Dr. Purryear and his staff are some of the most kindest, gentlest souls you will ever meet. We knew immediately, after our first puppy that when we acquired a second puppy that he too, would be her vet. They are not only very knowledgeable about their practice, but also very loving towards us and our furbabies!! The girls absolutely love him, and we wouldnt recommend anyone else to care over our babies!! Beyond the moon blessed to have found such a delightful team. They always make us feel so comfortable; treating us and our babies like family, answering any questions we have with complete accuracy, and authenticity. Do not go here, they leave boarding animals out all night without food, water and shelter. I live in the townhomes behind the animal hospital and have seen it happen twice.

I have brought my puppies to Faithful Friends for the 10 years or so. The staff there is so helpful and they remember us any time we come in. They have the same staff there which tells me their employees are happy and turnover is low. They may not be the cheapest vet, but they take great care of us and my babies get treated very well.

I came to this vet practice after having a bad experience at a Falcon vet. I drive 30 minutes because it is worth it! The staff is friendly, caring and attentive. My dog is always seen quickly with little to no wait time. Dr. Puryear takes the time to thoroughly explain the diagnosis and treatment. I never feel rushed out without my questions being answered. Recently, our dog was in the Pet Emergency Hospital under a different Dr.'s care because it happened on a Sunday. Dr. Puryear's office gave us a discount on follow up appointments because they knew how expensive the hospital stay was. I highly recommend this practice and Dr. Puryear.

I had a dog for 17 years Frosty an American Eskimo that I loved from Birth until the End and Faithful Friends helped me to make some hard decisions. In the end june 2015 they were so helpful and friendly and yes compassionate!! When I decided to get a new dog ( Max a Mastiff aIso a Rescue) brought him here to see the only family I would trust to vaccinate and be welcome. I will forever be Thankful.They are honest loving and the BEST! Took my dog in the the first time. They were very professional and friendly. The office and exam rooms were very clean and tidy. The doctor was excellent and even tried to keep the cost down. Also, compared to many other vets I've been to, the cost really isn't that bad.

The vet techs and doctors really care about your pet. Everyone was so caring and helpful. I had our cat neutered and declawed with the laser surgery last year, and they took great care of him, and even called to check on him after I brought him home. Great staff and a great place to take your pets! I drive clear across town, but FAITHFUL FRIENDS is worth the extra time.

Dr Puryear is so amazing! My 14 year old Chihuahua had something wrong with her back leg and Dr Puryears staff got me in the same day and he was very professional and got us through quickly and he was very respectful on how I wanted to treat my dog. My husband and I love Faithful Friends and are especially grateful to the caring staff and awesome expertise of Dr. Puryear. He is amazing and literally saved our oldest dog's life when he had a cancerous tumor. We have 3 dogs, and each one has been helped through some major difficulties. From cancer surgery to degenerative disc disease to special dietary needs and even aggression issues, we have received wonderful advice and personalized care. We love taking our furry buddies to a practice that treats them and us as if we were family. Won't even consider going anywhere else. Faithful Friends IS the BEST!!

Absolutely terrible. If I could give it a 0, I would. My dog went in for a routine dental cleaning procedure, which she had had done at our previous vet in another state several times with no complications. On the morning I dropped her off, I requested that they call me if ANY of her pre-procedure labs were abnormal, even slightly. I'm a nurse and wanted to know about any issues so we could postpone the procedure to treat and resolve the issue(s) prior to anesthetizing her. She ended up having an active infection which they DID NOT call me to tell me about, they just took it upon themselves to proceed with the procedure, absolutely DISREGARDING what I had asked in the care of MY PET, who means the world to me. When I went to pick my dog up and stated my concern about not being called about her infection despite my request, and that I was a nurse, the vet tech proceeded to call me "nursey" MULTIPLE times, in a sing-song, completely disrespectful voice, and disregarded my complaint. Upon taking my dog home after the procedure, I soon realized she was so oversedated she literally could not walk the rest of the night. She whined and cried because of her confusion - she was unconsolable. I called the next day to complain, and though the office manager was very nice, I never did get to speak with the veterinarian who had deliberately denied my request, who I had asked to speak to to voice my complaints. I made it known that we will NEVER be going here again. "Faithful Friends" does NOT care about your pet - they do not care about your wishes and they DO NOT RESPECT your wishes. They were absolutely horrid - I can't say how much I despise this place. We've since changed to Pikes Peak Veterinary Clinic, which is absolutely amazing.

