The doctors were very thorough and knowledgeable when I brought my dachshund in for limping. I feel he received the best care possible and they even called the next day to check up on him.

We lost our beloved friend Texano to a terrible condition that caused him a lot of pain. We thank St. Charles for providing him with the best pain management, and for looking after his well being while taking into consideration our thoughts and emotions. Thank you for walking with us during that awful stage in our lives.

This is an excellent facility. The first thing we noticed was the cleanliness, followed quickly by the very knowledgeable staff. Each and every one. We know our animals are in good hands.

St Charles is great! I had an emergency with my cat and they got her in quickly. They were very open about how much things cost, what they were doing with her, and educated me as well. Unfortunately they couldn’t save my lady Maggie, but they made me feel comfortable with my choice to let her go. I do highly recommend them. Everyone is so nice and really care about the well being of all animals.

I found this veterinary hospital just by accident. As a transplant from California, I didn’t have an established vet for an emergency. From the first moment I entered with my cat, I was treated like a friend. The girls behind the desk were efficient and friendly. I met with Dr Marvin and Daylin, vet tech. They were gentle and calming. I was so happy with that encounter, I returned with my older cat. Dr Marvin and Daylin explained fully his problem and outlined the cost of treatment!! They were gentle with him as they had with my other cat. Dr Marvin stayed in touch with blood results and further treatment. They are just wonderful!! I’m going to continue with them for a long time!!

Cindy Howle

Professional, knowledgeable, courteous vet. The facility is clean and appears to be well equipped and up to date. Highly recommend this practice to anyone new in the area.

I have a King Charles spaniel with a lot of skin problems. Dr. Duffy and the entire team at St. Charles took all the appropriate steps and were able to narrow down the cause of his skin issues. This is the first time any vet has taken this much time and concern to address his problems and it has made a world of difference. Will not have to ever look for another doctor again!!

This office maybe a nice tight run office but it is insanely over priced. They want over $50 just to come in for a visit. Then for simple 1 year rabies is $23. This is the highest price in the area. I dont care how nice the staff can be, if you charge high prices you will never see me in there. For less than the price of an appointment visit, I can get that and the shot at Atlantic Vet. I will be going there instead.

My dog was ill and we ended up in their ER and my pup was treated by Dr. Parrot. While she may be a good veterinarian, at the time I realized that she’s not a “people” person. Nonetheless, my dog was okay and I was grateful. We took our yorkie to see her as well and because we were hesitant to allow her to do $800 worth of test and asked her what we could do AT THIS MOMENT, she threatened to file a complaint on us for animal abuse. We explained that we wntd to take him to another vet we thought was a bit more practical for our budget and she continued with the threats. However, we realized that it was not a threat because we received a notice from Animal Control from an “anonymous” tip (Cuz she thinks we’re stupid enough to think it wasn’t her *rolls eyes*) If Dr. Parrot had followed up she would’ve known that before the sun went down on the day she saw our yorkie, another appointment had been set for him to see a vet... Now we are on watch by animal control. I can’t stop people from bringing their pets to her but I know me and mine will NEVER set foot in that place again. And after reading the reviews, she seems to be nice to those individuals who’s skin color matches hers. While we do not want to see anyone fail at what they do, we will be boisterous in voicing our experience with Dr. Parrot on every platform we have available.

My dog died today from a snake bite, called ahead to have anti venom ready arrived 30minutes after bitten. Immediately made to pay $500. Received a quote for treatment which we disputed whilst still no treatment for my baby. Finally received a quote an hour later then asked if anti venom had been given in that time to be told “just doing it now” dispute invoices your pet dies. She could of had a chance but didn’t get one here. Then to finish off an already upsetting time to hear the vet discussing the case with another client in the next room in a derogatory manner was absolutely appalling Money is all they care about, learnt the hard way losing my baby in those hands! Heartbroken! Response admitting basically saying that discussing payment options delayed treatment even though I had already paid $500 on entering the premises and no we did not go to 2 other practices, as you were told yesterday that wasn’t the case I did not refuse any treatment only treatment that was unnecessary but insisted on the anti-venom immediately as it was critical Any comment regarding the gossip?? Er no! Very unprofessional behavior Reporting the practice for unethical behaviors in an emergency when other practices attend to the animal then sort “paperwork$$” Again!!! What treatment did I refuse???? Nothing that was life saving! I wanted her saved would Of done everything necessary to save her you wanted to keep her for 3 days who knows how long you needed her? That’s what was disputed how did you know what was needed you wanted a huge amount upfront it doesn’t take an hour to administer anti venom Let’s see what a lawyer has to say you neglected my baby when she needed help you were interested in money you are disgraceful!

My 14 yr old Kitty Evey was just too sick to continue. Dr Roberts and Fabiola were amazing. I couldn’t have even imagined how marvelous they are. So compassionate and sweet. Just amazing. Thank you for everything you did for us. I appreciate everything. They helped her cross the rainbow bridge and now she’s happy.

