Good place, very nice to make a plaster mold of my dog's paw after we had to put him down.

Rancho has been our vet for over 10 years. We have taken several dogs, cats and even our rabbit there. They offer great service and have been wonderful when we had to (sadly) put animals down. I would highly recommend them.

The Staff is great. The Vet...actually knows what he is talking about and is very personable Diagnosis...right on the nose. I would not take my 2 darlings anywhere else.

This is like Comfort Dental and other places to upscale and charge you extra money. Came in to get a renewal of medications my own Vet in COLORADO prescribed. The Vet here said that the medication is all wrong and that I needed to buy his medication which was more expensive. He also wanted my dog to have a urine analysis costing $366. I called my Vet, Aspen Park Vet Hospital. They said of they do the Unrine analysis it was only $40, and if they sent it out then it was $60. These guys are a total cost gouging scam artist. In fact the vet here had never heard of the medication my dog was already on. DON'T TRUST THEM!

I started taking my rescue dog, Bella, to Dr. Kang at Rancho Sequoia a little over a year ago after a friend who takes his pups to Dr. Kang spoke highly of him. I drive quite a bit out of my way to see Dr. Kang because he's taken very good care of Bella since she's been his patient. When she was first rescued from the shelter, she had a nasty open wound in her ear that two other Vets were not able to get healed properly. Dr. Kang suggested a procedure that ended up working beautifully. Bella's ear is all healed and hasn't been an issue since. Dr. Kang and his staff are kind, efficient, helpful and good at what they do. Dr. Kang is able to explain any illness or injury and it's corresponding treatment very well and is very patient when answering any questions I have. The staff have been working on updating their offices, which are extremely clean and pleasant (not always the case with veterinary hospitals). The prices are fair and I've never felt pressured into needless procedures or medications. I recommend you give them a try!

Cristina Wetherston

All staff super nice. Dr Kang is very caring and they even have an activity for children in waiting room. I loved this place.

Anna Scales

Dr. Kang and his staff genuinely care about both your pet and you! I have two dogs that they have taken care of for years. Dr. Kang and his staff thoroughly explain all procedures and are always available to answer any subsequent questions you may have. If you are looking for an honest, caring veterinarian and support staff, these are the folks you will want to entrust your best friends with!

California Doggers

Im a dogman I work my dogs regularly out in the field and my dogs need a good vet, Dr. Kang provides my dogs with excellent service. I've stayed with Dr. Kang because he has a personal stake in my dogs health, he is thorough and effective in treating my dogs and healing them back up. Sequoia Vet is the only vet I call. I've called them before with a problem and they had me in seeing Dr. Kang the same morning. When I go in there the staff knows my dogs names and my alpha male who normally goes after shady people loves them and treats them like family. Ranch Sequoia Vet 100%

So happy I found a fantastic vet for my snakes! Extremely friendly staff, I felt that my snake Dexter was in good hands! They were able to get me in the next day after I called for an appointment to have him looked at. The receptionist Charlie was also super helpful! Definitely excited to say I will be using them as my go-to snake vet (since I’ve got multiple snakes)! They even called to check in on him a few days after the appointment to see how he was doing! Highly recommend!!

New patient to this practice...brought my little rescue dog for her check up. Wonderful treatment from the minute I walked in...from front desk to assistant to the Doctor. Everything was very clean and I especially liked that dogs and cats had a separate waiting area. So glad I switched.

We had a great experience! They took great care of Bandit and Gemma and were very nice and informative!

Brought my 10 year old dog in for a loss of appetite. Vet suggested it could be pancreatitis, or it could be related to a grade 4 heart murmur. Suggested that I leave my dog for further examination. Offered us a choice of a $600 to $800 dollar examination, or one for $1,400 that would include medicines, subcutaneous fluids, and vitamins. Which medicines, fluids, and vitamins remains a mystery. How these things would help pancreatitis and murmurs is also a mystery. Doctor examined my dogs eyes using an ophthalmoscope while standing 4 feet away. I forgive him for not noticing my dog's huge cataract. He was standing far away. And, that was not what we were there for. But, why go through the motions if you are not competent in the first place? I left there feeling totally ripped off for the $34 dollars that I paid for such a poor examination. Was painfully obvious that these people have zero compassion for your pet and are only in it for the money. The suggested treatments sounded both ridiculous and expensive. I always have in mind whenever I need to visit a professional that 10 percent of them graduate from the bottom 10 percent of their class. I would not use this place. In my opinion it was a waste of time and money.

