Dr. Yelnik is wonderful. When I first moved to California I needed a gentle, thorough doctor for my lab who was diagnosed with cancer. Dr. Yelnik comes to our house to check on my pup. He is efficient and gentle - exactly what we were looking for. My lab is healthy today. Thank you for always being available.

We were referred to Dr.Dirk through a friend last year. The staff provided my husband with comfort while I was traveling and we had taken in an abandoned unwell kitty. We later took our resident kitty there whom has sensitivity with his system and they were great with him. Recently, we provided our resident kitty with some food that may have been disagreeable to his system and they were readily available to see him. They are wonderful with follow/up. We now have another abandoned stray that we’ve taken in for a kitty cold and looking forward to Dr. Cheng providing some relief and care. Highly recommend this place! They’ll make you feel better about your situation and honesty! So grateful.

I love Dr. Yelinik and his staff. But more importantly my dog loves going there. She jumps out of the car and literally runs to get inside. Dr. Yelinik is patient and caring and takes the time to just be with her before doing any kind of exam. I never feel rushed and always feel listened to. He clearly cares and his love for animals is the real deal! His staff is just as wonderful, always friendly and courteous and just a nice group of people. If you're looking for a great vet you need not look any further!

We have been taking our cats to Redondo Shores since we first adopted them 7 years ago. They are extremely shy cats as they had been rescued and all of the doctors and staff who have seen them through the years have been extremely gentle and caring. Max has had Melanoma and Sam has had various skin issues which have required surgery. Dr. Dirk has been a constant source of comfort for us and has an excellent bedside manner. We get Max's nails trimmed at their facility and I am always amazed at how calm he is with them when he would scratch and escape every time we have tried. We love everything about their facility and have never had a less than satisfying experience with our cats.

The staff is very friendly and kind. My kitten coughed up a worm and they were able to see him within 30 minutes. The veterinarian is extremely knowledgeable and gives thorough explanations which made me feel very reassured. We will be coming here for all of his care in the future. :)

Redondo Shores is the gold standard in Veterinary Care! Staff is friendly, welcoming and professional. Both doctors and the vet assistant are patient, thorough and very personable. My dog loves being here from the moment we walk in the door. The approach of the doctors is more holistic (alternatives to surgery and meds, when possible) than other practices we have used. We can walk here, but it's nice to know that house calls can be made. My dog had a badly infected cyst and Dr. Yelinek's approach was to try antibiotics and warm compresses, instead of surgery, as an immediate action. They called frequently to follow up on my dog's progress to make sure he was improving. My pooch also had a teeth cleaning and surgery to remove a fatty tumor. Great results and the pricing seemed to be comparable to other practices we have used.

My German Shepherd and I saw Dr. Yelinek and he was awesome! We only came in for routine vaccinations and he probably spent 30 minutes talking to us, petting our dog, and getting to know her and her history. I will definitely return to this location if ever needed.

We recently moved to Redondo Beach and were needing to secure a new veterinarian for our pup. Ladybird is especially shy and has a hard time connecting to others, so we were anxious about how the initial vet visit would go. Dr. Yelinek sat on the floor with Ladybird and gave her treats and did the entire exam in a way that never stressed her. He was patient, kind, and understanding - it really put us, as dog parents, at ease to see Ladybird warm so quickly to a vet. The nurses and office staff were also great - very kind and ultra professional. They even texted a few days after our visit to check on Ladybird and see how she was doing. We are so impressed with this clinic and look forward to a long relationship with them.

I was pregnant my first visit with him 30 years ago now my children use him as their Vet along with my mom, sister, friends, and peers. He is one of a kind, hands on, personable, and listens to his patients and their humans with a caring, compassionate bedside manner. He is an excellent diagnostician of animals and has saved, prolonged, and cured my pets through the years. He has delicately guided me into making difficult decisions when my pets needed it, then gently aided in their end of life care with comfort being the first priority for my pet and for me. This was my first time here and Dr Cheng took great care of my bichon frise on Saturday as he was suffering from a spreading skin infection due to allergies. I LOVE this clinic!!! Dr. Yelinek is the best!!! I take my Cavalier King Charles dogs to him for chiropractic adjustments and laser treatments. He is also very knowledgeable about Chinese herbs and will recommend them if your pet requires them and the owner is accepting of their use. That being said he, of course uses Western medicine as well. I foster dogs and many of them come into rescue having unknown issues. I take them to Dr. Yelinek to get a once over and I find the chiropractic adjustments make a huge difference. Several dogs have had issues with their spines and hind ends. I notice that they walk funny and/or do not carry their tails upright (a must for all Cavvys) after several treatments, all my dogs have shown vast improvement! The chiro treatments also improve their attitudes because when the dogs are no longer in discomfort, they are happy! Duh! Dr. Yelinek also takes time to get to know the dog, approaching them very slowly. One of my fosters was a biter, Dr. Y didn't shy away from him but took time to let the pup trust him. Now the dog goes absolutely nuts with happiness when we visit. Of course, 'Charlie' is also totally in LOVE with Melodie the receptionist (and she, with him!!). Speaking of Melodie, she is a wonderful, wonderful receptionist! She always remembers to call me for follow ups and gives us a call just to see 'how we are'! How is that for a caring vet clinic???!!! They always get me in as soon as possible and I really appreciate when I call last minute and they are able to accommodate us! I highly, highly recommend this clinic!
