Last Sunday while returning from a short walk our 11 year old Rotty mix began to walk very slowly and then laid down by our driveway and began taking very deep breaths. I immediately called the Animal ER and was told to bring her in right away (only about a mile from where I live). By that time her breathing had returned to normal but I knew something must be really wrong. When I got there they offered a gurney but she had recovered enough to walk on her own. I was very impressed with the care we received. Everyone there was very caring and professional and did their best to make us feel comfortable, explaining what they wanted to do and what it would cost ahead of time. My dog received a very thorough examination by the veterinarian and was found to have a large tumor on her spleen plus blood in her abdomen causing anemia and weakness. I was shown the X-Rays and was told that most likely the cancer was spreading. She would not recover and would only get worse. I elected to have her put down. I stayed with her, petting her and talking to her during the whole procedure. I was given options as to how to dispose of the body. A few days later, I received a sympathy card from them. I would definitely return to AA Animal ER if I ever have another pet emergency.

Your dog is more likely to die of old age before actually being treated by the staff. They also price gouge you and talk down to you when you ask basic questions. Will never go here again.

We visited there a couple times because our miniature Australian shepherd has a petulance for getting round bone stuck around his nose. This place is extremely caring and very professional and most of all they don't rape you on the pricing. The interesting part about this place is if you go to Banfield for a normal visit. You will actually pay more and feel like you've had to take a second mortgage on your house. They've gotten us in quickly and done a phenomenal job. While we were there on one visit unfortunately some folks visiting from out of town had to put their dog down and they have a special room which the owners can grieve. I would highly recommend this place if your pet has an emergency. Thank you for the good work and keep it up.

What an amazing group of people. I found myself rushing there recently in the middle of the night when my little dog was having trouble breathing They were very busy but took him from me right away and gave him oxygen while I waited to talk to the Dr. Dr Stanton was so kind and compassionate. After an xray and some shots of lasix we determined that he was suffering and had little chance of making it through the next half hour. He probably ruptured his mitral valve and was in pain. The staff was so amazing and quick to get him back in my arms so we could say goodbye and stop his suffering. I am forever grateful that there is an emergency Vet so close and so caring. Every single member of the team was wonderful and made a horrible night a little bit easier because they care so much. Thank you AA Animal ER for treating me and Buddy like the most important people that walked through your doors.

This place just two weeks ago sustained my cats life from 6pm to 7am. At such time we picked him up and transferred him to his veterinarian. He is alive today only because of the care he received fromAa Animal Er Centet. PERIOD. Eleven years ago we had a similar situation with our 14 month old cat. He too would have died had it NOT been for the excellent care he received from this facility. Our vet Highly recommends these people. I bet u can understand why. And while we were waiting a number of dogs were brought in with life threatening injuries. ALL SURVIVED THE NIGHT AND THE OWNERS WERE ARRIVING JUST LIKE US TO TRANSFER THEIR PET TO THEIR REGULAR VETERINARIAN. Now in terms of the cost? They were very reasonable. I wouldn't give a damn anyways provided they saved my little guys life. And they did. The were 100% that night. And they are two for two with me. Again, they were very reasonable and they only did tests that reasonably needed to be done. Besides, i have a Visa Card that needed some exercise. (L0L) lt wasn't necessary !

We found abandoned kittens that were maybe 10 days to 2 weeks old, we called all the the humane society and were told that we needed to foster them until they were 6 weeks, so we were bottle feeding them and trying to save them. They were growing and seeming to do fine, then today on a Saturday they took a turn for the worst, one was fighting for his life, we called this animal ER and were told they would not be interested in taking the kitten, they do not do that kind of thing, I assume no money in saving something helpless, so why help.They offered to put them out of their misery. EXACT WORDS! I called Countryside ER, we had to release them over but they were able to save one and will foster it until it can be adopted. I understand that this is a for profit business, but I find this completely heartless, and I will never take my 2 dogs or 2 cats to this place knowing they only care about money, not animal welfare, And I don't think anyone else should either.

