I can say with all honesty I receive the best veterinarian care at Bear Creek. My pet was there for a teeth cleaning and Dr. Fernyack even had a groomer come into the practice to shave my Standard Poodle. I have been to this vet practice for emergencies with these dogs and others that owned me. Dr. Fernyack came in and operated on my beloved Andrew even though her work day was done. She and the other vet saved his life. My poodle Chrissy was attacked badly by a dog and she left a vet conference to save her life. I was forever grateful and still am to this amazing dedicated doctor and the staff that works at Bear Creek. I would NEVER go anywhere else!

Just moved to the area and had a great vet back where I am from. These folks were right down the street and were a bit more upscale in terms of others in the area. I made just a regular check up to meet the doctors and make sure my one year old pup was in tip top health. I met with doctor April who you could immediately tell loved her job. The way she communicated and introduced herself to Rocket it was clear she wasn't just an animal doctor but an animal person. The entire staff that I met, in fact, smothered my wonderful puppy with love and attention and made us both feel welcome and at home. They were very attentive and informative and I would recommend them to anyone seeking the utmost professional care in an environment that is really relaxing for your furry loved ones. As long as I am in town I will be calling these wonderful people my vets.

Our dog Claire has been a "patient" here since we got her two years ago. They have provided excellent wellness care and Claire is happy and healthy. Once Claire had a serious injury to her eye and could have possibly lost her eye. However, Bear Creek took excellent care of her and she totally recovered. My vet was Dr. Kevin Lisenbee. He is great!!! My Louie has not been eating and has lost a huge amount of weight. Dr. Lisenbee gave me some thoughts on what could be wrong and immediately started blood work. He then called me personally and explained the results and options for what could be done. I read some of the reviews and I personally don't feel this clinic tried to swindle me in any way, ALL medical care comes at a cost and it would be crazy to think that your pets are exempt from these costs. It is what it is. The staff was wonderful as well, I told the woman at the front desk that my cat threw up in his carrier and she got up without any hesitation and offered me coffee and came in to clean the carrier! I had a great experience even under a really stressful time.

All three doctors at Bear Creek (Dr. Van Valin, Dr. Lisenbee, and Dr. Fernyak) went above and beyond with our dog, Anson. During his last week, Anson spent most of his time at the clinic and the staff gave him so much love and attention. Cheerful faces greeted my husband and I as we visited multiple times/day with tissues ready (they knew mama needed them!), and never made us feel we were overstepping our welcome. Bear Creek Vet made one of the worst weeks of our lives bearable with the amount of compassion every employee showed. I don't believe Anson could have gotten better care anywhere else, and we will certainly be back when we are ready for pet parenthood again!

Dr. Bruewer and the staff at Bear Creek Vet recently performed emergency surgery on my dog. They rescheduled all remaining appointments and got my pup in right away as soon as it was diagnosed. Ruby has been home for a few days and she is already back to her normal self again. The price was very reasonable considering the circumstances and the care and professionalism were second to none. The staff at this office are all amazing. My cat Mr. Kitty Man had an abscess on his stomach and I had to go out of town for a family emergency, so I had them keep him for 4 days while I was gone, they took such good care of him and they even took pictures and sent me email updates so I knew he was ok. I appreciate the hard work they do here and they truly make you feel like your animal is important and not just another number. I recommend Bear Creek Veterinary Care to anyone who has an animal.

They really care about their patients and very calm and gentle with them. They are very friendly and are always happy to see Aspen, fatcat, crayola, and gizmo anytime they come in. Dr. Van Valen and the staff at bear creek are the most wonderful people. i was nervous about finding a new vet when I moved here, but they go out of their way every single time we go in (and with my dog, that means often) to make sure they're well taken care of. Most vets I have gone to make me feel very unimportant when we go in. They want to hear the problem, subscribe something ridiculously expensive, and get you out the door as quickly as possible. This is not the case with bear creek. Dr. Van Valen has always been very patient with my pets, and myself as well. My pets adore her and she makes sure I know all of my options, as well as the pros and cons to them all, before I make my choice. Wonderful place and wonderful people :)

Each time that I have gone the staff members are professional and caring. Every concern that I have is addressed. Yes the services are a little pricey; however I believe that the quality of care provided is worth the price.