I have taken my furry kids to Faithful Friends for 7 years. I had just moved here and my retriever became suddenly ill and I didn't have a vet. My neighbor Tom recommended them and I took her in for the news of having to put her to sleep. I was devastated yet Dr. Puryear was loving and caring. He gave me time to say goodbye, hold her as she made the transition and love her one last time before she left. One of the worst days of my life and I made 'faithful friends' for life. That was my first visit with them! I recently 'inherited' a mama and her kittens and am slowly getting them all fixed and vaccinated. The entire staff has been truly wonderful in working with me to get them all taken care of. Carri - again, I have to say, is my absolute biggest fan for taking them in and caring for them. Always praising and full of hugs and love. Thank you! My dog is very active yet when there, she is calmer and doesn't give them as much fuss as she gives me sometimes! That's a miracle. I refer all my friends to them and they are happy with the love and care they give! Don't cut corners with the 'lower cost facilities' ~ Faithful Friends go above and beyond and truly care about your kids and you as their parents. The prices are lower compared to others in the area as well!

A phone call was enough to know that I would never take any of my fur babies to this establishment. If the people they have answering the phone are a reflection of their technicians or veterinarians they are a poorly staffed and uncompassionate group. I called Wednesday morning to request an emergency appointment for my 11 week old German Shepard puppy, he started throwing up LIVE roundworms at 3am that morning, wasn't eating, losing weight fast and dehydrated. I tried reaching out to them as soon as they opened to get an appointment asap. The person who answered the phone was short in her words and very unhelpful to say the least. I explained the situation with my puppy, she stated they did not have any openings until Friday afternoon. I was surprised and very disappointed that an establishment like this would not be able to see my puppy under the circumstances and that they don't allow for emergency appointments. Who does that?!? She did not try to provide me with an emergency establishment that could possibly help me or even recommend another vet office. I said I guess I'll call somewhere else, and she simply said ok and hung up. I was freaking out. My poor fur baby needed help and they showed no compassion, for a company with a name like Faithful Friends, they are anything but. They responded with a big lie. They never offered me any appointment times that day, she stated they had no appointments available till Friday! I would have take the 1st available that day. I am so disappointed they lied in their response I am going to let all my friends and family know NEVER to use this business. You really suck Faithful Friends.

I Love this vet. You know when someone does their job out of love. The prices also sway me in Faithful Friends favor. I was even allowed to drop my dog off early. I began taking my Boston Terrier to Faithful Friends when he needed surgery. AND, he received aquatic therapy after. Adorable. I have also used their services for my beloved cat. She passed and this vet clinic assisted me in her final care. The earn was a beautiful wooden box with detailed carvings. They took a paw print as well. Excellent staff. The details are important. I recommend them to my friends and coworkers.

Went to get my two dogs physicals to ensure health. Paid $120 to just have someone feel their bones. He didn't test their blood or look inside their mouth or ears. (Went to a different vet and found out about an on going ear infection). I took my female back for her excessive scratching and he prescribed her $80 medicine without testing her skin or anything. The medicine didn't help at all. He said they'd call within a few days to see how the medicine worked and they didn't even return my calls. Haven't went back or heard from them since. WASTED MONEY

I have taken my animals to Faithful Friends Animal Hospital soon after Dr. Puryear had taken over the practice. I have never had an indecent experience. They are fairly priced and offer a wide range of services. The doctors and staff are very knowledgable and caring. You won't find a better practice!

LOVE LOVE LOVE. We have been bringing our 4 "children" here for almost 10 years now and have always been treated well. Can always get them in quickly for appointments and now they are open later so it is convenient for those of us who work 9-5. Highly recommended.

There is no other vet that we would trust our pets with. Dr Bill and his staff are friendly, professional and have a genuine concern for all. When we had to put our dog down due to cancer, they were all so compassionate and understanding. Since they had cared for our dog for so many years, it was clear they felt the loss too. I have always recommended them and will continue to do so!! I would like to add that of the pets we have, two of them are retired military working dogs that have been in active combat several times in Iraq. Dr Bill never leaves the office visit for these dogs without mentioning how thankful he is for their service. I've been to other vet clinics in town and hands down Faithful Friends animal hospital and it's staff are the best around. Thank you

My pets have been going to Faithful Friends Animal Hospital for over 20 years. Dr. Puryear clearly cares about the families that come into his practice. He is particularly kind and caring with the furry members of our family, and I trust him to deliver excellent care. Currently we have 3 cats and a 7 year old Aussie. Cost is a concern for us, and I never feel that we are being targeted with unnecessary and costly tests and procedures.I can't imagine going anywhere else. One thing I do occasionally regret is that they don't treat reptiles. I have 2 tortoises that are not able to receive the attention they deserve....

