These are some of the friendliest people you can meet. When you show up you and your pet are treated like old friends being welcomed for dinner.
I took my pup in for his annual check-up, and had such a great experience. He was a little nervous, but the vet and staff took such good care of him! There were small personal touches that just made me feel valued and know that my little guy was in good hands. There was even a customized, hand-drawn welcome for Remy when we walked into his exam room. I will definitely be taking Remy back to VCA for all of his follow-ups. :)
Everyone here is amazing and they are always so helpful and kind. Thank you for taking such care of our two dogs, to all the staff.
Nice people but very expensive
Very friendly and professional staff and doctors. Highly recommended!
I wouldn't recommend any one to take there pet here. They told me our faimly cat had jaundice and it would cost 3.000 to 4.000 dollars an we could not afford that they recomended we put hIm to sleep.we couldent do that we went to fenton river vet. And THEY explained he could have Ben locked in a closet for a few days and that could have caused his jaundice.he gave us some medicated food to force feed him hes alive running around and were all very HAPPY and glad we chose not to listen to VCA ANIMAL HOSPITAL OF VERNON. 4.000 dollars or 5 cans of food u decide.
Fantastic vet! The Vernon VCA takes the time to listen to your concerns and answer your questions. They tell you to the penny what every will cost and what is definitely needed right away and what can wait. The whole staff is awesome! They give you a goody bag for your fur babies on your first visit. How sweet is that! We will never take our pets anywhere else.
Vca has nice staff....but I won't be returning after being told "Prozac" is a controlled substance and that my cat needed bloodwork done twice a year...that's a lie...when I called Bolton vet they were shocked that my vet called it a Controlled substance...lol in fact you can google prozac and it even says that prozac is not a controlled substance ..... Please don't try and pull the wool over your customers eyes...this is why I don't trust some pet hospitals...and this is why I flipped out on you guys before....this is exactly where my distrust comes from in regards to money with veterinarians.
The staff are wonderfull, caring, respectful. Went to another one and it was a nightmare!
Excellent care for my cat. Very friendly staff and Dr. I would reccomend this Animal Hospital for any pet owners.
Friendly staff and knowledgeable Dr's
Great Vet. Great staff. Always helpful
They do very well with my Chesapeake who can be iffy with strangers. They also are honest and have decent prices. I've been to others vets and I always come back here even though it's an hour drive!!! I've seen a couple veterinarians in this office but especially love Dr. Bednar! They are also very accommodating with appts!
A veterinary clinic has one job. To access and treat the illness of an animal. Veterinary clinics have seen and assessed thousands of dying animals in their line of business. Now tell me, how is it that I bring my dying cat into this clinic and instead of placing their knowledge of expertise and easing my pain that my cat is dying, they charge me $400 for unneeded tests and are still charging me these fees after my cat has passed away? I am extremely unsatisfied and disgusted by this clinic and recommended any other clinic on the entire east coast besides this one. They are more concerned with money rather than you beloved pet.
Quick, informed, and patient with my cat.
I've been working with this VCA to help my cat for months. They caught a heart condition that his previous vet missed and have been absolutely thorough in making sure his heart is taken care of. I can say we love each and every person on the staff. They are all very kind and patient even when we've been alittle late. there is never much of a wait, if there even is a wait to be taken back. I've been to many different vets offices over the years including other VCAs and this VCA has really put its self at the top of my favorites list.
This is the most inconsiderate, money hungry selfish veterinary clinic that exits. They don't care about your pets life. They charge you $400 just to be told your cat is going to die within the week. I have never been more angered and disappointed in a business in my entire life. Would this be an acceptable line of action is this was a human being? Or do pets not make the cut?
Good people. Clean, friendly, professional, competent and low cost.
Always worked well with my animals
such a friendly environment and the staff are amazing! I definately don't mind the travel from enfield for them. I feel their pricing is very fair also.
VCA of Vernon is wonderful. The entire staff is friendly and were very helpful for the 2 appointments I made. My mini yorkie is very anxious, barks, and nips when afraid and everyone that dealt with him was patient and waited for him to relax enough for the exam. I will definitely go back for any routine exams and emergencies! If you're worried about your pet bring it here first!
The staff and doctors here are so nice and helpful. This is the best office we’ve been to and we really appreciate everyone here.
They are always so friendly
Very caring staff, but a little pricey and they really try to push getting shots for your pup.
The low review on here is an outlier, maybe a little expensive but good people, good care.
