infections and Dr. Sarah took great care of her what a great team of loving, caring people can"t wait to see the new location they are my kind of vets and staff to have my Grace around. Also very affordable.
Love Dr Ellington, the staff is great except for one. I'll be nice and leave her unnamed, but anyone who goes there knows who I'm talking about. But they are great with the animals. Use them as my vet and for boarding. Been going for years with my previous cats and now my dog.
Woulda, shoulda, coulda been any number of stars less than 5 because of the service, but, the owner, Dr. Linda Ellington, is a literal saint. Words cannot describe how much I love this woman's work with my precious little baby angel straight from heaven, Wheatie, a 10-year-old Golden Doodle. Dr. Ellington has saved his life on multiple occasions, and still always has a story to tell about something he did that made him her "favorite patient of the day," before she rubs noses with him one last time, and returns him to me, healthier than ever. I do not trust my dog's life with anyone more than I do with Dearborn.
Great vets. Walk-in as well as appointments.
Great friendly staff and flexible with pricing.
Long wait with 2 dogs and a had an appointment...
Very good place for pet day care
Was not initially a client but was recommended to them for a test my pet needed. Got kind and professional courtesy. The doctor even called on a Saturday morning to follow up. Great job!
caring vets and staff that take time with your pets. been bringing my pets here for over 14 years. reasonable price for good pet care
Thoughtful & caring as well as reasonable. They have been our vets for years
They gushed and adored over my kitty and made him and my family feel so welcome and important.
THANK FOR YOU . THEY HELP FOR MY PUPPY SAKAIR GOOD BETTER BUT SHE WAS HAPPENED BLOOD POOP N VOMITING BECAUSE DOCTOR ER FOR 4 DAYS I JUST KEEP IT CALL ME EVERYDAY ....
A decent place to take your pets, but wait times can be long, and one Doctor made inappropriate comments when we mentioned we had to put one of our cats down a few years ago, in the room we were currenly in. This vet also cannot handle major stuff like a cat's broken leg.
Dr Ellington and the other doctors at Dearborn Animal Hospital have been super with our two dogs! They were so kind and gentle as one of our dogs reached the end of her life. Our other dog has never been happy to be prodded and poke but the staff really manages him well. We could not be more pleased. Also, the new location and facilities are awesome!
Wonderful experience. The receptionists, teach and Dr. were all very friendly. Very clean and welcoming lobby, bathroom and exam room.
Not a good place to take your pets, they just don't seem to care at all. They act like it's a big inconvenience to them that I showed up with my sick cat with cancer that needed to be put down. I am moving my pets to Village Vets also in Decatur. I would give them zero stars if I could.
Dr. Ellington always wonderful and always calls back. Great with my kitty cats. Always goes the extra mile. Beautiful space.....closer to my home than before.....
Take very good care of your animals thank you very much
Compassionate Care and very affordable.
My dog is in the same shape as when I took her here. They even referred me to a hospital that required almost$4000 for an MRI. No one returns my calls. I'm very disappointed
I only go here to buy my dog's prescription food. Been going for 5 years. Lowest prices in town. I called about 20 vets price checking beforehand. Prices very comparable to online prices
when visiting ask for Linda Ellington, DVM !!! This Dr. is so caring and really has the perfect words She is amazingly gentle. She IS a beautiful soul !
I took my sweet rescue to Dr. Warmington. She passed today, and Dr. Warmington was incredibly gracious and kind. Thank you for taking such good care of us.
The vet took the time to explain everything to me they where very caring toward my pet and i. She answered all my questions .
What the heck is up with the office staff here?! Incredibly rude. INCREDIBLY rude.
I've been coming here for about 8 years now and haven't had any problems until recently. First, they ruined the fecal sample I gave them for my dog over the weekend and therefore he was sick for much longer than he should have been. They also did not call the number I left for them to let me know and instead used an old number. Now, a few weeks later, my dog is sick again. I was told the wait would not be that long, and somehow that turned into four hours. That's fine, but not allowing drop offs after a certain time is ridiculous, especially if I'm going around the corner to get something to eat (since I have been waiting for FOUR hours) and coming back. This won't stop me from coming back since pricing is pretty good, but I can't give them a five star rating for this.