If you are looking for a great animal hospital St Charles Animal Hospital is definitely the place to take your family pets to as they have a great group of Doctors and technicians with knowledge and a wonderful staff to accommodate all your pets needs. They are all friendly and compassionate for your pets needs and you can tell they truly care about your pets health. Check them out, you won’t regret it.

They don't even know what they are doing with the animals and don't even know how to treat people. Don't recommend it at all don't be fooled

Lenore Haney

The doctors and staff saved the life of my "Sweetie" who was in critical condition from a bacterial infection. I will be forever grateful. She was taken home with a lovely assistant over night so she would be taken care of. These good people went above and beyond any vet care that I have EVER received. THANK YOU ALL !!!!!

Reverend HJ

took 2 of my older dogs to her at seperate times. Vet misdiagnosed one. Tried to euthanize both of my dogs. Very unprofessional treatment. The Dr Kavorkian of dogs.

Marge L

They took in an injured stork I rescued. God bless!

James Ream

The young lady that took care of our dog in her last hour was GREAT, if the rating was just about the doctor it would be a five. But to require a 99.00 office call plus a 500.00 deposit up front, tells you what's important to the owner of this emergency vet clinic

James Saltzberry

Incredibly knowledgeable and welcoming staff members. The 24-hour emergency care services are also incredibly convenient. I am appalled by some of these negative reviews. People need to realize that they are paying for a service. If you're going to own a pet, just like with children, you will have to have money to care for them.

I have been to Dr Parrot many times with my senior dogs and new puppies. She and her staff have always been AMAZING! In emergencies her personal cell helped me with my Akita Maliki. He ended up not making it, however, her staff felt that horrible pain with me. Now we celebrate our new babies and they have ALWAYS been there for any questions or concerns!! I recommend the hospital to all my clients! Mesha

This place is horrible! They make you pay before you even get your furry family member looked at. The only thing they care about is money, not the well-being of your pet. Do yourself a favor & go somewhere else.

Richard

A+ Medical care and customer service. Doctors and technicians go ABOVE and BEYOND working with me. Thank you Dr. Nenezian and Dr. Parrott for keeping my family healthy.

Kara K

As a veterinarian myself, I will only trust the best doctors to take care of my pets. It’s too hard to be objective when it comes to my girls’ health, so I need a team I can trust. Dr Parrot and Dr N helped save Spike’s life, and I cannot thank them enough. ❤️

Linda Hansen

Absolutely outstanding veterinary hospital! All doctors and staff are professional, knowledgeable, and caring; the physical plant is unmatched in central Florida. We are fortunate to have this veterinary hospital in our area. We would never go anywhere else.

Our Yorkie Paris was very sick and admitted twice. All though our baby didn't make it Dr.May and the staff did all they could to save her. They were compassionate to both our baby and us as we were so upset about her condition and never gave up their hard task to save her. If and when we have a pet again we will definitely go back and refer there hospital to anyone who is in need. Thanks Dr May dont ever stop caring. Sincerely Jackie,Sam &baby Paris

Our loved Abyssinian Cat got ahold of lilies and was caught chewing on the petals. We suspect he may have also ingested toxic pollen as well. We called St Charles Veterinary Hospital and were informed of the life threatening danger right away. Our cat was immediately admitted to the emergency room and hospitalized for 3 days to ensure full recovery. We have done thorough research and now understand that great staff and wonderful doctors of the clinic most likely saved our kitten’s life. Hospital Staff was very proactive, informative and allowed us to visit our cat on the daily bases. Every time we would call the clinic they would provide detailed feedback on the cats current condition. Doctors and nurses were performing hourly check ups and we would get daily calls from the doctor on duty as well. Because of the hospital care our baby cat is home now - happy and healthy. We highly recommend St Charles Veterinary Hospital for any emergency or if looking for professional routine care for your pet. They are knowledgeable, professional, friendly and they care for each little life they save!

This is the best vet I have found in a very long time. Caring dedicated staff that go out of there way to save every animal they can, but also have the needed compassion when you have to say goodbye. I wi bri g all my pets to St Charles for years to come.

Ramona Diaz

They took care of my little dog quickly and with much care. Thank you to everyone.

Jessica Uliano

The entire staff are angels. The doctors are miracle workers. They saved several of my pets without doing extra tests that weren’t needed just to make money. All of them have hearts of gold. I highly recommend them!!

This vet office is the worst. Only reason why I went there was because of convenient location. First, they literally take your debit card straight out hand before they do any kind of exam or shots on your pets. Overcharges and pricey I might add. Second, I don't appreciate a very young vet tech schooling me on how to take care of my dogs especially when I've been a dog owner much longer than this vet tech been alive. Thirdly, although I don't doubt drs diagnosis or education but professionalism goes a long way when talking to owners. No compassion whatsoever and its rubbing on her staff as well. Anyway, I went back to my old vet hospital in Orlando. As I was checking out I told them about this place. Just happened another patient behind me switch over from St. Charles too. After talking to her, she clearly had bad experiences hence why she didn't go back to this place as well. Glad I'm not alone.

