She was picked up by park rangers with a face full of porcupine quills and great weight loss. I immediately called them and the staff stayed after hours to treat her with a couple hours notice. Since 1994, all of my pets have been patients at Crossroads Animal Hospital. The compassion and veterinary expertise is amazing and consistent in the midst of changes. Dr. Shubin, Dr. Hyden, Dr. Rose, Tina - a special shout out of appreciation!! My dog Petra has an uncommon condition which requires constant meds and evaluation. Dr. Hyden has been with us every step and crisis through the years. I am happy to say, Petra is 15 and still enjoying quality of life. I highly recommend Crossroads Animal Hospital!!

I moved to the springs about a year ago and dreaded the process of finding a new animal hospital to take my fur babies to. Thanks to family and friends I was pointed in the direction of Crossroads and couldn't be more thankful! The staff at here is amazing so friendly and accommodating to make each visit smooth and enjoyable for both me and my pets. Each visit I have left feeling as though my pets got the best possible care they could. I also LOVE the grooming staff they have downstairs!! the girls are amazing with our pets, between my boyfriends family and mine we have 4 dogs that are constant customers of theirs and I feel comfortable leaving them with them every time and of course they come out looking dapper as ever! I highly recommend Crossroads to anyone looking for friendly, honest and professional care for their fur babies, I assure you there will be no disappointment! Thank you so much for the amazing care!

I am very happy that I found Crossroads Veterinary Services. The last Veterinary Clinic I went to was supposed to be a familial vet service. But I found out they couldn't care less about you or your animals. All they cared about was the money. The people at Crossroads are very thoughtful and considerate. The doctors and nurses are very attuned to the way you feel about your animal. I have a problem with low income at times but have found their prices to be modest and conservative. It's not cheap taking care of your pet. In fact for some people it's very hard. But they do try to help you through in their own way. They aren't a charity service. I think we as people should try to set up something, especially those of us who can afford treatment for pets, to make donations to some sort of fund to help people who have pets who are in bad financial condition. I never believed in the state taking care of me even though I'm in my later years of life I have had to use what is available to me. But there's nothing like that for animals. I know there's the Humane Society in the ASPCA and the north something or other group. But they don't help individuals get veterinary care for their animals. If people are willing to give cash that they can afford I'd be willing to set up something in the Colorado Springs area for emergency vet services to people in need. But that's not all. They're pets need food and water and containers to carry water and food for people who are nomads. Or as we call them homeless. But it would be difficult for those people to understand that it's a temporary service and not a permanent service. I sometimes pity animals who are with people who don't like to work for a living. Who you think that the state should give them everything. And then there's those with emotional problems who have animals and I feel for both of them. What's the solution? I mean even if the services were available these people wouldn't know they were Or how to get to them. These animals that are with these people that out there and are out of society suffer with their owners and their masters and they do it with all the love in their hearts and without construing the politics and the social implications and they will lay by their masters hungry and thirsty with just soft words from their masters. But that doesn't let the Masters off the hook. These people must understand that if they cannot give their animals what they need they should give them up. For adoption or to be sent to God. As all God's creatures return to him. I know how damn hard that would be for me if I was in there position. hold it. I was in their position. But instead of staying in that situation long I scurried and talked and begged and became very determined to find shelter for me and my pet. And I did. But if I didn't I would have had to give them up and it would have been hard but I would have done it. I know I couldn't put down my own pet. but I would be glad if somebody would do it humanely. Well anyway I went off track here God bless and have a good day and again very happy with Crossroads Veterinary Clinic. Thanks

Crossroads Animal Hospital is the best! I've had really bad experiences with other clinics in the past but everyone here is amazing. My dog was hit by a car and had a pretty bad open wound on his leg. One clinic told me I would have to bring him back every 24 hours to have the bandages replaced and that he was going to need a lot of physical therapy once it was healed. I went to Crossroads Animal Hospital for a second opinion and they were able to stitch up his leg to prevent the need for weeks of regular bandage changes. After his wound was healed they took off his splint and watched him walk and they decided he wasn't going to need physical therapy at all! They have always been up front about any procedures, the cost, and any alternatives that might be available. I have never felt pressured to get anything done that wasn't necessary and they always make sure to let you know if there are any concerns. I will never go to a different veterinary clinic as long as we live here!