Have been a client for over a decade, professional, state of the art facility . Caring for our first baby's with compaction starts with the proprietor and ends after you leave. I can't trust anyone else.
I can't say enough good things about this clinic. If human doctors only cared about people as much as these people care about my animals... but for real, my dog loves these people. He's never afraid to go to the vet. They are super kind to us and very thorough. Thank you guys for keeping my baby happy and healthy! We love you guys.
We had a great time and they helped me out greatly cause I had a rescue. Bella and I say thank you with all our hearts
We have been going to Dearborn for years and years, very helpful people, caring vets, especially caring when your pet has something terrible. Congratulations to them on their new facility.
We love the veterinarians at Dearborn Animal Hospital. They have saved our pets more times than I can count and we know we get the very best and brightest there on every visit. We highly recommend them!
Good, caring people here, thats all you need to know.
Wow... Dearborn was the best experience I have ever had when it came down to Prynce's health. They explained everything to us. Lola up at the front desk always greeted us with a smile and explained the charges. Mariele explain the questions that she was about to ask us because we were putting Prynce down. Brian is always checking us in with smile. Dr. Ami Perkins is great. She was sidelined when it came to this time with Prynce, his mind was strong but his body was crumbling. He had arthritis over his entire body. We called Jeffrey over the phone and together we decided it was time. I know it arms like we had been with Dearborn for years but it was just 3 months. Kudos to Dearborn staff. We love you and wish you the very best. The Wynns
Dr Ellington and staff is wonderful, for the past 6 year I had a vetenarian in Georgia and Texas.... coco and Lily will miss her we don't travel like we used to...
Every-time I have brought my animals here the staff and vets themselves are friendly, compassionate and knowledgeable. The pricing seems reasonable. I would definitely recommend Dearborn Animal Hospital.
I love to bring my kittens to this hospital , love the doctors and the staff. They are clean and very nice.
They are the best in making sure you understand what is going in with your little fur babies. They take thier time with you and don't make you feel rushed. Thank you to all the great doctors at Dearborn.
Awsome veterinary and technicians.
Don't waste your time at this vet. My pet and I are new clients at this vet and the service is unprofessional. You have to call several times to follow up and ensure that they are providing your pet with quality care. When you call, the office places you on hold forever because it uses an answering system, which means you have to remain on the line until someone becomes available. They are also slow with faxing pet prescriptions and they give false information. I was told my pet would receive a pet ID card that would arrive in the mail. Never seen it. I will not return to this vet again.
Made me wait 2 hours and I still never was seen. Wasted my day
The negative reviewer must have gone someplace I have never been. We've been using Dearborn for almost 20 years and could not ask for more compassionate care or having all of our options clearly explained by a loving and caring vet. Yes, they are busy -- but the wait is well worth the care.
Have taken my cocker that for some time . Love the vets and the staff.
Very kind staff. If you need a last minute walk in arrive at 9 am and you're good.
I have been going there for years and in the past two years it has all changed. They used to be so nice but now the staff cuts you off and brow beats you on the phone. They tell you one thing on the phone and another thing once you get there. You may have an appointment but when you get there, you have to wait three hours with a very sick dog. Beware. I have been treated so badly and I have been a loyal customer for over 15 years. How will they treat a new client? Be careful if you insist on trying them, don't let the front desk people interfere with you and your pet actually seeing a vet. Not nice people out front but if you can actually get to the vets, they are both competent and caring.
They take good care of pets. That's were I take Duke for his shots.
I cannot say enough good things about this vet. They are wonderful with pets and have a loving bedside manner. When my cat had kidney failure, they did everything they could for him. When my mom's dog got dementia they were honest about having to say goodbye because he was in so much pain. My own dog who is 15 years old and full of life has received top notch care from them. They are excellent in dentistry as they really helped my baby's teeth remain healthy. Definitely bring your pets here. Reasonable prices and will do payment plans for large procedures.
