Amazing knowledgeable doctor's that practice with compassion making difficult times easier. Would highly recommend to anyone having serious issues with their pet in need of a specialist.

We have been going here for years now, and it's fantastic. Our regular vet now suggests this place for care outside of regular business hours. Friendly staff, great doctors, and reasonable prices for after hours care. A great asset to have in the community.

Efficient and caring but not inexpensive. That's to be expected with any emergency vet.

I don’t know if they did everything they could, but our dog was put down rather hastily. Going to take a lot of time to heal from this experience.

The staff has been wonderful over the years, caring for several of our pups in emergency or crisis situations. The initial visit is a little higher than the average vet office visit, but they provide 24 hr care and availability along with diagnostic capabilities; follow up appointments are very comprable in cost. Fantastic for emergencies and hospitalization needs - I really appreciated that I could call at ANY hour, to get a status/update - putting my mind at ease so I could actually sleep instead of worry all night long. The staff always went to great lengths to accommodate us with our urgent or emergency situations with several of our pets over the years; we live about 45 minutes away (or longer with traffic), and they would be awaiting our arrival and meet us at the door, to whisk them to the back to be stabilized - we would call as we were enroute. They are very caring and compassionate, not only for our pets, for us as pet parents as well. Very grateful to have emergency services and staff available "after-hours" - our emergencies always hit on Friday nights, or weekends, afterhours for all local vets. Highly recommended.

I wish I could use them as my regular vet

Pat Simoni

Excellent facility with great staff. The Vet explained everything to us so we could understand. We would definitely return to this facility with an Emergency or for a specialist consult.

Very knowledgeable and courteous. Addressed every concern I had about my fur baby appropriately. Great job!

Steven Arciaga

Took excellent care of our dog and made sure he made it through the night. He ingested something that made him real sick and he is only 3 lbs puppy. Thanks Silicon Valley Vet! Steven

All I can say is be sure to get a second opinion before having any surgery on your pet. Everyone at Silicon Valley Vet Specialists was very nice but Dr. Ryan Wheeler completely misdiagnosed our cat. Our cat had severe swelling on the left side of his face, his eye was completely swollen shut and he had a fever. Dr. Wheeler diagnosed a mass behind the left eye and said the eye needed to be removed to access the possible tumor. We were told at best our cat was going to lose an eye, at worst the tumor was malignant and we were going to lose our beloved family pet. We took our cat to Dr Harika at Morgan Hill Animal Hospital for a second opinion. Dr Harika diagnosed an abscess in our cat's cheek, drained it and placed a few stitches and prescribed some antibiotics. Our cat is completely healed and happy again and still has his eye! Thank goodness we got that second opinion or our cat would have gone through totally unnecessary surgery and lost an eye for no reason.

Just NO!!!! My dog suffered longer than she needed because that vet office never asked me anything about my dog or why I brought her in. They wanted money!! They let her suffer for more money!!! Horrible experience and basically my dog died as if I hadn’t tried to take her in and euthanize her more humanely. I never understood what they were doing and they never took responsibility for their strange actions that led to my dog suffering longer than she needed. All they needed to do was ask me and talk to me. But they whisked my dog away and let her SUFFER longer than she needed, or I intended. And then the vet was rude to me. Like it was my fault they were standing around my dying dog and not doing anything.... like euthanizing her.... which is why I brought her in!!!! Hope they get it now.

My cat was having breathing problems, they diagnosed him with asthma and were very strait forward about treatment options. They are open 24 hours and only 15 minutes from my house. Very happy they were able to get my cat diagnosed and treated. Highly recommend this place.

Saving my 8yr old Rot/Lab currently. There open 24/7 and last night at 10pm I need that, I was told she wouldn't have made it threw the night. I'm very grateful and they have been great with communication and care. She's doing well after surgery.

If you love your dog do. not take it to this place. They dont care about your pet but your money. I took my dog when she was showing parallelism symptoms She was treated being poisoned, with out knowing What she had, She went in coma while in there care and never did anything to her. They ask us to pick her up and said they didn't find poison in her body. But she was treated for this reason. My dog died. They never gave us a reason why. They will take your money upfront and careless whatever happens to your pet

I can't thank you all enough for your kind treatment of my baby, during his last moments and your compassion towards us as we said goodbye, unexpectedly. I wish I was in the mind-space to have gathered your names to thank you, personally... but, know we appreciate you and we are so grateful we had that last moment with him.

