3 dogs, 3 cats have been to this office for various reasons, from basic exams, to new rescue wellness checks, to sadly having to euthanize. I cant say enough about how fabulous each and every staff member is. Always answering all my questions so I can understand, and checking up on the pets if they are ill or checking up on me after the loss of my 2 cats. I can't speak to cost because I come from MA and vet services overall were cheaper there, but even if this office was pricier, the service, cleanliness, and ease of appointment time, check in and check out is worth the cost. Highly recommend giving this office a chance to care for your pet, I dont think you'll be sorry.

I would have to agree with all the other great reviews. Though on the more expensive side of vets, they definitely know what they're doing and I always feel confident when I bring my shep/lab mix to them. I love how they can fit me in same day when my boy has an infection etc. Thanks for helping me take care of our boy! We've seen all of the Dr's and they're all great.

Having been a client since 2000, the care and compassion received from the entire staff, but especially Dr. Prichard is really second to none. We have many pets so many opportunities to visit the vet! Recently we experienced an emergency with our new puppy (he had not made it to his first appointment yet). The clinic was due to close, but Dr. Prichard, Dylan, Wendi, and Mia were there for us, staying long past their time to clock out, (and with true compassion and desire to help). Our puppy is doing great, thank you to everyone at ECAC!!

My little man may have stomatitis (he's allergic to his own teeth) and is on special medication to reduce the inflammation and pain. The medicine cannot be stopped abruptly. I needed a new prescription and had called for one, and was to pick it up on Friday. My work ran late and I ended up forgetting to get it, and panicked the following morning when I realized my mistake. It was a three day weekend, they would be closed all three days, and I did not have enough medicine to make it until Tuesday. I called the clinic to no avail, but I did find their email on fb and sent them a message explaining what had happened and how important it was for me to get this medication. I thought if worse came to worse, I would take him to another vet and have them look at him and give me the same prescription. Lo and behold, ellington vet called me!!! They were so nice and left the prescription in a place where I could pick it up, and told me to just mail them a check on Tuesday or call them and put it on my card. THANK YOU Ellington Vet for all of the wonderful work you do!! I bring all of my pets here now. The staff is so wonderfully kind and helpful, and I love when they swoon over my kitties. They have gone above and beyond my expectations and truly show that they care about the animals in their care.

We love it here, our dog is a rescue and is scared but our vet worked with her and was super patient and no judgement. Also I am paranoid and run to the vet all the time with sometimes imaginary problems. Our vet, Ruth Ann Valli, was very honest with me about the tests/treatments that were truly needed. She did not use my paranoia to sell more more services and products. My dog is never to warm to anyone she meets for the first time but she was very calm around Dr Valli because the doctor knew exactly who to handle my dog's temperament and seemed very confident and experienced. I highly recommend this place. I went there based on someone else's recommendation and I am forever thankful!

I am so happy with this Veterinary clinic. I would give it more stars if we could. The staff here is WONDERFUL. From the front desk, to the office staff, the technicians, and of course the veterinary staff your pet is in good hands. I have 3 difficult dogs, 2 of which are special needs, who are terrified of the vet. 1 of them is a frequent flyer and has an autoimmune disorder. The staff helped us from the first time she developed problems to all of the other needs she has. They have worked endlessly with her and with us to give her the very best care. We are so pleased with the knowledge and care given to our dogs. We are able to be a part of the treatment plan and they guide us in making the best decision for our pets. The office staff has been so helpful in making our dogs feel more comfortable while they are in the clinic. They are so patient as we try and work through all of their issues. I recommend them to anyone looking for a vet. I have used more than 1 of the veterinarians on staff, and can say that no matter which doctor you choose your pet will receive the best care. We can't thank them enough for taking care of our 3 difficult, strong-minded, and stubborn little girls. Lovingly known as the "Bad Girls Club".

Dr Laston is by far the best at caring for our 12 year old husky/golden mix. Other vets back the dogs into the corner to examine, making the dog nervous and skittish. Always accommodating. We had a cat in distress. The front desk arranged for us to see Dr. Valle within an hour. Though our standing doctor is Dr. Lassen, Dr. Valle put us immediately at need and - taking our cat in hand - calmed him so that he could be thoroughly examined. Dr. Valle administered an injection in such a way as our cat didn't even flinch. He was very comfortable with her and does not have a history of doing well with strangers. We were very comfortable with the care Dr. Valle provided and grateful to the front desk for being so accommodating. Great care as always.