I had to have my little yorkie, Pipsi euthanized. Her trachea was closing up on her. The doctor tried to be hopeful but the xray was dismal. The good doctor offered antibiotics & steroids for the chance that she might make it but I chose to spare her any further distress. The doctor confirmed that I had made the right decision. He made it as quick & painless as possible :( (btw- if outcome had been better it would have been five stars)

Last night I brought my dog Gretchen in after she was severely injured by another dog. I could not have been more pleased with the care she received and the staff. They continually kept me up-to-date on the treatment plan, and let me know throughout surgery how she was doing. As you can imagine I was an emotional wreck throughout the entire ordeal. Not only were they caring for my injured dog, but the staff was there for my emotional well-being. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for the love and compassion you show on a daily basis. She is doing quite well. Her tail has been wagging a mile a minute and her appetite couldn’t be better. You all are so amazing, and it’s a relief knowing you are so nearby in the event of an emergency.

This place was a God sent. I brought my cat Bowie in for a possible impaction and they wound up finding a heart issue that lead to his passing. The staff was so caring, giving many updates and letting us sit with him. I wasn't there for his final moments in life, but I thank God that this staff was. I know they fought hard to save him, but were loving, compassionate and caring for him when he could no longer fight. That's all you can ask for when things go so bad so quickly. The facility itself was also very clean and when it came to billing they were very realistic on their estimates, even though these cases are hard to estimate. I felt their pricing was more than fair. The receptionists, and vet staff were always very busy, but if I had any questions I felt they were very present and patient with me, making me the priority at that moment, even though they obviously had a lot to take care of. I honestly can't say enough great things about this place and thank them again for everything!

We rescued a puppy from someone giving them away in a cardboard box. We took her to a veterinarian and they recommended an overnight stay somewhere for IV fluids and care. We chose to come here and are glad we did. Everyone was very friendly and informative. We felt comforted leaving her with them. We brought in a very sick puppy and left with a boundless bundle of energy. I highly recommend this animal hospital and wish they were a full time veterinarian so our dogs could strictly see them.

I would only use them as a last resort for a pet emergency. It bothered me that they were going to turn my pet away on Christmas night while she was on the brink of dying. She was having a reaction due to dehydration caused by ingesting a dog bone purchased at publix. The bone splintered in her intestines and was causing them to bleed and rub raw, which also made her body unable to absorb water and become hydrated. I was informed that if I could not provide a 50% deposit up front of the estimated bill of$800 they would not admit her for overnight treatment and observation, while at the same time they informed me that she would likely die if I didn't admit her overnight for care and observation. I was able to come up with the funds by leveraging the remaining balance on 2 credit cards and they were able to stabalize her until I could take her to our real vet they following day. To top it off, they misdiagnosed the reaction as an allergic reaction and completely missed the real issue of the splintered bone fragment in her intestines. Thankfully our dog has fully recovered and is happy and healthy and the fact that she is alive is the only reason I gave them a second star.

Worst front staff very degrading and rude. It was all about money. My 17 month old frenchy had an unplanned pregnancy and her vet was treating her but late at night we noticed my baby girl in distress and took her to the recommended animal ER. The ER Dr. kept saying we only have short window to a Save puppy and we could be past that. My concern was my girl. They rushed us to front to pay deposit, which was $1000. I had to transfer money from one account to the next took about 15 minutes. They stood around waiting, I asked unmmmm are you waiting for me to pay before you treat her, the receptionist said yes ma’am. I said wow it would horrible if someone’s pet died waiting for payment!!!! Receptionist replied with, it has happened! Then proceeded to say if you go to grocery store you have to pay. My daughter was just staring at me like WTH. I got the money transferred and paid and receptionist proceeds to say we will call you don’t call us. I cried all night, my girl has never been away from us ever. I left a ER AT 10:53 and they didn’t call until 3:44 said it ended up a 2 hr procedure, I’m confused when they started this surgery. Receptionist told me there were other emergencies. Very rude then called at 6:00 am and said I owed additional $2018 and if not paid by 7:15 they would turn dog over to humane society. Worst experience ever I said I don’t have that and receptionist screamed at me and said come get your F’ing dog and pay us by Monday or we are seizing the dog with sheriff. She was very rude when I came in and said they put a lien on my dog and they will seize her. I just wanted my girl in my arms. I went to my normal vet who gave pain meds and higher dose antibiotics and told me pay later. I know everyone deserves to get paid, but where is the compassion! Staff should not be allowed to talk like that and also obviously I would pay I paid 1000 I just need a few days, but to go to extreme that you will seize my dog and charge with a felony if I don’t pay or give dog back is horrible. I would take a felony charge then let them send my baby to the humane society.