Tiffany vargas

We've gone to them for 2 of our dogs now, one of the dogs was a major surgery. They were amazing about updating us. Let us visit him whenever we wanted. They are just so friendly, professional and you can tell they care about your pet.

Outstanding care! We had to take our dog here on a Friday night at 1 am and were truly impressed by the friendly staff and the attention we got from the the doctors and technicians. They were able to run a full set of diagnostics, including ultrasound , the problem was diagnosed, we got medication - all in the middle of the night. For routine appointments, you actually see the vet on schedule - and don't have to wait for hours. All the modern diagnostic equipment is available. The staff shows loving care. There is always a follow up call, and the advice given over the phone is detailed and specific. Couldn't ask for anything more. Highly recommended!

My 14 year old Lab/Great Dane rescue starting barfing and panting at 10pm, a sign that my regular vet said would be the signal to put him to sleep (he also had bad hips and was a large dog). I called to see if that was a service they provided as it's not a typical emergency. I was pleased to have Boone handled gently and humanely in his final hour and couldn't have asked for more caring staff. I would highly recommend this vet.

This pet clinic is a scam like others have mentioned. My dog was bit by another dog and I brought her in for emergency care. She had two bites that were not too deep, but the vet said she needed all sorts of things done to her. They estimated her recovery to be $500! My dog unfortunately was bit before five years ago and had similar injuries and another vet only charged $80. This clinic had very rude staff as well who were only interested in upcharging me. They had me wait 2 hours plus! They wouldn’t let me see my dog and when I came in to get an estimate time they ignored me. Do not come here!!!

I will always be grateful for the kind way they treated us when our dog was hit by a car and was dead on arrival. They are compassionate and caring. They gave us time with our dog. They were very kind in our loss. I am so grateful that besides his collar he was microchipped. They immediately called us when he was brought there. I can't thank them enough.

I have seen over 5 offices and numerous vets for my dog. No one seemed to know what was wrong with him and why he kept having digestive issues. I took my Aussie here and Dr.Moore and his staff were and continue to be extremely nice and helpful. Dr.Moore diagnosed him and was able to come up with a meal plan that worked for my dog. His health started improving right after the new food suggestion. Out of 5 offices, only SVVS knew what is wrong with my dog and diagnosed him with IBD. Very thankful and I continue to come to their office.

Better than Animal Hospital.

Thank you guys for being there when putting my dog down named rocky ( 10 years since I had her ) my poodle due to suffering to cancer. She was my best friend and I can’t stop thinking about her everyday. She left so unexpectedly we went to take her to see why she want panting really hard. Then she was diagnosed with cancer in the throat and there was nothing they could do because it just too big to rid of. And then later never came home. I miss her so much I didn’t get to say goodbye.

Patrick Larabell

Brought my dog in with stomach issues, mentioned she had eaten toilet paper, the doctors did an incomplete exam and assumed she had an obstruction and needed surgery. After charging $3500 and making us feel guilty when we couldn’t afford the $9000 surgery the next day, we took her elsewhere for a second opinion and found that there was no obstruction. The doctor was unfriendly and seemed that he wanted to talk to me as quickly as possible and move on. I would not go back to this vet in an emergency, and if you do, I would not mention any ideas you may have about what is wrong with your animal.

Nancy Lance

Can't say enough about this organization. We have an Engli$h Bulldog who has had to visit 3 different times for three different random reasons. The expertise, exceptional care and 24/7 availability is simply the best in the area!!!

Dr. Moore has been the best vet we've ever had. He's honest, kind and really loves animals. He treats our dogs like his own. One of our dogs has Cushings Disease and so does Dr. Moore's dog. He's very up to date on the latest and most effective treatments. He doesn't prescribe unnecessary medicines. Dr. Moore is a straight shooter and doesn't run unnecessary tests or suggest unnecessary treatments just to make a more money., Your family member is in awesome hands with Silicon Valley Vet Specialists. The staff members get to know your dog and really care. Daniel, Tracey and everyone there work there because they love animals and are determined to nurse sick dogs/cats, etc. back to good health.

