We have been bringing our dog to Sand Road for 11 years now. They have several vets on staff and it matters not which you see, their all AWESOME. Same for the vet technicians and office staff. All knowledgeable, courteous, and respectful. Just great people. On Wednesday night our dog was showing signs of not being well. We called the office at 8am Thursday, and were in the office at 9:10am. (talk about great service) She received treatment, and was already doing much better when we got home that morning. Early Friday afternoon the Vet Technician called to see how she was doing. Later that evening, the Vet called to check on her. And she was doing MUCH better. How could anyone possibly ask for a more professional and conscientious company to do business with??? And if our dog could talk, she'd say the same.

My cat was terribly abused by these people. I live in the local area, and have spoken to others who though the same when they took their pet. I took my cat in for some tests, and had to leave him, but when i picked him up he was so traumatized he didn't recognize me, and was curled up in his crate with his pupils so dilated and he hissed and tried to attack me. This is a cat i had for 17 year and was the sweetest thing you could imagine, not only was he socialized, but he was trained as well. You could tell he was abused. A pet parent just knows these things. The staff was rude and cold. I would never take my pet here again and I implore you, please do not take your pet here, because you'll never be able to get the images of the terror on your pets face out of your mind for as long as you live. I hate these people. and I hope they get closed down for what they did to him.

Brought in my dog . Some small skin growths to be removed. Young female vet and assistant climbing all over the dog on the floor. Mentioned it looked unprofessional why not a table to examine on since the issue was underneath ? Simple procedure would have been almost $1000 if I went their route. Nurse Rachet came in, was obnoxious. Doctor never finished exam or answered questions. Our canine friends don't last forever but vet med has become like people med. with evasive operations , endless lab testing. Even Chemo. Having the guts to do the right thing is what matters. Not spending a fortune to prolong the inevitable . The staff may not agree w me but should respect other's opinions.

This is a place where the staff truly loves animals -- and the animals can really tell. Several vets, all caring and very competent. Wonderful boarding and doggie daycare, plus grooming and a store for pet food and supplies.

I was very impressed with the facilities and the friendly staff. However, when I picked up my dog I was very disappointed. I had paid for a wash and he was full of mud on his paws and chest. He had also been left zipped up inside his carrier for too long as the evidence showed because he chewed his way out of it in frustration. He also chewed his bedding. This has never happened before as I have never left him inside for more than a couple of hours. There was no need to keep him zipped up inside his crate as he was inside the locked kennels anyway. Very disappointing!

Sand Road Animal Hospital is the most caring, most professional, most accommodating, nurturing and thorough Veterinary practice I have ever known. I have lived in 8 different states (HI, WA, CA, GA, VT, MA, CT, NY) and had Veterinarians in every one. I have also been to several Vets around this tri-state area and none of them have been able to compare to the outstanding quality animal healthcare as Sand Road. The Vets and staff are also very pet-parent friendly, they communicate in very gentle, loving, yet professional terms, and I trust them 100%. I have been a client of theirs for 15 years now and I travel an hour each way to get there. Through their guidance and services I have become a better parent to my pets as I have learned a great deal from them and feel very emotionally supported by them in addition to my pets being kept in excellent health! Dr. Dave Sandefer is one of the finest human beings on the Earth and his light radiates outward to everyone and everything around him. If we have more human beings like him, this whole Earth will become a garden of health and happiness.

Sand Road Animal Hospital offers the best service and expertise I can imagine. My 8 year old cat Max was very sick and previous vets had been unable to come up with proper treatment. Dr Stephanie at Sand Road has offered him a combination of Chinese herbs, acupuncture, western medicine, and lots of loving care. The entire staff at Sand Road is outstanding, with superb expertise and an inviting atmosphere. Max is much much better!

Sand Road, David S. and associates, have been taking care of my dogs since 1990, and are now taking care of my third dog. I'm living in the Boston area now, but spend several days a month near Sand Road Animal Hospital, so Sand Road is still my primary vet. I took my Corgi mix, who just turned 2, to be spayed at Sand Road when she was a puppy instead of having it done by my vet in Boston because Sand Road is absolutely the best and the prices aren't over the top (like they are in Boston). I just can't say enough about them. Dr. Kline is amazing, the assistants are amazing. I feel as if I should stop gushing, but I actually feel happy when I walk into the waiting area and over to the desk. OK. Over and out. But you get my point.

Their hours are great, the facility is always clean and it is beautiful, the costs are fair, but best of all the staff is fantastic. Even though it is about a 35-40 minute drive from our house, I wouldn't go anywhere else. They treat your animal like their own, you can really tell that everybody working their really love animals.

My most recent appt was with a vet tech who would administer a monthly B-12 injection for my 18 yrold cat, weigh him and clip his nails. All happened without delay Pete (the cat) seemed fine with the process. I count on Sand Road in Ct and my 'primary vet' in NYC to tend to my 2 Siamese. Sand Road is the perfect complement to the primary vet...all the facilities and expertise and efficiency one could hope for. Easy to arrange appts and everyone who's met my cats Pete and Sparky like them and vice versa --- all good.

I have a cat that was peeing blood and straining to pee. I took him to the vet immediately and they told me he had crystals in his urine. Sent me home with some antibiotics and specialized cat food. He kept having the same problem. 4 trips later and HUNDRES of dollars and still nothing. Took him to another vet, no crystals apparently he is sensitive to food changes.... Sand road took my wallet for a wild ride for absolutely nothing.
