Cannot express my appreciation to all who work at this office. They are the most caring group of individuals ever. My little pug Aggie loved coming for her 'spa' day. When it was time to say good bye to our little girl after 13 years, they were kind, thoughtful and very accommodating. Thank you all for being there for us.

Decent service. Despite having to repeat myself multiple times to the same person, the service I recieved was professional. Other staff, however, were rude and pushy. One lady even almost stepped on my Shepherd, I had to jerk the leash to pull him out of the way. Service was annoyingly slow, but I can understand with construction going on. I had grooming scheduled for the next day, but was not told I'd have to pick him up four hours later until I was already dropping my pup off. When I went to pick him up I waited about thirty five minutes just for them to bring my dog out. The receptionist had to remind the nurses about my dog twice. That part didn't seem professional at all. I'm not bringing him here for a grooming again.

I've gone to multiple vets and although I live in Rancho Penasquitos and this is a long drive for me, it's definitely worth it. The staff are really friendly and the prices are AMAZING.

I love South Bay Veterinary Hospital! They have to be the best Veterinary I have ever used. The staff is super nice, understanding and will work with you no matter the situation. I was super nervous about taking my cat in to be neutered because I have never had an animal neutered before. They were very patient with me and my thousands of worries and hundreds of calls to check if he was okay. They never once have been rude and have always treated my babies with excellent care. I have never had to wait longer then 15 mins and most of the time I am in within 5 mins. I highly recommend South Bay!

I couldn't be happier with the service here! They have always been more than willing to help from me calling because I got lost on my way there (first time going+construction..it got a little confusing) to groomings to helping my dogs when they've been sick. They've been great!

I took my doberman pup to get his ears crpped, the vet left one ear longer than the other.

DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE UNLESS YOU DONT CARE ABOUT THEM. Very poor service down to the reception. Brought my older dog in for a wellness check and they ran a bunch of (expensive) tests including a urine test; dog immediately had a blockage in his urinary tract and could not pee. Brought him in again and they said he had stones although he was peeing just fine before they touched him. He had to be put down soon after because of their negligence.

Mary MacLaughlin

The staff and Vets are so great and have your pets interest at heart. Treating with care and empathy for a problem. Or just routine visits, they always can make you a quick appointment!! Never hesitate to call them!

Do not go here! Dr. Deo's negligence has cost me over $1500 in surgeries. I brought my dog here for blocked tear ducts. I was given eye drops to put in both eyes twice daily. I followed all of Dr. Deo's directions, but one of her eyes became swollen so I took her back in. As soon as I met with Dr. Deo he asked me if she was wearing her E-collar the whole time. I said no because he never gave me one or even suggested it. He then told me she scratched her eye and gave me new meds. If I was given the E collar in the first place this wouldn't have happened, but I decided I would try the new meds out before I argued that point. Her eye became much worse and we had to take her back in. He informed my husband that she needed surgery that would cost $410. When my husband asked them to take into consideration that they were responsible for this whole situation, they offered him a $10 discount... you've got to be kidding. They told him surgery would be done at 2. I called them to discuss the situation around 1:45 in which Dr. Deo claimed he offered me the E collar and I chose not to get it, and they had paperwork I signed proving it. When I asked to see the paperwork he changed his story, telling me that I was not offered the E collar because the injury was completely unrelated. He then told me he refused to do the surgery (which should've already been done) and to come pick my dog up. When my husband arrived they had already drugged her for surgery and handed my husband a limp doped up dog. Since then Ive had to spend countless hours and over $1500 fixing the problem he created. I was referred to an animal eye specialist who informed me that Dr. Deo isn't even qualified to preform that big of an eye surgery, and for $400 they had no idea what he was going to do.Ive had to take her to multiple vets who were disturbed when I tell them about this experience. After looking through his notes he faxed to my new vet, he actually wrote on my first visit's notes "Rec E collar" I don't write bad reviews very often, but this man is the worst person I've ever met. We all make mistakes, it's how you fix them that shows everyone who you really are.