Scam Scam Scam. I have to admit. They are great sales man. They seemed they care about my dog but I feel that they care about how much they can get. I took my dog because I though she is getting blind and limping. After 10mins exam, they said that "she need MRI and knee surgery ASAP and will cost 10K. If she doesn't get the surgery done within few days she will never walk again." So of course I panicked but at the same time I had a doubt so I took my dog to other veterinary clinic and she was perfectly fine. Because of their wrongful exams, my dog have bad medical history. I highly recommend not to take your pets.

Jennifer M. Rodkey

I brought my beloved cat Neville to them when he was sick and I have never experienced such compassion and empathy for a veterinary staff. Everyone there from the doctors to the receptionist is so incredibly kind and supportive. You will NOT find a better place to take your pets to in all of Virginia.

Having been badly ripped off by Dr. Baye Williamson (Neurology) and Dr. Beau Bedell (Emergency) at Silicon Valley Veterinary Specialists (SVVS), I just wanted to leave a review with a hope to help other pet parents avoid being scammed by this clinic. I've never dealt with such outrageously odd medical charges from a Vet clinic like this before! From 1,298.00 - $3,544.08, $1,226.00 - $2,102.00, $2,811.62 - $4,619.18, $4,090.94 - $6,282.22 to $7,868.54 - $16,066.52 during 5/14, 5/15 and 5/16 for which should have only cost between $600 - $800 (according to quotes from other clinics). All of my hard earned money I saved for my 2 children ended up wasting on this clinic for my heathy 4 years old Shih Tzu - Bella for multiple unnecessary treatments these Vets forced me to pay without clarifying what they were exactly for, not to mention the condition my dog was supposed to be treated from less than a minute minor attack by another dog, which caused a small crack on her skull, scratches on her right eye + small cuts on her skin and exhaustion turned out to be misdiagnosed that left her with a terribly infected eye and untreated small cuts that turned into abscesses... Dr. Baye Williamson instead treated her with a brain disease, and forced me to get the MRI to scan her brain which 2 hours after the MRI she called me back and said the same thing just like before MRI, "your dog just needs time to heal that's all!". How unscrupulous! Clearly, my dog's condition didn't require an advance scan like MRI if the Vet was that fast to find nothing to be concerned about! I did ask her for just an X-ray! Yes, I have pictures, scans and other substantial evidences to prove all of these! Other Vets at other clinics looked at all the pages of charges for lab work / monitoring... I had done on my dog and was horrified and disgusted by SVVS! Not only misdiagnosis, intentional wrongdoing but also fraudulent unprofessionalism, delay in treatment, running unnecessary tests, over testing, excessive prescribing, ineffective medicines and unhygienic vet facility. There were at least 10 things this clinic violated; however, I'll try to keep this as brief as possible: - Wrong treatment for her infected right eye which caused her infection to worsen, and no treatment or medicine for the cuts on her skin. (Spending that much time examining MRI on my dog's brain for nothing while they could have just simply helped my dog relax by cleaning and disinfecting her eye and skin.) - 3 hours delay in treatment after I checked in after hours on 5/14 (After a 10 minutes brief exam, Dr. Bedell left and was busy hiding at the back trying to rip me off, then half an hour later sent a tech assistant to get me signed for all nonsense charges which she didn't have the knowledge to advise. Besides, each time I came round for check ups, it took them over 1 hr to prep for my dog before coming out to let me in). - Outrageously unnecessary MRI and Radiograph 3D which another Vets (from other clinics) would have only performed an X-ray. - Ridiculous extra charges for consultations when it was supposed to be short explanations for why they wanted to charge me for what services. - Total negligence during the 3 days they made me agree to have my dog held (I had to take those 3 days off work to be at their clinic to protect and feed my dog myself!). But that wasn't all, Dr. Baye Williamson even tried to screw me further by trying to make me pay for Craniotomy surgery for my dog for another $16,066.52! How would cutting up my dog's skull and brain further help when my dog already had a small skull crack from the attack? She did not have a brain disease or a tumor from a minor attack which lasted less than a minute, and was never required a Craniotomy as explained by other Vets (from other clinics). The crack on the skull simply needed medicine to heal not surgery to open it up wider! How would aggravating the skull crack for a chance to lose memories even leading to death able to help the dog heal faster? (Read my Yelp Review for more.)

