My neighbor referred me to Chattahoochee Animal Clinic for my new puppy. They have been very helpful, friendly, reasonable and accommodating! The vets are very knowledgeable and always answer my questions. I appreciate how they have been practical and I have never felt like they charged me for anything extra or that wasn’t necessary. I love this Vet! My dog loves everyone that works there and is never scared to be there and is always excited to go to the back. They take such great care of him while he is there and I never worry about him while he is there. I have actually moved closer to the city but continue to take my dog to Chattahoochee because of the amazing care that he receives there. I trust them there and my dog trusts them and that means a great deal.

I have been calling around for Vets in the Roswell Ga area to get a neuter for my new cat ASAP. The VCA in Roswell (whom I just paid over $400.00 for a full exam, vaccines, meds etc) tried charging me over $200.00 for the neuter, which I thought was too much. Until I called THIS place. Get this, to neuter my cat as a new patient costs.......(drum roll)......$416.00!!!! Are you serious? How on EARTH do you justify that kind of money just to NEUTER a cat? Unless you are financially SET and don't ever have to worry about money I suppose a good staff could be enough for you (though the woman I spoke with was not humoring my questions about why the cost was so high). Yeah....I guess I'll wait for the $20.00 Humane Society spay/neuter program to get me in. =(

The love and respect they have for both animals and people is huge. I was very excited to have my fur baby's 1st grooming today since she became a part of our family just 2 months ago. Bellisima is a 7 year old female Westie and since I was used to having a Dalmation, I didn't know who to take Bellisima to for a good grooming. When our Dalmation, Jake was with us, I would occasionally stop by CAC to pick up his food since I couldn't always drive to his vet of many years in Smyrna. I always felt comfortable going to Chattahoochee Animal Clinic...it felt like I was visiting family every time I went in. I felt confident as I went on their website yesterday to read about Kathleen Pickering, a very talented groomer with 25 years of experience for ALL BREEDS. So, I made an appointment and took Bellisima in to see her. I was so impressed and happy that she patiently listened to me and did exactly what I asked of her when it came to Bellisima's initial grooming. We are officially on our way to growing our babys beautiful coat to a modified Westie cut! I love Kathleen's energy and fun nature. She is so kind and I could tell she would treat Bellisima with the utmost care. I look forward to continuing to see everyone at CAC for all of Bellisima's needs...she and I found a home at Chattahoochee Animal Clinic. Thank you again!

Can I just say I LOVE Chattahoochee Animal Clinic!!!! It’s 9:30pm and Dr Smith is calling me to go over Charlie’s details and check on him!!! Every single time I have had to go there, even when Charlie was my Foster, they go out of their way to be there for my dog and me. When Charlie was hit by a car, they calmed my husband and went out of their way to help him through the horrible event. When I take Charlie in, all the techs know him by name and smother him with love. I am completely in awe of the level of commitment and support they offer. I’m so happy this was an Angels approved Vet and we were able to find them. Just had to brag for a moment!! Been a long 5 months since we first opened our doors to Charlie, and we spent many weeks at this vet’s door. If you’re looking for a vet, don’t question, just go. I've been bringing my Golden Retriever to Dr. Smith and his techs since Astor was just 8 weeks old, and it's always been such a great experience. They handle the routine and the not-so-routine visits with grace and care, and Astor absolutely LOVES going into their offices. They treat him like one of their own, and he even gets to hang out up front with Ms. Lisa sometimes. ;) They always offer to let me stay w/Astor during the appointment, or simply drop him off and pick him up (whatever is best for my work schedule that day). A happy pup makes my life more happy, too, so thanks to the staff at CAC!

Chattahoochee Animal Clinic has great boarding. We found them to have better services at better prices than other boarding facilities. Our dog was happy, flea free, and walked 3x/ day. We appreciate that each dog is given a flea treatment upon arrival to ensure that no fleas are in the facility. We've already booked our next reservation!