Moving throughout my adult life, I’ve been to different vets and Faithful Friends is by far the BEST clinic we’ve been to for my dog. Two years ago I had to start chemo that I was on for over a year. My dog obviously sensed my illness, and on her annual check-up (a week before I started) the Doctor sat with us to provide tips to ease her stress. What was even more heartwarming, was that he had one of his assistants call me after my first treatment to check in on us to see how we were doing. Additionally, my career is a science teacher and every time I take my dog for check-ups the doctor always thanks me for being a teacher, and tells me that the reason he became a vet was because his high school science teacher encouraged him to pursue his dreams. At this clinic your fur baby is treated with the highest form of compassion from the front desk, to the vet assistants, to the doctor. One of the most telling pieces of information to me about any business is the amount of turn over. In the seven years we’ve been part of the clinic, I would venture to say that 90% of the staff that was there when we started is still present. That shows me there is mutual respect throughout the clinic and it’s a great place to work. That shines through in their care for animals and curtesy to clients.

Giving faithful friends one star. Our dog has been going to Faithful Friends since he was 6 months old. The staff has been good over the past 10 years. The nurses and Dr Puryear have done a good job with both of our dogs. I would have given them a five star review except for recent developments with our boy. He had his annual visit January 2018. Blood test done & staff call from Faithful Friends a few days later saying blood test was fine. The blood test actually was not fine. 12 days later, In early February, his rear leg swelled up and he was not able to walk correctly. We took him in and they suggested x-rays to see what was going on. Dr Puryear wasn’t sure of the images so sent them to a specialist for opinion. I was told it was a lymphoma. 3 weeks later he swelled up worse. We would find out at SCVIM that the swelling was a malignant cancerous tumor not a lymphoma, and the cancer had spread to his lungs. Getting a copy of his blood work from January we showed it to a specialist who noticed two indicators that were reporting as high that would indicate cancer. So long story short our dog ended up having hemangiosarcoma. He passed away in April. In the time from feb 6th at Faithful Friends until he passed away, he went to Powers Pet emergency, SCVIM, TenderCare Vet and the VRCC in Englewood. After he passed we received condolences in person, over the phone and sympathy cards within few days I would less than a week in the mail from TenderCare, Powers Pet, SCVIM, & The VRCC. Nothing from Faithful Friends. Nothing. We spoke to someone at front desk Faithful Friends on the phone twice informing them he had passed, all business. She said we know. But No words of sympathy. We went into the clinic in person to get paperwork and not one word of condolence. This is the biggest insult of all. You would think after 10 years as a patient our dog and us would have gotten some kind of sympathy. To make matters worse, I have investigated this hemangiosarcoma and discovered that our dog breed, German Shepherd, is more than 50% likely to die from this type of cancer especially when they are 10 years and older. So, knowing that along with the blood test results should have set off alarms I would think. Maybe we could have done more for him if caught earlier. Our dog passed April 17th 2018 today is May 31st 2018. Nothing from faithful friends. I would recommend to take your dog to either Tendercare or SCVIM.

A friend of mine recommended Dr. puryear when I called her in a panic about my 11-yo Golden who was vomiting. They got him in to be seen right away. The nurse talked about all of the possible options and what the costs might be. Dr Puryear spent time to get to know my baby boy. He talked with knowledge and didn’t force me to do any costly tests that might not be necessary. I knew what I was going to pay before anything was done. And my sweet boy is doing great! I cannot thank his staff enough!