We had never been here before and they got us in within a couple of hours. we needed an emergency appointment and I was amazed how accommodating they were. We have been back a couple of times and have had an outstanding experience every time! We will be taking all of our 4 legged love ones to St Charles from now on! Thank you to the staff for taking such good care of our babies!

I visited this clinic about a week ago, I took my umbrella cockatoo due to an emergency. The staff collected as much information as they could about my bird, and they were attentive towards my concerns. We were seeing by Dr. Nenezian, she was really nice and caring as well, she informed me more about the type of bird I have. Even though they do ask for the first payment for the visit before they even take the pet in, they seemed to really care about my pet’s health. My bird had to stay for a few nights to monitor her. I was getting calls with updates every morning and when I would call during the middle of the day to check and get more updates, they did not seem to mind. I was a little concerned at first when I was on my way to take my bird to be seen since I noticed there was some bad reviews, but overall my visit went great even while being concerned about my bird’s health. Keep in mind the emergency visits are not cheap and you pay for the service you receive just like any other person going to an ER. I highly recommend this animal hospital to anyone!

Had to go back and redo my review. USER BEWARE!!!!I had heard from others in Del Webb that. these folks drip the last dime out of you but didn't want to believe it. Taking advantage of you love for your pet and feeling helpless. Levi was lipping when he came in. They even wanted to do a cancer test. We found out from a more reputable source it was a socket problem in small dogs. But what has got me FURIOUS today is after all those blood tests we cannot get a prescription refill for Flea, Tick and Heartworm. You should be ASHAMED!!!!. Taking money the way you do from seniors. I am a reputable Google guide and have been for years. I've never written such a review but you deserve worse than one star. Before I wrote this I called to confirm there wasn't a statue that directly forced you to be seen again for these meds. There is NOT!!! It's the vets discretion. My blood pressure is through the roof. Thank you St Charles for helping me to decide that being close doesn't Trump integrity, sensibility and cost.

People please beware of St Charles Veterinary Hospital 2360 North Blvd West Davenport Fl 33837 they are not concerned with your pets only your pocketbooks they have taken over 3,000 dollars from us in 3 days and were calling us for more money when they told us surgery meds and the 2 day stay was included in the 3,000 we had given them already we had to pick our fur baby up a day after surgery and they wouldn't even give us the antibiotics we need for KiaI. Dr. Parrot is very kind and thorough. She has a heart of gold. She treated my dog with gentle hands and genuinely cared for his well being. I will definitely return.

My dog was having issues standing up she is almost 15 years old, she is at the end of her life and I know that . The receptionist were good as well as the vet tech. I found the Doctor Parrot had absolutely zero compassion or sympathy whatsoever, After asking me to run $1000 worth of tests I agreed to 500 worth. After the tests she recommended I go somewhere low cost to get the other tests done. She did not tell me directly to put my dog down she beat around the bush. I felt like I was being belittled by her because I couldn't afford all the tests she wanted. The last thing I will ever do is have a woman like that put my dog down. I understand emergency circumstances happen and there is little choice of where to take your pet, but if possible I would go somewhere else. All she had to do was show compassion to me and I would have given a much better review.

Ann D

Very incompassionate doc. I took my guinea pig and the doc was not very gentle with her. After what was supposed to be just an xray and blood work, they also pulled my baby's tooth without asking or consulting with me first. They were also bringing estimates one after another and seemed more concerned about money. They also never sent the results to the regular vet. Even though I wrote the vet info on the application, they still claimed they didn't have it to send the results to the vet. I had to call them the next day to send it. I will not go there again.

Stephanie Gonzalez

This location is a little far for me, but it is worth it. The veterinarian and techs took care of my dog when we had an emergency. My dog is shy and the next day when I went to bring her home, she was very happy. Her veterinarian was sweet and loving. I completely trust this hospital with my baby girl and the staff is friendly. I am so grateful for them saving my baby!

Today My husband, granddaughter and I brought our 6 year old female ferret Baby to St. Charles Veterinarian Hospital. Reason for our visit was my Husband's concern for our furry friend's apparent weight loss. Wendy our Technician was very good at collecting information on Baby from us and our ferret. The doctor upon seeing Baby gave us a detailed list of options to get to the bottom of our pet's problem including prices. Allowing us to comfortably make decisions based on knowledge and affordability. We left there feeling we did the best we could do for today. We are also armed with the knowledge they gave us if future visits are required. Thank YOU!