Came to this clinic for a second opinion on my 12 year old lab for a mass that was "not removable". Dr. Smith took a look at him and then spoke with me about the options. He gave several options for doing the procedure and the pros-cons of each option. He was upfront and honest with all the options and spent a great deal of time with me. Dr Smith is a busy guy, so I appreciated that. We ended up doing the procedure and it went very well with no surprises. Definitely recommend this staff and doc.

Dr. Smith and Dr. Dawkins are very thorough in their medical treatment to Hattie and very dedicated and attentive to her. I just moved back to Roswell and needed a vet. My parents go to this clinic and said they are great, so I decided to give it a try since they are right around the corner. The place is clean and staff was really great. I saw Dr. Smith and he did a detailed exam on my dog and welcomed me back to Roswell. He told me that I could email him anytime with questions about my dog, which in incredibly convenient with my type of schedule. Everyone of his staff were helpful during the visit and made the adjustment to a new vet really simple.

I cannot recommend this place enough. The doctors and staff here truly care about our pets. We came to them in a time of need when caring for our newborn orphaned puppy Dante. We were scared and confused about what to do as he had a very rocky start to life. Dr. Dawkins spoke with us on our first visit. After seeing our puppy, she helped us calm down and become more confident in our ability to care for him. She has been in constant contact with us via email and telephone. She responds to every question in a timely manner even when she is not working. We absolutely love this place. We tried multiple other places before coming to this clinic that gave us different advise at each place, however our puppies condition didn't seem to improve. Since seeing both Dr. Dawkins and Dr. Smith our puppy is stronger than ever. The office staff is fantastic as well. They are all very nice and call occasionally to check on our pup. If you are on the fence about picking a clinic for your pets, I can tell you that you will find no better care than you will here. They have reasonable pricing as well. My family and I could not be a more happy customer/patient. (we are as much a patient as our dog) :) Thank you for reading and hope this can help you make a decision.

This is more of a thank you to Dr Smith and staff for helping me with my poor baby boy. He has a pretty severe deformity on his front paw, that he has had since I got him. Some how he managed to really hurt that paw and cause what seemed to be a wound that just wouldn't heal no matter what I did. I had called around several clinics to see who could help me. Most of the clinics I called seemed cold and had no time for me, but Chattahoochee Animal Clinic's staff was patient and kind over the phone. They even worked me in on the same day. Long story short, my baby's paw is sooo much better. Dr Smith did laser therapy on his paw, which honestly at first I was a little skeptical, but that wound healed so quickly and is getting better every single day. Thanks again Dr Smith and staff for treating me and my baby with patience and compassion. I will tell all my friends about my experience and bring my baby in for his vaccines in February. : )

First visit to this clinic last week. We just moved, so I am in a constant game of catchup here. The transition to a new vet was a dread of mine along with the moving process. The front staff made it easy on my to get my records transferred over and making an appointment was a breeze. Dr. Smith and his staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating (me, 2 dogs, and 2 young kids). My kids were distracted with toys they gave them to play with, so I could concentrate on my visit with the Dr. Smith. He checked them over thoroughly and made sure I had all my questions answered. A+ on making us comfortable and at least making this an easier part of our adjustment to Georgia life.

Dr. Dawkins and Dr. Smith are so wonderful! They always go above and beyond and they have been so helpful with treating and taking care of my dog who has chronic bladder infections/UTIs. Dr. Dawkins called my dog's surgeon and went over her file for an hour to get a full medical history on my pup when we first started coming to Chattahoochee. Dr. Smith is similarly attentive, and he always does a great job to explain everything and answer any questions. Dr. Smith always loves on my pups during every visit to make sure they are happy and comfortable with him. I honestly cannot recommend one doctor over the other because we love them both so much. This clinic is fantastic and they will take great care of your pets!