Took my dog with imping foot, to see about what I thought was a foxtail in the rear paw, that we couldn't find and remove. They looked at it and in short order advised us of a bacteria infection , no foxtail. Got the right meds, a quick injection, daily foot baths at home, and hurray, a week later, all gone. Nice work.

I just received great service from Dr. Walker and Destiny. Very happy with the help and service I received. I am very very appreciative for them caring for my bulldog so much! My bully babies and I thank you SO much!!!

Elidhet Penagos

I am disappointed with the customer service here. I work all week, so when I made an appointment for grooming services it was the only day I could take my pup in. When I called the day of the appointment because I was going to be a bit late, I was told I had to come in later that day. After rearanging all my plans and rushing to get there on time, I waited 15 minutes to be told that the groomer had called out in an emergency that morning. While I sympathize with the groomer and hope all is well with them, I find fault with the receptionists. They should have told me to reschedule when I had called in earlier and not wasted my time and caused my pup unnecessary discomfort, or even called to tell me to rescedule! My whole day was wasted and now I have to wait another week for my pup to get an uncomfortable tangle out of his fur, in some of the hottest weather to top it all off. When I called to get some explanation the receptionist was unsympathetic. I only hope my experience with the groomer will be better.

The staff was very professional and welcoming! This place is a warm welcome if you’re experiencing pet troubles. The doctor’s assistant Ardel was knowledgeable and represents what you would hope for pre/post care. Dr. Jagpal spent time explaining all possibilities our kitten was experiencing, and best care moving forward. Thank you to the entire staff!

Phantasia Brendez

Absolutely amazing. Destiny is a gem! We came in Monday for a second opinion and our Delylah was in surgery today. They worked hard to assist us with the FACE foundation due to the nature of the surgery. They truly care and we are forever grateful. We will be taking both of our dogs here from now on. Thank you so much! Delylah wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you!

Previous client and decided to take my newest cat for an exam. Made an appointment for 5:30 and checked in at 5:20pm to get paperwork out of the way before my visit. Not only did I spend 40 minutes waiting in the lobby, but the lady who was ahead of me STILL hasn’t even been seen, meanwhile the two receptionist are gossiping about what happened in the back with other coworkers. Christina took her time entering my cats information and didn’t even get to making copies of vaccination records because she was gossiping. This place used to be packed before renovations on the building and that seemed to calm down once they were done but I feel that even though the building is much nicer and cleaner, the customer service has had a huge decline. I spent the longest time on the phone with Christina because she didnt know how to spell my husbands name or my cats name! What breaks my heart the most was that my cat didn’t even get to be seen and helped. Please spend your money elsewhere to get wayyy better customer service and the attention your pet(s) need.

Left my pet in good hands and she came out of her surgery well. They really took extra care in explaining the process pre & post surgery. Very caring staff :)

The most amazing ladies I have ever met! From the sweet gorgeous receptionist to the caring nurse to the awesome dr... these people are forever my heroes! I recently took my dog Osita to this vet a few days ago. This was the second time I had taken her to the vet this year and I know she hates it. I loved it! They were so kind and caring here, answered all of my questions(she is my first small dog being a pomchi), and made her feel 100% comfortable. She even got groomed the next day without having to be sedated(huge shock for me). They have always been very kind and caring and my dog feels a little more comfortable going there each time. Some people on here may have had some bac experiences, but all I can say is for me it was perfect! I couldn't have asked for better care for my dog.

Great pet hospital the prices are reasonable. I recommend this place. Wait time was good and staff was great. I would definitely go back

South Bay Veterinary Hospital is the only place I will take my pups...have been going to them for 20 + years...they are the best. Even tho I live in Bonita, I travel to the West side of town to make sure my dogs are getting the best care possible. I can't say enough about how attentive they all are and how knowledgeable and informative Dr. Deo is.