We fly with our collie cross internationally very regularly and we found all the vets in our local area to be quite ignorant of the tapeworm medication and documents required in order to fly with an airline . This practice was recommended by the lady in the local pet store in the complex nearby...and hallelujah for her !! Based upon her knowledge she directed us to a veterinary practice that actually knows what it's doing !! Thanks for reassuring us on our visits and being kind/gentle to our retired USAF dog. (We had to score four stars because on our last visit Dr Parrot put the wrong date on Dale's tapeworm stamp in his passport and we only noticed the day before we flew out but on a positive when we called the receptionist saw us immediately without an appointment and resolved the error promptly)

People please beware of this place they are not concerned with your pets only your pocketbooks they have taken over 3,000 dollars from my daughter in 3 days and were calling her for more money when they told her surgery meds and the 2 day stay was included in the 3,000 she has given them already she had to pick her fur baby up a day after surgery and they wouldn't even give her the antibiotics she need for Kia

We were regulars (with 2 dogs) and had to visit on a weekend for an emergency. The price was $500 and our pet was misdiagnosed, but no reimbursement even though Dr. Parrott admitted that particular Dr wasn't kept on, We recently had a quote from St. Charles for oral cleaning for $1350 for each dog!!!! Paws and Claws charged us under $300 for each cleaning. Once during a toe nail clipping, my now handicapped dog, pooped and upon checking out I had to pay almost $4 for them to dispose of it. It is a nice facility but their prices are outrageous to say the least.

Trevor Taylor

I remember the days when Vets were all about the love of animals.. Nowadays.. they are all about the love of money!

Meagan Guy

Dr.Parrott saved the day when my poor kitty, Oliver, got into something and had a bad allergic reaction. She worked us into her schedule and got him the medicine he needed quickly. When it's needed again, I will definitely be placing both my fur babies back into Dr.Parrott's and the rest of St. Charles' capable hands.

Even tho today was one of the most horribles days of my life, st charles hospital was there for us, they treated my dog the best they could, explained all of our options, the Dr was incredible informative of everything that was going on, very compassionate people. The clinic itself was very organized and clean as well.

I can’t say enough good things about the wonderful, caring and compassionate people at this clinic! I brought my dog Reggie to the emergency vet on the evening of February 12 thinking it was a good possibility I would be returning home without my dog. Upon arrival two very sweet vet techs, Nicole (I remember her name as it’s the same as mine) and another Wonderful Woman helped us into a room. They had such warm and comforting personalities and that helped soften the experience. After their initial assessment I was presented with the vets recommendations and cost. Nicole did a great job of explaining to me what each thing on the list tested for, prices clearly marked and left it up to me on how I wanted to proceed/ where I wanted to start. Dr. Parrott entered the room quickly after that and by looking at him she knew right away what was likely wrong and was proven to be correct after the X-ray results came back. Dr. Parrott then took the time to show me the X-ray and explain exactly what was going on. We were sent home with a few prescriptions and told it was likely that 48-72 hours would have to pass before any real improvement would be noted . Well 2 days passed and very minimal improvement was noted and I was slowly loosing hope . However, on Day 3 it was like a miracle happened overnight, Reggie went from being completely unable to stand or walk( it was as if he was paralyzed) to standing and taking a few steps! As I write this review we are on day 4 and I’m watching him in amazement walk across my kitchen to his water bowl !! Thank you from the bottom of my heart to Dr. Parrott and everyone that helped us that night!! God bless you angels !

S Lynn

We want to start with thank you so much Nicole for helping us with our baby last night helping us at a time like that God bless you and please please don’t never lose that drive compassion that you have I highly recommend When my wife pulled up with our party they come out to help her carry him in soon as they took him back they took all the pain away because he was suffering and the doctor was so wonderful unfortunately we lost our baby again thank you for upmost compassion that you have please keep up the excellent work for our beautiful little God’s creatures..

Marcus Gentile

Dr Parrott and her team have been taking care of our pets for years now. We still drive the distance for visits even though we've moved further away.

deanna morris

The Drs. and staff are very compassionate. I am thankful for the care they give to our pets. For the ones that think they are pricey, i will disagree. They give you estimates up front. It is expensive to run ANY business, especially a cutting edge, up to date vet hospital. I have taken all of my pets to Dr. Parrot for years. I appreciate all that they do for us.

Steve Smith

I left my dog outside this Vets to pick up an order next store at Golden Dragon. When I came out from the restaurant, a woman dressed in scrubs asking me if this was my dog. She told me she was about to call animal control on my friendly little Toy Poodle. I was only in Golden Dragon for less than 2 minutes but this Vet felt it was her duty to call animal control on the cutest dog you will ever meet. In fact a woman that was walking by stopped to pet him as I was coming out. It was a hot day so I did not want to leave a dog in the car. Honestly, many stores are now pet friendly, like the Lowe's we just came from. If this is how St. Charles Veterinary treats their animal, I would certainly not patronize their hospital. You would think an animal hospital would have a little more compassion for animals.

