we had an appointment and waited one hour just for nurse to come in then their cat Claus attacked my cat who is sick and only 2 months old. then the vet rolled her eyes after asking us of we were gonna keep our cat very unprofessional and rude. he only has a respiratory infection. we needed abotic not waiting two hours for a vet only question are we keeping our cat never going again

Been our vet for almost 2 years. The staff is great. They worked our pup (who is like our kid) in last Saturday when we didn't have an appointment and she's feeling much better. What I really like is they take time to answer questions and seem to actually care.

I brought our barn cat in after finding out he was abused by some kids. Dr. Yoder was gracious with her time when I immediately brought him in without an appointment. Dr. Yoder suggested he stay the weekend for observation and some handling. He was very angry and scared when I left him. When I picked him up, he was calm and friendly again. Dr. Yoder was able to bring our barn cat back to his friendly self while doing a complete workup. I could not have asked for a more from a vet. Both staff and Dr. Yoder were unbelievably kind! Thank you for helping our sweet barn cat!

Dr. Yoder and the Ridge team were wonderful at preparing Lucy, my 98 year old grandfather's tabby cat, for a short-notice plane ride. Grandpa's nursing home forced the cat out, and rather than take Lucy to a shelter where she'd likely be euthanized, Ridge was able to squeeze in an appointment, get Lucy's vaccines and health records up to date, and make her comfortable for a long plane ride. Lucy is now in the Midwest, has adjusted nicely, and will be adopted by a new, caring owner in a few weeks. Thank you, Dr. Yoder, for all of your help and efforts to help me save this cat!

They told me my dog didn't have worms but then one day he went down and we had to take him to an emergency vet were they wanted 2900 to get worms out and they said he's had him since birth we had to surrender our pup because ridge vet said he didn't have worms never take your animals to this vet

AKC/UKC/CKC show animals need someone well versed in their idiosyncrasies & individual traits. We don't need to sit there for over 1/2 hour beyond appt time while she waited on literally EVERYBODY else & walk ins: & that was AFTER doing her a favor day before by relinquishing our appt as the office was literally backed up with patients because as reported by Staff her "surgery was NOT going well at all". Will NOT pay top dollar to be ignored.

My american bulldog is my best friend and side kick. I would be lost without him. Ridge Vet hospital takes the best care of him. I ask a lot of questions and Dr. Yoder always has answers. Ridge took care of my beloved fur baby while I went on vacation and I called everyday to check on him, Ridge was very patient and understanding. I will never take my fur baby anywhere but ridge.

I have been bringing my animals to Dr. Yoder for over 25 years. She has taken care of my horses, cats and dogs. You could not ask for a more caring, kind compassionate vet. She has went above and beyond over the years being there for my beloved pets. I would highly recommend her if you need a vet for your fur babies. Dr. Yoder and the staff goes out of their way to make your pet feel loved and safe. Her office is very nice and well stocked with pet products!!! We love Dr. Yoder and her staff!!!!

I was looking for a vet in the lake wales area as we are new here. I had heard about this vet Dr yoder from my neighbor a long time lake wales resident and father to a famous baseball player. I had lost the phone number so I just googled it , and was shocked by the first review stating "please never go to this vet" . I thought my neighbor uses this vet I am going anyway . I was greeted by the Dr and had a exceptional experience there with my 8 year old Scottie. But I could not let it go so I asked about the review. She told me she was not there but at a Christian retreat and had found a substitute Dr. THIS was the vet who treated miss chelsie lab NOT Dr Yoder. Dr Yoder showed me a photo copy of the check she sent REFUNDING the entire charge along with a letter expressing her heart felt feelings . The woman received all her money back and did not have the common decency to retract her accusation false accusation is, where I come from, a low base method of maliciously hurting innocent people and should be a crime shame on you mrs accuser

Dr. Yoder and her staff were absolutely wonderful and caring with our kitty, Abby, when she was put to sleep this week. Decisions like putting a beloved animal to sleep are difficult, no matter the circumstances.Ridge Veterinary Hospital was empathetic and gentle about it, both with Abby and with us. For this, we are thankful. We also had our 11 month old male cat neutered there, just two days prior to Abby's passing. It was a problem-free procedure and he's healing just fine as he was seen by them again today, for an unrelated reaction to something he may have gotten into. The vet that was there in place of Dr. Yoder was a kind gentleman that was helpful and informative when it comes to easing my concerns and making our kitty feel better. Marie P. is a good listener and cares about animals and making sure we have access to someone to talk to when we panic about our pets. Thank you Ridge Veterinary Hospital.

Only used them to neuter my new cat and get him all his new kitty stuff since I had a voucher for his surgery and I was about to move out of florida - I had a regular vet I used before that for my other pets. But they were very nice and very helpful even though we were only temporary patients! The vet was super nice about taking time to answer questions I had about possible medical scenarios with him and really took time to address my questions fully. So, thanks for all your help with Duane Barry! He's a super happy guy, handled the trip to Maine like a champ, and he is the biggest snuggle bug ever. And, he got along great with my other two cats instantly (He's super mellow!). His street-cat story has a very, very happy ending!❤

Took my 6wk old puppy here for the first time. They were very good with her. They gave her a check up, her first shots, micochipped her, gave her flea meds, 6 cans of special food, and cut her nails all for under $200.

Please, Please, Please never take your dog to this place. They do not care about ethics, it is the almighty dollar!!! Our lab needed a surgery to treat a prolapsed cervix, but instead of giving her the correct surgery that included a spay when we brought her in, they just pushed everything back in and stitched her up. They charged us 685.00 for this and she stayed their over the weekend, because they felt she needed to. Come Monday they call me and say she needs emergency surgery to fix the problem and spay her, for which we would be charged another 1650.00 or more. They would not work with us on a payment plan we had to have the money or she would not be taken care of, there were no other options!!! We quickly called another vet to look at our options, Lake Wales Veterinary Hospital was willing to take her and do the correct surgery for $600 and they were willing to help us with a payment plan!!! (Nice to know there are some decent people in this world) The new vet was really confused as to why Ridge did not do the spay surgery in the first place since that is what should be done in this case. Ridge Veterinary Hospital does not care about you or your dog, they care about the almighty dollar!! They are heartless and incompetent. Do not waste your time or your hard earned money there, Please take your dog to Lake Wales Veterinary Hospital or anywhere else!!!!

Upon checking out, after my 2 cats were spayed, I heard a cat "ruckus". I expressed concern that there was a large dog in the back and I heard my cats freak out, I asked about what do I do if they " pop a stitch or something". My concern was not with the dog, only that I thought the cats had seen him. But rather than answer my question the Dr. Launched an attack on ME! She yelled that she was OFFENDED that I would accuse her of putting my cats in danger and how dare I insinuate that she would let that happen! I came back at her... "I was not insinuating anything. I was asking PROFESSIONALS what to do if the cats popped a stitch by freaking out. (The receptionist then told me they use glue). SEE!!! I don't know anything about this procedure I was ASKING. A. QUESTION!" She came back with "How long have you been coming here?" I said "today's the last day" She said "good, make her a copy of her records" I said I don't need anything from you. Nothing. Ever. The receptionist tried to explain that Dr Yoder had experienced quite a bad day I can see why. She is rude, unprofessional, condescending and from the brief time I got to interact with her, ill tempered and unstable.
