Dr. Burke and this clinic is excellent. My cat has seen him on two separate occasions, one minor and one major. He was real with me about my cat's prognosis, but knew exactly how I felt, listened, and gave me the time I needed to make a decision. He didn't needlessly recommend extra procedures or medications. He called me the following morning to check up on my cat. After I had to put my cat down, he sent me a card from his entire office with heartfelt wishes. He even donated money to the Humane Society on my behalf. I have to thank them for their great service; I can truly tell he cares about my pet.

I have had furred family members my entire life. My visit today to OB Vet Clinic has to be the MOST enjoyable visit me and my little man Taz have ever had. The clinic got me scheduled in the same day I called even though Taz was a new patient. The Dr. was very thorough, spent enough time examining, asking questions about why we were in and made us feel comfortable. He addressed all my concerns in a kind and patient manner. I wasn't upsold on medication and forced to make another appointment like the previous vet visits I have had in the past. My invoice/bill was an even more pleasant surprise as I have never been able to leave previous vet offices without an over inflated bill that includes medications, supplements or things that I didn't think were necessary. I immediately came home and made a new patient appointment for my other pet since this will be my new veterinary and the only place I will be taking my pets to. Dr. Burke is a FANTASTIC Doctor and his staff is AMAZING they are very helpful, extremely friendly and very efficient. I highly recommend Dr. Burke and his staff to anyone looking for a great doctor with very reasonable prices for their pets.

My rescue dog, Banana, was found 13 yrs ago in a dumpster in Little Havana, Miami by my son, and has been my constant companion through divorce, and three major surgeries, she IS my heart!! I met Dr Burke to get an opinion for removal of a very large benign lipoma tumor over her right shoulder, which was almost the size of a soccer ball! She had become unable to walk without tiring, her balance and vibrant personality had turned into a sad, needy, and disabled friend. Dr Burke gave me many options other than surgery, given risks of prolonged anesthesia for a 13 yr old, thoroughly checked her blood and urine, , was clear in communicating his concerns, and gave me the tools to make my decision to have it removed. I chose to risk surgery under his capable hands, and she did fine!! I cannot praise this vet, Dr Burke enough!! Our pets are family, and he is kind, compassionate to owner and pet, very smart, and literally gave my Sweet Banana a second chance for quality of life!! His staff is awesome, hugs for Dr Burke

We just took our dog to Dr. Burke for the first time. What a wonderful doctor! Our dog has anxiety and he and the staff were so patient and gentle with her. He took the time to listen to any concerns we had and explain medications and procedures. He is very knowledgeable and explained things to us clearly. Several years ago my friend took our dog "Cooper" for a visit. While Cooper was being checked over Dr. Burke saw my friend having a heart attack. He took care of him until I was able to come to take him to the emergency room. He kept Cooper for me until I was able to return. What a compassionate man. Now I have a rescue from a lady who had to go to a nursing home. Guess where "Gypsy" is going?

My beloved cat of 16 years, Oscar, developed a tumor several months ago and his prognosis was not good. Dr. Burke was so compassionate and invested in Oscar's health. He gave us many options, great advice, and talked us through our confusion and heartache. When it was time to put Oscar to sleep, Dr. Burke made a house call so that Oscar could pass away in our home surrounded by his family. They also sent us a card signed by all of them with loving thoughts about Oscar, and even made a donation to the humane society in his memory! We were incredibly touched by that. They are truly special people, and I will always trust them with my fuzzy companions. If you're looking for the best care for your pets, this is the place.

I had shown up last Tuesday with my dog to find out they had no open slots that day, which isn't out of the ordinary, so I made an appointment for today, May 1st. I even gave them my dog's medical history so they could make a copy of it and it would save them some time. My appointment was for 3:30. I showed up at 3:20, parked, and walked in. I filled out the one sheet of paperwork they had for me and sat and waited with my pup. A couple of people showed up after I had for meds for their dogs, one of who had called ahead, and they were both seen before me, which again is not out of the ordinary but a little irritating, but I didn't think it was that big of a deal. At 3:50, they still hadn't taken my dog back, which part of me gets because sometimes things happen. One of the receptionists then told me my actual appointment was at 3:45, not 3:30 because "they do this for all first time clients." That upset me a bit because one, I gave them the paperwork last week to circumvent this problem and be more efficient with my time and theirs; and two, they didn't bother telling me this last week OR when I first walked in. It felt very dishonest, and it seemed like the receptionist who said it didn't really care that I wasn't okay with it when I told her that. I wasn't rude, didn't yell, or anything. I just said, "I wish y'all would have told me this last week because this is not ok." So given that feel, I left. Yeah, maybe it might have been an overreaction, I'll admit, but at the same time I'm not okay with the way they run their practice. I've never had a vet practice do that to me before. Now, I never saw the vet so I wont comment on his skills because I cant. I only saw the 2 receptionists and heard people in the back talking about their plantar fasciitis pretty loudly. I'll just take my dog somewhere else.