Emily Rivera

This is the worst vet hospital that i been to. Overprice for no reason. Bad service, treated me like trash the vet called me cruel, and selfish for not having the money for my dog. First thing they did when i walk in was sending me outside with my dog without knowing what she had.. Im hispanic who knows if cause of that reason they treat me like that. The vet give me 2 option the first one was to pay $1,000+ with no guarented of my dogs life and the 2nd one to put her sleep, oh and last that if i took her home she would called animal control at me. If i dont have the money how im supposed to pay that... i decided to take my dog to another vet that i know that vet is really good the only bad thing is that she was closed at the time i needed to go. I only stayed cause of my dog i wanted to leave right away when the lady sent me outside...

Jc Vindigni

I love these people. They treat my dog like she's their own. My pup gets excited every time we pull into the lot because she knows all of her friends will be there to say hi. All the staff are incredibly friendly and the care is top notch. My dog has incredibly bad skin allergies and every time I have a problem they quickly and efficiently help her get better. They genuinely care about their customers, their customer's pets, and give better service than any other vet I've ever been to. They let you know up front what the treatments will cost, so there is never a surprise bill at the end. I could not recommend them any more highly. If you care about your pet, and want the best treatment around, you really need to give them a try.

Gary Bradman

We have been going there for years. The new building is awesome just like the staff and vets.

I had an injured little pig that had been hit by a car. I brought her in and the hospital said I HAD to surrender her as a wildlife or she wouldn't be cared for. I'll never come back to this hospital. I wanted to care for this animal myself and they forced me to give her up while she was dying...

Alex Gorgen

Great facility and very clean. Dr N was very knowledgeable and understanding of my pets needs. Nicole was so awesome as well and helped us through the whole process.

My cat was seen for excessive drooling last night. I paid 99 dollars for an exam. They then told me my cat needed a Feline panleukopenia test, even though I indicated my cat received this preventative shot at his regular vet. That was 60 dollars. They never looked in his mouth to see if he had infection, instead required all kinds of tests such as x-ray, fecal, etc. I ended up paying 500 dollars for them to finally examine my cat and tell me he had a sore in his mouth. Truly terrible. That should have been the first thing they did, when they conducted the exam. A complete rip off! I will complain to BBB.

reimir jimenez

I started taking my yorkie to St Charles because my vet in Celebration closed. The front staff made us feel welcomed as soon as we walked in the door. Dr Allison and staff are very friendly and smart. The prices are reasonable for good quality care. I am so glad that I found a great place that I trust with my animals!

Jvonn Perez

its surprising how this place only cares about money and not about your baby pet. I should of give a look at the reviews first before letting my uncle take his pet here.

Steven Reynolds

08/22/19 I've been going here for numerous years. Today had an annual check-up for Kenai and Koda today. I truly love the staff at St. Charles Veterinary Hospital. They are so caring and genuine. Dr. Parrott is our Vet and she is truly compassionate and loving. She always remembers me and or course my 4 babies. You can tell that she is in this business for the love of the animals. She treats each of the fur babies as if they were hers. Dr. Parrott has been there when I had to say goodbye to some of my fur babies as they passed over the Rainbow bridge. You can imagine that I was a wreck, well she was even upset. How many vets can you say that are emotional about their patients? I wouldn't trust anyone else with my fur babies, except for the staff at St. Charles Veterinary Hospital. They are family!

Marimar Rodriguez

We had to take the most difficult decision and put our baby to sleep after 14 yrs because of medical problems and let me tell you Dr. Parrot and her staff took care of us and our baby like we were family. They walked us through the process with much respect, understanding our suffering and respecting our time with him. We were able to be with him until the end with the kids in the room. The staff is AMAZING and so nurturing. Definetly recommend them.

I had an emergency Christmas day. One of my sugar gliders, a neutered male, Ahanu had injured his tail a couple of days prior, but that morning he nearly chewed it off. I called and was told to come right in. They examined him, weighed him, and prepped for a tail amputation. They were extremely caring, knowledgeable and efficient. Dr. Jamie Nenezian and her assistant quickly performed his amputation, gave me detailed instructions and medications. On his follow up 10 days later, I saw Dr. Parrott. She too was extremely knowledgeable, and professional. I have 7 sugar gliders total and a Sun Conure. I will be using this veterinary practice for all of them.

BEWARE! After 2 years using this office, my vet left recently, and my first visit since was less than perfect. They sent a feedback survey and I gave polite responses of constructive criticism – (happy to share with any interested party!). St. Charle’s noted I seemed unhappy, noted our communication seemed broken and asked me to NEVER RETURN with my sweet cat – even in an emergency!!! She has never in her life bit or scratched or misbehaved, and is now punished because I gave solicited feedback? Incredibly unprofessional!!! In summary - Solicited feedback they requested was rudely unaccepted. Poor communication. Not knowledgeable about contents of products they prescribe (Lysine is not a vitamin). Inadequate technical skills including blood draws. DO NOT BRING YOUR LOVED ONES HERE. If you are already going here – please reconsider – there are tons of respectful, caring and knowledgeable practices around the Orlando area!

