Took our piglet for a first time check up. Dr Taylor was very straight foward and answered all our questions. Unfortunately, our piglet had an allergic reaction to her vaccine. Our tech Christy immediately recognized something was wrong and rushed her to Dr Taylor and they took measures to reverse her reaction and save her. Christy was very attentive, kept us informed continuously and comforted my 11 yr old, whom was very upset. Dr. Taylor let us know it was touch and go for the night. About 2 a.m. our piglet was finally moving and eating. This a.m. she is almost back to herself out running around. Christy called to check on her first thing this morning. We understand it can happen to any animal and their quick thinking and efforts gave our piglet a fighting chance. Great service, informative group, very straight foward and compassionate about the animals they treat.

Brought our juliana pig to be neutered. It felt more like a production line than a vet office. While under anesthesia, they suggested to have his tusks removed. Went to pick him up and did not even get a chance to speak with a Dr., instead handed post op instructions. Then a few months later, our pig had a stomach blockage. When I called Dade City Aminal Clinic, I was told the vet who handles the large animals was not in that day! I was so worried about my piggy and their "oh well" attitude rubbed me the wrong way. We finally found a vet in Brandon who saw us immediately and did not change us for an emergency visit. I am no longer using Dade city!! My pig deserves better.. and we found it elsewhere!

Dr.Taylor and his staff went the extra mile to make sure that my bull mastiff survived a very scary episode. He checked on him all through the weekend and answered the phone to talk to me about his progress. Straight up about what was wrong and how to treat it. This is an experience from quite awhile ago. I am still very upset. My vet of 25 years had passed and I thought I would give them a try. First, I took my dog in for an annual checkup with an appointment and a nail clipping. Went back and they said they would take my girl for the clipping as Dr. Taylor was in a emergency surgery and would call me back when he could examine her. About 20 minutes later they brought her out and said she's ready to go home. I asked what about her checkup, they said all done, they never called me back, the vet never asked was there any problems etc. Just "she's ready", had her shots. I was in such shock, I left knowing I had an appointment in a few days for my other dog and I would talk to him then and let him know of my displeasure. I come back with my bull mastif mix rescue, Gus had a small cyst on the side of his middle toe. A young vet comes in I explained the reason for the visit. As Gus was laying on the floor the vet looks down, not bending down, not on his knees for a close look. His says with disdain for my junk yard dog rescue "Bring him back when it turns cancerous". I left in shock, went to another vet for a look. He gets on his knees, and gives a thorough look and says "that type of tumor is cancer as soon as it appears". I called Dr. Taylor and shared both expierences with him...of course he was sorry. Gus, had surgery at the caring vets office and lived on another year. I drove by Taylor's place and all the sad memories we're welled up of their uncaring attitude.... .

Best vets and staff ever! We drive all the way from Land O Lakes to Dade City for our fur babies care! After years of steroid use and frequent costly visits with our previous vet care provider, they were able to diagnose our 9 year old doxie and find the problem and now have her skin issues in check with monthly maintenance medications. Their care and prices can't be beat!

We love Dade City Animal Clinic!! We live down in New Tampa, but started taking our dog there because our neighbor was one of their vets. He moved a few years ago, but when we tried to find something closer to home, NOTHING compared. The staff at DCAC are fabulous!! The care is FABULOUS!! The cost is the BEST around!! And they even adopt out animals. That's how we got our current dog, & she's the most amazing dog ever (if we do say so ourselves :-))

This clinic actually CARES about your little Fido or Fluffy. And they love the bigger ones to. They take GREAT care of horses as well! This place is awesome! We take all our animals there. We have goats, dogs, cats, a rabbit. They will come to your farm or you can bring your animal there. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. The doctors are very knowledgeable and have been vets for many years. They will honestly tell you what they would do if it was their own pet. They are willing to try extensive measures to help your pet, or to help you make other difficult decisions as necessary. Their prices are very reasonable.

We found and rescued a baby kitten we thought was close to 6 weeks took her in for a wellness check, and aside from typical worms that baby kittens and puppies get, I was pleased she was overall a perfectly healthy little kitten! The staff just adored her, and the vet was very thorough in checking for fleas and other illnesses. Willow (the kitten) actually did very well being there, she wanted to explore the room which the vet allowed. I thought that was pretty cool. Overall from the front desk to techs and vet behind the walls, I was very pleased!

