9/30/15 I took both my babies, mini poodle and terrier to get their teeth cleaned. The staff was beyond kind as I was a bit nervous leaving my babies (separation anxiety) but they comforted me and explained everything. I even called several times while I was at work to check up on my babies and the staff was so kind and detailed. The doctor, Dr. Eugene R Clothier, is a saint and very friendly and understanding of pet parents and is very caring of animals as well. He did an excellent job and even took out a wart on one of my dogs neck and cut both dogs nails as complimentary service. who does that? Dr. E. Clothier does, he is amazing! What an incredible and generous favor he did for me, a pet parent on a very tight budget. Great Value pet clinic is in a beautiful location, clean and spacious and they really, really care about animals and their owners very much and it is affordable. I am very grateful to their kindness, excellent veterinary care, friendly and outstanding customer service and compassion for everyone. Thank you for making it possible for everyone, even the working poor, to be able to take good care of their pets, especially with yearly dental care cleaning to help extend the life of our loving babies, our pets. I had a very unfortunate experience here. I took my cat in for a tooth extraction and the vet made a mistake taking out the catheter and harmed my cat. She has a cut on her foot because of this mistake. She was very apologetic and insisted that this has never happened before. I am not giving a lower rating because the staff was beyond friendly and very helpful. But it is painful to see my cat in unnecessary pain, she has been walking around with a limp, and the bandage is causing her much grief. All of this could have been avoided if it wasn’t for the vets unfortunate mistake. However this place saved me $700 for the tooth extraction, but I guess you get what you pay for.

1st time at this clinic. Had 2 dogs checked to see if they needed their teeth cleaned. The vet said they did not but was told by another vet that they did. Trust this clinic that they are honest and won’t do anything that is not needed. Prices were much cheaper than other vets. This clinic was highly recommended to me by a friend that adores her 3 dogs.

BUYER BEWARE!!!! Three times out of 4 visits the front desk staff attempted to add an extra $20-$25 charge to my bill. When detected, the response was "oops; sorry". The professional veterinary staff mis-diagnosed my dog's condition and sold me a prescription for $57.00 that I could get at King Soopers pharmacy for $4.00!!! When I asked for the next prescription to be phoned in to the pharmacy I was told it would only happen if I paid a $10.00 telephone fee. It appears that this clinic reels people in with the $125 teeth cleaning fee (which is for very small dogs, by the way. The fee goes up for medium and larger dogs). And, then they try to slip in additional charges all over the place to make up the difference. Misdiagnosis on two of my dogs and one of my cats has caused me to decide that we get what we pay for and the "great value" here is not worth the lives of my beloved animals.

So glad that even though the trip wasn't necessarily for good reasons (since my cat was sick), they still made it as easy and nice as possible :)

I have been going to Dr. Clothier for five years. All of my dogs are rescued from Mill Dog Rescue, they have all come from puppy mills. It is very important that they get the best care available, as they have already suffered enough. This is the reason why I use Dr.Clothier. I have dogs with heart conditions, two are blind, one with head trauma and one with a broken spirit. Chance is about ten years old and he has been blind since I gave him a forever home. There was an episode last week where he had a seizure, and had pressure behind his left eye. I took him to an emergency room where they wanted to remove the eye. I explained that I have a vet and Dr. Clothier will take it from here. I called got an appointment the next day, and the operation will take place the next day. Chance is doing well since his surgery. I am so relieved that I have a vet for my pets that I can count on for excellent care.

We took our Yorkie in for teeth cleaning. They explained that Yorkies have bad teeth and also showed me what they would be doing that day. When I picked her up I was surprised that they were able to save a lot of her teeth. They told me what they found and what to expect down the road. I couldn't thank them enough for the awesome service I received. We now use them for our permanent pet clinic for our furry kids.

very friendly - their prices are less than half of what other vets have quoted me - and they do a terrific job - both of my dogs needed extractions and everything went well and the dogs were not stressed! The doctor explained exactly what he did. I appreciate that they don't over-charge like most vets. We have 3 older dogs and all of them get their teeth cleaned at Great value! They specialize mainly in dentals ( which also means that they have a LOT of experience in this area) and vaccinations. Most vets try to up-sell dentals, wellness checks, require expensive blood panels, and charge more for older dogs and will nickel and dime you for ever little fluoride rinse and suture ...