I called up with an issue with my cat, they don't usually do walk ins and didn't have any appointments until monday. They listened to my issue and got me in within 20 minutes to take a look at my sick cat, I love this place they're amazing. I first called the hospital to set up an appointment. I spoke to a woman by the name of Sydney. The entire phone call I felt as though I was bothering her. At one point I considered hanging up and calling another animal hospital for services. I showed up at my appointment 10 minutes early to fill out new patient paperwork. The same woman helped me. She was rude the minute I showed up. She showed me to the room, forgetting to weigh my dog sighing all the way to the room. Leaving me in the room not saying anything but suggesting I have a seat. I met with the tech. Who was a breathe of fresh air. I believe her name was Carey. She put me at ease instantly. She was funny and our dog loved her. I then met with the doctor a few minutes later. He was super nice and professional. Explained everything. My dog was a senior and he recommended blood work. We went ahead and did the blood work as suggested. When I went to leave Sydney checked me out. I don't understand a few things. How one person could be so unhappy with her job and 2 why such a great hospital would keep this person staffed. I asked to speak to the office manager because I spent a few hundred dollars during this visit and I wanted to explain to her/him how I had been treated both great and like a bother to someone in her/his office. The office manager was unavailable at the time. I don't think I will be returning to their office anytime soon. My husband and I couldn't believe one lady was there with me complaining about the same staff member and she had spent 1,000's. That won't be me. Thank you for reading. I hope others will also try and communicate their concerns regarding this receptionist to the office manager. She needs to be called on her behavior. Someone this unhappy with their job shouldn't be in this field.

Love taking our pets to these guys. Dr. Puryear is great with all 3 of our shepherds and our kitty. Really like the fact that he takes care of the EPSO K-9's here in town. Staff is really great at getting us worked in if something comes up out of the blue. We rescued a kitty and our last shepherd and they gave them both free exams to make sure things were going ok. We found Faithful Friends years ago after being very disappointed in the care our dogs were getting at other clinics here in town. We will always tell people to go see them even if you have to drive the care your pets get is worth the trip.

They explained our older min pin's situation in terms we could understand. Everyone was cheerful and the office, waiting rooms, lab, etc. were spotless clean and very comfortable.

Every single time, I have been treated with patience and respect. More than once have the doctors, techs and front desk staff gone above and beyond for me and my animals. It's Paaat!

My family and I have been taking our pets to Dr. Puryear since he opened his practice in 1996. He has seen many of our pets from the first day to the last, and has always done right by all of us. From major operations to annual visits, he always takes the time to carefully explain what is going on, what he can do, and (most importantly) how our pets are feeling. He will take the time to explain both the science and the practical aspects of any situation, and is a real credit to his profession. He knows his stuff, but what really keeps us coming back is his compassion. Like all pet owners, we have had some rough times as pets grow older or develop conditions that are difficult to deal with. He has always helped us through those with a real sense of caring that makes all the difference. He will care for your pets as if they were his own, and I will always trust him with mine.

We recently relocated from Florida, where we had a truly amazing vet for 20 years, in Dr Latter at All Creatures Animal Clinic. Because we had rotties, a good vet that loved our big girls was critical. We recently got our 3rd rottie pup and I was n't sure I would find that same level of caring here, after a few phone calls, I found Faithful Friends, it was like going home, an awesome staff and a wonderful caring doctor, i am confident I won't ever have to look for another.

We take all 4 of our dogs to Faithful Friends Animal Hospital. They've been great with all of them: from small to large, rambunctious to timid & fearful. The staff always takes time to love on the dogs & knows them by name. The doctors are great! Dr Puryear took time to explain a difficult decision to me today (at no cost!) & made sure I understood all the options & possible consequences. Dr Vall is outstanding as well -- he even helped us get our large golden into our Yukon after surgery! I highly recommend these vets & will continue to go to them as long as I have pets.

Dr. Puryear is the worst veterinarian I have ever came across. I spent 5 days going back and forth running test and spending money on X rays just to have Dr. Puyear run a simple parvo test on my one year old border collie and tell me "yeah, it's pretty positive" in the rudest way ever and just walk out. Not only did he not care but he sent me home knowing he couldn't do anything for my dog and not even 5 minutes after walking through my front door a nurse called and told me he passed away. So I rush back there and these people would Not let me see my dog because they said I would have to suit up and it would be too much of a hassle. I will never bring an animal here because they are not faithful nor do care enough to be friends? Shut this business down. I know puyear probably doesn't remember me or my border collie but I will definitely never forget his face because he ruined 5 days of my life because he is heartless. Please show him this review so he knows what not to do with people or pets.

Doc will answers all my questions in terms that I understand and will do anything possible for an animal. Dr. Puryear and his staff treat all animals like they are their own pets.
