I have been going to East Brook Animal Hospital for about 10 years now. I am so happy with the service I receive at each visit. The staff is always very helpful and friendly. I have had to put 2 cats to sleep this year which was very difficult and they were all so helpful and comforting. I would recommend this Hospital to anyone.

Had a cat that got sick (kidneys shutting down ) on Saturday , doctor took him in insured treatment and on Sunday spent time to recheck. Long story short cat made full recovery. Recommend them anytime

Update to original: I decided to break up with East Brook because some of the receptionists are intolerable, specifically Daisy. Their escalation procedures are subpar when someone has a very sick pet. It's a shame because the doctors are incredible. Anyway, its not worth the hassle when the majority of time you have to interface with an idiot who can't help you, so I've switched to Bolton, where my pet was immediately accommodated and treated like a priority. --- East Brook is filled to the brim with devoted and caring staff. I've been taking my cats there for ten years- even though I've been living in Vernon for about 9 of those years, they are worth the drive! They approach you and your pet with empathy and care, a level of investment and attentiveness that is far from the assembly line feeling I've got from other vets. Some of my animals have had chronic issues requiring overnight stays, near death experiences because of those issues, and the doctors and nurses treat your animals like a precious loved one. They keep you well informed and go out of their way to build confidence and rapport. They remember your pets, they answer all of your questions (and boy have I had quite a few) and I trust them implicitly with the care of my animals. The cost is also very reasonable, by comparison to some other vets. They don't try to sell you unnecessary tests- they are up front about fees and the value of each test and procedure.

We have been going to East Brook for several years and have always been very pleased with their care, support and professionalism. This week I took my little old Maltese there for a "last ditch" effort to clear up a recurring mouth infection which we had been treating with antibiotic and pain reliever. It was a VERY risky surgery because of his general health, including a heart murmur he recently developed. Dr. Fischer had prepared me for the worst prior to going through with this procedure. The team allowed me to sit in an exam room so I could be close by should my dog not make it through anesthesia. I was updated every 10 minutes or so by a technician poking her head in the door saying "so far so good!" and this went on with updates until the surgery was over. He made it! Dr. Fischer came in to talk to me and she was SO relieved that he did so well, and truly showed a personal, caring side of herself (which she does anyway, but this was a special case for both of us!). I cannot say enough about this wonderful doctor and her humanity and gentleness. I HIGHLY recommend this practice to anyone! Another big THANK YOU to Dr. Fischer and the wonderful staff at East Brook Animal Hospital!

If you want the best of the best for your furry family members, look no further. East Brook Animal Hospital is home to an exceptionally friendly and warm staff, from their front desk welcoming committee to their veterinarians. Honestly, it feels like home. I live 45 minutes away, and wouldn't consider any other place for my pug. Dr. Mac is the most knowledgeable veterinarian I have ever met. He explores every single option for treatment, and then leaves the decision 100% up to you, with zero pressure. My old lady is thirteen, so we are very, very frequent fliers, and I have never once questioned the expertise of the staff at East Brook. They always take excellent care of my dog, as if she was their own. Knowing that she will be treated like family when I have to leave her there for surgery is very comforting. I honestly do not know what we would do without East Brook. If you want the best care available for your pet, from a staff that regulalry goes waaay above and beyond for both of you, pop in for a visit to East Brook. You'll be so happy you did.

I have been bringing my Himalayan cat with a complicated medical history to this vet office over the past year. The level of knowledge and care is top notch! Dr. Muir is fantastic and the price for care/medication is very reasonable. I drive 45 minutes just to go to this veterinarian.

Pet happiness. Dr Muir really explains everything you need to know. Staff is great!

Brought my 2 month old kitten here for deworming and vaccinations. First deworming didn’t work so we brought it to their attention about 3 months after the first attempt. They said it wasn’t an issue. It’s been 8 months and my kitten is still presenting with tapeworm. Staff is friendly but the job at hand didn’t get done.