They were very kind and gave the vaccinations that were needed to our dog without the dog even whimpering. Thanks for the great service.

Justin Kline

My wife and I love this place so much! They are so kind and patient with our animals. We have two dogs that go here, one is a senior citizen and needs special attention. The staff is kind and the vet is great and very knowledgeable.

Everyone was and always is so friendly and helpful. Boomer seems to love everyone!

Rancho Sequoia has taken good care of my animals. The Doctor is polite and good with the animals and seems as though he cares.

John Dee

Dr Kang is great. Cares about the animal with no pressure to do elective procedures; he let's you decide. The entire office staff also cares about the pets and they seem to enjoy where they work. Dr Kang has a good sense humor and I'm happy to give him my money.

I’ve been taking my beagle to Rancho Sequoia Vet since I got her in 2008. The staff has always been professional, kind, compassionate, and helpful! Dr. Kang is very knowledgeable and always has his patient’s best interest and care in mind. Having an aging pet is difficult, but I know at Rancho Sequoia I will always get quality care for my dog and they will love and care for her as much as I do.

It is a wonderful veterinarian place. The nurses, staff and Dr. Kain take wonderful care of our 2 dogs Toby and Maisy and our 1 cat CC.

TENNY KENDRYNA

We have been going to Rancho Sequoia for many years. They are all very nice and we have been treated very well. They have had a turnover of vets since we began going there so long ago. They have all been knowledgeable. Dr. Kang the current vet explains things very well to us. We had to put one of our cats down 4 years ago. She was 18. Dr. Kang told us what needed to be done to keep her going, meds, IV for the rest of her remaining time. We put her down 10 days later. She was in too much pain. Her quality of life was bad. The Dr. and techs were very sympathetic and we appreciated all their kindness. We've mainly had cats over the years, but 4 years ago we adopted a dog, Daisy. The office continues with their great service with her. They send us emails/letters when shots/checkups are due, which they've always done with our cats.

I called this place and talked to a relatively friendly worker to make an appointment. When I brought my cat in, they took us back and the person who I assumed was the vet took my cat's "rectal temperature" but without gloves which seemed weird, took the weight too but on a baby scale. It wasn't the vet though. I guess it was the assistant since I still had to wait for someone else. When the vet came in, he said I should get a bunch of tests ran on my cat and told me the costs, which were way out of my price range. I felt kind of odd about it though so I went to get my cat checked out at another vet and they told me that the tests weren't necessary. I think these guys just want to make money off our animals.

Dr. Kang, Ernesto, and the staff at Rancho Sequoia are dedicated to making your vet visit a great experience. They know all of our names, and the dogs love Dr. Kang and staff. They understand my dogs' needs and I don't have to sit in a crowded waiting room for an hour or more. I am confident that my pets are getting the very best care.

I was really surprised to hear about them taking in strays - not sure I believe that at all. They had no problem letting my dog run out of her seizure medication after 2 years of refilling the prescription until I could afford to schedule an office visit and tests. Of course they waited until she was down to her last pill before informing me that they wouldn't refill the prescription. That's called "leverage". Could we do the office visit and tests today then I pay you when I get paid next week? No. Could we get a weeks worth of meds to hold us over until I get paid? No. What we COULD do was apply for their credit card or borrow the money from someone. Other than that, hope your dog lives. We've been taking our animals there for 14 years, paid cash, never had a billing issue. Honestly I wouldn't bring an animal here unless I really didn't care about it. Then I'd be on the same page with them. Stick to the credit card business Rancho Sequoia Veterinary Hospital, it's all you have the heart for.

I called up Rancho Sequoia Veterinary Hospital with what I thought was a semi problem with one of my cats. They had me come in. It turned out to be much more serious than I had imagined. Dr. Kang took care of the problem right there and then. The whole staff is outstanding. Everyone made me feel welcome and the medical care is superb. Dr. Kang is one of the most caring vets I have ever met. You are in good hands at Rancho Sequoia.

