I love the people at this vet hospital! Everyone is truly dedicated to animals.They treat my pets like royalty and they offer a reasonable package that covers all the testing, de-worming and vaccinations needed for a new pet baby, as well as a discount when they're ready to be spayed or neutered. I highly recommend this hospital.

I honestly can't even articulate the words to describe my love and appreciation for the doctors and staff here. We rushed our ferret Bear in to discover he was gravely ill. Sadly, his illness was very advanced & his chances of recovery slim, but they did absolutely everything in their power to try to save him, truly going above and beyond. We ultimately had to say goodbye to our sweet boy at another emergency vet clinic later that night...but even then, our vet, Dr. Shemer reached out to us to extend his condolences when he heard. The folks at NWAH treated us and Bear like family, and that is something we will never forget or be able to adequately thank them for. They will be our vet for all our future fuzzy babies.

I started bringing my 8 week old White Pug to them a little over a year ago. From then we added a Rescue Pit Bull mix to our family and we bring Him there. They ( The Dogs) love going to see the Doctors and Helpers there. North Windham Animal Hospital is such a caring loving place. They make my FUR_CHILDREN feel special and clam my nerves down when I need to be. We just can not say enough about how good they are.

Love this vet clinic! I may be biased since I know someone who works here, but I am a big fan of Dr Shemer! He is a great vet, surgeon, and has gone above and beyond the call of duty to take great care of my pets--including squeezing my pets in for last minute appointments when needed. Definitely recommend North Windham Animal Hospital!

I brought my dog Jackson, a Tibetan Spaniel there and after he had lived with my parents for a few years I finally was able to get him back. My dad took care of him always, but after he died nobody brushed and groomed him and I had a lot of concerns and questions. Everyone there was very helpful and considerate! The vet and the nurse both reassured me that everything is fine and Jackson is in good health! Now he is up to date on his shots and the anxiety of worrying about him have settled, thanks to North Windham Animal Hospital! Thank you!

very disappointed my shitzu is still suffering of an ear infection because this office after almost 6-8 month of trying to figure out whats wrong with my dog finally the vet tells me to pretty much go elsewhere cause they tried everything they could and they cant figure it out..They took my money fo almost 8 months and my dog is worse and i dont think this is right at all..so disapointed STAY AWAY

I have been going to this vet since I moved to Connecticut about 5 years ago. Despite moving, I still travel 45 minutes to stay at this clinic. The technicians on staff are amazing. They go the extra mile and make sure my pets are well taken care of an comfortable. Eran Shemer DVM is also a truly excellent veterinarian. From the first appointment it was clear how much he truly cares about the furry members of our family.

Dr Shemer is one heck of a vet!! We were unsure if my cat would be able to keep his leg after being hit by a car, him included. He performed surgery and my baby boy is doing great!! Needless to say, he kept his leg. 3 weeks since surgery and he's already running, playing, and being a kitty again. We can't thank the staff there enough for their care of Bandit.

I've never seen a more compassionate and qualified animal hospital. Starting with Rue the greeter rescue cat who seemed to soothe my bandit telling him it would be OK to doctor Schemer who performed a surgical miracle making it possible for bandit to keep his leg to the techs in the office all of whom were so kind. I can't say enough!

So, I went there bc my usual vet, whom i like, does not accept carecredit, and I have 3 animals. There is a plethora of reasons why I will not return there; the first and foremost being that I spent over a thousand dollars on this one visit for my animals (which I expected), and they had the nerve to charge me for a nail trim and anal gland expression for my dog, which I DID NOT request. I can do both of those things on my dog by myself at home, why would I pay 45$ for it? They also charged me for the nail trims on my cats, which i did request, but when you are spending over 1000$ in one visit, it seems tacky to charge for that. I did bloodwork on all three of my animals, and never recieved any phone calls as to whether or not the bloodwork is fine or not, for all I know my cats could both be in kidney failure and I would still be in the dark about it. Finally, my cat needs prescription food, and when I attempted to order it online (which I have done for many years), I was told that this veterinarian does not work with 3rd parties. So when I called to get a script e-mailed to me, I was put on hold FOUR times, and had to repeat my request each time. Really wish I hadn't have come here, next vet visit will DEFINITELY be with another vet.

BEST HOSPITAL EVER ..my rocky is well taken care of Dr shimmer is the BEST OF THE BEST n the staff is SUPER DUPER AMAZING...i recommended a few friends who still go there n love the way they're treated n the care that's given to there pets...

A little more expensive for office visits, but WELL worth it!!!! I had a 13 yr old cat that my previous vet kept trying to treat abscesses. I took "Captain" to North Windham Animal Hospital for a second opinion, come to find out, he had a cancer that causes abscesses. The staff at North Windham Animal Hospital are very caring and supportive when it comes to treatments and procedures with your "furkids". The follow up visit after lancing an abscess and getting stitches was free. I made the tough, good for Captain's welfare, decision to euthanize him. I had him cremated and got a photo frame urn for him. The staff was very sympathetic and sent me Captain's pawprint in a plaster of paris casting. I switched Vets because North Windham Animal Hospital has better hours than my previous vet, seem to know a little more, and though I am interested in other pet stories- they concentrate on my pet first, then share. They also find time to get my baby in to clip his nails because he won't let me do it. My 10 year old boy seems to have bad teeth issues. After removing a few teeth, I received a free bag of oral care food and the follow up exam was free. (I don't know if it was already included in the initial charge) This facility also accepts Care Credit (AWESOME to have as long as you read the fine print and pay on time)
