Called this vet to get heartworm treatment for little 10 pound chihuahua and explained rescue dogs of NY only allow $550 for treatment. Was told the doctor wanted $1000 and they don’t work with rescue!!!! My dog is very sick and positive for heartworm. GREEDY VET? BEWARE. Wouldn’t accept 60% fee from rescue. Does this vet really care about animals??? Seriously????

Compassionate, Caring and very professional! The doctors are very knowledgeable and all have "great bedside manners" they really take the time to explain everything. The vet techs were very considerate and patient. I had to put my dog to sleep and I was not at all rushed. They were very understanding and gave me time to deal with my loss. They aren't just a vet practice they are a family!

I used to be a big fan of this practice but things have changed over the last few years.. they have become untrustworthy and money hungry! First thing that happened was I care for my aunts dog when they travel. This was a new Pomeranian puppy who was very tiny and had been to my aunt's vet several times due to repeated bacterial bladder infection because his bladder was so tiny. So he came to me with antibiotics but as soon as he finished the infection returned. Spoke with my aunt and we agreed to bring him in to my vet.. mobile vet. Now I had her regular vet fax over his recent vet visits so they knew it was just a recheck for bacteria which is a simple test and inexpensive. When I told him I had her credit card, his eyes lit up and he cracked a joke about spending money. At the time.. I thought it was funny! That's until I saw that he took it upon himself to do over 400.00 in tests! Now, being the first time.. I was still very upset but gave them the benefit of doubt because this had never happened before. 2nd case and I will add that I won't be returning for anything at this vet now! So, my dog Jax had grew up at mobile vet but when he tore his first acl ligament we had to temporarily change vets because they don't do that surgery at mobile vet.. my Jax is 165lbs so he needed special surgery. While at the other vet we found out that Jax can't handle many pain pills.. we went through countless meds and he would become very sick. The one that finally worked was tramadol. My poor Jax tore both acls and the day he had the 2nd surgery he was dropped by the vet and tore his meniscus THE DAY OF SURGERY! Needless to say my dog had been through enough and 8000 in surgeries. He was scared and terrified of vets since then. So now surgeries are done and we return to mobile vet. All he was there for was to refill his prescription because he suffers without it. I called to make the apt.. they said he would have to have bloodwork before they would do it. Let me start by saying .. no bloodwork is needed on this med! It's not a anti-inflammatory drug and they do not need blood tests for it. But I'm backed into a corner and worried about my dog being in pain so off we go to mobile vet. The whole time we were there he was trying to get me to run tests he didn't need and wasn't there for. Then tried to get me to put Jax on a drug that's 300 dollars a script and when he had the others vet info and already knew what was working for Jax. Also, I'm disabled, they know that and I'm on a limited income. My dog still comes first but let me tell you what he did... He ordered AGAIN over 400.00 in blood tests and then refused to give Jax his meds!!! He literally screwed my dog by taking the ONLY med that has been therapeutic for him and he knows how much trauma my dog has been through! He was mad that I wouldn't agree to put Jax on yet another med that will make him sick and all because he wouldn't make 300 on the script and because he didn't like that I asked for a prescription because it's cheaper to buy it online!! He is money hungry to the point that he will screw over your animal!! I'm appalled by how I was treated there and it cost me over 400 for blood work for absolutely nothing!! I strongly suggest if you use this vet.. watch carefully!!!

I visited Mobile Vet to pickup Feline DM for my cats and the service was great. The staff is always helpful and very courteous. I have been bringing my cats to Dr. Reid for 13years and he is an exellent vet. He is very knowledgable and caring individual.

Our dogs were boarded over the Christmas holiday for 3 nights. We had used this boarding service once before & returned because there seemed to be no problem, however, this time our experience was quite different. Our dogs returned smelling foul. The beds we had sent with them had been urinated in more than once. One of our dogs had had ACL surgery weeks ago and had chewed through his bandage even with the cone on his head and now the leg is infected. He was 2 weeks out of surgery and on medication they assured us he would receive. We have had NO problem at home. I called today and found out that the dogs are allowed out 2 or maybe 3 times a day with the last time at 6 PM. No dog can hold their urine or anything else until 8 in the morning after a a last opportunity to use the outdoors at 6 PM. The 1st time we used their boarding area we were told someone stays in the facility overnight. This time I am being told "oh no,no one stays here overnight to take care of the animals". So which is it? I am warning anyone who is going to board their animals here that there seems to be a discrepancy from the 1st time you use this facility to the next. We will not be returning. This has caused our animal hardship he wouldn't be facing otherwise. Highly recommend you think twice before using the boarding services as the information given to new clients is contradictory.

All of the vets and techs are amazing. We brought our sick dog to them and they were so compassionate and gentle with him. We lost him due to an aggressive cancer and they were crying with us as he passed. A few days later we received a hand written note from everyone in the office. Highly recommend!

Absolutely the best veterinarian practice in the area. I have been bringing my dogs to Mobile Vet for more than 20 years and I would never consider going anywhere else. The love they show for each and every pet that is there for a visit or boarding is unbelievable. I recommend Mobile Veterinary Clinic to anyone looking for a reliable vet.

I needed a new vet and came here the people were great, professional and friendly, they really explained things to me and helped me figure out what is best for my dogs. Would definitely recommend this place and will be my vet home going forward

Megan Allen

Very caring staff. Doctors take time and explain every detail of the situation with your animal. Clean, does not smell like some kennels can. However, I always wait 15 minutes or more for the scheduled appointment.

