WHAT A SERVICE! These group of people make you feel super comfortable while they take care of your puppy. I wish we can have this service and treatment in our "human health system". Unreal.

Susan Bellamy

Everyone is always wonderful to both me and my dogs. They all know them by name and treat them as their own.

I just wanted to say a very heart felt thank you to Dr. Pia and the amazing staff who took fabulous care of my kittens today! Thank you making their visit such a wonderful experience! The receptionist and the tech in the front were so warm and inviting and really made feel comfortable today. I do highly recommend them!

I have been truly blessed to have found this place. There is no other place in Danbury, CT that would ever treat your pet like their own. They are genuine, respectful, never over charge you, and truly care about not only your pet, but how you are as the owner. Sadly, I am moving to another state and will have an extremely hard time finding a vet that fills their shoes. Their staff is one of a kind, there aren't enough words to describe how much I cherish this place. They have become family for me and my animals (and not in a bad way haha). Thank you Noah's Ark, you are 100% the model for what a Vet Hospital is suppose to be like.

just me

So pleased with Noah's Ark Animal Hospital in Danbury. I actually come from NY to have my puppy Daisy cared for by Dr. Pia and staff. Everyone is so friendly, particularly Missy at the front desk. What a fantastic way to start your visit by her greeting! Dr. Pia is terrific, knowledgeable and just plain kind. You can tell this office loves animals and is not snooty in nature. Dr. Pia gives you her time and you never feel rushed. She actually gave me what she referred to as "the puppy talk" - terrific orientation of puppy care and how to establish good practices and routines with my puppy. I have had several dogs over my lifetime and NEVER had that kind of thorough discussion and that degree of time taken with me. I was blown away. Veterinary care the way it is supposed to be = Noahs Ark Animal Hospital in Danbury CT. PS. The prices are very fair considering what I have paid at other places. Another thing I thought was incredible - Daisy recently got spayed and the price was VERY inexpensive compared to other dogs I have gotten spayed years before! They discount spay/neuter services as their way of encouraging responsible pet ownership and helping to eliminate the over population of companion animals. I think that is so terrific. Where do you see a vet office setting this kind of example? Amazing! Highly recommend! Pamela R.

I have been coming to Dr. Pia and Noah’s Ark Animal Hospital for over 10 years now with my pets. Dr. Pia is by far one of the most professional, thorough and truly caring veterinarians I have ever met. Even after 20+ years of practice she hasn’t lost her love for animals which I have found from other practices and vets. She has cared for 3 dogs and 4 cats for me. On countless occasions she has gone out of her way to call me after hours for a problem, follow up on my millions of test result questions, make recommendations on every aspect of my animals care and treatment. She goes out of her way to make cost effective recommendations and realistic treatment suggestions. When I rescued a kitten with FIV that ultimately had to be put down she called me every day to check in. If anything she cares too deeply for each and every one of her patients. When we moved 40 minutes away she made house calls and accommodated appointments. The front desk staff and vet techs are always friendly and responsive. I would literally not take my pets anywhere else as I would never find another vet or practice more dedicated to my animals care.

I love Dr P. Good common sense vet with lots of experience. Been going here for 12 years various vets always good service and no BS.

Had a great experience at Noah's Ark today. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. Waiting for my Lab's ears to get better now with the medication!

Alice Sicconi

I will always be incredibly grateful to Noah's Ark for rescuing my lost kitty Tuffo (aka Billy) and taking care of him until we found our way back to each other. I now take him as well as my two other kitties to Dr. Pia. One of them has always been extremely difficult to handle, and she and her assistants do a great job with him! Also, everyone who works there is always so friendly and helpful - I can't recommend them enough!

Patricia Monaco

Great staff! Very helpful and warm.

The staff are all wonderful. When you arrive you don't feel the doom and gloom like you do other hospitals. They also address any and all questions and concerns you have. They really Make you feel at ease with your 4 legged family member.

