Years ago, owner and wife were opinionated monsters. Wife was going to slap my dog for playful chewing of fingers. I wouldn't ever take a pet there again. And if they even hope to stay in business get rid of that voicemail recording and get someone to REALLY answer the phone. I must make an edit to my review! That owner and wife (both vets) have moved on! They built a clinic in Edwardsburg Mi. On Day & 62. Beware! I have no opinion of the current Roseland Animal hospital at this time.

Terrible place.... way over priced and rude not to mention the fact that I was lied to on multiple occasions .... my cat would still b alive if they weren't so stupid ... I would give no stars if it was possible

I don’t typically write online reviews unless I’m pissed but two weeks ago I came home from work to find my young cat gravely injured and needing immediate medical treatment. Roseland Animal Hospital was the closest facilities still open. It was 5:45, they close at 6 and it would take at least 25 minutes for me to load the cat in a carrier and get there. They were kind of enough to stay open for me and were ready and waiting when I arrived. The staff worked together to get the situation assessed and Dr. Colon explained his priorities and provided me with a clear set of options. What I appreciate from Dr. Colon and his staff the most is providing me with realistic expectations of what surgery could potentially repair and the resulting quality of life for the animal. Ultimately, I had to make the hard choice of putting him down. However, I was so impressed by the compassion and professionalism of Dr. Colon and his fantastic staff that I was compelled to write this review despite my loss. When I get another furry friend I won’t hesitate to go to Roseland Animal Hospital for caring and honest veterinary services.

We take our animals there and love the vets. The wait time can be ridiculous sometimes and a few certain front desk people should not be working there. But the vets are awesome and the vet techs are great.

This practice is all about money. Vaccines not really necessary and tests not needed. I found the staff snooty and when asked to speak to the veterinarian was put off by technicians.

Dr. Colon and his staff are wonderful! He sincerely loves animals...I moved from Northern Virginia where my vet had been caring for my dogs since they were pups, she was like family. I feel blessed to have found someone with the same caring qualities. Thank you Dr. Colon and staff! Keep up the great work!

Had Dr. Reed for a second opinion on our dog and she was wonderful!! Very informative and knowledgeable, took the time to look over our dog's full history even though it was late in the day and they were getting ready to close, she didn't make us feel rushed at all. The best surprise was how comfortable she was examining our large German Shepherd. Our last vet was too afraid to touch him hardly and I had to always hold him and open his mouth etc. Dr Reed and her Vet Tech seemed shocked to see me getting on the floor to help but that's all i was used to doing at the other clinic! The other Vet at south bend animal clinic also misdiagnosed our dog and seemed to be clueless but Dr. Reed was very helpful and didn't miss a thing. Highly recommend

We took or two "Torties" in for their rabies vaccinations and check up. Dr. D and her Vet Tech were not only knowledgable but wonderfully positive about our kitties. They both made helpful suggestions and treated our cats like family. I have trusted them with pet care since 1996.

This a scam Vet that I would NOT recommend to anyone. It's a shame as it is only a few blocks from my house. I made an appointment to get Sentinal with heartgard and they said it was no problem. The people were mostly nice but they were constantly trying to cram sales stuff in. It's irritating when they are trying to smash sales into you while you are there for a regular appointment (and my first with the vet). I get to the end after all the testing and they are further trying to sell me on other stuff. Turns out they DONT EVEN HAVE Sentinal and pawn off Simparico garbage that gives dogs seizures occasionally. I told them made the appointment specifically for Sentinal and you said it wasn't a problem. They responded "this is just as good". I didn't want to switch and take the risk of side effects and explained to them the issue. They stated they were going to charge me for all the testing anyway and I had to pay even if they lied to get my business....WHAT A SCAM. I didn't want to go pay for more testing g which would be required to get the heartguard Sentinal from an actual veterinarian(nor a scam sales outfit) This is a terrible place. They don't listen. They lie to get your money and will say anything it takes. I paid the $850 for 12 months of simparico FOR BOTH my dogs and the testing and will NEVER forget what horrible business practices they are willing to push in order to scrape money out of you. STAY AWAY!!! This PLACE WILL LIE AND SCAM YOU.

What a wonderful experience. Dr Colon-Berrios spent a lot of time with us. He is very personable and you can tell he just loves animals. He held and hugged our kitten as if he was his own. Prices are very reasonable. Location is easy to get to and there's plenty of parking. The hours are incredibly accomodating, we had a Saturday appointment - how great is that? I didn't even have to miss work. Plus he accepts Care Credit, which is great in an emergency. We'll bring our little guy back when he's old enough to get fixed.

Outstanding. Took my dog here on short notice for an emergency visit. We were with the vet in less than 10 minutes. Knowledgeable and affordable, even with the emergency visit fee, and efficient - one test was ordered which came back with the correct diagnosis. Friendly staff. Follow up call from Dr. Maske when the labs came back. Clearly a guy giving it 100%, choosing to coordinate care with me personally and even giving me a call after hours with instructions on how to treat my dog. All of this after a single walk-in visit. Great experience overall