First thing I have to say is that the staff was amazing. Today was my pit bull Cleopatra first visit. Usually when people see a pit they always jump to conclusions. First thing I hear is we got to muzzle her. Not at this clinic. They never mentioned it. Thanks very much for not labeling my dog. All around it was a very good experience. Clean place really nice staff. Cant say enough good thing about staff. Amazing people. The only issue was very minor. I had a 245 appointment. They didn't get me in until 345. They had a emergency they was taking care of. I totally understand that. To make up for my wait. THEY DIDN'T CHARGE ME FOR A OFFICE VISIT..just charged me for the shots my dog needed. I was really amazed by that. I didnt mind the wait. my dog was having fun making new friends. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IF U ARE LOOKING FOR A VEGETARIAN.. STOP IN HERE CHECK THE PLACE OUT. U WONT REGRET IT. Glad to say I have found a veterinarian that cares more about pets then money. I give it 100 stars on the humanitarian scale

My husband and I take our Mini-Dachshund Katie to this clinic. They have a wonderful staff who are both professional and kind every time we come in! I love that they know who we are when we walk in the door and the front desk staff always want to love on Katie. (Which she absolutely does NOT mind at all) We usually see Dr. Alston. She is so wonderful with Katie and always answers all of our questions! Wait times are usually pretty minimal, even on walk-in days. We've never waited longer than 30min. The doctor and tech's are very kind and knowledgeable! I felt in good hands! The one issue I have is the front desk staff. They seem to be overwhelmed with their duties and reflect an attitude. They seem to have poor listening and communication skills on and off the phone. When I went to pick up my dog, I was told by one of the front desk staff, that even though she knew what I was their for that I still needed to sign in to pick up my dog from surgery as their were a lot of people ahead of me. Who I wonder? The people just arriving for new appointments that haven't paid yet like me! So due to the one staff person, they lose one star!

I came to pick up my mom's dogs from boarding today. My mom is at work and unable to pick them up so I did it for her. My mom made a mistake when dropping them off and was late. Keywords here are MY MOM, not me. So today when I picked them up, ON TIME, the office manager pulled me aside and was extremely rude and told me to "relay the message to my family" that my family's actions were wrong. I have severe anxiety and ended up having a panic attack and crying in the parking lot. Why is the owner of this place taking her frustration out on me? Just ask me for my family's phone number instead of being cowardly. You know damn well that it wasn't me who messed up. Thanks for the panic attack, we won't be coming back again (although I'm sure you're happy about that).

Let me explain my experience. This is the only vet nearby willing to care for my 7 month potbelly. I was stoked to bring her there because it is just adorable in that building and the ladies at the desk were so friendly. Well I dropped off my pig by appointment at 7:30am as soon as they opened their doors. Pepper, my pig, was there to get her hoofs trimmed up. She’s not walking on her hoofs correctly and I am hoping they’ll let me watch and learn but they said they were too busy.. So she’s there for an hour or so and they call to tell me they want to remove her tusks since she is already sedated. (Sedation was required for them to do the hoof care) Being a vet, I trusted their opinion and gave them permission. So I pick her up at 10am. It’s $95. So I go in the front and pay but I have to pull around back to pick her up. So I do. She’s still knocked up from sedation so I lay her in the car and get home to assess her and she is limping horribly. Her back legs have rashes near her hoofs. I can only assume they used a dremel and hit her leg because they were not being careful. Her nose is dark so I wipe it and it’s dry blood. They sent my pig home limping, covered in her own blood from the risk removal and with scratches and didn’t mention one thing to me about how it went. I’m very disappointed. I counted on the VET. My poor girl.... she’s so sad and can barely walk.. I’m definitely giving them a call tomorrow. I didn’t want to complain, I figured yeah they suck I won’t go back, but to watch my poor baby pig in so much pain all day I have to call back tomorrow and make sure they’re aware of her problems. The more I think about it the more angry I am. They didn’t even tell me of any after care for tusk removal. I’ve been researching it since it’s been done to find recovery info and everything says not to remove them. So now I’m just frustrated and angry with this place. Maybe they will be able to explain tomorrow but I doubt there is any reason the sleeping pig should have marks on her legs and blood all over her face.

I was truly amazed about how the staff took care of my little pig when we took her in to be fixed. The staff even trimmed her hoofs with no charge because she was already under anesthesia......... I would highly highly recommend this animal clinic for your needs with your fury family member

The staff here are very courteous and patient. My dog does NOT like her feet touched. I believe it stems from an injury that occurred before I was lucky enough to call her mine. Our local non profit vet wouldn't attempt it due to her anxiety level,which would've doubled if muzzled. Well the folks here have NO problem doing it. It still amazes as I have tried myself and know how worked up Tattoo gets. Thank you all.

The first time we went there was an emergency late in the day. They stayed late and didn't charge extra. And treated a life threatening issue the previous vet was clueless about. Since then they have given our fur babies excellent care. Friendly staff, great drs. Sometimes you wait a bit because they take their time with each patient or they have an emergency. But I wouldn't trust our pets to anyone else.

BIG BEAUTIFUL CLINIC AND EVERYONE THERE LOVES ANIMALS. WE MOVED TO DADE CITY A LITTLE OVER A YEAR AGO, AND THIS PLACE IS REALLY CLOSE TO OUR HOME. WE TRUST THEM WITH OUR DOG MERLIN, AND NEVER THOUGHT TWICE ABOUT BOARDING HIM THERE FOR A FEW DAYS WHILE I HAD SURGERY OUT OF TOWN. HE VISITS REGULARLY FOR BATHING AND NAIL TRIMMING, AND LOVES THE PLACE- HE SEES IT AS A SOCIAL EVENT AND NOT A SCARY VET CLINIC. RECOMMEND THESE GUYS , AND NOW MY KITTIES WILL BE GOING TOO~
