Had an appointment to have teeth extracted from my daschhund, after paying $241 for blood work, urine, and exam initionally, but canceled a day before because I called office and explained that my wife and I could pay half on day of surgery, (Wednesday) and would pay remainder o n Friday. Payday for us both. "We can't do that" no payment plans, I didn't want a payment plan. Would pay remainder on Friday. So much for compassion, bottom line, no money, no service. Disappointed.

I have been bringing my dogs to Florida Vet League for 14 years. They have always been awesome. Dr. Wilson happens to be my dog's "doctor of choice". She is a wonderful, caring, lady who takes the time to talk to you and communicate with your furry family members. I always leave feeling confidence in the fact that my pets are getting the best care I can provide.

I love how friendly the staff and doctors can be, but hate that i come in for an appointment and they don’t see us until a hour later. my dog gets anxious having to wait. I’m writing this review in the lobby that i have been waiting an hour in with my now whining anxious dog. My appointment was @5:00 pm and it is now 6:00pm.

We took our two kittens in yesterday they did an amazing job explaining everything to us. They did everything they could to make them comfortable as they had never been to a vet before. They was a minor technical issue I spoke with office manager about. It was fixed quickly and politely in under 24 hours.

My only complaint about FVL is the wait times. I just walked out after spending 45 minutes beyond my scheduled appointment time without being seen. This has happened to me on three different occasions. Be prepared to sit for a long time at FVL. Their scheduling is horrible!!! I'm going somewhere else from now on.

Never go to this place if you value your time - appointment times mean nothing to them and the reception staff is rude and uncaring. I will gladly pay more for a vet that cares more about its customers. One hour past appointment times is common and one lady while I was here asked for a refund for her prescription from the pet pharmacy because she was waiting 45 minutes for it

We have a household of rescue cats and dogs and my go to vet is always Florida Veterinary League. They are so affordable and never do unnecessary tests or procedures to jack up the price of your visit as I have found with other vets in the area. When I have had an emergency, which always seems to be on a Sunday, they are quick to get my call and meet me at the office. I know whenever I bring my pet in, no matter who the vet might be, my pet gets the best care possible and the best price!

I have been using Florida Veterinary League for 10 years. I have 4 dogs, one which has a severe phobia of storms, gun shots & fire works. Dr. Horne has gone above and beyond to help me him. I was at the point I was becoming fearful that I was going to have no other option, but to put him down. Due to destruction and the harm he was doing to himself. He has answered countless calls from me and done a great deal of research on what we could do. We are about 6 months into him being on medication and we he's has gone on a scale of 1-10 in the beginning a 10 down to about a 3. We still a lot of work to do with him, but it was Dr. Horne that literally saved my dogs life. The entire staff has always been courteous and prompt with there services. I will be eternally grateful for all their help and care for my 4 legged family members.

I am very grateful to the staff of the Florida veterinary league. My boy bandit had hurt his paw and a infection had set in. The front desk was very kind and got me in immediately with doctor even though i did not have a appointment. I had 2 awesome nurses one i believe his name was Matthew i hope i got that right anyway they took such good care of bandit even though my boy is not very happy with anybody. In fact i embarrassed to say my little guy caused a big ruckus and a mess but they assured me they were used to stuff like that. The doctor was outstanding he did a great job with bandit. I planned to take my boy back for everything and i would highly recommend that if you need care for your kids this the place to go.

Around a year ago my new puppy (at the time) had a severe case of hook worm. So bad that he almost died from anemia from the worms eating him up. We didn't know it at the time because he was a brand new addition to our family. But he started showing symptoms one night shaking and being extremely unresponsive. We waited till the morning to take him . That morning we took him in and they pretty much noticed he was dying and they said they would have to keep him over night to save him. I was so desperate I was ready to do anything for my baby boy. That night I cried the most I ever cried because I knew there was a high chance I wouldn't be getting my sweety back in my arms, it was like losing a child. The next morning I got a call and the doctor said he was stable and that I could take him home. It was honestly a miracle. I can't thank them enough. I can't live without him. I absolutely love this place !!!! Best veterinary EVERRRR

I would just like to compliment Dr. Finkelstein and her staff for helping me with my French Bulldog, Rhett. Rhett had a splenic-hematoma and was critical when I brought him in. Dr. stFinkelstein cleared her schedule to perform the surgery and saved my dog. I appreciated her straight forward approach with sensitive staff to back her up. She showed compassion without making the situation any more emotional than it had to be. I Am eternally grateful!

I have been taking my Himalayan there since I moved back to Florida 2 years ago. The staff and doctors have been so friendly and accommodating. I was referred to them by a friend of mine who emphasized their cost-effectiveness and candor. In turn, they now take care of my mom's Himalayan and a co-worker's animal. Definitely the best service and best prices in town for vet care! You won't be disappointed!