These people are some if the best in the business.
No where near the place it used to be. It’s no longer about the animals but it’s about the money. I know it’s a business, but things have changed in the last years. It’s more expensive, reception people are uncaribgband mostly interested in getting off on time. They had rather get off early than take care of an sick animal. It’s really sad because I used to rave about this place....that is no longer the case.
This place with NEVER be the same since Dr. Jackson passed away when they were still over on College Ave. Miss that man as a vet and just a great human being. I go to Clairmont Animal Hospital now.
We got very good care for our new kitten. All of the staff were very friendly. It is difficult during busy times of the day to get someone on the phone however which can be frustrating. The building is obviously older, but adequate and clean.
We took our pet to Dearborn Animal Hospital a week ago for a late afternoon walk-in appointment. The staff was extremely friendly and our pet was seen within a reasonable amount of time considering she didn't have an appointment. The veterinarian was pleasant and attentive. The prices were also very reasonable. We'll definitely return for more visits in the future.
I love the vets and vet techs, but unfortunately front desk staff lack of training and costumer service leaves a lot to wish for.
One of the best area Animal Clinics.
Very friendly staff. Clean waiting area and rooms. Affordable!! They also do payment plans if you are in a financial bind. Would recommend to all my friends and family. I recommend making an appointment. I didn't wait long at all, but other people who didn't make one were there after we left.
We love Dearborn animal hospital. We are fairly new using them, but we love each vet we have worked with. We highly recommend this clinic and the staff is super friendly! They also do a lot to help pets in need! Pet Buddies Food Pantry
Use to be really good. Now not as caring as they use to be. Had to wait forever and had a appointment.
Outstanding all the way around.....
I have brought my pets here for years and adopted a few rescues from them! I love the staff and really trust them in caring for my pets. I will not take my pets anywhere else.
I'm only giving my two visit experience four stars, because on both occasions I had to put a beloved old companion to sleep, and feel a little odd, saying I loved the experience. The staff were marvelous, very caring and sensitive. The doctors, took the time to post (snail mail) handwritten cards to commiserate our loss, which means more than I can say, being extremely Old School, I appreciated this greatly. (of course New Schooled would appreciate this too :) I have two 1 year old cats who have been seen by the Atlanta Humane Society, but now with the discovery of Dearborn Animal Hospital, so close to home, I hope they will have the opportunity of being seen at this hospital in future. Thank you.
Dr Ellington is the very, very best veterinarian I have ever seen out of quite a few! I highly recommend this place for your beloved pet!
They left a staple in my cat's backside after he had to have a drain placed and then removed in that area. The first vet tech that assessed us was really great. He made me feel as though he was genuinely sorry that the sitatuon happened, and he showed genuine concern about how my cat was taken care of. However, the next person to come in and see us made me feel like utter crap. Young, thin lady with a long, strawberry blonde braid. She literally said, "oh look at how hidden that is. I would have missed that, too." Little did she know that before she came in, her coworker spotted the staple from across the room. He was literally able to take down the location of the staple from across the room with no trouble at all. She also made it seem like I had no reason to be upset. That stuff like that happens all of the time. She brushed and shrugged us off. I left crying. My cat is my baby. I feel this sort of thing should never happen. The staple had awkardly grown into his skin, and he did not have a good time going back there and having no topical pain reliever or anything to make him more comfortable as they ripped the staple out of him. We are finding him a new doctor. I wish all of the best for the first guy (he has really long dreadlocks. Probably in his 30's). He actually seemed to care and offered me and my cat compassion because we were both clearly upset. That other girl however really made me feel like my feelings and concerns about my baby were invalid, and like hurrying through procedures and mistakes like the one made with us are perfectly acceptable. No thanks.
