I read all the reviews on their site and am so glad I decided to go with Austin Bluffs Animal Clinic. Dr. Hand is an adept and patient Doctor. He answers throughly to all the questions we ask. He is truly gentle with my dog. The staffs are friendly and helpful as well. Since the first visit, we went back for her shots. The Dr. remembered my dog and we feel really good about that.

Austin Bluffs Animal Clinic has been taking care of our dogs for over 15 years. They also took care of our Mothers dog for 5 years. We would go no where else and absolutely love the care they provide to our dogs. When we had to put down our Blue Heeler, they gave us the utmost support and followed up with phone calls to make sure we were doing OK. The same thing with our newest dog, they are great, professional and kind people, and we have never had any thing other than a great experience with Austin Bluffs Animal Clinic. I recommend them to any of our friends or neighbors that are new to the area or that are looking for animal care.

I have been taking my cats to Austin Bluffs Animal clinic for 16 years. Dr. Monyek is a natural with animals. I had a cat that really, really hated going to the vet. Dr. Monyek was wonderful with him, quick and patient, and actually got a kick out of my cat's antics. Jean and Brian have been there forever and are also wonderful with the animals. The clinic is very understanding of the cost of some treatments, and I feel they don't order tests that aren't needed. I can say from personal experience, that is not the case for some other veterinary clinics in the area. They discuss treatment options with you, and go with what works best for you and your pet. Dr. Monyek was born to be a vet and I wouldn't think of taking my furry family to anyone else.

I cannot explain how much I love Austin Bluffs Animal Clinic. - If you don't want to read a long essay, here's this: all of the staff and doctors are incredibly talented and kind and caring. I will take my animals here for as long as I can. - ABAC has been our vet (my 4 year old husky and 8 year old cat) for 3 years now. Our story starts when we got our husky, Echo. He was 11 months old and in our first visit we tested him for heartworms and tested positive. The doctors and staff were a crucial part our lives through this time and I definitely couldn't have done any of it, emotionally or otherwise, without them. We went through months of treatment and the end of it all we had two more blood tests to show if he still had heartworms. The first one showed a partial positive. The staff was very reassuring that no matter what they would help do what's best for him and us. The second blood test that was sent to the factory a couple weeks later showed up completely negative. Echo is a high anxiety dog and the staff really took their time to get to know him and make him comfortable. I am forever greatful to them for saving my baby because he saved me. I now have a high anxiety calico cat, Nonnie. We've been to ABAC twice now with her and she has done surprisingly very well with everyone. I didn't feel rushed and the doctors answered my questions at length and made sure I went home with no worries or questions. I am very protective of my babies and if I even have a bad feeling about someone I wouldn't let them near my animals. I give 5 stars to every aspect and every encounter I've had here. We're all people (and animals). Emergencies happen. Sometimes you have to wait. I'd wait an hour for 5-star care for my babies any day of the week. Thank you so much to all the staff and doctors at ABAC for taking care of my babies so well.

Moving to a new state can be a difficult transition, especially having to locate new Doctors and Vets for the family. I had a great experience with this clinic. The receptionist was friendly, helpful, and professional when I called to make the appointment for my cat. She was knowlegeable but not pushy as we discussed what was needed in terms of vaccinations and licensing as a new resident in CO. The tech and the vet were both friendly, personable, and genuinely interested in the welfare of my cat and myself, taking time to answer my questions and giving helpful suggestions on what was best for my cat as he adjusts to apartment life. The clinic was clean and attractive. All in all it was a very relaxed and pleasant visit. I would highly recommend this clinic, and we will be using them as our new vet.

We've been going here with our cats since 1993 or so. Very down to earth attitude and very friendly staff as well as cozy atmosphere. We've been to other vets in a emergency and there is more bull***** and you pay more, and get the slick explanation of what is going on. You don't get that here. You are not in a institutional atmosphere with lots of admin procedures (and the higher price to go along with it). I recommend ABAC to anyone that has a new pet or maybe getting a run-around with their vet.

Everyone is friendly and professional the moment you step in the door to the moment you are checking out. My dog, Wilson, comes here for his annual check-ups and this time around, he was cared for by Dr. Hand. Wilson is a very timid dog and shakes violently when he goes to the vet, but Dr. Hand and him became quite comfortable with each other because Dr. Hand handled him respectfully and beautifully. That put my dog very much at ease. Dr. Hand is very thorough and very kind. I would highly recommend this clinic to any dog owner.

Austin Bluffs Animal Clinic's communication was poor. First off, I took my dog there for her appointment and sat in the patient room for almost an hour waiting for the vet that was late to work. They said I could wait 45 minutes or bring my dog back in another time. I said I'll come back. When I did, I took my dog in for 3 things: a checkup, rabies shot, and to get her nails clipped. The technician came in and we clipped her nails, then the vet came in and gave her a shot and said she was done. It was obvious they didn't have any other plans for her that day. I paid at the counter, took my dog to the car and came back inside to tell them that she didn't get a check up and they charged me for it. They said they'd have to contact their boss/the owner to do anything about it. I would have been willing to bring her back inside then, but they didn't give me that option. I said ok. Being 21 years old, I'm still getting used to responsibilities like taking my own dog to the vet, so I called my mom and told her my frustrations. She called them for me(with threats to sue for trying to swindle young adults.) Shortly afterwards(in a day or so) they called me back and said that they'd give me a refund and a free check up and nail clipping. I decided to let them make things right and went in for the check up. When I went inside, I received my refund and went into the back as directed. They had a tech trim her nails again(which I wasn't expecting at the moment) and then they acted like we were done and it was time for us to leave. They said, and you can schedule that free check up at anytime. I told them I thought that was what we were doing. They scrambled to have one of the vets come check her out. The staff themselves were friendly and took care of my dog(through a long drawn out process of 3 weeks.) My Cocoa is perfectly healthy, and I will not be taking her back to Austin Bluffs Animal Clinic. I'm sure any of the other clinics in the area will be happy to do what I'm paying them for the first time.

This vet told us there was nothing he could do and charged 54 dollars and told us to go back to animal er. Now we are back at ER vet and the bill is even more because it's Friday night.

These people are amazing. An absolute blessing for me and my family in a time of need. We had our dear Great Dane that was 13.5 years old and it was her time to leave this earth. I contacted them and Cheryl was very understanding. She took the time to explain to me what to do and what to expect. When we arrived, they were all extremely accommodating and understanding to our family. Once our "baby" had closed her eyes for the final time, the tech that was in the room shared in our tears and offered to pray with us. This was truly touching. It was our sign from God that it was time to go and it gave us confirmation, and gave us closure during a tough time. Real people, really caring, they are excellent. Thank you.

This practice is a loving place for your pets. They take extra care with your pet to make it and you feel cared for. The staff welcomes you like family, the Doc's are knowledgeable and willing to take time to explain medicine and procedures with you. My little girls love them and so do I. I recommend them for all your pets needs.