From the moment I arrived my pet recieved great care with love. The pet check up was affordable and the veterinarian gave me multiple options to care for my pet. I ended up spending 75% less than I expected based upon my visit at other vet clinics. The humane society recommended them to me and I could not have been more please. This is the worst experience I have ever had at a veterinary clinic. I honestly don't know how he is in business. My daughters and I took our new puppy in for her second round of shots. The vet tech was great, she did an examination & asked some routine questions. When the veterinarian came in he didn't even look at me, he said maybe 4 words to me total...gave her the shot & told us we were done. No exam, he didn't look at her or touch her aside from giving the shot. He also acted completely irritated at my kids. I paid $76, for shots & an exam that the vet didn't even do. I commented about this to the vet tech & she said yeah, he's having a bad day. I don't care if you're having a bad day you could at least be kind & DO YOUR JOB! They made me a follow up appointment & needless to say I will not be going back there. I would pay twice as much to go somewhere else!

My dog had his first teeth cleaning this past week at age 7. He had 10 teeth removed that absolutely needed to come out. His teeth were honestly disgusting before hand. Not only are they all white now but he is no longer in pain which is the most important part. They saved me a fortune and also catered to my separation anxiety. Everything was absolutely fantastic! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I informed the staff that my cat had temperament issues at her regular vet, and Great Value let us wait in an exam room so my cat could wander around and acclimate. They were so wonderful when approaching her slowly and explaining everything they were doing. The staff also showed me the dental equipment they were doing to use, as well as the recovery area. Every single step of the dental appointment was so, so fantastic - my cat seemed to be less stressed than she was at her regular vet, I left G.V. feeling comfortable, and my cat recovered very well. I am absolutely, more than 100% pleased with how wonderful the entire process was! I remember specifically talking with Chris and Hannah - they both understood my concerns with my cat freaking out very well, and approached her in such a way that my cat did not freak out at all. You are all wonderful!

My hubby and I recently adopted a dachshund. She is amazing, but her breath was terrible! We tried lots of dental chews and nothing was helping. Our regular vet suggested a cleaning but the estimate they gave us was over $600! I drove 30 minutes to get to great value pet clinic, but it was well worth it! They did a dental and an extraction for a third of what my regular vet quoted us. The staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable and they took great care of my Munchkin! The best part, her breath is amazing! I really appreciate your clinic and will send all of my friends your way!

Upon arrival the staff members greeted my dog and I. When I was finished with the paperwork the doctor and the nurses gave me a lot of information to put my "first dog owner mind" at ease. They assured me that I would be contacted right away if anything changed or had gone wrong. The open communication made it a lot easier. They took amazing care of my dog and gave me aftercare instructions as well as information on what different types of teeth strengthening techniques to use. Overall this experience was 10/10.

This has been the best experience Bambi and I have ever had at a vet. Chris was walking me through exactly what would happen when a little dog started crying. His owner had already left. Worse place ever. My neighbor took her dog there for surgery. This clown forgot which side of her pet he was supposed to do the surgery on. A very serious pet surgery and this guy doesn't record something as simple as which side the surgery is on.

Great Value Pet Clinic has taken great care of our animals. We have had wonderful experience with Great Value Pet Clinic. Our first serious experience with a dog that had be put to sleep because one of terminal cancer. Not only was Dr Clothier deliver the heartbreaking news with compassion, when it became obvious that our Max was in so pain that was cruel keeping him alive, he gently gave the appropriate medication for the final sleep. Chris and Ben came in the examination room and sat with us until Max was in his final sleep. Our next sad animal experience with one of our animals where Great Value Pet Clinic was stood by us with compassion was with Cleo. Cleo was a rescue puppy and Great Value Pet Clinic took care of her the moment, she was brought into our home. She was in our home for many years and she was a great dog. And the Great Value Pet Clinic was there taken great care of her. One day out of the blue, she lay down and die. Tearful we took to the Great Value Pet Clinic and Chris gently came out to the car and took care of Cleo. Next we have Gus who is usually a happy dog, but I was gone on a trip and Gus was left with my husband. Gus developed an allergy that needed to be treated again, Dr Clothier and his great staff took care of the problem. Plus, the lead my husband through the process since I usually take care of the animals. I would never take my animals to another place to take care of my animals.