Worst vet ever!!!!!! Gave my pet a medicine and made him even worse. My pet looks as if he is about to pass a away!!!! DONT DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE!!!!!

it might be unusual, but Pete'e is my little soul mate. We have brought each other through difficult times. Heart surgery for me, and now surgery to repair his knee and leg problem's. He means a great deal to me. I am some what ashamed that I waited so long to have - allow the surgery, for fear he might wind up impaired. Dr. Kang very skillfully shared the surgery process with me. He used a Video X-ray, show and tell, and talked me through the current condition. Then a surgery process show and tell, of how the surgery would be performed. Pete'e was so uncomfortable with out the surgery, and Dr. Kang was so confident in his consultation, so Pete'e has had the surgery and Thank You Dr. Kang he is doing very well!!

I can always count on the Vets and staff to take excellent and loving care of my friend Moses. The facility is clean and well kept up and very up to date medical care is provided.

WORST VET EVER SINCE DR. KANG TOOK OVER!!! Dr. Kang upsold us on a surgery for my dog that wasn't needed then didn't perform the surgery that we were upsold. The only way we found out about this is when we took her to another vet to clean up his mess and the new vet said that the gland that was suppose to be removed was in fact still there. Dr. Kang also blamed us in his notes for wanting the stitches out early which led to the wound being left open. Kind of shocking that we are not doctors but it was us making medical decisions on when stitches are suppose to be removed...I thought that was what a doctor was for. We are in the process of filing a complaint with the CA Vet board so that no one else has to go though this.

First, I had a 30 minute wait for a scheduled appointment. An extremely young, nervous technician assistant came in to get my cat's history and vitals. He was very unsure of himself and had poor animals skills. When the veterinarian came in, there was no apology for the wait. She spent 2 1/2 minutes with my pet, took him to the back for a test, and never came back into the room. This was not only the first time she ever saw my pet, it was his very first exam. No explanation, no opportunity for follow up questions. The unskilled technician assistant was given that task. he was clearly not trained to do this part of the veterinarian's job.I was handed some medication, again with no information or ability to ask questions or options, and whisked out of the room. This was followed by, what I can only conclude as the most important consideration to the owner. The collection of the bill! I will be searching for a new veterinarian immediately.

My dog is treated like a princess there. The staff and Doctor are very professional and understanding when it comes to questions. Thank you guys!!!

Great experience yesterday at Rancho Sequoia veterinarian hospital. Needed to get emergency treatment for our golden retriever, and the staff went above and beyond assisting us yesterday. Met at the front desk by kind and sweet Wyler, taken back for consultation with thorough and professional technicians, examined by the great Dr. Kang. Doctor and staff treated us with high levels of quality care and compassion. They reviewed medications with me thoroughly so I could implement the care routine at home. Prices were explain clearly and up front. I was able to make a same day appointment, and even graciously accommodated when I got stuck in traffic. I highly recommend this vet and their services. A hidden gem in Simi Valley.

Came in on a minutes notice. talked to doctor kang he was reasonable. Have A17 year old dog I don't know if they really understand that portion. Paid $420 for not much of anything at the moment still waiting results of test that were taken 36 hours ago.

Love this vet. Thoughtful and very caring.

We brought 2 of our 3 dogs in because we had a horrible experience with another vet who physically hurt 2 of our babies. They were in a lot of pain from anal glands being expressed. Rancho Sequoia Vet took us in the same day I called them without charging an "emergency fee" and treated us and our 2 babies very well. Super nice receptionist/nurse and very loving to our girls. We were seen pretty quickly by the Dr who confirmed my suspicions about the previous vet, tearing 1 rectum. The Dr was very nice and loving also and explained a lot for us. We will for sure bring our babies back here and will recommend this office to whomever asks about a good vet. Thank you so very much.

Andrea Medina

I have been going to Rancho Sequoia Veterinary Hospital for 17 years and I would not take my dogs anywhere else. Dr. Kang is very knowledgeable and great with all four of my babies.

Having been involved with breeding and showing dogs for 30 plus years it's a pleasure to find a vet that you can count on and have confidence in. Both large, small, senior and baby his knowledge and care is top notch.