My dog broke a nail pretty bad, too bad for me and my wife, both with medical backgrounds didn't feel comfortable removing the nail ourselves. I called multiple clinics in the area and none could see us, until I called BEAR CREEK. Bear Creek was able to squeeze me and my dog in without an appointment in advance, was super pleasant to deal with and they even gave me an estimate over the phone. Once we arrived, we were welcomed by very friendly people who didn't waste any time getting me signed in, dog weighed and a quick inspection before the vet came in herself. The vet and vet techs were amazingly caring and I felt they truly understood my worry. The vet came in and explained very clearly what would take place and what I could expect. The tech can in and took my little girl and I truly felt comfortable (as comfortable as a furdad can be in this situation) that she was in good hands. I returned to pick up my girl and they got me right back to a room to discuss care instructions as they prepped my dog to go home. They not only talked me through the instructions and possible warning signs but they also had a print out of continue care instructions for me specific to my dog and her situation, not just a generic sheet. I was so happy with my visit and I highly recommend this clinic to anyone who has a fur baby.... oh I almost forgot, I also received a call once she was out of the "surgery" procedure to let me know she was doing well and that the procedure itself went smoothly. She also didn't keep from me the fact that the nail pieces were still firmly attached so she may be in some pain for a few days. The clinic also called to check up on her the following day. So if you need a clinic for your furry one, I highly recommend this group!

. When you leave one star they will call and harass you. They called my wife first and when they didn’t like what she said they called me. Never will I go back. I will never refer anyone either. Totally unprofessional!! Update: bear creek animal hospital almost killed my cat by misdiagnosing her. Giving her a shot and sending her home almost killed her. She needs surgery you idiots!!! Thank god we took her to a REAL vet!!!

This place is great! The staff truly cares about your animals. My family dogs went here when I was growing up. Now I have a pup of my own and I wouldn't take her anywhere else. They know my dog by name, when I walk in I'm sure my dog feels like Norm in "Cheers" because everyone says hi to her. I can typically get a same day or next day visit whenever. Highly recommended.

The vet we normally go to couldn’t get us in and my dog got hit with some serious upset stomach. Bear Creek was suggested to me and I gave them a call. They were able to get me in the same day. We saw Dr. Fox and she was fantastic. Everyone in the clinic was so friendly. At no point did I feel like they were pressuring me to do anything unnecessary for my dog. We left with some probiotics and very happy. My dog got worse through the night and I called back in the morning. Dr. Fox took my call and explained what our next step could be. We ran some tests and she called me back the same day with results and prescribed my dog antibiotics. We have received phones calls checking on my dog and seeing if I have any questions. I’ve never had such a positive experience with a vet clinic! They truly care about animals and it shows! We have definitely found our new vet clinic. Thank you Bear Creek Vet Clinic!!!

We have been using Bear Creek for several years. They have been able to get us in promptly, which has been great. There was an incident, mostly poor communication ,about the procedures for my poodles teeth cleaning. They were apologetic and made an effort to correct the misunderstanding. However, on our last visit they totally dropped the ball on our dogs ear infection. They said they were going to treat his ears with antibiotics in lanolin. I have seen this treatment on a friends dog and it is obvious when the lanolin was in the ear. . When I looked in my dogs ears there was nothing. Talked to them on the phone and they said not to worry. Well, my dogs ear did not improve at all and I don’t believe he ever received the treatment. We are going elsewhere.

Driving through Colorado, we found a starving dog in a field and took her to Bear Creek because they were the only clinic on our very long list who were willing to see her. And we were lucky. Bear Creek treated our filthy, dehydrated, emaciated, barely-able-to-walk old dog as if she had value. They x-rayed her and did blood work, gave her a rabies vaccination and medication for her very painful hip dysplasia, and sent us on our way. They called the next day to check on her even though they knew that, because we were from out of town, we would not be bringing her back to them. Their services were top rate; their kindness was unrateable. Thank you, Bear Creek and Dr. Anne Fox. Our little dog is doing fine.

Way over priced. Employees dont seem like they wanna be there. Spent 30 minutes asking me the same questions I'd told 4 people already about my dog... who was present at the appointment.. not a doctor, but my first guess would be to examine the dog first. Then ask questions, as your the doctor. So 130 dollars later and I got a benadryl shot and some 15 dollar soap. All 4 ounces of it. Lol wont go there again and do not reccomend.

I love this clinic. The service you receive is nothing short of outstanding. The receptionists are always so polite, the vet techs are so kind and the doctors really know their stuff. I love a doctor that doesn’t talk at you but to you, they explain everything so thoroughly and they’ve never made me feel like I’ve had a stupid question. It’s not cheap and it’s not expensive (for those who are saying it’s too high priced). It’s your average priced clinic. I don’t believe any of the poor reviews, you’ll see why I don’t if you actually go there and meet everyone.