I needed my dog Quarantine for ten days and was given a quote by phone the total amount was 186 and some change. After I got there I was informed that they would need $100 down which is understandable since I was a new patient. After I got my dog situated and was sitting out in the lobby to finish necessary paperwork and for my husband to call in and pay by phone the $100 I was informed that the bill would not be 186 and the change but $400 plus. After spending my whole day cutting corners at work getting extra support so that I could get off early to find that the quote that was given by phone and when I first arrived has changed was devastating. Apparently the have given me the quote for a discount employee and I was unable to leave my dog because of the dramatic change in price. This caused a domino affect in my day my week and my compliance with Gwinnett County Animal Enforcement in which put me in jeopardy of getting a fine because I have until 5pm that day to get him checked in and I arrived at there office after 4pm so the time to look for another vet that had the space and board him at a reasonable price was out the question. This was a terrible Experience.
I have been a loyal client for 20 years- The wonderful Vets and all the staff are fantastic! I can't say enough good things about all the staff. They are caring, concerned and spend time with both the owner and the pet. I will continue to go! They do have a problem with one staff member who pops up in the bad reviews, hopefully they will resolve this soon.
Best staff ever....so reaosnable.....love this vet
absolute waste of time. makes you sit for hours. Do not go here
I LOVE THEM!! since I call on the phone I felt their nice, positive vibe. Chris the Assistant came to our car and help us get our injured dog out the car after being ran over. He was amazing, loving and had a very positive attitude, he gave us hope the moment we walked in! And Dr. Perkins was the best! She was very professional and loving as well. She explained everything perfect. She made us feel safe that Ava was in good hands. Nice and clean facility and affordable prices. I ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND THIS PRACTICE!
The staff has always treated me with respect and they treated my dog like a VIP patient. My dog had complex surgery and the Dr who did the surgery was outstanding!!. Thank you Dearborn staff for your loving care.
STAY AWAY!!! They are the absolute worst people on the planet! They are rude, don't answer their phones (if you do get them on the phone they hang up on you), and do not do what you ask them to do...and then they expect you to pay for it not to mention their terribly long wait times. They do not communicate anything with the customer. In fact when I called about getting my dogs medication they told me that I would need to show proof that I was in fact the owner when I had used their services in the past FOR THE SAME DOG! (apparently they do not document anything)! They admitted to me over the phone that they give dogs away to the wrong owners. I have been there multiple times and have never met the veterinarian; they always seem to be "too busy" to communicate with their customers. They are not organized. Not sure who is running this business but my dog could do a better job. Will never use them again, and I will tell everyone I know to do the same.
I'm visiting from out of town and had an emergency with my Italian Greyhound (he's 10 years old, small, and delicate). They saw us 15 minutes before closing and were incredibly kind and helpful. They also were no where near as expensive as I felt the visit might be. The entire staff that helped us was wonderful! It was like taking him to my vet back home in Florida! I don't think I could have found a better vet last minute!
Very friendly, experienced staff. Fair pricing. Do not answer phones.
This place caters to anyone who's not able to pay for the pets but can make monthly payments, very caring and loving and friendly
Called ahead to find out if they could provide a health certificate for my pet. They told me the price and said I could come on in. When I arrived, I had to wait thirty minutes to be told that whoever I talked to gave me the wrong information and they could not provide the service. They barely apologized for their error and seemed to suggest I was making up my phone call...despite the fact that they admitted techs often answer the phone when they are busy and might not be able to offer the right information. I am so frustrated at being denied a confirmed service. I would not trust them for pet care considering the lack of organization and responsibility. I am not the type to write a negative review, but their poor management threatens the ability of concerned pet owners to receive care.
The best I can give is 3 stars. For the surgery on my dogs leg. Everything else, I just can't believe they can run it this way even at half capacity. If y'all don't know how to do walk-ins and appointments simultaneously- allow me to make a suggestion: Have walk-in only days! Instead of making me wait almost 2 hrs for a heartworm test! I guess it never occurred to you that you could just grab my dog from the waiting room, perform the test (10 mins) and send me on my way without taking up a room, and wasting that much of my time.....yet I figured this out while waiting for y'all. Doesn't take a rocket scientist... I initially wanted to make an appointment, but the lady on the phone INSISTED I come on a walk in. Said it wouldn't take long at all. 2+ hrs waiting with a toddler...thanks you guys! Worst customer service. ALSO: I was sent home WITHOUT knowing the heartworm test results. Tech said she'd call....I tried to call at 1 but they're CLOSED! Thanks again! By the way yall....heartworm prevention is a SCAM! That fear bottle of heartworms is a gimmick. Can't contract heartworm under 57 degrees...fyi. The techs/Vets are selling you de-wormer every month. There is no such thing as "heartworm prevention" only treatment. Research yourself if you don't believe me.