We absolutely love and recommend CAC. You won't find more compassionate and loving doctors than Dr. Dawkins and Dr. Smith, I can promise you that. You can see their love for animals in every move they make. I felt good about this place since the first moment I stepped into this clinic with an orphaned newborn puppy that had a difficult start to his life. Front desk and the staff were really welcoming and nice. My husband and I were very upset and worried for our little puppy Dante, new member of our family. Dr Dawkins helped us relax and gave us clear instructions on how to give the best care for him and help him grow and be happy. Not only she helped our puppy, but had a meaningful and open conversation with us on what to except and how to stay emotionally and mentally well so we can provide the best care to our pup. We appreciate that so much and love her for the approach she continues to have towards us. She responded to every email and call, even on Saturday late at night when we had an emergency and we were scared for our pup. We also saw Dr. Smith one time when Dr. D was off that day. He is an amazing vet! We only have the best words for him too. I'm glad all pieces came together and we decided to visit this clinic in the first place. We think that was the best decision we made for our pets (and us). Our puppy is doing really well now and we will continue to see Dr. D regularly. Since I can remember I've been an avid animal lover. Choosing my career to assist veterinarians save animals life's. Recently I was one of the reasons an animal was injured and subsequently passed on. In an instance I went from driving home from work to seeing 2 dogs sprint directly into my car. Pulling over I ran to their assistance to asses the injuries. I knew that one of the dogs injuries were fatal and the other pet had fled to the opposite side of the busy road. Trying to keep the fatally injured dog calm while grabbing the ID tags to call the owner. I tried to hold it together, but tears began to fall as I told the owner that both the dogs were severely injured. While I was on the phone a woman, who pulled over to help, pointed to Chattahoochee Animal Clinic in the distance and I shouted to run to the clinic for help. Dr. Marcus Smith was first on the scene and without any hesitation he and his assistant rushed the dog into the clinic. When inside Chattahoochee Animal Clinic, the amazing staff quickly came to my aid with kind words, tissues, and a cup of water. They even encouraged me to have my dog checked out to make sure he was ok! After assuring me my dog was fine, they consistently checked in on me until I was ok to leave. Before I left, Dr. Smith came in and gently went over the possible causes for the injured dogs passing, and he assured me that I'd done everything I could've. I was astounded, here I was a non-paying customer and they treated me as if I were a part of their clinic family. That truly speaks to what kind of culture Chattahoochee Animal Clinic has and I can't thank the entire staff enough for their sympathy and kind words. Thank you for making a difficult situation a little bit easier.

I love this vet office. I chose them because of the stellar reviews and they were right. My puppy is always loved on and they answer every question I have and never seem annoyed. I've even had to randomly call with questions and they are so accommodating. The only downside is they are a little pricey based on my research but it's worth it and if you have insurance, it pays you back. I'd rather pay a little more for better care. (Also they have specials every month for stuff so that's a plus!)

This is the worst vet office I have ever taken an animal to. I never felt welcomed there. As a recent college graduate, I really feel as though I was penalized by my age. When I went to go pick up my dog after being spayed, it took over an hour. Other customers were greeted as soon as they walked in the door, however, I waited at the counter for over 5 minutes while someone stood behind the counter looking at another customers file, never acknowledging me. Once I was finally recognized, I was to wait in the waiting room for a separate room to be ready. This took over 45 minutes. Then once a room was finally "ready" I noticed signs on the doors that said "no dogs" due to a possible kennel cough exposure. After waiting in that room for 10 more minutes, a vet tech came in and read me the directions on the prescription bottles and then proceed to try to bring my dog in to that room after it was CLEARLY stated "no dogs". When I mentioned the signs, the girls response was "Wow there should be better communication here." I was completely appalled by this entire experience. On top of the unprofessionalism from the staff and potential danger to my dog health, the vet bill was $100 more than they said it originally was going to be. Safe to say I will never be going back here or recommending to other friends and/or family members in the area with animals. This vet office is very overpriced and unorganized!!! Do not go here if you are trying to avoid ridiculous fees and wish to be treated with respect.

So caring and attentive. Since money doesn't grow on trees, they help me with a plan for the best care for my dog, on a budget. They are so good about printing out a breakdown of all the costs and reviewing it with you before they do anything, so there are no surprises.