From the start the staff makes you feel very welcomed and accommodate you with anything you need. The Vet tech then comes in to check on you and the animal very soon after you get your room. We brought in our Great Dane Zimba for his leg, which had a huge bump on it and it turned out to be cancerous. At his age (10 1/2) and with few options we knew euthanasia was imminent. I want to thank Dr. Anne Fox and EVERYONE there for being compassionate, patient, and professional. IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD. I paid $48 for a "urinalysis and collection" on the previous visit and was told I would receive communication via phone within 24 hours on the results. It is now over 3 weeks later and I have yet to receive a single call. At this point, your facility has stolen money from me and I will be in soon to request a refund. In addition, the bill states that we will be receiving an email giving us information about the PET ID CARD, and have yet to hear anything on that subject either. I WOULD ABSOLUTELY NOT ADVISE ANYBODY TO WASTE THEIR TIME OR MONEY AT THIS FACILITY, I HAVE SINCE BEEN TO BIJOU ANIMAL HOSPITAL AND HAVE RECEIVED MUCH BETTER CARE THAN THIS FACILITY PRETENDS TO PROVIDE.

I took my dog Huey in to Bear Creek Veterinary Care while I was visiting my son from California. He was diagnosed with a yeast infection, and Dr. Anne Fox and her staff were very caring and advised me of my options to use other products for his ears on a monthly basis to prevent ear infections for my floppy eared German Shorthair Pointer. They offered me dog treats for my dog and made me feel like they wanted only the BEST for my dog. I would highly recommend them for their highly professional care of any dog or animal!

After years of care for multiple pets, the newer doctor decided to put my dog on meds that were killing him, affecting his liver, kidneys and more. Then she called me and told me that the new medication that I bought could not be used with his pain meds and to remove him from pain meds, but keep him on the bad med that was causing him to be ill! When having an issue with that thought process, and being promised a call, I was invited to leave. Well having my dog dying from Galliprant, then adding more meds and removing his pain meds IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!!!! THEY WERE KILLING MY DOG SLOWLY AND WANTED HIM TO BE IN PAIN WHILE THEY DID IT!!! I used to believe in them and have been there more several years..... I have recommended them for years...… NOT ANYMORE! So glad the new doctor that wants to kill my dog is so very important to keep in this practice!!! There was NEVER inappropriate language, and NEVER any other OPTIONS!!! NICE TRY!!! AND I HAVE THE APOLOGY IN WRITING IN THE EMAIL FOR GETTING UPSET THAT YOUR VET WANTED TO KEEP HIM ON THE MED THAT IS KILLING HIM AND REMOVE THE PAIN MED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are not even the original doctors for my animals but all of those doctors left and went to other establishments to practice... First of all....your lying. There was no inappropriate language, there was an apology in writing for getting upset that your doctor wants my dog to be on medications that are killing him raising his liver enzymes and kidney and whatever else was bad on the numbers and in addition to that wants him to be in pain and wants him off the Tramadol which isn't causing the problem the galliprant is the problem so you're promoting a drug that is the problem and killing my dog and you're protecting your doctor for promoting that drug are you getting kickbacks from him??? is the big Pharmacy company paying you Kickbacks to hurt dogs??? you've already lost quite a few doctors since I've been there you are covering up for your doctor instead of being honest you are purposely lying. It is a problem for you to intentionally harm my animal there were no options given the only option was to take the new medication and either wait for for you to call me and in the meantime start him on the new medication to protect his liver and his kidneys then I get a phone call from your doctor wanting to remove his Tramadol so he has no pain medication while you're giving him the medication that's still killing them in addition to the medication to fix his enzymes so yes I got upset yes that is upsetting in the meantime we chose to remove the medication that is harming him instead of removing the Tramadol so you'll have to get somebody else to buy your galliprant, if you're getting kickbacks from big pharma and putting animals on it causing harm to them!!!! But you clearly do not care about your patients. So big pharma, galliprant n doctors that harm patients..... that was your resolution! So yes, I got upset!!!!!