Misdiagnosed my cat with asthma December 14th and charged a fortune, upwards of $600.00 Xrays the whole 9 yards. My cat Tigris has been on multiple rounds of antibiotics,bronchodilators, albuterol tank treatment 4 times a day for "said Asthma" which only 1% of all cats get. This course of treatment didn't help what so ever. Then a month later, my cat's sister Zoey starts coughing and gagging and they both go back in to my regular vet and get new tests, xrays, etc... and come to find out they have WORMS !!! Funny how a $15.00 Pancure Worm Treatment cured my cats contagious asthma she gave to her sister too. The poor cat has suffered from these choking and gagging attacks for going on 3 months, we have gotten no sleep being woke up all hours of the night putting the cat in a asthma tank for breathing treatments........... and all along this could have been cured with a $15.00 worm treatment. For what you charged you should have done a better job looking into what was actually wrong. The People At AA Emergency I will say were very very nice, and treated my animal nice as well............. but I wonder if the vet on duty found their veterinary licence in a cracker jack box??? Even the vet tech at my vet couldn't believe they could miss the diagnosis.... They are very nice people and all, but I would not recommend them for an animal emergency unless you are fond of giving away a weeks wages for a misdiagnosis. Sorry to post a negative review, but I am truly not happy. My regular vet waived the charges on the re-xrays, tests, etc. because they felt so bad for what my animals and we went through and the price we paid to go through it. I really thought I was going to have an asthmatic cat for the next 12 to 15 years and care for her around the clock, I am glad it was worms... I know it won't happen, but I would expect every dime you charged us refunded for this incompetence.

My dog was having terrible pain in her hip and I brought her by right away they were the only place open with a doctor at the time. I showed up at 7 wasn’t seen till 9:30 and I saw the doc for a whole 3 minutes she told me to go see my regular doctor. I wasn’t their at 7 because I wanted to it’s because I can’t make it to my normal doctor this week for the rest of the week. They prescribed 3 days worth of pain meds for my husky and that’s all after waiting over 2 hours for 6 pain pills. I wasn’t overly thrilled about the wait but I understand they are busy. I needed a weeks supply of pain meds for my husky so I could make an appointment next week and take her in. They refused to give me more than 3 days worth and said word for word we aren’t here for your convenience which that was obvious after waiting so long I wanted my dog to be treated properly so she isn’t in pain. So for $200 and 3 hours later I got 6 pills and nothing else. They didn’t do x rays or anything in between which is why I initially came in. I will say the lady in the scrubs at the front desk that lady was spectacular but the rest of these lady’s were grotesque and lazy and I would never ever bring my animals to these people. They don’t care. That’s literally how I felt. and as I was leaving their was a couple outside who were complaining out loud and I heard their story briefly and I knew it wasn’t just me. If I ran my business like this I would be out of business. When pets lives are on the line there is no room for laziness or incompetence. When I asked for weeks supply I was told we are not a pharmacy.

I took my cat here when he was attacked by a dog. They brought a towel into the room for me to put him on on the exam table. I was holding him for a while and moved him onto the towel on the table about 5 minutes before they finally came in to examine him. I noticed mites starting to crawl up his legs and picked 3 off and I looked at the folded towel and there were hundreds of mites crawling on all sides of the towel inside and out. There were none on me and no others on my cat yet they proceeded to say that my cat must have brought them in. I ignored this because I wanted my cat examined so I just put him on my jacket. They then proceeded to tell me I needed to pay for two xray views because they needed to take a picture of his good leg to compare it to his bad leg. Last I checked if you have a break in the bone on the xray ITS BROKEN! You don't need to compare it to the other leg. Stay away this is not a clean facility and they try to charge you for stuff you don't need!

Dr.Stanton is amazing.. She saved my 8 yr. doxie Diva after she collapsed in our yard.. By the time we got her to the ER she was drooling, having trouble breathing , messed herself and was completely limp in my arms..The staff took her right away and diagnosed her with sever allergic reaction to a bug bite..I really thought I was going to lose my baby.. Dr.Stanton treated her and we were home in a few hours.. Thank you Dr.Stanton and your Wonderful Staff!!!!

One Sunday our energetic 15 pound YorkieApso wouldn’t move and we could tell he was in so much pain. We called and they told us to come right over. The staff and Dr. were amazing. With a short examination she could tell he had done something to his back. She gave him a shot and sent us home with muscle relaxers, steroids and pain medicine for him and didn’t charge us an arm and a leg. Our pup is running around like crazy again. Good as new!!

