Vet care pretty good but can't get same doctor, phone calls are almost never answered, goes to phone answering. Do not help clients with requests. Customer service is lacking. Roadblocks for clients request is the norm. But if you give them more money you can get some accommodation.

My 10 month old puppy was taken to Polk county animal hospital as we have twice with no issues. This time, my dog received a scratch under her eye lid while she was in their care to receive her nails cut. My pup has anxiety dealing with her nails being cut but she’s never been injured. The worst part of this is that this was not brought to our attention that she was or may have been hurt and we found out on our own because her eye began to get worst after her visit. Took her to another vet to have her eye looked at and they confirmed the suspicion....that she was scratched in the eye recently. We were advised not to go back to where we took her which we will no longer be doing with her or any of our animals. The only reason this rating is a two and not a one is because we’ve been happy with their service up until this point. Hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else’s animal.

The staff is very friendly. However that is not enough for me.... the last 3 times we have boarded our Australian Sheppard there she has come back home with one or more spot on her. Either a hot spot or a pressure spot. Something that has rubbed the skin raw enough to have no hair and very red or even bleeding. This last time we boarded her it was only one night and she has a pressure spot on the top of her snout... there is no way my dog did that to herself. I'm incredibly irritated that my dog, who is the most easy going dog ever, has come back home several times with "accidents". I dont ever plan to take my dog there again.

I tried calling to ask about declawing our year-old kitten who's been beating up our older cat and tearing up carpets. I never even got to speak to an employee after five minutes of listening to the automated hold recording brag about how 'great' this office is. We'll be going elsewhere with our services, and you can bet we won't be trying this office again.

Was not happy with vet. My Shepard's my medical dog n she wouldn't even look at what's eating her feet, n she's still in pain n limping bad, vet didn't worry but her temp. She wasn't up to my standard as vet, who cares. Really mad at her, yes agree high temp. Yet wouldn't even look at what's eating her. Big black things sucking her. I would never go back, or recamend, she did 1thing rt. Gv her Cipro and UTI temp helped. Now she can barely walk cuz she wasn't worried but only temp. I knew more bout my dog she's my medical dog whom God bless her heart she's saved me More than once. I HV MS disease n I'm in relapse mode. So no NEVER again..

Words can not express my feelings about the wonderful people at the Polk County Animal Hospital. But I will try. A lot of animal clinics now a day put the all might dollar before the animal. Here at the Polk County Animal Hospital that is NOT the case. These amazing people actually care about your pet. Without there true love and support of my dog Parker. He would not be here with us today. I will never be able to thank you enough for you kindness and understanding in regards to Parkers situation. I thank you for what you do and showing me and your clients that any pet matters. I will we be forever great full.. Thank you for saving my best friend.

Changed because of boarding costs at another N. Lakeland clinic. Only regret I have is that we didn't start here. Courteous, caring staff and doctors as well as affordable. They have always quickly processed the more aggressive or intimidating pets when we've been there (or got the rest of us to the back). I would highly recommend them on my experiences.

We called around 5:30pm today and they fit us in at 7pm. I found the staff courteous and knowledgeable. We have to be a bit frugal with all our spending with 3 kids. I was presently surprised with the cost of our after hours visit. We are changing vets :)

I have gone there several times with my dog. I had no problems with my visit. One night our dog was up all night because of an ear infection. I called at 8:30 in the morning to get him in. They promptly told me they had no appointments. What vet does not save time to schedule a sick dog? I was very upset and went to another vet down the road. I couldn’t let my dog suffer another day. I am still deciding if I should go back.