Writing a review because Im SO glad for the other reviews I found here that lead me to choose Bear Creek for my dog! They are GREAT!!! Dr. Pearson and the rest of the staff took EXCELLENT care of my pooch when he needed some very painful procedures done (infected anal glands, yikes). They were all very sweet and caring and most of all, gentle. I never got a rushed feeling at any point, she spent hours with us on several occasions, slowly considering our options and getting to know our situation and our dog. It was pleasurable even for the situation, very good sense of humour and "bedside manner". I just got off the phone with her receptionist, a very sweet lady, who called after each procedure and then today a week later to check and see how our poochy was doing. Also I have to mention how gracious they were about the financial end. Not only did I find them very reasonably priced (I called 5 other clinics and they were the cheapest on everything) there was no charge when I had to bring him in after a procedure when he wasnt feeling well to have him looked at to see if there was something wrong, there wasnt, but she took time to sit down with him and look him over thoroughly. Just all around great place and I certainly recommend it any chance I get!! THank you Bear Creek!

Great vet i brought my pit bull buddha there ever since he was about 5 months old and they remembered him every time by his name and were very nice when he was still a puppy he got into a fight with a raccoon and i called first thing at 8 am and they squeezed me in within 30 minutes of me calling and he was all better after that very nice staff i would defiantly recommend going to this vet its not the cheapest in colorado springs but a dog is like a kid in my opinion. can't go to cheap people for your kid so why your dog

Best Vet Anywhere! I absolutely love this office. The entire staff is amazing. Dr. Pearsons obviously has a deep love for animals. My first appointment with my dog and cat was at something like 4:30 (maybe 5:00?) in the afternoon, and I thought it would be rushed and perfunctory. Instead, she sat down right on the floor with my dog and talked with me about my animals for over an hour. She was really interested in everything I had to tell her about them, thoughtful, and patient. She was excellent with my cat, who was really scared being in a new place. My husband is military and I dread the day (though it may be three or four years away) that we move away and have to find a new vet!!

I love this clinic! My pets see Dr. Bruewer and she’s always wonderful with them. One of my dogs can be a handful and she was very patient with him and was very understanding with his personality. If there is a problem one of my pets she goes through all the possibilities and tests we can run, that are strictly for my approval. I never feel pressured or treated poorly there. Dr. Fernyak doesn’t even see my pets, but whenever I come in is asking how they are doing and seems like she genuinely cares about them. I would 100% recommend this clinic to anyone knowing I was sending them to an excellent clinic!

The staff seems to genuinely care and they take the time to explain things to you including procedures, prices, and reasoning for doing said procedures. They also explain different options you could choose instead of insisting you buy certain things.

They try to sell you stuff you don’t need and can get for half the price elsewhere 25 dollar antiseptic wipes?!?! . During our puppy visits, never mentioned cleaning our bulldog’s tail pocket which resulted in a painful infection. When we visited for a possible obstruction, they had given us paperwork and pricing for his X-ray and then the xray machine went down... instead of sending us elsewhere they gave him a bunch of medicine including eye drops that he didn’t need... it all added up to the price his X-ray and treatment would have cost. They have a clean office, the card they offer that list his vaccines was pretty cool... not worth being ripped off. It’s also difficult to access and the parking lot was flooded one time so bad the water was up to my shins.

4.5 stars: I spend quite a bit of time waiting at almost every appointment I take my dog to here. However, the vet techs treat my furry kiddo really well, and the vet herself is knowledgeable and kind. I'll stick with Bear Creek!

We loved our prior vet in another state and I was worried that I wouldn't be able to find another who would come close. Well, I did. Dr. Van Valin is great. She spends a lot of time with you, and more importantly, your pet making sure they are comfortable! Last week I brought one of our kitties in for the first time and she was so comfortable she just laid there on the table purring. That hasn't happened before!!

This is hands down the best Vet clinic West of the Mississippi. The support staff is incredibly friendly and loving and get to know you and your pets. The doctors are all professional and incredibly knowledgable. My two dogs go to Dr. VanValin and absolutely love her. She works well with each dog's challenges (one is 13 and a half) as well as with my budget. She has always provided the best plan of action for my sick pups and I will recommend her to everyone I know.

People were professional and I was able to get an appointment within a week. But I was not impressed with the flow of the exam and communication. I stood in the room and tech asked questions, went and told vet, came back asked more questions, went and told vet, etc. Also, vital signs and exam were performed in the back where I was not allowed; I want to be included in all aspects of my animal's veterinary care. Fairly expensive too.

