Surprise $75 exam fee when I boarded a dog for 2 nights because he received the canine influenza. The dog has a regular vet elsewhere and is young and healthy. He received a fecal exam as well. A 2 night board turned into $275. I was told the exam fee would be refunded, but I would have to drive 30 minutes to the clinic to present my credit card. I was unable to make that drive. I disputed the $75 exam fee with my credit card company. This Vet Clinic refused to refund the $75 at that point and provided an accurate documentation of our telephone calls. They justified this exam fee with the CC company because there is a form you sign when you drop off the dog allowing them to do whatever they want and charge you. Of note, there is one particular thing that anyone would have noted on an exam of this dog, but they didn't... because I doubt they did an actual exam. To end with, $75 is excessive for the exam of a 40 pound dog.

Don, thanks for helping us with Chance. Had we come to you first there may have been some hope for him. I visited 3 other vets before going to Don. The other vets were way off on their diagnosis/guesses. Don spent almost 45 minutes asking questions, studying the dog, and came to the conclusion that there was an inner ear problem. He asked me to try antibiotics while he studied other cases with similar situations. It was an unusual case for the dog to be stumbling randomly and falling and scratching/shaking his ears. Ten days later the antibiotics hadn't made any difference. Don had studied and consulted with his associates. He determined he would try to drain the inner ear by puncturing the eardrum. He found no fluid there because it had calcified. The next step was going to be very expensive and we declined for budgetary reasons. Don was able to diagnose the situation on the first visit and did his homework for us to be ready for the second visit. If I had seen Don at the first sign of Chance's problem there may have been a better outcome. The other vets did not have the time to care to help. They were too eager to keep us coming back for more office visits, etc. I found Don compassionate toward Chance and considerate and caring toward me and my wallet. Don is a skilled vet who cares!!

Fantastic animal hospital. We would all be lucky to have our own doctors take care of us as professionally as Dr. Ducor and his staff do our pets. He has taken spectacular care of our 3 dogs and 8 cats over the years, treating them for everything from minor to serious issues, and figuring out some perplexing problems. I first went to this animal hospital because it was convenient to my work, and although I long since moved and there are several other vets closer to home, I would never switch hospitals. They are highly accommodating to owners, reliable, loving, and thorough. Our first dog was a puppy when one of my children accidentally slammed his leg in a car door when getting out of the car. We piled back into the car and drove straight to the animal hospital, calling to say we were on our way. Dr. Ducor was waiting for us in the waiting room, examined the pup, determined there was no serious or lingering damage and that she would soon be fine with no intervention, and sent us home without even a charge for the visit. Other trips there of course were not such happy outcomes, and when our animals grew old and we had to make decisions on tests and treatment, Dr. Ducor always thoroughly explained the possibilities and options. He is always cognizant of the financial costs and most of all what is in your pet's best interest.

Great service. Great staff. Very knowledgeable. Friendly staff. Have been taking my pets here for a long time. Always pleased with their service. Price wise they are about the same as many of the surrounding areas. I recommend this play to anyone looking for a nice friendly place to take their animals too.

I have a frisky, energetic, 17-year-old Shih-Tzu named Bunny, whose long life and good heath are the direct result of the excellent care received from the Famrmington Animal Hospital. Dr. Ducor takes his time to do thorough exams, asks a lot of questions, and always answers my concerns about my dog's care, both during the exam, and as questions may come up between exams. Anyone I've met there has been kind & compassionate. They understand that people have budgets, and don't make you feel guilty, or look down on you if you can't spend the higher amount. They are accommodating to get you in soon, and don't rush at all when you are there. I would highly recommend them.

Dr. Dan took over the care of my 5 animal companions when I became dissatisfied with my previous veterinary practice. He essentially saved my kitty's life with his analytical approach which being conscious of my budget. His fear-free zone was a new experience for me; I had never even heard of this before. I transferred my sick kitty to Dr. Dan's practice from another local practice who just wanted to do thousands of dollars of diagnostics and high-priced tests. In the month that I've been seeing Dr. Dan, my kitty's health has improved 100 fold. His fear-free environment is soothing to both animal companion and guardian and I never saw my kitty more relaxed and loved at the vet's office than I have seen at Dr. Dan's. I am so excited that I made this change and I highly recommend this practice to anybody looking for a vet who will honestly care about your animals' needs while also keeping your budget in mind.

I have been to many vets over the years and Dr. Ducor and his staff are by far the best and most competent I have used. Dr. Ducor spends a lot of time with you and your pet. He asks a lot of questions and does the most complete examination of your pet I have ever seen. This combination of questioning and examination allows him to make the most competent diagnosis possible. He then gives you not only the best treatment option, but also discusses other possible options. This allowed me to decide which is best based on cost and risks. We obviously love our pets and so does Dr. Ducor.

Dr. Ducor and his staff are taking great care of our 12 year old Golden Retriever, Prince. We were unaware before meeting with Dr. Ducor how much our dog was in pain and how it was hindering his activity level. Our pet has been more comfortable, playful and loving since starting on the Rimadyl that Dr. Ducor recommended for the arthritis in his hips. These days he acts more like the adorable puppy that we remember. We know that Prince will be monitored periodically to be sure that these meds continue to be what is best or him. We are confident that in his older years, our loyal friend is receiving the best care that we can obtain for him. We highly recommend Farmington Animal Hospital! The staff is so caring, professional and courteous. Our dog tore her ACL and was not able to walk so we brought her to Farmington Animal Hospital and Dr. Ducor performed ACL surgery on her. She was up and walking within a week. She has not walked better since. After that we have taken her there for all of her veterinary needs and couldn't be more pleased with the results from each visit. Our Pekingese named Dixie is truly our baby and we would not trust her with anyone else but Dr. Ducor and the impeccable staff at Farmington Animal Hospital. If you are searching for a new vet or if you have a new animal and don't know where to go, this is the place!

Dr Dan & staff are terrific. Their approach with Charlie, my Yellow Lab, is very thorough and caring. Our previous Vet was great, but we were never made aware about the possibility that Charlie was experiencing food allergies. Thanks to their insight, Charlie is no longer given chicken and as such, is no longer suffering from skin/digestive issues. The animal hospital is in a convenient location and scheduling an appointment is never a problem. Highly recommended.
