Had an emergency with my cat but had no regular veterinarian to take them to. After calling around to other animal hospitals I was told I might have to travel hours away to find emergency care. Fortunately Norwichtown Veterinary Hospital was local and got my cat in that day and gave them the care they needed to get through their problem .Great service.

This vet saved my cat! I had brought my cat to VCA in Plainfield and they misdiagnosed him and could care less about his health, never followed up on him and Putnam vet refused to see him because they “couldn’t fit him in”. Dr. Satterfield got me in immediately it took him less than 5 minutes to figure out my cat was blocked and needed to be treated immediately! He stayed with them and when I got him back a few days later he was the happiest and healthiest I’ve ever seen him. He had a small issue after the procedure and they took him right back in and made sure he got the treatment he needed and now he is amazing. I recommend EVERYONE to bring their animal there!!

Our buddy, Leo got very sick really fast. His face swelled up so quickly and he was clearly in pain. Our regular vet was not accommodating and actually told us to call another vet. We did and Norwichtown Veterinary Hospital got us in immediately. They were unbelievably quick and attentive. Leo was put on medications and recovered to what was determined a spider bite. I have recommended them to many of my friends. FANTASTIC.

Our dog Rosie encountered an issue with tea tree oil that actually poisoned her. Desperate to find a local veterinarian at 11 at night was rough most times you have to go out of town long distance. I hope my review can help others pick the right vet. My first visit to the vet was great i had met with a female vet very kind. Now the next week I saw my puppy wasn’t doing ok so I called to make an appointment the following day. I walk in and I’m not assisted by the same women but now it’s male vet ( no problem) except he made me feel so uncomfortable right away and on top of that I felt judged by everything that came out of my mouth. He gave my puppy some lab tests but didn’t explain what was being done at the time I had to ask all the questions about what exactly was being done. I got a high bill which I didn’t mind paying except I thought they would give more details on what just happened or give my puppy something to make him feel better or recommend something by the symptoms I gave them already but no anyways I received a call from the male vet saying what they found in my puppies test but that’s it ?? No explanation I had to call the office where the women vet I originally had explained exactly what those tests meant and what they did and everything I needed to know about my puppy and why maybe he wasn’t feeling right. Wish I would of stuck with her but that male vet made me so uncomfortable felt like he was going by the books if that makes sense and I’m looking for someone who goes by the books but also is going to be honest and caring about my fur baby. Anyways he never called back to check on my puppy for a following appointment. Usually they do a follow up right ? I mean that’s what my new vet does anyways. But anyways turned out my puppy was absolutely fine and I’m glad I didn’t follow up on appointments there. So if you’re looking to just get the basic shots sure go here but if you’re looking for a vet who will give your fur baby the attention it really needs when things go wrong, I wouldn’t recommend.

I can't say enough about how nice everyone there was. The doctor was honest and very comforting and gave me options. He gave me time to cry when I knew my kitty wasn't going to be coming home with me. He told me about my pricing options for cremating her and keeping/not keeping ashes. All around, very respectful and very professional.

After a stressful couple of days, we had an amazing experience at Norwichtown Vet! They assured us of a false diagnosis and treated our dog with respect and comfort! Dr Geoffrey Satterfield and the staff were personable and easy going! Dr Satterfield even gave us his personal cell phone number to keep him posted on the status of our dog. Prices are definitely reasonable and they accept care-credit! I most definitely recommend this vet!!! We will be using this vet for future visits!

I've been bringing my animals to Norwichtown Veterinary Hospital for more than 15 years. Dr. Satterfield and Dr. Pacheco are very knowledgeable and the staff is always helpful and accommodating. I feel that my animals are very well cared for and I always have my questions answered before I leave there. One of my cats has high anxiety and he is handled in such a way that always calms him, which is wonderful! All of the staff goes above and beyond and truly cares about my animal's well-being. I highly recommend NVH!!!

Great place. My cat hurt his tail and I thought it was paralyzed. I think I was more upset about it than my cat. But the vet explained it great. And my cat had an exam. Hes very healthy. The tail is now in better shape too. Although not 100% yet. But better each day. And I'm not worried anymore.