Nurse Celia and the Doctor helped my chinchilla when he was in his final stages of life. They offered to perform surgery and hospitalize him. Although he passed, I am grateful for those final moments and that Lebron, my chinchilla, was taken care of.

Jay Smith

Worst vet hospital ever, overpriced. They make you pay $99 before they even check your pet. So if your pet is dying don't bring him here cause they would ask you to pay before they help your pet. Do your self a favor and don't take your pets here.

They where really rude trying to kill my dog cause I couldn’t afford the treatment .

Such an awesome practice! They really care about the animals.

My 8yr old female Beagle Bo had to be put down due to a snake bite that wasnt treated quick enough. I had her at the hospital 30 minutes after the bite and have evidence to prove it. I called ahead 15 minutes before arriving telling them my dog was an emergancy with a bite but i hadnt had chance to inspect her i guessed a paw because she kept holding it up. I get to the hospital and was told to sit down with her while they sorted "paperwork". I told them again she was an emergancy and her breathing was slowing down... so they took me into an exam room to where i pointed out the large lump on her neck. My mother arrived and was made to pay $500 before they would treat her futher. After they saw the snake bite there was no rush to help my dog all they were interested in the very large amount of money to be paid first. It clearly states on their own website that they will get your animal stable before presenting you with options and costs. They made her suffer and by the time they eventually gave her antivenom (which wouldve been approx 90 mins after being bitten) she was already bleeding out. We had no choice but to put her down. I was then told she was very unlikely to have survived the bite anyway with its location, how small a dog she was and the venom injected. Thats the worst experience ive had with a vet you should NEVER make an animal suffer. I understand 30 minutes may not have been quick enough to help bo and she may have been too late when we arrived but the fact they did not treat her as an emergancy was appauling.

Do not take your animals here. The only thing they care about is money. In addition to Emily Rivera’s review, you also said the dog would not make it past Monday and had animal control sent to her home where they harrassed her for over an hour. Your staff obviously did not do a great job in checking her dog out thoroughly. Maybe you guys were in a rush to get home that night, but that’s no excuse for being greedy and inhumane. You gave her and ultimatum after seeing how devastes she was about knowing her dog was so sick and could not pay $1000 with no guarantee of survival. You decided that if she cared enough she’d pay your insane price for treatment or she’d pay half of that to put her down. You then decided to humiliate her and say degrading things about her as a pet owner. Discrimination definitely sounds like the source of the problem here, a young Hispanic girl walks in desperate for help for her baby and you looked at it as a chance for a payday. I wouldn’t be surprised if this turned into a lawsuit. I’ll have you know she took her dog whom you said wouldn’t make it past Monday to a different vet, who offered better services. They checked her thoroughly, blood-work was done along with imaging. Guess what?! Your “professionals” were wrong. She’s doing much better and is happy as can be with her awesome mom. I’d be happy to post this all over social media and anywhere that allows reviews. As you guys can see below, management posted a reply saying I am not a client. I don’t have to be a client to voice my concerns and anger about your treatment of my friend and her dog. I did not state that I was a client at any point, in fact I clearly stated that I was adding to someone else’s review. Unlike you and your staff who give yourself false reviews to bring up your ratings. What I would like to point out is that at no point was my review questioned or argued. That shows that they know they were in the wrong and there’s no sense in arguing it.

There was a minor mistake made with a charge. However, I got an apology and a credit.

This is the most awesome Animal Hospital. They are all very loving & caring , great staff and Doctors. Would completely trust them with my animal ❤️

Kurt Pierson

Wonderful staff! Caring & professional. Cannot reccomend this place enough.

Samantha White

The worst vet ever and very over priced

Allison Guse

Even though I no longer live close to this vet, I still make the drive because they are WORTH it! I've never before been to a place where the vets give their personal cell because they want you to text them with an update. This happened when my dog had pink eye. Truely remarkable. They obviously love what they do and love pets.

Poor Sir Humphrey Hamster was sick with an eye infection. And I couldn’t bare to see my little friend in pain. I took him to 1 of 2 places open for exotic animals. The staff at St Charles was very understanding and caring. Sir Humphrey is doing much better. I know where to take him if we ever need help again. Thank you St Charles.

I can’t say enough great things about Dr. N! After having an awful experience at another vet we decided to take our dog to see Dr N at St Charles and I am so glad we did. After getting the run around for almost a year she was able to diagnose our dog within a few minutes. She made us feel at ease and so comfortable. I was amazed at how knowledgeable she was and would highly recommend her to anyone!!

I’ve been long time customers of this veterinary hospital—more than 5 years. In the beginning service was amazing and they seemed to truly care for the animals. But recently, it’s all about the money. When calling about an issue with my pet’s health, they always tell me there are no openings until a few weeks out. But then they tell me they can get my dog in the same day for $99. So they won’t see your dog immediately unless you pay more money. Called another vet and told them about my dogs condition and they worked us in an hour after calling, even though they were extremely busy. I have no regrets in switching vets.