Dr. Aronson and the staff are kind and compassionate. The vet gave me a price quote before running labs on my kitty so I knew what to expect. Any office visit, pet or human, is expensive, that's just the way healthcare is, and getting bad news doesn't mean the hospital should eat the cost.
Made our visit very comfortable, our dog loved it there.
My cat, a Russian Blue whom I call Blue (not very original, I know) was diagnosed with late stage renal failure/disease. Blue will be four years old in April. For the past week, I was living a nightmare. My cats are just as much a part of my life as my parents, brother, and sister are. I was devastated when I got the news from Blue's blood panel. His creatinine was over 7 (anything > 2.5 isn't good) and I was told the only thing that can be done was to give him eventual palliative care; to make him comfortable until euthanization. Heartbroken, I started planning in my head what I'd do and what I'd feel when he is gone. Had I relied on the veterinarian who told me nothing could be done to restore the health of my cat, Blue surely would have passed; which is why I want to thank and recognize Dr. Sonja Weissbach of VCA Animal Hospital of Vernon for saving Blue's life. Dr. Weissbach is perhaps the most compassionate and tenacious MD I've met. What she did was just what TV show "House, MD" actor Greg House does: take an introspective look at the problem and using her repertoire of medical expertise, prescribe hope when all hope seems lost. Dr. Weissbach resisted the overwhelming odds against Blue and put Blue on a regimen of medication uniquely tailored to his very unique problem. I assure you, no medical textbook will offer a path to recovery with renal failure/failing kidneys with a creatinine level north of seven. Dr. Weissbach persevered and saved Blue's life. His creatinine level is now 2.2, and that is a miraculous change. It is with this experience I wholly recommend the services specifically of Dr. Weissbach for the medical care of your pet(s). I put my faith in her decisions, and my cat was blessed with a best-case outcome. Dr. Weissbach prevailed. Dr. Weissbach is an invaluable asset to this medical group. Blue is alive and healthy thanks to the forward thinking of Dr. Weissbach and the courteous VCA team. Such a triumphant win over Blue's disease cannot be summed up in words. From the bottom of our hearts, Blue and I thank you! ~ David J. Helton Ph.D.
My cat is the nervous type when he is in a new situation. The atmosphere at this office is warm and welcoming and they treated my cat like a king. Dr. Aronson was very kind and caring. I appreciate the fact that they discuss costs and recommendations before doing vaccinations. They were willing to work with me on payment options as well. The staff and Dr. Aronson were friendly, knowledgeable, and caring. I would recommend this hospital to anyone. Five stars!!!!
the folks at VCA are kind and compassionate the recently supported us when we had to put our 15 year old cat down.
This time they were prompt and courteous
Kush likes them
Dr. Aronson has been our vet for almost 20 years. I wouldn't think of taking my animals to anybody but him and his great staff.
Great staff, very helpful and understanding. Even our Cat loves going!
What a lovely facility and staff. I brought both of my cats here within two weeks and had excellent experiences both times. Staff were very friendly and after one of my cats had to get an ingrown nail taken out they called me several times to check in to see how she was doing. Even after a week I told them she was doing ok, they still called to see how she was doing. The absolute best people to work with, I would definitely trust them. Also affordable. My cat got all of her nails clipped, a wellness check, fixed her ingrown nail, and a shot of an antibiotic and it cost a little less than $150. Well worth the price to keep our princess happy and healthy. Thank you so much VCA Vernon. And their office doesnt even smell like pet urine! How do they even do that?? Well Done!
The staff and doctor very helpful and friendly. I got our cat,Ozzy in for a sick visit the same day.Thank you very much VCA
Really like them. Have been taking my two cats here for many years. They always get you in promptly, especially if there’s a concern. They genuinely care about your pets- techs to doctors.
I can't say enough good things about this vet. Two years ago I rescued a stray cat. She turned out to have an invasive oral cancer and for the two months she lived, Vernon VCA was with me every step of the way. Far from only being in it for the money, they gave me a break on her treatments, since I was there so often. Even though it was clear that she wasn't going to make it, they treated her and me kindly and with respect. When it was time for her to be helped out of her suffering, they were kind and understanding, and Dr. Aronson was the opposite of cold--even he had tears in his eyes as Gracie breathed her last. And after she was gone, I got a condolence card signed by every member of the staff, with a personal note. They do that for all the animals that pass on. My living cats are well taken care of, and they even have reduced prices on vaccines on Mondays. If there were more stars, I would give them, but I trust them with my animals and that alone says it all.
Done a wonderful job with my dog name Leo are always polite, will always take Leo back to get the help that he needs when he needs it
They are all wonderful people at the VCA