Very compassionate towards my family of dogs and are always informative...they seem to know their stuff. They always keep us in the loop of what they recommend doing and the costs associated. That is the refreshing part, plus they do not make you feel like a bad person if you opt not to do everything, which I appreciate. I highly recommend them to neighbors and family.

We just recently rescued our baby and I took her into CAC for a check up. The entire staff made both us feel at home and were super sweet with my super skittish baby. The doctor sat on the floor with her for ten minutes just petting her and slowly gaining her trust before they ran their tests on her which they knew would freak her out. The groomer on site also took care of a few mats around her ears that were too close to the skin for me to do. We love it here and they take care of us!

He was very thorough and was able to stabilize her quickly. I was so appreciative to him and his staff for their wonderful care. The staff is VERY friendly and they always take great care of my pets! I bring both my cats and dog to this clinic. Then they told me I can’t do drop off because my dog vaccinations is not complete.. we are missing distemper and bordatella .. it’s perfectly reasonable for them to keep the environment safe for all BUT i was suppose to be at work in 30 minutes and i live 40 minutes away. Dr. Smith, Jason and Chrystal went above and beyond the call of duty to help me with an injured feral cat I had trapped. They treated this little guy like he was my most beloved pet, with obvious concern about his pain level and infection risk. Clearly all animals are treated with care and respect, as well as the people who bring the animals in - also really appreciated. Dr. Smith carefully explained all options and considerations, and later brought me into the OR so I could see this kitty while he was sedated to better understand his wound and treatment. I live in Dunwoody so it's about a 20 minute drive without traffic to get to CAC but it's worth it! I have a dog who had some serious itchy problems and we at first thought it was an allergy bite and we got the treatment we needed and then it came back as FULL ON FLEAS! I was able to get in the next day first thing they had me all set and ready. Lisa the receptionist gave me all the items ahead of time before I came in so that I wasn't surprised with what I was going to be charged with. I worked with Jason I think and he was the most helpful. I am pretty tight on money and I told them I want to take care of my dog because he is so uncomfortable but I needed the cheap route. They will able to work with me on some of the PetMeds costs and lower there's. It saved me overall $40 bucks which I was happy with. Not only that but I got a personal phone call with Crystal regarding any questions and remedies I would need to keep my house flea free and also my dog from itching uncontrollably if the itching continues even after the fleas are gone.

Dr. Smith and his staff have been outstanding on all levels. This past visit is what finally drove by lazy self to put up this review. My dogs got into our kids easter candy, which we discovered when we got home at 5:30. I called Chatt, expecting them to give me the name of the ER clinic. Instead they said come on in, we will take care of Ben. They checked him out, stayed late to give him treatments that would help him not get sick from the chocolate and sent us on our way. There was no sense of we are closing or hurry from anyone there. They definitely put the pet first! Thanks again doc!

I was happy to find this place. My baby was injured pretty good and they were so very thoughtful and careful and took such great care of my baby Pepper. We made several visits during her recovery and with each visit they remembered Pepper by her name and she was taken care of immediately. My little dog Muñi presents a picture of 2 days not abnormal. Which I realized that something was happening and I took her to this medical center. Arrive at 10 am. I told him that my dog had 2 weak days and did not eat In which they told me it would take a moment. And they looked after my pet. They receive it. They give me a budget. I tell you, there's no problem. Attend it. Then he spends 1 more hour and they tell me that he has to do some blood tests. I tell them that there is no problem that they can help me. Then they tell me an x-ray. Blood tests. Etc. Then they tell me that the account is no longer the same. I tell them to tell me that they have the dog. They inform me that the blood tests went well. But since it was 1 in the afternoon on Saturday. They could not do anything anymore and they went to another medical center. Bone I see myself in the obligation to receive my pet and take it to where they referred. What is the surprise. That when I arrive there at 1 hour, they tell me that my dog has terminal cancer. God. What hurts me is that they play with family feelings. And they prefer to get as much as they can in money. I say that with this to the first medical center. Dr. Smith has been taking care of my pets since I was a little girl. Even though my husband and I live in Cumming now, we still make the drive to Roswell for our pets care. Their expertise in surgery is outstanding and they always make time for us when we have emergency situations. Thank you CAC for all you do!