Not long ago my dog had a bad reaction to a bee sting after my vet's office hours were over, so I called AA Animal ER. It was pricey as expected ($189 for an after-midnight shot of Benadryl), but you don't quibble with a few extra bucks when your beloved pet is swollen, lumpy, and in respiratory distress. The vet tech was attentive and kind, and kept us there an extra few minutes to be sure my dog wasn't having any adverse reactions. She sent us home with instructions to just self-administer Benadryl if it ever happens again. I never actually saw the vet, but my pup got the care she needed and I have no complaints. In an after-hours emergency, I would definitely go here again. Very caring and helpful!

Very kind and compassionate people. We got right in no wait. Unfortunately we lost our dog here and we were only here for 3mnths. But they handled everything for us. It was all included in the price. Even the urn we got. But if you are in the need for a emergency vet and are new to the area I recommend this place. Most days they open at 5:30 in the evening and stay open til 8 in the morning and 12 Saturdays and remain open til sunday at midnight.

Very impressed. First time I have had to take my dog to an ER. So I have a little story: so my husband took my Dotson outside , as he was coming into the house he was limping he would not stand on his paw. I tripped over him earlier that night. First thing we thought I had stepped on his paw and broke it. I felt horrible. So I called the Office explain the story the receptionist was very nice told me to bring him, she also explain to me how the process of the appointment would be. When we arrived to the office the staff was very nice. We waited a little while (which is expected when you go to an ER). Finally once the doctor came in she checked his paw within seconds being in the room ,she looked deep down into his a paw and found a sand spur. It took the doctor way less then maybe 3 minutes to attend us. She told us to have a good night. I guess waiting as long as we did. They didn’t charge us for the visit. That’s what you call a doctor who cares more for the pets then the money. Thank you Animal ER center. I will definitely be back( hopefully not

If I could leave 0 stars I would! Took our Lhasa chon in for a scratched eyelid and decided to ask the staff to clip her nails. They took her in the back and approximately 5minutes later we hear her squealing. I go out in the hallway to check it out but the squeaking stops before I can intervene so I reluctantly returned to the exam room to wait. When they brought her in she showed multiple signs of high stress and we asked what happened. The tech responded, “Oh one of her nails got cut a little too short but we already cauterized it and she’s fine.” Like it was no big deal that we trusted them to complete the simple task of clipping her nails and they hurt her, made her bleed, and worst of all traumatized her for life! Our groomer came today and tried to clip her nails and she panicked and fought like never before. What used to be a quick and simple thing is now a ridiculously pain staking event thanks to these idiots that cut her nail too short. If they can’t even clip a dogs nails how can they be trusted with more serious life threatening situations? AVOID THIS PLACE, if you have to go here make sure you DO NOT get your pet’s nails clipped, and make sure you keep an eye on these morons unless you want your pet traumatizes for life! After wounding our pup they still charged us for the nails smh terrible business practice! We were tired and angry beyond what words can describe so we didn’t say much at the time, being extremely protective of our pups, I didn’t want to spaz and choke anybody out....

Last night my husband and I took our cat Simon to AA Animal ER after he woke up with sudden blindness. (I apologize that I do not remember anyone's name) Naturally I was freaking out when we arrived. They were very busy, but seeing how horrified I was the receptionist put us in a room right away. The Tech and Vet explained all our options to us, to include prices. As busy as they were we did not feel rushed or pressured. We made the hard decision to euthanize Simon. Everyone was so sympathic and I will never forget their kindness towards us and Simon.

Knowledgeable and professional staff. Notify you of charges up front. Dr Lee notified me guickly of diagnosis and preferred treatment. My dog was kept overnight and I was encouraged to call to check on his progress. When I picked him up the next morning, he was much improved. I thought the worst when I brought him in and was elated when I saw him in the morning. If we ever need emergency care again,I wouldn't hesitate to return. Highly recommend.

I took my 4 month old lab in on a Saturday evening for a tragic accident. The staff took him immediately from my arms and gave him pain medication. They began treating him immediately. The staff and doctors were unbelievably attentive, kind and compassionate. The decision was made to keep him overnight for monitoring which I agreed was the best course of action. I called twice to check on him overnight and both times I was able to speak with the doctor almost immediately. Throughout this entire ordeal they kept me completely informed. I could not ask for a better experience. Every single staff member I dealt with was beyond friendly and helpful. (The puppy is going to be fine.) I cannot recommend this animal ER enough. Outstanding job! Thank you!