I will NEVER bring my pet back to this place. This is the second time we had to wait even though we had a scheduled appointment. Today when I arrived I was informed it would be at least an hour as they were running behind. I immediately requested my pet’s records. When I asked why they didn’t call to inform me of the wait, I was told they didn’t have time and they never know when an emergency arises. This was their response to me after the day before I received 2 messages from them wanting me to confirm my appointment!! There were at least 3 staff members sitting behind the desk and not one of them could have made calls or sent emails?!?! I understand the doctor’s time is important, but so is mine! We just moved to Vero about a year ago and this place was highly recommended to me. It is safe to say that I will not be doing the same should anyone ask me.

Ive been coming to Dr Horn since I was 10. I'm now 32 and still trust him wholeheartedly with the care of my animals. He saved 2 of my animals, and had to unfortunately put 3 to sleep due to old age. He has saved my living animals one with a feeding tube which I wouldn't trust any other doctor to do. That sweet cat is the light of my life and if not for Dr Horn, she wouldn't be alive and I'd be a mess. Thank you to all of the amazing veterinarian techinicians and your warm love and kindness throughout all of our visits. I would recommend this place to EVERYONE ❤️

I have a large dog that loves to run he blew out his knee about 3 months ago, I thought he'd never use that back leg again, Dr. Horn took on bennys surgery and did an amazing job and calls every mo. to see how Bennys doing. Great staff and service. Vets are very knowledgeable and obviously love what they do. My only gripe is the constant delay in appointment time - it is almost always 30-45 mintutes past your scheduled appointment time until you are seen. If this isn't fixed, going to have to start looking elsewhere unfortunately.

EXCEPTIONAL in every way. Every single staff member and Dr. has treated me, my wife, and my pets (as well as friends') with the utmost compassion and care. I have never had an issue or problem with VCA/FVL. My pets have been patients of Dr. Horn & colleagues for over 8 years, so I have had many positive experiences with the clinic. Whether it be routine vaccines, wellness check-ups, or emergencies (of which I have had a few), I have NEVER been let down by this team. They have awesome hours, and the Tuesday vaccine clinic will save you time and $. As of this writing, they also have an on-call Dr. or PA until 10:00 pm - amazing to me for a clinic with so many pets on record! They also assist with licensing, Home Again chips, etc. They can handle anything, and will do their utmost to keep you happy - and your pet happy and HEALTHY. I wouldn't think of going anywhere else. Neither should you :) BTW, the facility is beautifully decorated, comfortable, and spotlessly clean.

Great people, great care! Every visit is positive. I feel my dogs get excellent care from caring people. The staff is friendly and helpful. When I called because my dog was sick, they communicated concern and got us in right away as well as called the following day to see how she was doing. They make it easy to pick up/renew medications as well. Really happy we discovered FL Vet League - Highly recommend.

I have a special needs kittie who on a good day requires lots of maintenance. He has been under the care of two veterinarian dermatologists both of whom are hard to reach, so when my kittie relapses and becomes symptomatic, I turn to Dr. Horn, his established general veterinarian, for guidance. Dr. Horn, knowing kittie's maladies, many many times has been able to recommend treatment over the phone. I have offered to bring the cat in but he has always assured me that our phone consults are quite adequate (And he will not admit to it but I know he has my pocket book in mind!). Of course, when necessary, kittie pays Dr. Horn a visit :). This gentleman has also been available to consult with the veterinarian dermatologists on many occasions. We are now considering consulting with a specialist at UF's School of Veterinary Medicine. Mind you, this takes time, effort, and brings Dr. Horn no monetary income. The icing on this cake is that, when he feels it necessary, he makes follow-up calls to pet parents to check in on the welfare of their animals. I wish my own doctors did this! He is super invested in his patients' well-being :) Mrs. Stevens, the Hospital Manager, Ms. Kidd, the Hospital Asst.Manager, and Ms. Petry, the Client Services Supervisor, have individually and collectively gone to extraordinary lengths and made personal contact with me to ensure that my kittie's welfare and my concerns are of top priority. In so many ways they have gone above and beyond the scope of their jobs to take care of us both! It is clear that their number one interest is in providing remarkable service to their animal clients and pet parents. I am so grateful to have this outstanding team of professionals care for my special needs guy!

I first went to this vet nearly 15 years ago (when it was a just a tiny place on the other side of town) and have recommended them to others ever since. I live about 45 min away from this vet, but it is always worth the trip. The service is excellent and the cost is very reasonable (much lower than other vets). The doctors and staff are very kind and knowledgeable and they clearly explain all procedures, diagnoses, options, costs, and directions to you. I am always pleased with the service and they have always kept my pets safe and healthy.