I have this vet for more than three years and I like this place and services. I boarded my pet there too and they took good care of him. So I recommend this vet.

Our family will continue to do everything we can to spare another family from the absolute sorrow we are going through. Dr Pia recommended dental cleaning for our beautiful healthy dog Zach. Someone turned up the anesthesia to more than double and she has stated “no one will fess up”. We were not called when our Zach had to be given chest compressions to be brought back to life. We were told at 4:00 to pick him up at 5 as he was “ready”. Waited in the waiting room 40 minutes. Was then told by Dr Pia we should bring Zach to the hospital to be “monitored”. There was no monitoring. We transported Zach to the hospital ourselves. The hospital said he was in critical condition. They felt he suffered a stroke. They showed us x-rays showing his brain swollen and one lung collapsed. Two hours later he passed away. We can only hope our beautiful, kind, gentle soul Zach died so other animals don’t.

I have always had a great experience at Noah's Ark. Whether it be health care needs or boarding the staff is professional and loving with "Reggie" my beagle. He especially loves the techs who take care of him for boarding and baths. Vet care was readily available when he was sick which made for a quick recovery! As Reggie is part of our family I trust them and highly recommend Noah's Ark for all pet care needs!

Nik Mische

Amazing place for your pets. Will even board pets if you're busy!

Terrible bad and dishonest people, the vets are only care about money and trying to charge you the most, instead of taking care of your pet. Administration office has dreadful treatment. They do business with animal health.

I cannot begin to tell you how upset and disgusted I am with Noah's Ark Veterinary Hospital in Danbury, CT. I wanted to adopt a cat that was in a cage at the office. I held him and fell in love with him. I spoke to the staff and gave them my contact information as they requested. I was put on a wait list but only one person was ahead of me. I called for 3 days to find out the status of the adoption. I was given different responses from the staff. One person said that I was going to be offered the adoption and to call back the next day as the person who is handling the adoption was not in. I called the next day and they said, again, she still wasn't in but to call back early the following morning. So I called the next morning and was informed that I could not adopt this beautiful little boy because I wasn't a "client." Are you kidding me? That little guy was in their office for several months and you are going to deny him to someone who wants to take him home and provide him with love and care? I have NEVER heard of such a thing. Then the vet doctor called my friend who asked to speak with him about this because she couldn't get over the fact that the staff could be so misleading and misinformed. All the vet was interested in was recouping the expenses for this little guy; the boarding, food, exams, shots, etc. Gee, I thought you took care of him because you love animals. How do you expect to recoup the $800+ from a client? By charging him or her more money every time they brought the cat in for a visit? What happened to caring about animals and doing what's best for them? Obviously, Noah's Ark lost sight of what's important. How sad. These veterinary offices make plenty of money. How dare you be so self absorbed and worry about "recouping the expenses" for this sweet animal! I am so sad and livid at the same time. They should be ashamed of themselves and the staff needs to get their information straight so they don't mislead anyone in the future.

Nicole Kende

Horrible AWFUL people work here, if you care about your animals life I would ABSOLUTELY not recommend!!!!!

John Teagart

The WORST "vet' in the area. They over charged me, they have no idea how to diagnose anything. The "vets" are an absolute joke! Plus the girls in the front are just rude miserable people to deal with. I wish i could give negative 5 stars.

We take our puppy Sadie to Noah's Ark and have always had a great experience. The front desk staff is helpful and friendly, and Dr. Grader is so knowledgeable and helpful!

I brought my girls Tony and Kemba here for a year, and TOTALLY regret it! After bringing Kemba to a REAL VET I found out she had a heart murmur, and Noah's Ark missed it on EVERY visit we had with them. Its not like it just appeared, i went to a real vet a week after this excuse for a Veterinary clinic. I always knew they over charged (like 40-50% more than i am paying my real vet now), and the vets always seemed somewhat ignorant, so its my own fault for exposing my dogs to these horrible people. Please don't do the same!