Dr. Hyden is refreshingly honest and caring about all of our pets. He will take the time to explain the situation, go over any number of treatment options and scenarios and answer as many questions as you can think of. The entire office staff is welcoming and helpful and I wouldn't consider taking my pets anywhere else. Great, down to Earth staff. Dr. Rose has taken care of both of my puppies in a reassuring, professional, and calm manner. The techs are always friendly with me and the pups. One of my pups gets really excited in the lobby and has peed on the floor each time we went in. Anyeesa is always so sweet and kind - I felt horrible that my dog peed out of excitement and she made me feel much better and helped me clean up. Missy helped me with some paperwork I needed - everyone is friendly and efficient and I hardly ever have to wait for appointments or in the lobby.

I had two dogs with serious health conditions and he was quick to respond anytime I needed advice. If he couldn't talk, at the moment, he always called back to help figure out what to do next. He also took the time to call to check up on how they were doing and was emotionally invested when it came time to make the hard decisions. His staff is also wonderful!

Years ago we had to put a pet down & they sent us a card of condolences with a letter on how to grieve, but recently they exceeded my expectations. My dog Zeke got very sick & the final diagnosis was diabetes. I was so sad & confused & anxious. I was scared to do insulin shots, he wasn't regulating, & was getting worse. I was not sure what to do & thought about putting him down. All the staff was so nice to us. Their genuine concern for my dog & I was so wonderful. They were sincere & talked me through everything! My dog was so scared at first but now he loves going there. And Dr. Rose was out of this world! She called to check on me & Zeke. And every visit she came to talk to me as well. I was 15 minutes early, they promptly took my dog, Nitro to get the Bordetella shot. I noticed they squeezed the solution into her mouth. She's always had a shot before. Well, 2:00 a.m., she was barfing and had diarrhea what FUN!. Nitro has a sensitive stomach, I hope I remember this when its due again. Or if you have a pup with a sensitive stomach too. Crossroads has always been a wonderful, happy environment. The people that work there love the fur babies. I highly recommend this Vet.

Dr. Derek was the owner at the time and that god he was willing to take payments Because some tines money was not there when you need it. He always sent you an letter after the lost you need to do He was there with Katie, Sammy, and Rockie. I framed the letter from when we had to sent Katie to heaven, he said to say as long as I wanted after she passed away. even time I read it I cry. He knew what a family member was not just 2 legged but sometimes they had 4. I have her last ball and things that remind me of the love, that she showed everyone. I still read the letter it makes me laugh and cry. the office ladies that are still there can remember every animal and who there are when you walk in the door. Dr. Derek passed on the hospital to Dr C.'s caring hands which makes me drive from Ft Carson to have him take care of Hannah and Angel, once you find one who really cares about your loved on and is about to know what is wrong and how are the feeling keep him as long as you can. The only change since we no longer have Dr, D is they no longer take payments, Which makes it hard to keep up their care Dr. D maded sure that the could always get. An vet who stays on the phone will you dog is having her first littler . then lets you help while he takes off thumb nail and cuts their tails. hands his people over along with all the family members can be any one you can't trust. Some people get a job simply because they need to support themselves or their family. Far fewer enter into a profession because of a calling; because they understand they are part of a greater good. In the case of EVERY person I've dealt with at Crossroads over the past ten years, this is the case. From the bottom up, the staff is incredible and sincere knowing that, to most, the four-legged client is more than a pet to a family. Having lived in four different states and having just as many Vets, I can tell you they don't make many like those who make Crossroads run. The time they take to comfort during the tough times with a pet (often going way above and beyond the call of duty, in my opinion) can not be overstated. Practicality and prudence drive the care for our pets... And ultimately benefits our wallet. If you're looking for people who will treat your animal far better than 98% (arbitrary, but seemingly appropriate number, to me), please, I beg of you, give Crossroads a chance. This is the type of business you want to support and I guarantee you'll feel the need to beg all of your friends to do the same. Hell, if nothing else, Kitty or Rover will love you that much more for your choice!

They are just fine. We only go once a year for checkups and have had a few different docs. I do get irritated that I have to buy the heartworm meds one at a time. If you buy in the 6 or 12 pack they are over $1 more per pill. Seems like it should be the opposite.