Kathy Brand

Caring and compassionate staff. I know my pets are important when I walk through the door. I won't go anywhere else.

everyone there was super nice, and I'm so happy with my visit! It was my first time and my cats first time to the vet, so everyone was very accommodating when explaining what was going on and helping me out. I'm so happy I ended up there with my little fur baby!

Wow. My Lab had issues. Went to my regular Vet Hospital with a new owner. Prior owner retired. Actually I work 70 hrs and had my 80yo Mother take the Lab. The bill was $800 for one afternoon. He is a goofy slobberchop. And always drinking and lifting his leg around the neighborhood. Prior Vet put him on IV fluids, sent home with meds, I stopped in a month later to express my frustration he was still in distress. They wanted to try again, next bill was $300, a month later he was still distressed, and I was looking for a new vet. Was impressed with East Brook Animal Hosp reviews. Many many happy long term clients. Made an appt, they diagnosed his issue 1st visit, he was feeling better the next day. East Brook will teach you, they educate you, the services are reasonable, great people to deal with. I would have paid twice as much and been Happy but don't tell East Brook. They took great care of Ralph, called a week later to check up, and I could give them all a hug. They care. They are more concerned with their responsibility helping their community than the amount of the bill. Quality people. Pet lovers. Thank you.

Max Zi

Very friendly, passionately and compassionately. Putting your four-legged family member first, on a budget, without compromising on quality of service.

Awesome vets took great care of my cat

Chris Fournier

Great doctors, and compassionate staff. Their expanded hours until 8pm tues-thurs are a huge plus! They genuinely care about my pet and her well being. Their prices are very competitive too- which is another plus. East Brook is well worth the drive from anywhere!

Always had a great experience with the staff at Eastbrook Animal Hospital. I've had to call several times with a cat emergency and was always able to see a doctor right away. Spike, Angel and Xander thank you for taking care of them!

I have a grumpy little Chihuahua and East Brook has been wonderful for us. Very reasonable prices, competent vets, convenient hours, and easy to get an appointment. My baby had a reaction to her Lyme vaccine and they made room to see her immediately (and didn't even charge for the visit). She was a rescue from a cruelty case and she doesn't always do well with strangers, but the vets and staff at East Brook are always very gentle with her and we've never had a problem. Would definitely recommend.

I've taken 2 of my dogs here and they have been absolutely amazing.

I love, love, love this place! I really can't rave enough. I have 3 cats and a dog and they all go here. I used to live in farmington and go to a different vet and I ha e to say everything there was 10x more expensive! I was shocked when I went to pay at East Brook. Not only were they kind, attentive and knowledgeable, but they don't try to take an arm and a leg for service. I highly recommend this vet!

I live about an hour away from East Brook Animal Hospital and I truly believe they are worth the drive. The staff is amazing and they have a genuine love for the animals that go there. I wouldn't take my dog anywhere else and I don't think she would want to go anywhere else anyway! I recommend them to anyone with a four legged family member.

Kim Donovan

Exceptional experience. Professional friendly staff. Caring doctors who LISTEN to the pet parents and spend time with them. NOT assembly line vet care by people in it for the buck. Thanks Eastbrook for taking pride in your work and really caring about our pets.