Louise Barbaro

So gentle and kind to our new kitten. So grateful for their service. Thanks to Dr Leitner, Dr Pia, and wonderful caring staff!

Love it

Zach Molinaro

Wonderful, loving and knowledgeable staff. Truly passionate about animal care and knowledgeable/professional in every way. Both we and our puppy love going to the vet!

Chloe Tashjian Soares

Horrible, horrible excuse for animal care. Our entire neighborhood was made aware of the recent death of a beloved dog from our neighborhood (whom everyone knows and loves) who came in for a 'simple' dental procedure and was left in the most horrific state leading to death after your team's accidental dosage of the wrong level of anesthesia. Beyond this, your refusal to immediately tell the family and provide timely emergent care to an animal who was sitting in the most horrific state in your facility wimpering through unbelievable and unnecessary pain and suffering is astonishing. People need to know what is happening at this facility and RUN away if they care for their animals at all. Disgusting is the only word I can come up with after hearing this heartbreaking story that has us all in tears.

Bear Sayer

Excellent veterinarian Hospital! It is a stress free environment for the animals that are always very well cared for! The staff is very helpful, friendly and informative.

My pup Enzo first came to Noah's Ark about 18 months ago and has had several visits and checkups since. I used to go to Bethel Vet but it was too far to consider maintaining that relationship. I needed something close. Noah's Ark was recommended by a friend and indeed I have been very pleased with the care and attention he and I have received. The Dr Grader is terrific as are all those that treat the dogs...including the receptionists. They love animals and know who I am as soon as I walk through the door and know Enzo by name. It's a pleasure with every visit. jj

Dr Pia is fantastic, she is very knowledgeable and attentive to us and our pets.

My husband brought our puppy here and told me he didnt feel comfortable with Dr. Pia so we switched vets. I'm really glad he listened to his gut especially after what happened to that poor yorkie, an animal shouldn't be left to suffer. So sick

Coco Chanel

I brought my 1 year old toy yorkie here because he was running and holding up one of his back legs. The great thing is he is fine just a minor joint issue little dogs get but the staff was by far amazing!! The front receptionist was very pleasant, Vera was awesome and the doctor was super sweet, kind and most of all knowledgeable on the situation. I appreciate everyone’s help!

Lindsay Rizzuto

I am very heartbroken to read about the death of the Yorkie, Zach, which was due to the negligence of the doctors at this place. Please don’t take your animals here.

This place is always amazing! The staff is amazing and the facility is great! I have been going to Noah's Ark for 15 years and my pets and I have been treated like family from the first day! From the receptionist to the kennel staff and of course the Veterinarians I always get greeted with a smile and they always remember my pets names and my family's first names! I can't give enough praise to the Noah's Ark staff for all that they have done for me throughout the time I have been going to them!

DeDe Doe

I've gone here a few times with my dog, and every time we've had to wait at least 20-30 minutes when it seems that the staff is just chit chatting amongst themselves about tv shows and the like. Their prices seem very high compared to others in the area, especially given the lack of customer attention. Vets need to put prices online and transparent. I won't be bringing my dog there again. *If you work with animals and humans the #1 rule is pay attention to the customer!* I've also heard bad things about their affiliated dog boarding farm, Rickety Hill Farm (Ridgebury Rd, Ridgefield, CT) from friends who have used them. I've been lucky enough to find a great overnight dog sitter in the area, so no need for them!

Horrible staff and vets, especially Dr Hushber, the guy who owns this place along with the one in Salem, their sister location. They over vaccinated my dog, failed to address it, neglected to ask and review paperwork in its entirety, and failed to give us an adequate solution. We waited over two weeks for a proper phone call and it's still not resolved. This place is not acknowledging their negligence either. Don't go here if you care about your beloved pets and don't want them over vaccinated-where they are treated as a bill rather than a living breathing entity! Additionally, the staff threatened to hang up on me after I pointed out that they were giving me an attitude over the phone.