First I would like to say how awesome your reception team is. When I called early Wednesday morning I had a lot of questions and advice on what I should do for my cat who I thought had a UTI. Jennifer picked up the phone and was so awesome! She not only gave me price estimates for a possible exam, urinalysis, etc, but she also gave me her personal opinion on what she would do for her own male cat. I hadn't gotten that kind of service from the other 8 vets that I had called that morning! It's mainly because of Jennifer that I came to Bear Creek Veterinary Care! I took Jennifer's advice and made an appointment that day. As soon as I walked in Jennifer was so sweet and got me set up in a room. The nurse came in (who by the way was very sweet) and did a little check up on Tibbs before the vet came in. Doctor Ashlee came in and did another check up on Tibbs. Doctor Ashlee gave me a all the advice and next steps that I needed to hear. The diagnosis wasn't easy to handle (Possible blockage which could be deadly). Doctor Ashlee was very helpful and answered all of my questions. We had Tibbs stay at the Vet that day for some tests. The other receptionist (I can't remember her name sadly) was so sweet and helped with all of the billing information and gave such encouraging words. We brought him home that night with all of the meds and information that we would need to nurse him back to health. Not only did Bear Creek Veterinary Care call the next day to check in on Tibbs, they also called the day after that as well (which is today) and I am very certain they will call again this week to see how he is doing. I will definitely make this my pets vet for as long as we live in Colorado. I want to personally thank the WHOLE team at Bear Creek Veterinary Care for your exceptional service of care and for treating me and my fur baby like family. Thank you!!!

I was new to Colorado Springs and needed a new vet for my two dogs. I saw this one was well-reviewed and took my dogs in for their shots and a check up. The whole process was very quick there was no waiting and to get both dogs checked out I think took less than 30 minutes. Both the staff and the doctor were very friendly and informative and despite being taken to the vet I think my dogs enjoyed the experience. I'll definitely keep coming back here for my dog care needs.

We were in the area from out of town, and our dog took a spill out of our truck. We quickly took him to the local dog park to do a quick assessment on his physical and mental condition. After that, we scoured for a veterinarian nearby with great reviews. We came across Bear Creek Veterinary Care and stopped by late in the afternoon. The front desk worker (Courtney) was so pleasant and accepting of Huck. They promptly got us in a room and we were seen by the vet tech, Kristen, who was so sweet and informative. Next, Dr. Stephanie Fernyak did the most comprehensive check to our pup and made us feel so at ease with her expertise and patience. She answered all of our questions and our dog was so comfortable around her. We could not be more grateful to be away from home and receive such wonderful care. COULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS CLINIC ENOUGH! To top it all off, the office called to check up on us the next morning.

My dog has been to a couple different vets because of her ear infections. I misread my appointment and they still got me in as quickly as possible, they were super gentle with her very quick very efficient. As I said I have been to many vets with this issue and they were by far the gentlest and most attentive to my dog Wicca. I wouldn't say they are a cheap place but the bill was definitely less than I thought it was going to be.

We visited Bear Creek Vet on the recommendation of two friends, and we are so glad to have found them! The staff is friendly and helpful, and the doctors are truly excellent. We originally took our little dog in after an incident at the Dog Park, and they fixed her right up- even if they were busy and we weren't even clients yet. We felt so guilty about what had happened, and they put our minds at ease and made sure our little gal was OK. Later, we took our old arthritic hero in for laser treatments, and they have really put a spring in his step. Hooray for Bear Creek Vet-- we won't go anywhere else!!!

Over priced!!! The Office Managers, Toufic , people skills are some of the worse I have ever dealt with. Desire to make a dissatisfied customer happy is not there. It is all about making money. I wish we had never gone. My sons first experience and handling a pet visit on his own was made upsetting because of a misunderstanding that they were not willing to help fix. The records they sent me on my dog had statments in there that were a complete lie!! We will not return and I do not recommend this vet to others.

I am leaving their practice. I have had to debate this over the last year because of sky rocketing prices. Last year it cost me $1500 to have 2 teeth cleanings and a couple of tooth extractions on my geriatric dog and this morning I was quoted up to $1200 to HAVE ONE TOOTH EXTRACTED ON MY 12 year old fur baby. Although they are compassionate I can't cover their overhead with each of my visits, and trust me, I visit them a lot. I am that crazed pup mom who covers everything! I practice "people medicine" for a living and operate a private practice as well, so if anyone understands the difficult balance between business and practice, it would be someone like me.

Amazing vets. They removed a mass of garbage my dog had eaten on a Friday afternoon that had lodged in his stomach, and they were so good to me while I cried and freaked out. The whole office, from the amazing Dr. Ashley to the wonderful receptionists were friendly and so kind. Baxter was in great hands, and came out of his surgery just fine. The aftercare instructions were easy to follow and Dr. Ashley was very happy to answer any questions I had, even going so far as to give me her personal cellphone number to be sure I could reach someone on the weekend after his surgery if I needed to. A great experience from a scary situation.