This place is always here for you. Amazing staff, clean and inviting.

We came in with our 15 year old cat, he was in critical condition. Deep down we knew he wasn't going to make it. The doctor was very knowledgeable and gave it to us straight. It was very a devastating day knowing we had to put our lil Simba down. A week later we recieved a card from the staff. We really appreciate how kind and informative the staff was.

Never have a felt just compassion from a group of vets and staff. I came in with my puppy whose spat incision had opened up. The reassurance they made me feel through out such a scary and traumatic experience was just calming. Dr. Moore is truly the best vet I have ever come across and I am so grateful there are people and places like this out there to take care of our fur babies.

Took my 18 yr old cat Misty to see them on a Friday night, she had an open anal gland. they were very nice, caring, explained everything, and took great care of her. Grateful they are so close and convenient if I am to need them for future vet needs.

I wish I could give no stars! This place is terrible. We got there at 9pm with our dog who was vomiting and having bathroom issues. They said it wasn’t severe and we had to wait till the 3 patiences were seen before us. Then 2 cases with the exact SAME problems came in and were seen before us and we’ll as one other emergency. After 2 hours of waiting and multiple vomit bouts for our dog they said we were next. A half an hour later there was magically one person in front of us so I mentioned that we were told we were next so how was there one person ahead of us now? They said oh don’t worry we will put you in a room next. Doctor comes in and is no help because they will only run tests is we hospitalize our dog but they she looked terribly sick. We chose our patience Care with some fluids and nausea medication, which my dog has received multiple occasions without any problems. When they gave her the infections she screamed for a good minute or two and then proceeded to tell us that the anti nausea medication burns so that’s why she yelled, like I said has never happened before. No way on earth were we keeping our dog here. They say she isn’t sick, make us wait forever and then tell us we need to hospitalize her because she is SOOO sick. Well maybe you should see your patience in a reasonable time frame and not take other patience before with the same symptoms. I’m very dissatisfied with their care and lack of compassion. I will NEVER go back here again.

Kind considerate care

This place is fantastic! Price are more like regular vets office and not high like most emergency pet hospitals!

My experience was wonderful, Tracy was a breath of fresh air she is very outgoing and accommodating.... Dr Wheeler, was outstanding.... I like to know what they would do when it comes to their own pets... I asked him what he would do... He gave me the choices and understood Shaggy is a vital member of my house...

I think these people should not be allowed to work with animals or people. I can honestly say that this was the worst exsperiance with any medical staff my whole life. And I am 56. Don't take your animal there. They will allow your animal to die. And charge ridiculous amounts of money.

Mike Hunt

I took my kitten in because he seemed to be basically dying. Doctor checked him, we gave him two different medicines, left and right when I got home he was acting the same way he was when I first got him. Amazing service and very good prices! Thank you so much.

Julie Mapula

I’ve been here with my dog and kitty and both times I felt like the staff did everything they could to help me in both situations. They were caring and very responsive in both situations. I would highly recommend coming here when your fur babies aren’t feeling good.

Karen Sherry

Very kind staff especially Dr. Ryan Wheeler who cared for both me and my kitty cat. Thank you again

Excellent loving care for our very large Bullmastiff who has anxiety with vet visits. I wish we could bring him here for all routine vet visits...I've simply never witnessed him being relaxed after a procedure. Timely follow up care check in calls. Highly recommend this clean, professional, kind, skilled vet hospital with reasonable pricing in an emergency as well.