Love this place, the assistant help me out to figure out whose my dog previous vet.

HORRIBLE. Go to new milford animal clinic, or anywhere else but this place. They are more obsessed over how you're going to pay for your pets services than they are about the pet itself. I went in to bring my cat and the receptionist Christine was WONDERFUL. She was the only thing wonderful about my entire experience. I had adopted my cat a week before, so there was some confusion about what the shelter was going to cover. The vet tech came in and said to me, as I was trying to figure out what the shelter covered, 'look I have a room full of other patients, I don't have time for this" incredibly rude. The vet himself was stranger than ever, made no small talk, assessed the cat then told me what he was prescribing without even telling me what was wrong with her. I'd never go back and I really discourage others from going here.

Mike DaSilva

Absolute disgrace and negligence on behalf of the entire staff mercifully killing a beloved pet only there for a simple dental procedure.

Laura Lee Ehrgott

Everyone always gives our beloved Holly lots of love and attention. She doesn't even seem to notice she's getting a shot, she loves going there...even if it's for a booster shot!

A few days ago our dog became extremely sick. We had to bring her to the emergency. She needed a surgery right away. The ER kept her stable until we could take her to our regular vet in the morning. Unfortunately the surgery we needed was very expensive. We called around and were given quotes that were way above what we could do to save our dog. We called Noah’s Ark and from the moment I called, they cared about my situation. They told me they would speak to the doctor and call me back. Shortly after, I received a call back with a quote that we were able to work with. We took her in right away. As soon as we brought her in, they didn’t waste any time as my dog was literally dying. They took her back and went to work. From the front staff to the back, these kind, compassionate professionals cared about our dog. The staff kept us posted all day while she was there. The doctor even called us at night to let us know how she did in surgery. This place went above and beyond for our dog. So needless to say, we have found a new vet for our baby. Thank you to everyone at Noah’s Ark!

I wish I can leave 0 stars. After reading the story of how the Noah’s Ark staff negligently killed a Yorkie after convincing the family to have a teeth cleaning done, this place should be shut down!!! This vet overdosed this poor Yorkie on anesthesia and pain medication, and then didn’t even notice when the dog was not breathing after who knows how long!! I personally have some knowledge of human medicine, which is very similar to dog medicine in these scenarios. This is flat out negligence and I pray that this family sues Noah’s Ark vet for everything that they own. This is medical malpractice to the T. Also, shame on that doctor for not owning up to pawning off her responsibility of managing the proper anesthesia for that animal. Anesthesia is a powerful drug and they don’t let just anyone use it for a reason. My thoughts and prayers go out to Zach, his brother Zeke and that loving family. Guys, do yourself a favor and bring your animal up the road to Mill Plain vet. Our lulu goes there, and I cannot say enough good things about them!

Not impressed at all. I will check out Brookfield Animal Hospital if I were you

We adopted a 5 year old Love Bird. I called Noah's Ark (which had come recommended to us by several "bird" people). I must say we were very pleased with the service we got! Our little girl had never been handled in her 5 years of life~~~but they were wonderful with her!! Especially the vet tech Brett. I was told he has multiple birds himself, and so I felt quite comfortable with him handling her. They gave her a thorough exam, and also trimmed her wings for me so that I could easily handle her! Dr. Pia was the veterinarian that checked our Bella. Dr. Pia and Brett were both very kind and patient and answered all my questions. I also appreciated that Brett told me if I had any further questions to give him a call and he would be happy to answer them. I will also say that I was quite surprised by the cost as well~~~very reasonable!!! Thank you so much Dr. Pia & Brett for your help with Bella. She is coming along nicely and surprisingly looks forward to being held! Still working on the biting thing~~~but it has become very tolerable!!! Thanks again~~~Jo-Ann Moriarty

Claimed to have a reptile specialist in house so we made an appointment for that person. They was no one there with reptile knowledge, and the person they gave us didn't have knowledge beyond what my daughter already knew. Appointment was made by my 16 year old daughter. Charged us hundreds of dollars to refer us to someone else. The exotic vet we found on our own charged half the amount yet put an iv in, gave medication, special food and a follow up call. Felt we were misled and overcharged.