My name is Heather Chadbourne and I was a client of East Brook and found the vets there to be very caring and competent. The vets are wonderful, the other staff at East Brook was a whole other story. My cat has digestive problems and had very bad diarrhea. I took her to see a vet at East Brook. When I got home, I realized they had forgotten to give me the medication to stop my cat's diarrhea. I called them but they were closed. I have worked in jobs where I had to deal with the public and I have also worked in administrative jobs where I had to speak to people on the phone. I know that it can be difficult at times, so I go out of my way to be kind to people who do these jobs. I called them at 9am to tell them I forgot to get the medication and asked if I could pick it up. They said they would call back in an hour when it was ready. Two hours later, no call. I called back and talked to a second receptionist. She had no idea what I was talking about, so I had to explain things all over again. It was frustrating, but mistakes happen, right? I explained myself again. They said they would call back in an hour when the medication was ready. Two hours went by with no call. I called again. I talked to a third person. She also had no idea what I was talking about. I explained the situation and told her I had already called twice and spoke to two other people. She said she couldn't find anything and there was nothing in my cat's chart. I was quite frustrated but still doing my best to be patient. I have been told a few times by veterinarians that diarrhea in cats is very dangerous. Cats dehydrate very, very quickly. If a cat has diarrhea, you need to get them treated right away. I explained this to the woman on the phone. She didn't care. She told me they were about to have a three-day weekend and asked me if I could wait until Tuesday evening to get the meds. That would have been a total of five days with diarrhea. By Tuesday, my cat would have been dead. No. I could not wait until Tuesday evening. The receptionist got mad at me and told me she would call back in an hour when the medication was ready. You guessed it, two hours and no call. I called them back and asked them if they would give me the medication or not. If I couldn't get it, I needed to get my cat to another vet ASAP. The receptionist was very rude. (the same receptionist who asked me to wait until Tuesday.) She told me that in order to get the prescription ready, she would have to walk into an exam room and interrupt another animal's appointment. She tried to make me feel guilty. Why on earth would she have to interrupt another appointment? Couldn't she just catch the vet when he or she was walking to another exam room between appointments? I told her I didn't really care, she had all day to get the medication ready, was she going to do it or not? She said she would call back in an hour. Screw that! I put my cat in a carrier and brought her to the office and waited right there for the medication. The receptionist was NASTY and rude! At this point, I was in tears because I was so afraid my cat would die. My cat was very lethargic and severely dehydrated at that point. No sympathy from the receptionist at all. She was very mad that I had actually shown up instead of waiting for a call that was obviously never going to happen. I was told that I had ruined the entire staff's weekend. She told me they were looking forward to the weekend and that they wanted to have "an easy day" that day and I ruined it. WHAT???? I hate to say this, but I was actually nice to her. I apologized for my insistence on the medication and repeated what I had heard from vets about diarrhea being lethal to cats. She was nasty again. I have no idea why I was so nice after being so horribly mistreated. She really deserved to be torn a new one. I guess it's just not in my nature to be a jerk. In short, if you go to this vet, know that the life of your pet is not as important as a three day weekend. The vets are great, but the receptionists are monsters. I'll never go there again.

Absolutely the best animal hospital. They answer on a holiday weekend and are pleasant and happy to do so. It means so much to us. Thank you for being awesome!

Been taking our 5 pets here for over 4 years now. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. While we live in the area, I don't think we'd take our furry ones anywhere else.

Eastbrook's amazing staff has been providing great care for our creatures for fifteen years. They recently helped obtain the very complicated medical paperwork for our dog's relocation to South Africa--we could not have done this move without them guiding us through and following up on all the details. Our dog is an anxious rescue beast, and all the vets and techs were great about making him feel calm and comfortable at every visit. We're so lucky to have Eastbrook in the neighborhood!

Dr. Mac is really great with my dog, Luna. She is very comfortable with him. I like that he got down to her level when her first brought her there at 6 mos old. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Marinda Reynolds

Dr. Mac is compassionate and honest. He lays out all options with realistic cost expectations but without a pushy sales pitch. His calm, pragmatic approach was helpful when I brought in my sick cat. I was a mess expecting the worst, but he quickly determined and explained all likely scenarios and a plan of action, making me feel much better, and the end result was a healthy cat. I highly recommend Dr. Mac & East Brook!

Ryan Andrews

Staff was very professional and caring to our dog.

We brought our new puppy for his first checkup and a follow up visit. The staff is very friendly and caring, and the veterinarian left the most positive impression. She took extra time to talk to us about our puppy and explained in detail what she was doing and why. We asked quite a few questions and she was happy to answer them all. She even showed us how to clip the nails. Lastly, Rudi loved the treats! :-)

Such a wonderful group of people at EastBrook Animal Hospital. I've had such a great experience bringing my cat and dog there. We've been going here for many years and will continue to do so!!