Declaw on our cat went well, however they didn't recommend pain meds for our cat. The next day after bringing her home (Saturday when they were closed) we had to take her to an emergency vet because she was clearly in a lot of pain. This emergency visit cost us an additional $150 on top of what we paid for her declaw at great value.

This clinic has competitive prices and extremely friendly service, however their veterinary work is substandard at best. I took two of my pets here for procedures and both experienced complications that were severe enough that they required remediation at other clinics at an extremely high cost - one had to receive emergency surgery to save her life. If you love your pets, take them elsewhere. The savings you may receive here is not worth the risk to your pets.

I will never take my dog there again. About 1 month ago I took my dog in because I noticed what I thought was a hernia. Dr. Diagnosed it as a hernia said he he didn't have a surgery date open until December 12. I voiced my concerns waiting that long and he told me it wasn't that serious, he wasn't worried. They put me on a cancellation list in the meantime. Last Wednesday they called and said they had a cancellation and could do his surgery on Thursday. We dropped him off at 9 and around Noon I hadn't heard from them so I called to check on him. They told me they were running behind that they hadn't started on him, and would within the hour. At around 1:30 they called and said he was out and everything went great and asked me to pick him up at 4 instead of 3 to give him more time to recover. It was 3:55 I was almost pulling in the parking lot of Vet and they called me back telling me they made a mistake and had the wrong dog. They just put my dog to sleep to start surgery and she told me the Dr. Can't find the hernia. So I come in and they take me into the surgery room and The Dr. Asked me what side it was on, I asked him didn't you write it in his chart? He answered "unfortunately I didn't." Well I'm now flustered and very upset and can't say for sure. So here we are my dog is under and I paid for an appointment for a diagnosis and he had no clue where to go in. The Dr. Tells the assistant to wake my dog up, and we will do it another day when I locate it! So I'm beyond upset, they wake my dog and send me straight home with him. As soon as I got him home we flipped him over and found the hernia. This place is very unprofessional and not organized! When they mess up they will not make it right with you! Paying less is not the way to go, and for sure not when it's a member of your family! This is in response to what they wrote about my review......they are out right lying about me talking badly to other customers in the waiting room, never happened. Second I never used bad language with anyone and when I checked out there was no one in the waiting room but me and the girl checking me out. I did tell the girl on the phone I would give bad reviews because I was never happy with what happened! She explained to me putting a dog to sleep is no big deal, which is false! You never put a dog to sleep more then needed. The fact that you think you did me a favor by not charging me for Thursday blows my mind! I paid for an appointment for a diagnosis a month prior and he didn't write it in the chart! I was never happy with this situation, we simply waited a month for this surgery and decided we didn't want to start the process all over again and get it done. I sat in the waiting room because of my distrust after what happened. Never said one bad thing to anyone, do I think you should of given me a discount instead of charging on the high side on my estimate, yes I do! You put my dog through way more then he should have had to go through! Yet you have to lie on top of it, not to mention your surgery room was completely unsanitary and the Dr. Was doing surgery with the door wide open! You didn't charge me for Thursday because it was your mistake, and you're right I expected a discount after what you put us through, and from your reviews it's not the first time it's happened.

The staff is excellent but the doctor is not. I took my dog to get neutered and for a hernia the Doctor did not touch his hernia. He said just like an auto repair shop you need tell us the day you bring him in what he is scheduled for. I guess he did not read the notes. Last week I made the mistake of taking my dog in again for swelling and pain and the doctor did not even feel my dog he glanced at his teeth and looked at his hernia after I turned my dog over. He diagnosed him from his chair saying it might be his back? !!

Excellent experience. Our maltese mix had her teeth cleaned at Great Value Pet Clinic yesterday and they did a wonderful job. The staff was extremely friendly and explained the whole process to us while we were there. They called to update and let us know all went well (which was a great relief because there is always a risk when a pet goes under anesthesia). We will definitely use them again when our other dog needs his teeth cleaned and when she needs her teeth cleaned again in the future.