These people are nothing but scammers and con artists. I took my dying dog there in October 2015. They euthanized him and we paid for a cremation and photo box for his ashes, up front. Big mistake. It is now April 2016 and I still have no ashes, no cremation and no photo box. They probably just threw my dog out like trash and kept the $ for themselves. I've received zero follow-up from them. I will be reporting them to the better business bureau and reporting the vet's license who stole $ from us. This is not, by far, the last they have heard from me. You should be ashamed of yourselves.. October 2016! Update to my review: they still are "having trouble locating records for this incident" it's very simple. You either have a dead dog sitting in your freezer since October or you have ashes un-claimed sitting somewhere since October. The fact that they have located neither and are still refusing to answer any questions or provide any resolve is further proof to my point. They have no idea what they did with my poor dog!!

Marie Monahan

We have had to have several emergency care visits for both our rescue dogs. Each time, regardless of how busy the hospital may have been, we and our dogs were always greeted with gentle, loving care. They have performed miracles for our dogs and I would not think of bringing them anywhere else. The staff is remarkable, the doctors are incredible. Special thanks to all who care for those creatures who have no words and thank you so much for your patience in dealing with us humans.

It has taken a long time to do this review because of my grief. I had such a hard time getting over my Mickey. However i feel it is necessary to say how wonderful this hospital is. I have had to put pets down before but I have never been treated with such respect and dignity. I originally came in for a second opinion, as my vet at the time said over the phone well just come in and I will put him down. Those were her very words ! So I went to Silicon Valley for an opinion and the Dr. who saw Mickey said, we could spend about 4-7 thousand to try but , I really think you have done a good job keeping him alive for as long as you have, it may be time to say good bye. How eloquently put! My poor Frenchie was born with a small breathing tube and was on medication his whole life, he almost made it to ten years old. I knew that the Dr. was saying it was ok to let him go, and Mickey knew it was time. We made arrangements to come back to euthanize, and they took us into a special room and said take your time, when the time came , the Dr. explained everything she was going to do. I had Mickey on my lap, she gave him the first shot and he kissed her good bye. Even the Dr. was in tears at this point. After everything was over. about 3 days later I received a wonderful card that the whole office signed. I can't tell you how much that meant!!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Our pets, we love them, right? It's the reason as to why all of you are willing to immediately go to an animal emergency care center when you learned that your pet's health is in danger. However, like many other things in life, you will find wretched scums who will try to exploit this innocent love. This place, is filled with these kind of people. I would've remained ignorant of this, if it weren't for the fact that I've experienced it firsthand for myself. I have a cat, who swallowed a 1.5 inch needle. I wasn't certain he swallowed it at the time, so I immediately looked for an emergency care center, and ended up taking him here to get an x-ray. I paid $410 dollars out of my pocket, anxious to know the results. However, I ended up having to spend for an agonizing 2.5 hours, when they originally claimed that they could get it done in 30 minutes. When I asked why it took so long, they claimed that they were "busy," despite the fact that there were only two other patients. The results came in, and it was confirmed: My cat did swallowed a needle. The worry on my face was obvious. One of the staff, seeing this, clearly wanted to exploit this, for he said that to get the needle removed "right now," it would cost more than $9000. Right after he said that, he shrugged, and gave another offer, which is to pay $5500 to get it removed tomorrow morning. If it weren't for the fact that a family member earlier told me that an emergency surgery would've costed approximately $1000 - $2000, I've fallen for this trap. The person showed no compassion as I got my cat back, needle still in his stomach. Before leaving, I asked for a copy of the x-ray image. They said they will email it to me by 6AM next morning, but I've never received it. I left the building, and looked back, only to see that same person laughing with the others. I knew then, that I absolutely cannot trust this place. As I got home, I instantaneously looked for another location. That same day, I found a local vet in Evergreen, with a very straightforward doctor who offered that we pay $1500 for x-ray, needle removal, AND medicine, all in one package. I immediately took his offer, and now, my cat is jumping about once again, a needle gone from his stomach. But, it wasn't over yet. Believe or not, this scam disguised as a hospital called me a week later in an attempt to milk even more money out of me, oblivious to the fact that my cat already made the recovery. It wouldn't take a genius to know that I hung up at the spot.

Charlie O

Worst veterinary clinic in the bay. Refused to even give me an estimate on CTscans for a Chihuahua. When a company refuses to tell you how much something costs it's usually because they are trying to scam you. Stay away from this place!