Bad service!!! Overpriced!!!

When I went there to get a sugar glider checked out because of an injury it had. The doctor wouldn't give a for sure answer whenever she was telling me what was wrong. All she would say is things like "maybe" or "I think" instead of being sure about anything she was even saying. No confidence whatsoever when answering questions

We were new to the area and were with another practice. Something just didn’t feel right . They were good ,but I did t feel comfortable. We found St. Charles thank goodness. They and I do mean everything in the practice are wonderful caring individuals. The practice is modern and up to date in all aspects of animal care. We have had to use the emergency hours and the care and attention is the same ,unmatched.

Amber Penske

While I’m grateful that there’s a 24 hour vet so close to us available for emergencies- the gut wrenching and devastating experience of having to end our 12 year old baby’s suffering was made worse with the actual euthanasia process used. It was the 2 shot method and after the first shot we were asked if we wanted a few more minutes with him. When we said yes, both the doctor and tech left. After about a minute, our cat was gasping for air - it was a horrifying image to be left with - made worse by the fact that I couldn’t immediately find either the doctor or the tech. Once I found the tech - she had to find the doctor.....all the while, our cat is gasping. Tonight, I picked up his remains. Before he was laid to rest, I asked the doctor and the tech about paw prints- both said we would get paw prints. I even pulled the tech aside to express to her the importance of the paw prints. Tonight....no paw prints. There’s a paw IMPRESSION as part of the package I purchased. I was told by the young lady assisting me that if I had asked for “stamps” then they would have understood. Seriously? Here’s a thought - YOU are the professionals, YOU are dealing with a distraught family- either ASK THEM what type of paw prints or - hey - go above and beyond- and just make the prints. I was also never given any literature regarding what was included in the package I purchased to even know an impression was in there.

This place is soooo over priced! They charged me $470.00 for well check for 2 small dogs. To add insult to injury, the made us wait over 2 hours for this pleasure. Gave us a quote to clean one of our dog's teeth - a whopping $1,140.00! No way, stay away unless you have an emergency!

haomoli

I love this vets office. All of my animals are well taken care of here, cats, dog and snake. This past January my dog became super sick and it was comforting to know that i could rush him here after hours for emergency. The staff was able to treat him and put up with my constant calls to find out how he was doing. I will not take my babies anywhere else, they are my vets for life.

I have no words to describe how thankful I am. You guys are amaizing, you saved tono's life stayed with him day and night until he was feeling better. If you need a great vet and you want to be sure your baby will be treated as if you were the one taking care of him this is the place for you. A million of thanks and hope every person that works here have a wonderful life because you all deserve it. Thank you!!!!

Alyxander

Wouldn’t listen to me when I kept telling them my cat was in pain, wasted my time and money and when I told them there was a problem they sent me a letter to drop my as a client instead of fixing the problem. This place only cares about making money and could care less about your pet. Take them somewhere else

zaida martinez

They dont care about your pet health they only care about the money, thats the only thing they think and care about... I highly recommend Paws & Claws vet Clinic, the vet is really nice and helpful. Thank you for nothing i already found a better place for my pet.

andylucho1

The staff was very nice and helpful, and our doctor helped us very nicely. I couldn't ask for a nicer staff and they helped me through the pain of losing my friend cat.

Frank Calas

The place was clean and the staff was friendly. Unfortunately we have a guinea pig and it was evident the staff helping us didn't know much about guinea pigs once we took her to her regular doctor the following day. If you have a guinea pig and have the possibility to bring him/her to their regular doctor go there first, however this was still helpful for an emergency visit.

Rob Pietsch

One of the few places in the area that can handle exotic animals. Had them do surgery to remove botfly larvae from one of our animals. I'd say they were equal or higher priced than other locations in the area.

Reviewer Jay

Took my dog in for the first time to a very nice staff and clean facility. Then we met Dr. Allison. She's very cold. Never introduced herself. Never smiled. Based on how I felt when we left we have switched doctors.

Lauren Zigmund

Great doctors. Wonderful staff.

Christopher Ramos

Friendly, helpful and patient staff. Went to St. Charles for the first time and had a good experience. The staff was quick and attentive even at 4am. Normally my dog is not good with strangers but she was with the workers here. They let her go at her own pace and were gentle during her exams. When it came to payment, we could not do all exams they recommended but they worked with us on what we could do.

Libby Scudella

St. Charles has been an amazing vet clinic to my pets for over 7 years! The entire staff has always been so friendly and welcoming they with a lot of them it’s like seeing friends or family. They are patient and understanding with my anxious dog. They give top-quality care every time we are there and I trust they will always do their best for my animals. I will always be a loyal customer for St. Charles and recommend anyone take their pet there

Robert Shalack

Quick service and able to see Cat same day, courteous staff and they don't charge an arm and a leg.

Barbara Snyder

Great vet. I love this place and it’s even better now that it’s open 24 hours. Thanks for always being there for us.