This place was very packed but my fault as I went on a Saturday where they take walk ins. I went in that day as I got a cat from the DeKalb County Animal Shelter and the first visit to Dearborn was free. All in all the staff were very pleasant and took care of my needs and my cat's needs.
I think the world of dearborn ....they have always been there for me.... My name is Sparky and i am well loved patient.
Great animal hospital with a skilled, caring staff. I brought in two dogs with a bad leg for x-rays. They kept the dogs calm and focused during the visit. You can't do better than Dearborn.
If you love your pets take them here for veterinary care, products, and service. Caring, professional staff.
Everyone here is really nice, and my pitbull never leaves looking traumatized or anything. The doctors give you good advice, don't try to oversell you on unnecessary stuff. The wait can be a little long depending on when you go, but the prices are reasonable and they're great vets
The Dearborn doctors are wonderful and care for your pet with empathy. The office itself is disorganized and it is difficult to get an appointment and it seems that the policies on appointments change frequently or the front staff don't understand them. I would highly recommend them once they work the front office issues out.
They simply care! They have some kitties looking a good home.
The staff were comforting and very patient when my family and I had to say goodbye to our four legged sibling.
Best vet clinic I've encountered in 15 years. My wife and I will happily drive across town to stay for our pups to remain their patients. The staff is what makes this place great. The support staff makes or breaks a vet's office, and Dearborn's staff is a human resource dept's dream!
This is the ONLY place my animals go! I have 2 dogs and 2 cats and going to the vet hasn't always been easy or affordable. Here, it is both. The techs treat my animals (and my kids) like their own. Dr. Ellington and her entire staff are amazing.
The best Vet in Atlanta!!
My family has used Dearborn since I can remember. The best veterinarians and vet techs in the city.
The Staff is Professional, Efficienct , and Kind! The Service was more than I expected...I highly recommend their service. Dr Cely was very informative and Knowledgeable.
Been coming here for 3 years very friendly staff and knowledgeable too.
Good customer service and they real nice to my cat and they treat me with respect and very friendly
The people that work here are absolutely AHHHMAAAZING. DR.Brown went above and beyond to help my baby Tua. Unfortunately he couldn't be saved. She tries her very best though
I see that they try to be friendly but I didn't really felt that way. The doctor and technician came to see me about 30 min over appointment time. And after I checked out, I realized that the person who checked me out on the front desk didn't schedule follow up visit that the doctor mentioned on her note. In addition to that, the most unpleasant experience was that the doctor did not listen what I talk about my cats. Quoting someone who left a review before, the doctor didn't talk WITH me. I know they are trained vets and they know better on symptoms and diseases, but I am the one kept observing how my cats are doing. They should've at least try to listen what I saw how they are different and what I tried so far. Overall, I would say this place is not bad but not making me feeling I am really welcomed here. Would rather find other place.
Friendly and professional staff provided excellent care to our two dogs. This vet can be very busy on the weekends if you choose to walk-in - make an appointment for a weekday visit instead and avoid the hassle.
Tanya is very helpful. Treats your pet like her own family. She calms down ur animal if afraid. Make m feel at home.