Dr Satterfield and his staff are very knowledgeable and caring. We were concerned when Dr Crockett sold her business not knowing what the new Dr. would be like. Upon meeting Dr. Satterfield those fears quickly vanished. Our Jack Russell Terrier had been fighting diabetes and cushings for over two years. Dr. Satterfield and his staff treated him with great compassion and concern and extended the same to my husband and I. We sent Petie on to heaven in October 2016. Dr. Satterfield explained all of our options but agreed that it was time to let him go. Dr. Satterfield and his staff are number one in our book we would never consider bringing our pets anywhere else.

NVH was recommended by a VET in our family and have been taking care of my Cavalier King Charles, Zeke, since we brought him home at 8 weeks old. They have been wonderful. This Hospital is staffed by friendly and knowledgeable animal lovers. Zeke was recently neutered and had a microchip implanted. NVH did a great job and kept me informed before, during, and after the procedure. When you call you never get the "what do you want" attitude, always friendly and helpful answers to your questions. When I walk Zeke he always wags his tail as we pass by NVH and he has to go to the door even when they are closed. This tells me that Zeke is very comfortable there and I know he loves the staff. Thank You NVH.

This office was so fantastic when our 18 year old cat became very ill, and we needed to put him down at 8pm on a Sunday night. We called all over and no office was open. We called norwichtown veterinary hospital and the veterinarian met us at the office and helped us in a horrible situation. Everyone was so kind. We since have gone this week for a cat with an ear infection and they did everything they could to help him, while keeping it cost effective for us. Great service, and now our veterinarian. And our cat is doing great!!

I have been bringing babies to Norwichtown Vet for many years. I was initially pleased when Dr Satterfield took over. Since a new vet has been added, things have changed, as they tend to do at other vets I have been to. I called today, all new staff apparently, and asked if one of my dogs could be seen this afternoon and I was told nothing was available until early tomorrow morning. My dog has been crying on and off all day with some kind of skin issue and I explained that but it didn't matter, apparently. On their website, it says they "squeeze" in patients. Not this one, they didn't! I am extremely disappointed and unsatisfied!

I have been taking my dogs to Norwichtown Veterinary Hospital going all the way back to Dr Outwater in the 1960's. My dogs have always been treated with compassion and the best of care. We needed to bring our cat in for an emergency visit, as we were leaving the next day for a week of volunteering and wouldn't be able to bring her later. Our regular vet couldn't get us in. Norwichtown Vet had a full schedule but squeezed us in anyway. We were seen promptly and were able to make sure out kitty was okay before leaving for a week. The vet was great and he even called to check up on our kitty. Thank you Norwichtown Veterinary Hospital!

Dr. Crockett is a kind and compassionate person who took her time with me and my questions and concerns. She knew immediately my 17.5 y.o. cat was dehydrated, where my other vet didn't seem to know or care, when I would mention doing fluids twice a week, to at least start. Dr. Crockett suggested putting Louis on fluids and what a difference it has made in this cat. Her staff is very kind and caring also. They take their time with you and make you feel important. This was my first time there but it will not be my last. So very hard to find truly caring vets, in my opinion, who aren't out for the buck or have become desensitized.

I had an emergency on a weekend in the evening.I called Norwichtown Vet and they responded quickly.I met Dr.Pacheco at the office within10-15 minutes of my call.My cat had an ultrasound and bladder stones were seen.He was placed on meds and new food etc.Had a follow up visit and stones were not present. The cost of the emergency was not outrageous.I highly recommend.

Staff & Vet services are very friendly. I believe for the required desk fee or “quick physical exam fee” is a little high considering some exams can be rushed and not very thorough. However, I know the vets and vet. techs genuinely care about their patients. Parking is available in the rear & can be tight, there are also 4-5 spots in the front.

I brought my cat Ace to Norwichtown Veterinary Hospital on a Friday,he was not feeling well, crying loudly, not eating and vomiting. They told me to bring him right in and the doctor examined him and said he had a blockage in his bladder and needed to stay there over the weekend. I was very upset as I do not have the money and was afraid of losing my baby! Thankfully I was able to come up with a plan for the money and after being assured that he would be okay I left him. The staff there were very compassionate and caring and made sure to call me over the weekend and keep me updated with his care and how he was doing. I picked him up on Monday and he was looking and acting so much better. I am so happy that I called them on Friday and know that they genuinely love and care for the animals they serve and will bring all of my pets to them because its nice to deal with such compassionate and caring people! Thank you to the staff and doctors at the Norwichtown Veterinary Hospital for taking care of my baby!