I've worked for this Hospital 3 possibly 4 times over the past 15 year's... Also my pet's are Patients here for 15 yesrs...

I needed a vet for my dog and I am from out of town. They were gracious, patient, kind and helpful. My dog was a nervous wreck and still they were totally un-phased by his bad behavior. I am a grateful for the help and patience they displayed with both me and my dog! Can't wait to get back there and use their services again.

Alice Blackman

Nice way to make extra money. Your dog has to be examined by their vet for $65 before boarding, even though my dog is up to date with all of his vaccines and is seen by my Vet routinely. My Vet in Bethel doesn't even charge $65 for an exam. What a racket!

Laurel MacInnes

I came to Dr. Pia being so upset with guidance I was receiving from The Cat Clinic when my kitty Miss. Chievous was diagnosed with diabetes May 30th I felt at my wits end with the vet never calling me back. Having excuse after excuse of the whys she’d never pick up the phone for two weeks to discuss the time we’re were having in attempts to give insulin injections. We were beginning to feel Miss. Chievous had no hope and was going to die. We NO LONGER FEEL THIS!!!!! With Dr . Pia’s compassion and wonderful knowledge of cats we are heading in the right direction and have a wonder vet team and staff to be with us during this journey with our precious Miss. Chievous aka Che Che Mama Baby Girl. I’m remommending Noah’s Ark Animal Hospital to all my friends and family. And Dr. Pia to my feline parents!!!!

Kari Campano

Most of my experiences were fine until my dog was sick, although never really new what doctor I was going to get— there have been so many. When I took my very sick dog in on a Thursday, they recommended blood tests. The cost for the appt and bloodwork was over $400. Ouch. But it had to be done so I figured out a way to pay for that expense. The following day, I waited all morning for them to call with results while my dog was quite ill at home. Around noon I couldn’t wait any longer. I called and was told “the results are on the doctors desk, but they don’t make calls until the afternoon”. Unbelievable considering my dog was in critical condition and time was of the essence!! I threw a fit and the doctor called back within the hour. The results were not good, and they couldn’t tell me what to do next unless we did a $500 imaging exam. I decided to take her to a 24 hour emergency hospital in Norwalk instead where I was greeted with warmth and concern as I opened the door to enter. This hospital did a thorough exam, and an informal ultrasound at no charge. They were kind enough to give me the the difficult news that there was little hope for her at her advanced age. Saturday morning she passed and later that afternoon Noah’s Ark finally made their procedural follow up call to inquire about her well being— two days too late.

Jon Porter

Our beautiful healthy dog was brought here for a dental cleaning. Someone turned the anesthesia up to double what it should be. Our dog died and had to be given chest compressions. We were not called. It happened at 2 and we were told at 4 to pick him up at 5. I waited 40 minutes in the waiting room. Was told I had to bring my dog to be “monitored” at a hospital. There was no monitoring. Hospital told us he had a stroke, had brain damage and one lung was collapsed. He passed away. Our beautiful baby did not deserve to die in such a horrible way. We hope our boy dying saves someone else. We love you Zach.

Jacqueline Russell

Dr. Pia is excellent and the Staff is wonderful.

sengelbr .

Wonderful, caring and talented people that treat your pet like their own. Ive been going there for 15+ years and wouldnt go anywhere else. From custom food (for my rescue with allergies) to surgery (once an emergency) I've had nothing but positive experiences. I find the vets to be extremely well schooled with great people skills. Highly recommended.