I've visited so many times with good results. Very kind staff members sonya was the greatest. But i will always feel sad about when i needed them the most. I brought my bunny to recieve emergency care in the evening.. I was quickly checked into a room the doctor literally just looked at my rabbit and pronounced there was nothing to do to save her and she was already dead. I put my head to her chest her heart still beating, eyes still moving around . the vet didnt even try to help her or consol us she just handed us a bill and and tryed to hand us another bill for body disposal. My heart broken i said i would take care of her burial. Then the vet continues to lecture me on were i can and cannot bury my own pet. So heart breaking. I know not all animals to be saved but try having a little heart were u charge me for just looking at her. She died in my arms. Im still heart broken. Im sorry it really wn

Jess !

The staff at South Bay Vet are very professional and caring towards my female cat Nina. They always understand my needs even under my budget, and are very attentive. I have never had a bad experience here and have been coming back for almost five years. I highly recommend this Vet for loving pet owners, you will have no regrets. Thanks South Bay Vet, see you on my next appointment!

Brought all three of my posse in for different procedures for a family appointment!!!! ..a wellness visit, and another for a Lyme shot, and my geriatric pussyfellow with long nails...everything went so smoothly, gently, professionally and friendly, a wrapped up with love. Dr Caroline and her staff rock it, happy dog and cats, and me too!

katherine Fontana

Love the place the doctors are precise and on point costumer service is the bomb!!!!

This is the most caring vet I have ever had. Dr, Deo and his staff care for my pets as if they were their own. Their hours almost make them available around the clock.

Frodo Villa

Always received courteous and caring help from everyone here. The staff is great and sensitive about my sick dog. They would do what is always best for your baby. Sadly I had to put my baby in Doggy Heaven, however, even though they were closing, I got to spend as much time needed to give my baby her final goodbyes. I will always bring my babies here because I feel that they truly care and have great doctors as well.

VICTORIA FLORES

Brought my dog here close to 5 months ago because he had a seizure (has had them for close to 7 years) they did his blood work because it hadn’t been done in a while. I needed a prescription sent to the pharmacy for the meds he was already on around 3 months later and I was told they couldn’t because he hadn’t been seen for that issue. (He had) They wanted me to make another appointment and pay more money for something I had already done. Today, I took my dog in to get a certificate of health because we’re flying to another state. Another vet told me it would be $28. So I figured even if it was more at this vet it wouldn’t be crazy. My fault for not checking! It was $175. OVER 6 times what the other vet told me. This place charges way too much.

Went to this vet in an emergency as they were the only one open nearby. We have had to visit a few times this week as they gradually repair our new kitty. They have been WONDERFUL! Such great service from the reception staff, the vet tech (Ardel) and the vet (Dr Deo). They have kept us fully informed, shown great skill and care and even gave us a special price as we were dealing with a very injured feral rescue kitten. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Oh! And they are open 7 days a week, from early to late, which is also really useful.

The staff is always professional, caring & pleasant!

Cynthia Simon-Arndt

The staff are wonderful. The doctors are kind and thorough. They call you and keep you informed every step of the way when your pet is having tests, surgery, or complex diagnoses. They take walk ins without appointments and have great hours. They are open 7 days a week and holidays. The groomers are superb. All this great service and the cost is much less than other vets that aren't as good. AND they are as good with cats as with dogs (the vets and the groomers), which not all vet offices are. A+++!

Ekaterina Dzyuba

terrible service, we paid a lot of money to make ear cropping for our Doberman, they ruined the ears and one didn’t get up, we took the dog to another specialist in Riverside who was shocked by the work done, do not contact this veterinary hospital. They also treat animals badly, after removing the stitches, they gave me a dog by bleeding and did nothing. horror!!!

My dog had a follow up this day so we came in at 12:45 our appt was at 1pm . They called our name at 12:55 and took her temp and told us the dr will be right in. 25 mins later a nurse came in and ask if we were being helped and I told her about 25 mind ago. She left and the the other doc came in about 10 more mins. I got up to leave the dr said there was a surgery emergency. He ask me if he could help me I said it’s ok and left. Customer service really SUCKS. And will not be going there no more. I guess they could make more money doing a surgery and my dogs follow up. It’s all about da money.