Deborah Frieze

Dr.Parrot is phenomenal. She is highly knowledgeable and keeps her staff on there toes. She keeps a tight ship so it's refreshing to know her staff are well trained as well. My golden loved everyone and even though we had to relocate I text Dr. Parrot if I have any questions regarding my baby and is so helpful in every way. I have referred many people to her and it's comforting to know their babe's are well taken care of. I've been to other Vets in Orlando and she far exceeds the love and care her practice brings. We LOVE Dr. Parrot! She is wonderful with our little Willow, a marmoset monkey. She knows how to handle them so wonderfully! I highly recommend this place. Your fur babies will receive the best care!

Carol Hartley

They are awesome! They took very good care of my dark brahma hen Athens. Love them!

Darlene Woods

The Drs. Are awesome and very informational. The love and affection is really overwhelming. I also would drive for miles to keep this team in my baby girl Sparkles life!

Toni Xavier

Highly recommend the wonderful staff and Dr’s at St Charles! Our pups are well cared for every visit, Dr Parrot is just awesome. Takes her time, gives great advice and knows her stuff!

Tara Coughlan

We used St Charles services for our dog over a period of a year or more. After the last visit there I simply questioned over the phone one charge on our bill. I never received a call back regarding the charge. Instead I was issued a written letter from them kindly asking me to take my services elsewhere!!! Unbelievable - whatever happened to common courtesy or helpful assistance? Obviously they do not really care about their customers or about retaining them from my example. I am happily now using another veterinary practice who are very happy to help and explain things to their customers.

Amazing doctors is all I can say and Best Care.Doctor Roberts has been helping me with my German Shepered who has recently been diagnosed with DM and she has been doing all to keep him comfortable. Thanks St Charles for everything

Absolutely rude people over the phone. Dont bring your pets here if you have issues with reptiles. Go anywhere else.

I took my pitbull to St. Charles. The level of care was great. I have no complaints...

This place they don’t know how to treat people my niece went so they could check her dog and they treated her so bad they even try to get a lot of money out of her without even checking her dog money she didn’t even had and then call animal control on her Don’t recommend it at all

Pat Carl

Dr Parrott has been our vet for the past 10 years and we have had 7 dogs under her care in that time. This past Thursday my 14 year old mini dachshund injured his back again for the fourth time. In addition to that he has nerve damage, spinal damage and Cushing disease. Any other doctor would be hard pressed to give him the love and excellent treatment that dr P has. Today he is running around and happily tearing up any stuffed toy he can get his teeth on. I thank God for her kindness and understanding about how precious our pets are to us and making their lives a happy one!!

Brittany R

They will only treat you good if you have money cause that's all they care about... I don't recommend this place, before you take your pets to a vet go thru the reviews first.

Riley Helriggle

I have never written a google review in my life. But I had to share how absolutely amazing this Vet office is. Dr. Parrot is the best vet I’ve ever been to, but everyone you come in contact with is genuinely nice and cares for you and your animal. Going to the vet is an extremely stressful time for me and my cat. They made us feel so at ease. Our tech ( I think his name was Matt maybe?) was beyond nice to me and Ash. He petted him and made him feel so safe the entire appointment. The office is SOOO clean. They even made choices for his care to help me save money without me asking. They explained everything to me in detail. Even the woman who checked us out told me how beautiful my cat was and honestly was just the nicest. I can’t express how grateful I am for the experience and care they provided. 10000000% recommend this Vet to anyone. They will give your pet the same love and care you do.

St Charles is amazing!!! They watched over my cat Tweek after he had a urinary block. They gave me daily updates even over the weekend. Their prices are comparable to the clinic I took Tweek to first when he was blocked in Gainesville. The clinic itself is beautiful and nicer then my primary doctor's office. The tech was very helpful and understood that my cat was unwell, and didn't need to be stressed out. Dr. Nenezian was very professional and compassionate. She made recommendations and treatment plans that were best for my cat and while also thinking about my finances. I recommend this clinic to everyone, your pet will be in talented and caring hands.

Rob

Have been coming here since my gsd koda was 8 weeks old he's now 7 years old. Doctor Parrot is amazing!! Never had any problems. If your looking for a great vet trust the staff members here

We had an emergency yesterday with our dog, Willie, and St. Charles was able to take him in immediately! We are so grateful that it was Dr. Roberts and her assistant Guilia (spelling? sorry!) that were looking after our boy! They were both *very* kind and seemed to genuinely care about what was going on. It felt as though Willie was a priority to them and we really appreciated their attentiveness. They made it easy for us to understand all of the medical terms and what care was necessary for Willie to feel better. They were very open about pricing and didn't do anything to our dog without getting our permission, first! And thanks to them, he has already improved! We can't wait to fully get back our Silly Willie! This was the first time we've been to St. Charles veterinary hospital and feel that we now want to make it our primary vet for both of our dogs! ♥️