Cross roads animal hospital has been taking care of my doggies for nearly two decades. They are supportive, knowledgeable and friendly. I love this place and the veterinarians and would reccomend anyone to bring their furry friends here.

I have been bringing my cat to Crossroads since she was a baby, and they have always taken such good care of her, and me! When my husband was diagnosed with skin cancer and the cat started getting skin lesions at the same time, we went in thinking the worst for her. Not only did the doctor take the time to hear out my worries, but he was able to determine that the cat's lesions were benign, and he didn't even charge for the visit!!! I'll never see another vet in town. Dr. Rose here is our current favorite, but everyone here is great!

I was quoted an estimate for my dog Maggi's teeth cleaning, but once ther procedure was underway it became a bit more expensive, but the Vet charged me the same price instead of carrying me with the "Sorry, we were wrong about the price, it'll be an arm and maybe a leg more money" type phone call... they are awesome!

This is the place for us to take our dogs! We have been using Crossroads since 2000! We so appreciate the discount for military on all transactions. All of the staff are friendly, helpful and very empathetic in helping us love and do life with our 4-leggeds! We LOVE Dr. Craig! His sense of humor, forthright ways tangled together with his tender 'bedside manner' are a marvelous combination that draws us back again and again. He helped us make the final landing for our beloved dog as smooth as possible. He could have told us, nope, no more life in her worth dealing with...he didn't. He recommended a procedure that he wasn't able to do and recommended a Vet who could...so 'just making money' isn't his goal or motivation. He works to find the right solution to fit our budget and still provide for the proper care for our pets. There are vets far closer to us.....this is where we will continue to choose to go for the care of our pets.

Trust and attention to details, and listening to my preferences was all handled very well. They seem to care about the pets very much and do an amazing job! I took my dog in for surgery to clean and extract teeth, and he did well and they did such an incredible job that he didn’t even need pain meds anymore after 3 days. When our sweet Darla needed to be euthanized, each staff member came in individually to give her a final treat and say goodbye.. I had an appointment today at 3:30PM. I called this morning to let them know my puppy spent all night at the Emergency Animal Hospital and that she has been diagnosed with a "faint" case of parvo. I was crying uncontrollably on the phone, and just wanted the tech to find out what I should do about my other two dogs (bring them in with me, quarantine, etc.) Instead, he tells me that he's talked to Dr. Hyden, and whoops, they only have ONE room for Parvo cases and that he's cancelling my appointment. Quote: "You need to find somewhere else to go." I am OUTRAGED and appalled that ANYONE, much less a VET, would treat a puppy like this. If I hadn't called and told them, I would still have my appointment. I called back to the Emergency hospital, and the lady on the phone immediately sighed loudly, and told me she had heard of them turning away animals before. She promptly gave me the number to Dublin Animal Hospital, who will be seeing my baby at 2:15PM today, no questions asked. IF YOU ARE NOT EQUIPPED WITH ROOMS OR STAFF TO HANDLE MORE THAN ONE SICK ANIMAL, YOU SHOULD NOT BE OPEN FOR BUSINESS. Disgusting and unbelievable behavior - you should be ashamed of yourselves. Do NOT take your animals here!!! They put on a good show, but then will turn you away when the going gets tough. SHAME ON CRAIG HYDEN.

We just recently had to make the decision to put our 5 year old dog down due to Thyroid Cancer. Unfortunately, the worst of his symptoms presented themselves on a Sunday, so we had to take him elsewhere to at least provide him some temporary relief until we could get him in to our Vet at Crossroads. After 2 terrible visits to 2 separate clinics (and $1000 later) for them to leave us with more questions than ever, we were able to get right in to Crossroads when they opened on Monday. The service and care that these veterinarians show their patients and their owners is unbelievable. Although we were lacking sleep and distraught over the well-being of our beloved pup, the staff at Crossroads gave us the answers we were looking for. Unfortunately, the best option for him at this point was to end his pain, but the care and support they offered during this process made it as manageable as it could have been. This was also the cheapest visit out of the 3 clinics we visited, but it was the visit where we got the most answers. While this has been a painful process, our eyes have been opened to the way that Crossroads compares to other veterinary clinics. We have brought both of our dogs here for 4 years now, and will continue taking our pets here not only due to the expertise of the staff, but the way they care for their animals and their owners.