I took my 9 week puppy here for an emergency appointment on 3/12/2019, my other regular vets didn't have time slots available. The vet told me the puppy was "fine" and advised me on generalized wellness care (such as vaccinations and spay). My puppy was already vaccinated and dewormed and was acting sick. They suggested bloodwork (just a CBC) and send me home with a hot water bottle. Didn't do anything else. Said the bloodwork results would be in that evening. Within 18 hours my puppy died. I called the vet around lunch after I handled the burial to let them know what happened and to ask about the bloodwork and request a refund since I no longer needed results, which they said weren't even in at that time. After I was advised they would be in the night before. They said the office manager would call me back. I had to call back on Monday to request an update. The office manager said she called and left a message Friday, which she did not. She kept repeating "I'm sorry our services were not to your expectation" and told me to "shut up and listen". She said that in the report the doctor said the puppy was not well, but the doctor himself told me the puppy was fine. They lied about the services that would be provided in the time they said they would be done by. They also lied about returning my call. I regret my decision for ever stepping foot in that clinic, and quite possibly if another vet provided actual care my puppy would still be alive today. Don't go! I had my dog sitter take my golden retriever here while I was on deployment when we discovered he was in contact with a dog suspected of having parvo. He had his shots but just in case I wanted him tested...... One negative test and 830 dollors later my dog was fine. The dog who did have parvo was diagnosed and treated for under 500 including meds. This place takes advantage of anyone concerned about there pet. None of the test or treatments done were needed or discussed with me or my dog sitter.

I trust South Bat Vet service for my dog. They are a good service for pets in this area.

My experience with my two puppies grooming appointments has always been good. The staff is friendly and helpful and the pricing is what I expected it to be.

Great experience. I've been taking my two boxers there for a while now. I love their late hours. I have boarded my dogs there many times. The entire staff is very friendly and all have excellent customer service skills.

Excellent and attentive care.

Michelle Mackes

Called here because my cat was screaming when she peed (clearly a UTI) and we needed to get her on meds right away. They were so friendly and caring. The best part was their late hours and affordable pricing. Coming home to a cat screaming and desperately trying to pee anywhere needs action right away. They took me at 8pm and sent me home with medication without needing expensive testing. Super awesome vet service!

Kari Dukerschein

Love this place! I don't live in Chula Vista anymore but still make the drive down there because of their great service and hospitality! They are very welcoming and Dr. Deo is a very knowledgeable vet.

Terri Para

We board our cats here every time we go on vacation. The staff and volunteers all know Ashley and Spatz and treat them with all the love and kindness I would expect.

Monica De La O

I've taken my dogs and guinea pigs here for several emergencies and non emergencies. The staff is always helpful and the doctor is always honest and straightforward. They break down pricing and they don't pressure me to post for things I may not need. I really appreciate their extended hours. For those who may need it they also accept Care Credit.

Barbara Brown

About 18 months ago I lost my cat luckey to. 'cancer drs Doe did. -everything possible

Arielle Alvarez

Talk about a ghetto clinic. They "close" at 10 but lazy staff stops answering way before then. Then the mailbox is full. Ridiculous. They don't answer the voicemails? And these people have boarding? How can you leave your pet if they don't even answer the damn phone. The doctor and her unprofessional attitude and the receptionist with all the crazy makeup also has this non-welcoming attitude. And I am in shock that they don't care about all these bad reviews. A good vet or med office would not have anything wrong said about them that had to do with the animals health. What are you going to do to "fix" your customer service and staff? How can this not bother you to improve anything. A fancy office isn't going to fix anything.

Victoria Countryman

Dr. Deo and staff are great. From New Puppy pet checks to Senior Dog care, they do it all at a reasonable price. Be patient during their remodel/expansion. It’ll be worth it in the end.

