The entire staff at Newington Veterinary Clinic is absolutely amazing. The receptionists, vet techs, and vets are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. My parents started bringing our family dog here 16 years ago and have sworn by them ever since, so they now bring their current dog here. After I moved, I tried a veterinary clinic that was close by to where I live and more convenient, however I did not have nearly the experience I have when I go here. I now make the 35-40 minute drive so my dog receives the best care. They truly care and love each animal they see. A few years ago when we had to put down our beloved family dog, Dr. Fortin made the experience the best it could be under the circumstances. I highly recommend bringing your pets to Newington Veterinary Clinic!

I brought many of my pets to this clinic over the years. The staff was always nice. Dr. Fortin, however, was always very cold to us. The prices are extremely high. The convenience was the only reason we stayed. We finally had enough and searched out a new Vet in West Hartford from a recommendation from a family member They are absolutely incredible. They couldn't have been nicer to us and our dog. They explained everything to us carefully and cheerfully, They called to follow up. They sent us a thank you card for being their customer with a discount card and..... they were $100.00 less for the same service!!!! Sorry Dr. Fortin you've been replaced.

I would have liked to see a waterslide in the waiting room with hula dancers and maybe some fruity drinks with umbrellas .. other than that this place was great for me and my pup!

Called to inquire about getting my cat spayed, absolutely refused to give a cost estimate. Then called Hartford Veterinary Hospital, they had no problem telling me the exact price of an office visit & spay.

These are all the positives: 1) very clean and sterile facility 2) reasonable cost estimates 3) quality of medical care 4) professionalism of medical staff 5) ease of scheduling and flexibility And now here is just the one negative: They should enforce stricter rules about other owners controlling their pets. Another woman's dog almost tried to attack my cat, luckily she was in her cage carrier and didn't get hurt. But she was frightened half to death and I just wish the staff would make sure the pet owners know they are required to control their animals. This is still a good vet hospital and I think they have very good care and interesting in helping animals to get better and heal.

Worst place ever. Don’t EVER bring you’re animals here they don’t care about you’re pets. They’re slow, EXTREMELY rude, have horrible customer service skills, the worst hours for pet appointments and very unprofessional. Not willing to stay a few minutes late when appointments get backed up. Going to file lawsuit as they are the reason my cat died.

I love the staff and would not take any of my animals any where else. They take the time to explain everything to you and are more concerned with your pet then the cost. They work with you and are just amazing souls!