Went to a another vets office for my dogs severe diarrhea & vomiting. Was given a shot for vomit & probiotics for diarrhea. Two days later had to go to Emergency Vet for same thing. Dr. LaVigne was great. Same shot for vomiting but actually prescribed a diarrhea medication, which is what the first vet should have done. Note: emergency centers are for just that. This was the case for my dog. Not cheap, but my dog recovered after a few days instead of dying.

I woke up to a parents worse nightmare this morning. My peanut who's 8 years old now has gotten a sinus infection/ head cold to the point my son woke me saying our baby couldn't breathe and was very lethargic couldn't even walk. Honestly I thought she was going to pass before we made it to the animal hospital. Dr. Stanton and her wonderful Nurse Amber were absolutely amazing with my baby. They took her right in immed, very nurturing, caring and gentle with my baby. They also took the time to thoroughly educate me on everything. Dr. Stanton My family and I can not thank you enough for saving my babies life, your our fur babies Angels. Not To mention its Sunday I had to drive to a different county because it's very rare to find a 24 hour animal hospital and they immed got her in a room and made her their priority. At the end of the day I was expecting at least a thousand dollar invoice given the exam fee, iv fluids, meds etc it was under $200.00 total!!!! Amazed again. Thank you to you and your staff. Anyone reading this Do not hesitate get your baby to them now!! Their in the best hands I promise:) Forever thankful, Frazier Family

My dog has had to come here for two separate incidents now. First time was August of 2017 after she suffered heat exhaustion from a day beach and drinking too much saltwater. Dr. Stanton and staff nursed her back to health. They are so kind and truly care about your pet. Recently...this past March she somehow, somewhere got ahold and swallowed a piece of a corn cob. It lodged in her small intestine and formed a complete blockage. My day vet performed the surgery and Dr. Stanton and staff provided the overnight fluids, medication and care that she desperately needed round the clock. They kept me updated with herprognosis and are very good with their pricing. They know what they are doing! If you are in an emergency situation and it's after hours or the weekend, call them!! I am so glad I found them. I meant to review them after her first visit, but got busy and forgot. He recent visit included a few nights in their ICU after her emergency surgery and they gave her the best treatment and care. I highly recommend them to other people in need of a great vet. Dr. Stanton, Dr. LaVigne and staff are amazing!

I’m so thankful to have them in our community!! Brought my cat, Azzie in very unexpectedly when her breathing became labored. They took her in right away & put her into the oxygen cage. They explained options, testing & pricing seeing we didn’t know what was going on with her. Nothing was done until I confirmed what I wanted which I appreciated. Staff & Doctor were all great!! It started to get busy while I was there which delayed the process (had to put my sweet girl down) so between my nerves etc. it was a bit much waiting in the room. However, the facility is super clean & I was grateful that they offer to arrange everything for cremation. Made it a lot easier during an emotional time. Thank you again to all the staff that evening that took care of Azzie ❤️

Recommended by our trusted vet (Country Oaks Animal Hospital). All staff was very knowledgeable and kind. Recommend if you have an off hour emergency. Check their hours. They don't open until evening, and close in the morning.

Took my pet... Came back out said he had a fever and they were giving him IV fluids. Pain med for sore in his mouth. They never said..come on back..i didnt actually see what they did.... One week later...he had the worst ear infection ive ever seen! His ears were bout closed with gunk! Took him back there...the receptionist put us in a room this time..she came back..said doctor would be in...he didn't see my pet. Vet told the receptionist to tell me....to take him to a vet in the morning. That he wouldn't do anything different and would charge me double anyway.. So i left.. I will never go back..I'm not sure...he didn't get his ear infection from them?!? Any vet with an attitude like that..needs a different job.

I wish I was able to give them more than just 5 stars. We recently had our one year old cat get very ill and ended up having to stay the night there.That one night turned into 4 nights due to his condition. The staff and doctors were all so kind and made sure we understood what was going on with our sweet boy. They ended every call with "feel free to call anytime to check on him" and we did lol. If you are looking for a place that is not only reasonably priced but has kind and compassionate staff... this is indefinably a pace to go.

Dr. Stanton and her staff were very very nice and honest, I can tell they really care about their animals and patients and people. I brought my 6 year old shepherd mix who had collapsed suddenly and she tended him instantly. She has a lot of experience and knew what to look for. Unfortunately my poor pup has passed on and I am devastated, but I know she did everything she could and they were very sincere through the entire process. Thank you for everything you did.