Simply the best! My family has been taking our beloved dogs and cats to Dr. Prichard for years. It is easy to see that he loves what he does and he loves the animals that are under his care. He never makes you feel rushed and he will spend as much time as needed to answer any and all questions. His bedside manner with animals is incredible. It is a nerve-wracking experience for most animals, but Dr. Prichard talks to them throughout the whole appointment, keeping them calm. When my family had to put our beloved 14 year old shepherd down, he came to our home to do it, so she would be at home, surrounded by the family who had loved her for so many years. It was something that he went out of his way for and I will always be grateful for that. I would never take my pets elsewhere.

Whether it be Dr. Joe, Dr. Brown or the staff, everyone has always been so patient and considerate with regards to handling Turbo, my 9 year old male, un-neutered Springer Spaniel. Turbo can be touchy and has been known to growl and snarl particularly when there for his non-ending ear problems. The staff at the Ellington Center Animal Clinic are so considerate and understanding of his demeanor. I highly recommend this clinic for anyone that has an animal and loves them as much as I do.

I recently moved to a new home and following a period of not having any pets adopted a cat from a rescue shelter. my previous vet clinic was further away than I wanted to travel, so I reached out to Ellington Center Animal Clinic because it was near my new home. I visited the clinic before taking my cat and found the staff to be friendly and welcoming, answering all my questions and found the clinic itself to be clean. The first time I took my cat, for a baseline assessment of his health, the vet, Dr. Laston and the vet tech who assisted handled my cat gently and lovingly, did a thorough exam, cleaned his ears, and prescribed a medication for an eye infection which was found.I felt welcomed and felt my cat was well and gently cared for.

I have been taking my cats to ECAC since Dr. Fournier closed her practice in Somers many, many years ago. They have been the very best at everything they do from the fantastic Cristal and Kim to the assistants as well as the vets. We had to have two 16+ year old cats euthanized and the whole staff couldn't have been more tender and compassionate. More recently, when my Siamese was really upset about being there, Dr. Laston got down on the floor and did the exam with Koko hiding under the chair! Service above and beyond the call of duty to be sure. I only hope Koko realized that she wouldn't get that treatment at just any vet's. I always recommend ECAC if I know someone is looking for a vet. She takes the time to talk to me about any concerns I may have about Bentley and answers all my questions I may have. I also love the office staff as they are very compassionate and friendly people. Bentley is my fur baby that I love very much and I am very selective in choosing the perfect doctor for him. Thank you all at ECAC!!!

Dr. Pritchard was Schultz's vet until he was 2.5 yrs old........now he and his girl friend Era are approaching 13.....old, arthritic and without sturdy legs....this vet got down on the floor to cut their nails.......gentle and considerate.......compassionate and knowledgeable......couldn't ask for more.

Normally all my pets see Dr. Brown and have seen Dr. Pritchard when Dr. wasn't available. Both Drs have always given my pets quality care. Dr. Brown is kind and gentle with my animals which help them relax a little when they go for their checkups or any other issues they may have. I feel she is knowledgeable with practically all of the pet issues I bring to her, and if she was unsure about something, she researched and got back to me with a plan on what we should do next. The rest of the staff are friendly, courteous, and extremely patient and helpful. It is a pleasure to go in there because everyone makes you feel welcome, and seem sincerely concern about the welfare of your pet. They send out great reminders of upcoming appointments, or time to make an appointment. They always offer to help you in or out or anything you need. And the follow up on your pet is wonderful. I have and will continue to recommend ECAC to everyone I know with a pet.

EXCELLENT place for my Maltipom. All the staff took their time to guide me through the process of a new puppy and all testing procedures, results, treatment plans, shots, paperwork and followup appointments. Pricing was well within budget for a new puppy, they carry popular heartworm meds and Seresto collars and more on site. The staff is pleasant and knowledgeable. Look forward to his followup appointment.

We brought our new Lab to Ellington Center Animal Clinic for a wellness exam and a problem with her incision from being spayed. This is a very professional and welcoming practice for both owners and their pets. The staff and Dr. Valle treated Shady with great care and explained everything in detail.
