I brought my rescue to this vet after hearing good reviews and was not disappointed! Dr. McNamara was really good with her even though she she was a complete nervous wreck. The Dr. and vet tech were fabulous in helping to calm my dog down, administer shots, and explain everything to me in a way that I can understand. If you want a vet where everyone truley cares about your animal health, comfort level, and happiness then this is a great place to consider.

I've only been there once with a friend to get his puppy vaccinated and let me tell you the employees are very kind and helpful. They all love dogs very much and we very sweet to Dutchess to make her trip to the vet worry free! I would reccomend this office to anyone they also have a little part in the waiting room where you can let your pup off the leash for a bit!

My Cali had a unilateral thyroidectomy and all of my questions were answered by the staff...they are considerate to animal and parent needs!! I will say this; the facility is clean and the staff are overall friendly/knowledgeable. My dog was previously a patient of Dr. Wolfe, who was very good doctor from my experience. However, this facility's prices are out of line, completely outrageous. If you make good money and are willing to pay for these overpriced services, by all means.. this is the place for you and your pet(s). But, if you are like myself and can't afford to pay three times as much for the same services/customer service you could find elsewhere, this is NOT the vet office for you and your pet(s).

I have been a client since 1973 and Salmon Brook is treating my 7th dog. I drive half an hour for each appointment, passing numerous vets along the way, but I've been so pleased with the service and communication that I'd never think of changing. Four vets have retired, but the new hires don't miss a beat in terms of knowledge, compassion, and support. Dr. Violette remembers all of my dogs by name, which is incredible considering how many dogs he treats. I love the dogs, the services, the grooming, and the boarding. Great all around service.

My visit was all around fantastic. Every staff member I talked to from the person who greeted me when entering to the doctor, were all very kind. They answered all my questions with very knowledgeable answers and patience. I felt like I understood what was happening and what I could do very clearly. When I picked up my cat at the end of the day, the office had a lot of people but the staff still talked to each person with kindness and a willingness to give them all the time they needed. I didn't feel rushed or like a bother at all, which is very refreshing and nice these days. The staff was very caring towards my cat and I felt like she was safe there. She looks very nice from her grooming and is no longer sick. With all the things my cat needed to get done, I was very scared of the price, but it was surprisingly reasonable and very fair. I was happy with every aspect of this visit. The waiting room was comfy and clean. It was great! I will go back. They do all the big things right, and all the little things that make it above and beyond. I've already recommended it to others.

We have been using Salmon Brook Veterinary Hospital for almost 30 years. We have had cats up until a year ago when we acquired a new puppy. The care and compassion given has been truly remarkable especially when our last cat passed away very suddenly with a thyroid condition. Salmon Brook really helped us through this very sad experience. We now have a puppy and Salmon Brook is taking the best of care with him. His visits have been just the best. The atmosphere is just the right mix of friendly, caring and efficiently professional. I was pleasantly surprised at the reasonable fee, especially since this was for urgent care. I will definitely go back to Salmon Brook.

Front desk staff are polite, pleasant, and helpful, and there are late afternoon and weekend hours, which is VERY convenient. Dr McNamara is everything I could ever wish for in a vet. She's knowledgeable, honest, professional, and more genuine and compassionate than most people-doctors- if she were a pediatrician and I had children, they would see her. Many of these reviews mention SBV's prices, but the office staff is always willing to work out payment plans with you. Even if they weren't able to do that, I would pay near any amount to keep my pets with Dr McNamara.

I have been going to Salmon Brook Veterinary Hospital for years and have had no problems with them. Sure, the prices can be on the high side, but they are practically everywhere you go when it comes to medical care for your pet. Your pets count on you to give them the best medical care possible, and, once you're an established customer here, you can pay on a plan that fits your budget. And even though they have a plethora of vets on staff, you can find the one that clicks with you and your pet. My personal choice is Dr. Wolfe - she makes our visits pleasant and she makes my dog feel right at home, which is very important. In fact, the entire staff is friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. I can count on anyone there to answer my questions, 7 days a week!!

My wife and I can't say enough about this place. Every doctor here has been great with both of our dogs. The current one being a 12 lb Jack Russell Chihuahua mix that was a rescue and is not great with new people or other dogs. They are always very thorough with her but as gentle as possible. I should also mention that the staff is very warm and caring. If we moved an hour away I would still go to this veterinarian clinic. If you're looking for vet I think this one is well worth checking out.... Sidenote my last name is the last name of one of the doctors we are not related in any way.

We've been taking our pets (dog and cat) here for about 7 years. The medical, front desk, and kennel staff always make us feel welcome and that they care about our pets. I never feel silly asking the veterinarian questions and the receptionists are always accommodating. I like that my pets can use the kennel either for short stays or before/after their appointments. The services, hours, and location are convenient and I find the staff friendly and caring toward me and my animals. It is a very clean and organized facility as well. Some people have mentioned prices are high, and I will admit this is the only veterinarian office I've ever used so I can't compare. But, it works for me so I give it 5 stars!

Dr. Groshek has been our vet for more than 20 years and during those years he has provided EXCEPTIONAL care to our furr-people. He is incredibly knowledgeable and stays current in all areas of vet medicine. He has saved the lives of several of our furry ones by rapidly diagnosing and treating some very rare diseases. We hate to think what would've happened if we hadn't gone to someone like Dr. Groshek who has never missed a diagnosis (which says a lot given the rare nature of several diseases). We trust him implicitly! Most recently, his caring and dedication to our beloved Standard Poodle, Laverne, made all the difference as we fought a rare cancer. Dr. Groshek researched the treatment protocols for her cancer, and then worked side-by-side with us as Laverne went through five rounds of chemotherapy and surgery. Ultimately, through Dr. Groshek's dedication, we had our Vernie with us for another 14 blessed months. We thank God for Dr. Groshek, and we give our highest regard and recommendations.
