I understand that this is a business and VCA needs to make money but a lil humanity dosen't kill anyone. I couldn't afford a $400 lab test. I repeatedly mention that my financial situation is not good at this moment. Still No One CARED. Either you do the test or no more medication. Well what I'm i Supposed to do?? Go rob so i can afford a lab test for medications shes been on for 2 years?? A real vet that cares for this pets would have offer other alternatives and Would have understand that not everyone can afford to pay for pet care. Never again with VCA... Move Out Of CT If You Want A Better Life And Better Care For Your Pets... MA Is Best.

After being treated poorly at another veterinary practice, in Rocky Hill, I brought my very sick cat to VCA, East Hartford. Everyone was wonderful to both of us. I cannot speak highly enough about the professional, compassionate, respectful care. My cat recovered and I will take my pets there from now on.

I bring my cat to be groomed here, the first time I had no issues. The second time one of the girls was kindly telling me my cat was sort of a hand full when another employee jumped in and told her to stop lying, that my cat was awful and he would need sedation next time. I paid 64.00$ to have my cat bathed and shaved. I could of shaved my cat better,not to mention since he has been home he is jumpy when he is out in view, and spends most of his time hiding from us. He was never like this, it leads me to question what happened.

This is the worst place and worst staff i visited first with my cat doing grooming first time .what they do listen i drop my cat cat morining around 8.30 am and after receiving call at 1.30 i go pick my cat .he is in the cage i dont know how long when i bring home he is limping his back leg limping and call them Amanda pickup phone and she say someone call you tommorow today is third day nobody call me so pls dont take ur pet there they cruel people.

VCA got me in with only a 24 hours notice. The staff is extremely friendly, welcoming, accommodating and professional. The receptionist in particular was exceptional and scheduled my dog for her dental cleaning/surgery very quickly with a very reasonable estimate. Dr. Mac was friendly and showed genuine concern for my dog. I recommend VCA East Hartford very highly!!

Had reason to bring our 2 dogs to Dr. "Mac". There are very few Vets that will get down on the floor and spend almost a full HOUR examining, explaining and answering every question we had. I haven't met a vet like him and we've had dogs at various vets for 35 years. He didn't try to sell us this test or that vaccine. To the contrary because of the types of dogs we have and their environment he actually saved us plenty of money. I couldn't recommend Dr. Mac more highly!

Terrible place! Only one good veterinarian and that one is now gone. Over priced, don't fall for the puppy care pack!!!! They will automatically enroll you for the Adult care pack even if you opt out before hand! They have rude receptionist and could careless about your pet! They don't understand large to extra large breed dogs and will over vaccinate your pet in one stop! You are getting ripped off royally on the medications and costs of vaccines to begin with! Never ever again.

My vet of 30 yrs contracted with the VCA which is why I take my cats there. The prices are high for some things, the staff are great & the other vets are compassionate & caring, except one...but I guess there's one of those everywhere unfortunately. Overall it's a good place!