Have been a good vet to go. Nice and warm staff. But looks like it recently hired a new vet who is a little sloppy, forget to update my cat's vaccine record so he has to take extra shot to take a flight. Also my friend also complained about them selling unnecessary tests recently.

Darlene Allen

These people are awesome who work here.

Chelsea Cassidy

Great staff. They really listen to your input. I have an exotic and have done extensive research on care and they really listen to my input and everything when it comes to the care of my pets.

Phyllis Pintal

I have been a client at East Brook for so many years. What I love about this place is that the doctors really care. This was evidenced when I had to have my dog euthanized. Actually, I have lost two of my furry kids. I will never forget the heartfelt response from my vet, Dr. Fischer. When it was all over she said to me, "You just gave your dog the best gift". Wow, she really knew what to say. It was a hard thing to do, but if you really love your pet, you let them go and spare suffering. I think too often this step is avoided because the owner does not want to, or cannot do it. I didn't want my dog to linger and suffer so I had to gather some strength and do what I knew was best for my dog. Hard? You bet. Would I do it again? Yes. Every staff person I encountered during that stressful time was amazing, kind and so sympathetic. I feel my dogs are in good hands and I trust the facility with my beloved dogs.

We have been going for a few years now and recently the vets changed. The female vet is a little too cold for our liking. The staff are great and the male vet is nice. Both are knowledgeable vets and easy to talk to. The visits are enjoyed!

If you wanna go to a place where your pets are truly important and they will be treated as part of the family, this is your place. They are truly so caring and helpful not to mention easy on the pocket and are more than willing to work with you. They aren't all about money like some other places are. I wanna say thank you eastbrook animal hospital for taking care of my little piccolo and now my little kitten bella. You guys are truly awesome.!!!!

Daniel Urban

Our dog, Corky, loves getting fussed over by the entire staff. My wife and I find everyone from the receptionist to the technicians, and the vets to good at their jobs, helpful, and most importantly have love for animals.

Lorraine Mendall

Our first visit with our loving dog and from the start we were greeted with a friendly smile. The Vet Tech was kind and Dr. Frank McAleer was great! He explained what may or may not be needed. Not pushing any extra costs. We would highly recommend this compassionate team.

Karista Jeane

I absolutely love all the techs and doctors here. they do everything in their power to accommodate you and your pet. They let me drop off my cat when they didn't have appointment space and they took care of him inbetween clients. They are very timely when it comes to calling and updating you. You can tell how much the techs love and care for your animal while they have them. Any questions I had they answered and I even was able to come say goodnight when they needed to keep him overnight. Highly recommend for any of your furry family members.

Took her dog here to get his rabies and other vaccinations. First visit here or treated as regulars. both the doctor and the attending assistant made my dog feel comfortable and less nervous which resulted in a much nicer experience overall. Moving our veterinary services to this location as a result of this visit.

josh walmsley

They always treat my dog with great care as if she was there own. Very knowledgeable.

Marielle Slappe

The staff is friendly and caring. Roxy was a terror and at no point did I feel that the assistant or Dr. Mac were frustrated or annoyed. I also appreciate that they don't have long wait times. Appointments are short and sweet and with everyone's busy schedule that is a plus! After bringing our kitten the first time, I was able to email the forms they needed for our 4 other pets, as well as their records from Florida. Convenient :) I'm so glad our neighbor recommended this place and it's minutes from our house!

My dog presented with sudden symptoms of labored breathing and diarrhea then fell unconscious (still breathing). I called Eastbrook, I only live three minutes away. After describing my dogs condition to the woman who answered, she said she would check to see if I could get in and would call me back. It was the day before a holiday. She never called back. I had to drive 25 minutes to Bolton and my dog died.

All they care about is money and not the animals. 15 years ago it was a great place but now it is horrible!!!!