Love this place. They have always treated my pet with respect love them
I love this place. Great with animals
Love the vets, vet techs but I was double billed for $94. Somehow a previous service rendered a month prior was added to my bill for that day. I didn't notice the discrepancy until I got home. I called and spoke to a very rude and discourteous employee named Shay'.Though I was calm, polite and saw this as nothing more than a clerical error, Shay was very short with me and when I had the audacity to refuse her offer to allow Dearborn to hold onto my $94 and treat it as a credit for future visits, she gave me an exhale of disgust through the telephone, the type you get from a teenager, then replied rudely with, "the office manager will call you." Then she hung up on me. Of course, the office manager hasn't called me and of course I'm not through with this or Shay.'I'll be discussing this matter further with whoever pays her. It's a shame, too. Nice people, nice vet techs and vets, and if the matter with my pet wasn't potentially serious, I'd go somewhere else based solely on the poor treatment I received from Shay.'But after I get through this current matter with my pet, if Dearborn still has Shay on their payroll, I won't step foot in that place again and will be sure to post this matter on review boards and share with all who will listen about Dearborn clinic's Shay and her rude behavior toward me as I dared to question a $94 charge double billed to me.
Affordable and caring staff.
Doctor is incredibly thorough and nice .. The assistant was super hrly and my dogs fell in love with them.
My experience here was phenomenal. The veterinarian my two kittens saw was very knowledgeable and gave me plenty of tips for taking care of and understanding my new fur babies!
They set up a payment plan for me and sent me home with everything I needed at once. Thank you for making things easier. This was a blessing.
I Love it. The whole team are excellent
I have been going here for several years. The entire staff is very friendly and show they care for Zoey. A little pricie though. Just as long as they do their best for my baby!
UPDATE: I wrote this two years ago and wanted to post an update because I wish I could give 10 stars. Just had another amazing appointment with Dr. Navarra and she has diagnosed something that could extend my pets healthy years. She called me with test results and talked through them for 20 minutes! And they remain affordable. --------- I've been with Dearborn Animal Hospital for almost 8 years with my pets. They offer the type of caring customer service approach that is difficult to find in any industry. When you are worried about a sick pet, it's so comforting to have people actually care about your problems. They've also been very accommodating when I've needed walk-in appointments for more urgent matters. On top of that, their prices don't break the bank. If there was a ranking higher than 5 stars I would give them that.
The doctors are very good and the prices are reasonable. But- they also have terrible customer service, a crowded & gross waiting room, and extremely long wait times(hours). (I suggest waiting in your car if you decide to go).
One of the WORST vets I have ever been to. I called over the phone about a cat needing to see a doctor immediately and they told me to come in, we waited forever as the cats eye was oozing, he was super weak, out of it, and he could barely breathe. The last time we came up here the vets made us feel like a huge inconvenience. To me they don't seem to really care much about the animals. Especially when your sitting in a room with a cat this sick and they are chit chatting in the back about this, that, and the other that had nothing to do with the animals. Will not be coming back here. The only doctor we did see the first time we came was Dr. Britton and she was super nice.. Along with her younger vet tech. Everyone else, even the people at the desk all have shitty attitudes.
I have been really happy with the doctors and staff at Dearborn. They love their patients, give you options and don't pressure you. They clearly love what they are doing, and it shows. I took my cat in for routine visit and an estimate on dental work. The assessment was good and we expect to have the work done soon and with minimal pain for our cat. Thanks Dearborn.
What a flipping nightmare. I called to make an appointment, and they said "come on in" I explained over the phone that my dog was ill and needed x, y, & z, can you see her today. They said yes. I go in and and the vet tech evaluates my dog in the waiting room and then 3 hours later, they tell me they didn't have any availability. I kid you not. I had a major meltdown, and I am no sorry. This is unacceptable and irresponsible. NEVER AGAIN!
Great staff. They have taken care of all our animals over the years with care given to the animals and the wallet.
Awesome. Affordable prices and you can tell they care more about animals than money. They will be where I take all of my dogs from now on.
the pricing is good but I feel like the vet didn't really answer any of our questions.Don't get me wrong she was very nice but she skimmed the surface. I felt like the answeres we were getting were beating around the bush instead of factual information to help us better understand what was going on with our dog. other then that the staff was very friendly.
I am very disappointed and frustrated with the lack of service that I am receiving from Dearborn. Not only did they change an appointment I already had to a whole month later!!!, they also gave me 3 different prices on spaying my kittens each time I called. They appear to be very disorganized, and I am currently looking for another veterinarian.