This review is for 2 people specifically. First for Kathleen, she works at the front desk, I lost my Ferret with no warning, I woke up to find he had passed away. I called roseland because I wanted my other two ferrets to be checked out to be sure the same wasn't going to happen to them, I was crying on the phone and she was very sweet, and calming. She told me about the cremation service they offer and I went ahead and got it done, I dropped my poor boy off on Tuesday, he was ready for pick up friday, the snow was too bad to get across town, I went today and she was very sweet, I had told her I was there for Teddy, and went to the back to grab him, she came around, gave him to me and gave me the one of the warmest, most genuine hugs, a person could get. I was immediately in tears and she told me how loved he was and how happy she was I got to know him, I was so moved. Shes so kind and I wanted everyone to know that. My second person would be Dr. Dougherty(sure hope i spelled it right) She has been my ferrets vet since I first got Abbie, my oldest ferret, she has also been the dr to Ollie, and Teddy. A note was left with her that Teddy had passed and she called me that night after they had closed to express how sorry she was and how loved Teddy was she told me he was very healthy and happy every time she came in. She always notices how my ferrets are when I bring them in, she talks with them, they are always thrilled to see her, she has developed a personal relationship with them, knowing their characteristics, what they like, dont like, etc. She knows their personalities and always cuts their nails for me. My sister had a bad incident with roseland and I dont know who with, but These two have made my experience with them so pleasant, My heart has been touched by their kind words and actions and my Ferrets will continue to be Dr. Doughertys patients while possible.

We had an emergency visit for our 90+ pound dog, Louie and were hard pressed for time and finances the day that we noticed his symptoms. Roseland got us in the same day and the front desk staff, our vet tech, and Dr. Dougherty were professional, courteous, and so understanding of our situation. She gave us a treatment recommendation and offered multiple different options to fit our budget and time constraints, complete with the pros and cons of each treatment. She saved us over $350 on medications and our office visit was about $75 less than what I had been quoted at other clinics (and over the phone). I had been anxious about trying Roseland because I've heard so many people say that it's expensive but our visit was far less than expected, the service far exceeded our expectations, and from here on out, we will not trust anyone else with our animals.

I haven't been in to see them yet; I have a 9 year old poodle rescue. He's never been to a vet or had shots. A little worried as I've been doing very well with him. He had knots in fur that took 4 hours to get out. He has a fungal infection in his paws. I'd like to get him fixed but idk if they'll take him.

I went to see doctor Colón- Berrios for my Yorkie, who has been suffering with acid reflux and i will say I was impresses with the doctor. He is wonderful. He is carrying and loving and takes time to check your pet, he has excellent bedside manors with the owners as well. The staff is very friendly and attentive and the clinic us very clean. If you want an excellent DVM for your pet, this is the place to take them.

Dr. Dougherty misdiagnosed my cat's illness. She said abdominal ultrasound and blood work performed in December 2016 was normal. My cat continued to vomit daily. Tried various medications and diet changes. In April 2017 I had to take her to the emergency vet clinic. They found a large mass in her stomach and diagnosed her with feline lymphoma. There was nothing they could do for her. I had to have her put to sleep. The doctor never took responsibility for her actions, all I got from her were excuses.

This made me realize how much I miss Roseland Animal Hospital. They keep excellent records and have diligently cared for my cat for years. I was able to call them years later and have vaccination records emailed to me on the ASAP. I've never had anything but an excellent experience with them, and am considering making the drive to bring my cat back into their care. Places like this are hard to find! I didn't know what I had, until I had to go somewhere else. This place is the best!

I visited R.A.H. on 4/6/18 with an exotic rodent. Dr Dougherty confirmed my diagnosis that nothing could be done to save her. Dr D is kind, caring, and extremely knowledgeable when it comes to exotic medicine. I would recommend her to anyone needing a vet for exotic animal care. This hospital and staff are top notch all the way.

This is the best animal hospital I have ever been to!!! After going to two other vets, they didn’t help my bearded dragon at all. Roseland hospital did everything they could to save my bearded dragon and didn’t want to give up but when the time came and we both knew it was time I had him put down. It was so hard to do but i knew it was the best thing for him!! Dr. Reed was the sweetest ever and i’m so thankful for her. No other place cared like she did. This place truly cares about your Pets. I got to choose if I wanted him cremated and chose what urn I wanted, then they do paw prints on clay of your pet. It made me so happy. I’ll forever cherish It. After a couple weeks I got a card from the hospital and the staff all wrote nice things.. Thank you so much Dr. Reed for everything!!! I appreciate everything and truly will never forget this. The experience I got from this place was the best and I know my baby Zeus is in a better place now. Thank you

I took my pet rat to Dr. Colón for her overgrown teeth after being neglected by the person I entrusted her care to. I thought for sure she would have to be put down but Dr. Colón was able to trim her teeth beautifully, treat an abscess in her mouth, and even put her under anesthesia when the procedure proved too stressful. I am beyond impressed by his incredible bedside manner and knowledge, as well as his technician's. I would highly recommend him and his staff, especially for small animal care. Thank you to everyone at the Roseland Animal Clinic for making a stressful day much easier for Sweetie and I!

I am new to the area from Ohio and I worked at our last vet for over 5 years. I took my dog JuneBug to Roseland to have some of her least favorite things done... and I mean she would try to alligator roll you to death. The staff and doctor were fantastic! Using a different technique my terrible, bad, alligattor rollin, jerk of a dog was a complete angel! Very reasonable priced as well. I highly recommend bringing your pets here.

I don't know where to begin explaining how impressed I am with this office. Dr.Colon is such a friendly and knowledgeable doctor. Very thorough and loving with our 2 large dogs. He was on the floor playing with the dogs while he examined them. His staff were all very nice and helpful. Prices are very fair. Considering all of the services he provided. Highly recommend because he really tries to keep the pets calm and make the visit pleasant while explaining in detail everything.