My Lab.(Andrew) had a thyroid condition at the age of 4yrs. and weighed 131.3 lbs. Going to Dr.Sarah Kennedy @ Fl.Vet.League for just over a year now, she has given him a new life with a "50 plus pound reduction" and the personality/attitude of a 9 month old puppy. I live over 25 miles from her office and pass many "vets." driving there. As I tell everyone regarding Dr. Kennedy and her team's location, if she moved to Jacksonville, I would still drive "my boy" there for her proven, loving, care !

Good reason----I wanted to buy Hills i/d weight management dog food for my dog They would not sell it to me because they hadn't seen my dog since 2017. Well I guess there's a reason I left!!! Edit 12-14-18 My heard has been going to see Dr Horne at the VCA for 20 years now and it is amazing how truly wonderful the facility the staff and the Dr's are. The staff always have a smile on their faces, they have wonderful personalities andathey take the time to explain everything to you in a caring and friendly way. They make you feel like family. The facilities are top notch. They can handle any emergency in a moments notice. After 20 years you figure it can't get any better but every year you walk out and think this place is beyond fantastic. How do they keep getting better year after year? Amazing as always. Original post I have been taking all the critters to them for over 18 years. Never once have they been anything but outstanding professional knowlagable curtious caring compassionate. During all the good and even the bad times they always go above and beyond. Every member of the staff is truly incredible. The critters love them also. You can see just how dedicated and passionate the whole staff is. Yes we do have to wait sometimes past our appointment but personally I would rather wait for excellence then be on time for mediocricy..Emergencys happen... Sitting with a family discussing options happens.. Spending time with you answering questions happens....I will always be glad to wait for the excellent experience they provide for me and my critters. Update 1-19-18 Was there again today 1-19-18 for the all the critters annual checkup. As always they where absolutely amazing. Dr Horn and every staff members are second to none. The ABSOLUTE BEST care for my dog that I could have asked for from the moment that I walked in! The greeting was friendly and then came Evan. Evan was the most compassionate person that you could ask for. He took the time to understand why we were there and then conveyed everything perfectly to Dr. George. Dr. George was very thorough in his exam and actually took time to explain our dog's symptoms and gave us hope for our dogs prognosis. I have never been more at ease and felt as much care as these kind folks displayed upon our visit. If you are in search of compassionate care and answers, GO SEE THEM!

BEST VETS for me in Vero Beach!!! From the moment I walked in and was greeted by front desk, I need I found the right veterinarian services for me and my dogs. Full service and exceptional care is VCA Florida. The staff and Vet Technician were exceptional. The Veterinarian explained everything and took the time to explain the costs of the services I might need or want. What a difference after two other Vets (especially Divine Animal Hospital) did unnecessary services without reason and charged a lot!!! I will be back to VCA to care for my older show Champion as well as my Imported girl and their progeny. Thankful that a bad day (10-13), a Friday, was lucky for me. I first went here when it was located in a much smaller office. Dr. Horn was my dog’s vet. I was brand new to the area and my dog had her checkup a few times. One night she was having a very real emergency, and I called in to get help. Dr. Horn was at the office before I was, and took her right in and helped her. This is the place to take your animals for a professional staff who puts the animals and their families above their own needs. It’s truly remarkable.

Adopted my 7 year old Schnauzer (Buster) just over 2 weeks ago. Took him in for a checkup and blood work the first week and had a very pleasant experience. I had a BBQ this past weekend and Buster got his hands on a hot dog. His stomach was not happy and this new dog mom was super scared for him. Took Buster to VCA first thing Monday morning and they saw him right away. Dr. Horn and Amber were very compassionate and they took good care of him. Buster is doing much better 24 hours after seeing VCA and Dr. Horn even gave us a follow-up call to check in. I would highly recommend VCA to all pet owners!

The doctors seem great but the office help and vet techs are not very friendly or compassionate what so ever!!! When your animal is in distress or very sick please show some compassion to the customers!!!! Do not roll your eyes at us when we may mention we do not have the money or have already spent a ton of money and our animal is still sick!! Very unprofessional. I think the reason this vets office has such low ratings and is a place that no one in Vero wants to go to is due to this.

We have been taking our poodles to the Florida Veterinary League for years. Our 1st two dogs lived to be 18 years old (pretty old) and we attribute much of their health to the Veterinarians who watched out for their health. Our newest kids (poodles) also are being watched very carefully by this organization. They were both rescue dogs and one of them had heartworm at the time of rescue. Everyone at the League are caring and knowledgeable and I feel their pricing is very fair.

Pia Pia (a pug and service dog) has been going to Florida Veterinary League for a few years now. She has had two knee surgeries, yearly vacinations, have been bought in for emergencies, and even a bladder stone removed. It doesn't not matter the time of day or day of week, the staff is always so friendly. From the moment you walk in you know your pet comes first. Dr. Horne, the other veterinarians and staff go above and beyond. No reason to look any further for a caring, compassionate, and professional veterinarian - Florida Veterinarian League is it.