I used to like going to Trumbull mobile Vet however the last few visits were very unprofessional and i was forced switch vets. Frist let me say that the quality of care seemed to be on par with past visits, my issue is their buisness ethics. The last 5 times i visited, they were constantly trying to stack things on my Bill. I told them right up front that i did not have a lot of money and i did not consent to any procedure that cost extra and i only wanted them to focus on the issues the dog currently had. An example was she went in to have a tumor looked at, and instead of looking at the tumor they were looking at the dogs nails ( which apparently they charge alot for!). Another time i brought my dog for a loose tooth and they spent have the time trying to charge me for other test that are unrelated to the tooth. I had other times where they claimed a text or procedure didnt cost anything, only for me to find out they do. The last time i went there, i discovered they were attempting to double charge me for things like X-rays (even though X-rays were included in the base cost!). If you go, i highly recommend you watch them like hawks and question every fee the give you.

I can't say enough good things about this practice. We had 3 German Shepard's taken care of and treated here, the last one we said goodbye to 2 years ago was chronically ill from a puppy to his last year of life (he lived to 10 yrs). We haven't the heart to get another dog, but we take care of our daughter's American Bull dog who is seen by another vet. Last Thursday she suddenly became ill and her current Vet could not (or I should say would not) see her until today (Monday). I called Mobile Vet and they immediately sprang into action. They fit her in within 2 hours, got her records faxed over and treated her like she has been with them her entire 6 yrs of life!! We always loved Dr. Reid and his caring non-rushed method of treatment, but we have fallen in love with Dr. Brie...she is a very special person and a wonderful Veterinarian!! She was compassionate and caring with the bull dog and successfully treated her. By Saturday she was back to her old self. Our daughter has chosen to keep the dog with Mobile Vet for all future visits and care and I couldn't be happier about it.

As a lifetime resident of Trumbull, I used to go to TAH, since about 1980. Sadly, when Dr Kahn left, the practise, well, I had to change Vets. I heard good things about The Mobile Vet, so I thought I would give them a try. This was about 8 years ago. I first brought them my purebred Belgian Malinois, and I was, for lack of better wording, "WOW'd", they had me at my very first visit. The Mobile Vet has been through it ALL with me, from my Malinois' sudden passing through to my purebred Shiloh Shepherd puppy, which is now 2.7 years old. Let's face it, though we may not always publicly admit it, our pets are Family, I mean, so much so, your dog would gladly give their life to save yours, how could you not want the very BEST care for them in return? THIS is EXACTLY what you get with The Mobile Vet. They make you feel like Family, they make you feel as though when they are looking over or treating your pet, in any capacity, they are looking at their own, giving it that same tender loving care, which, nowadays, is a RARE find! I could not recommend them highly enough. Warm, compassionate, loving, gentle, genuine and honest are just a few words to describe them and even so, still does not do them proper justise as they deserve. Your pets can't talk, so in all reality, how do you really know? But that's just it, you do, that vibe, you know when people are real or fake and believe me, I could not, or I daresay would not, be able to place the absolute and unequivocal faith and trust I place in The Mobile Vet, if I felt any other way!!! xx

My Mom has been going to Mobile Vet Clinic for several years and seen Dr. Reid. The entire staff and Dr. Reid have been professional, warm and very caring to us and our Pomeranians. Taking emergency c sections and sick dogs and treating with compassion and love. Our only wish is that they were the ones available instead of the VCA emergency hospitals. Top rate facility to the max. My mom Deb Procaccini has been breeding poms since 1998 and considers Dr. Reid the best vet in her many years of vetting Vets in all these years. We love this facility and Dr. Reid!

It's incredible the live they have for animals and how they interact with people. If I were a cat or dog, I would certainly want to be in that clinic for care. I would feel safe.

I have been using Mobile Vet Clinic for over 20 years. They have always shown an interest in my pets. The exams are thorough and the staff show the affection and care towards my pets and I trust them based on my past experiences. They now have Sunday hours which is a great convenience for me because I don't have to take time off from work to make sure my babies get the medical treatment they deserve.

Charged me $150 for bloodwork after the vet tech was confused why I was there. I called to schedule an appointment to get my kitten neutered (they said to wait for him to be 6 months. He will be in a few weeks) - the girl on the phone said I would have to come in for a physical to make sure he’s healthy enough for the procedure. Okay, I guess that makes sense, I scheduled an appointment. The vet tech who saw me said the wellness visit he had back in July WAS his physical, and that basically this entire appointment was unnecessary. Explained what happened on the phone, admitted it was their fault, and said if the Doctor comes in its an automatic extra $70 that I don’t need to spend. I’m very thankful that he informed me of this and saved me from spending an ADDITIONAL unnecessary amount of money, and I’ve seen this vet tech before and he’s an incredible professional and human being. The doctor herself is also a great doctor. HOWEVER. When I went to check out they charged me $150, which I thought was still pricey for 1) an unnecessary appointment, and 2) for bloodwork. He’s gotten bloodwork done before and it was not $150. They then gave me an estimate for the neutering costs. $500-$700 for a simple, non-invasive and low risk procedure is absolutely criminal. One of the front desk staff said I would get $100 back if I schedule within a certain amount of time. $400-$600 is still no where near what the procedure itself costs. With all of this aside, I will reiterate that the vet techs and doctors are great at what they do, but their billing and front desk is an absolute mess. Not a good way to keep clients.