We are new pet owners and have felt that they have always been willing to answer our questions and accommodate our needs. It is always very convenient to schedule vet and boarding appointments. Any time our puppy has a procedure or is not feeling well, the staff is always quick to respond to her needs and follow up to make sure she is recovering well. We are very happy with their practice.

What an amazing place! We have sampled just about all their services at this point. I called them about a week ago as I noticed a discharge coming out of my puppy's eye. They were able to fit me in with an hour. I took her over and they did such an awesome job. The vet, Dr. Smith, spent a great deal of time explaining everything, including some of the routine vaccines she needed and why. After that the tech came back in and she was just as diligent explaining what I needed to do. While I was there, I noticed they also groomed and boarded. As we were having our floors redone the next week, I made reservations to bring her back. I was a little worried when I went to pick my puppy up that she would be a nervous wreck. She was so happy! She didn't want to leave, but once she did, she was in a great mood. This makes me think that they treated her exceptionally well, because my Bouvie is a bundle of nerves. She had the looks to match her great mood. This was her first grooming and they were very candid about how much they might be able to do based on what she would put up with. I cannot imagine anyone doing a better job! I don't often write novels for my reviews, but this place is so worth it.

We were "orphaned" without a vet when our young dog became very ill overnight. We freaked thinking it might be rabies (because of the way he was acting and the symptoms) and called Chattahoochee Nature Center because Fulton animal control never answers their phone. They calmed me down and suggested CAC. Long story short, Chester did not have rabies and they treated him well and since we were due to go on vacation in 3 days, we decided to board him with them and canceled the dog sitter. They were amazing, even letting my sister visit Chester so his stress of not knowing anybody and being sick could be relieved. I have since referred CAC to 2 friends that now use them too. I think one of the things that I find so wonderful about them is that they like animals AND people equally. Also, they work with my budget limitations WITHOUT making me feel bad.

I found Chattachoochee through the rescue association where I adopted my puppy, Lady - they have been great, and I've decided to make them my full time vet. The first time we arrived was morning of her spaying surgery and they were extremely welcoming and sweet to the nervous pup. I got update calls on how she did and when I could pick her up, as well as a couple things they still needed to do - not trying to ell services but genuinely discussing what and why, and making it my decision. She ended up having a UTI and they got her antibiotics. When I picked her up, Dr. Smith took a great deal of time to talk to me a bout instructions as well as additional questions, also giving me flea and tick meds I needed and going over options with me. The staff are very friendly to both people and animals - you can tell they love what they do.

I can heartily recommend CAC. Dr. Dawkins is fantastic! She worked with me for 7 months to bring my two American Eskimo dogs back to good health after they went through two bouts of Giardia and irritable bowel disease. She requested that I email her with updates on a daily/weekly basis and was very concerned about my dogs' well-being. She actually read my emails and responded to me! Everyone on staff at CAC is friendly, professional, and caring. This practice is so different from my previous vet. I wish I had found them 8 years ago when I acquired my first American Eskimo dog.

Then we rescued a second dog in 2017 and she's been coming here since her first puppy visit. It's hard to find a vet you can trust. I found some lumps on my rottweiler, and did some research of vets in the Roswell area. Dr. Smith's team had a lot of great reviews, so I chose him when I decided to take Sally in for an exam. Unfortunately, there was nothing that could be done for her. However, I was extremely pleased with Dr. Smith and his staff. He didn't try to rush me into procedures for his office to make a profit. He genuinely wanted to do what was best for Sally. Many vets seem to be down to business only, but he was extremely compassionate with my dog's best interests. and the techs as well.