I came to Southbay for a second opinion after I purchased a puppy from an Escondido puppy store. I had taken the puppy to the store recommended Veterinarian one day before bringing him Southbay. The puppy begin to show signs is illness the day I brought him home. By the second day of having him home he was very lethargic and the store recommended vet ( Fuerte Animal Hospital) diagnosed him with a respiratory illness. By day three he was completely lethargic, not eating or drinking. The store recommended vet (Fuerte Animal Hospital) advised me to syringe feed and hydrate him and the puppy store recommended that I bring him in for a nebulizer treatment. He was worst after the nebulizer treatment and now it’s 8:30 pm most Veterinary clinics are closed but my daughter found Southbay Veterinary Hospital through a 4 Star Online review and excitedly informed me that the Clinic was open until 10 pm! I called and spoke with Christina and explained what was going on with the puppy and she was very concerned and recommended that I should bring him in immediately. Let me stress that we had never been to this Vet before and it is close to their closing time but Christina put that aside for the well-being of this puppy! The reception at the clinic was very friendly with concern and care even at an hour before closing. Dr. Kelly and nurse Yaya saw that the puppy was very lethargic and frail. Dr. Kelly said he looked like a puppy with Parvovirus and recommended testing however she thought the diagnosis unlikely. Well the test was positive and now at day three of ownership my beautiful puppy was diagnosed with the deadly Parvovirus after being purchased from a puppy store in Escondido!!! Thank you Christina, Nurse Yaya and Dr Kelly for being such a great team in representing Southbay Animal Hospital! Because of you providing an early diagnosis the puppy has a high survival rate. Sadly I had to return him to the store of purchase for a refund so they could take on the liability of treatment as they sold me a sick puppy that most likely came from a puppy mill. This has been a very sad experience but I’m thankful for the great people that I met at Southbay Hospital who take what they do very seriously!

Victoria Valencia and Dr. Soto were wonderful, as well as the rest of the staff. We mention them by name because we dealt directly with them, but each time we called or brought our puppy in, everyone was great and extremely helpful. We brought our 2 month old Meerabai in a very dire condition. Dr. Soto did not give us a very good prognosis, but they were willing to try. Victoria was there when we spoke to him, and was with our Meerabai all the way. They called my daughter and kept her updated. Our Meerabai is now 7 months old and doing great! Thank you so much! We always tell our friends how wonderful they are.

I went to South Bay Veterinary Hospital for the first time after one of my dogs had developed a golf-ball sized tumor on her neck. I found the tumor the first day it began growing and took her to the vet immediately, but the vet's prescribed care did not stop it from growing. After a week I began to get very nervous. I went back to my vet who told me it was a tumor. Without going into great detail, the ensuing conversation left me very nervous - both for my dog's life, and about the quality of care she was receiving. I was on the verge of allowing my vet to perform an operation when I decided to seek a second opinion. I went to South Bay Veterinary expecting to either be asked to perform hundreds of dollars in tests, or to be given an inconclusive answer: instead, I had a $44 consult with a highly knowledgeable and friendly vet who was able to both properly diagnose and to confirm the diagnosis my dog with an abscess Beyond the competence and fair pricing, I was greeted by a friendly staff who seemed to genuinely be "animal people" (lots of oohs and aahs, not only for my dog, but for other animals in the waiting room). This love of animals extended throughout the whole staff, including the doctor. Bottom line: South Bay Veterinary offers great service, fair pricing, and extreme competence. After my experience, I left my old vet and changed to South Bay permanently.

So, I went to take my dog their today. They're actually renovating this place. They say that hopefully the new spot will be done by the mid or end of summer. They're definitely keeping busy. Working out of a trailer, they do still have tons of customers. The prices for their services are competitive, which is a good thing. What killed it the most for me, was the customer service offered. No sense of character, nor professionalism. Our appointment was scheduled for 1200, we got there around 1145, and we weren't even seen by a doc until close to 1330. I'm sorry, but that's hell of a stretch. We were constantly getting skipped over. We were so frustrated, waiting to be seen, we decided to walk out. As I was walking out, the vet tech finally told me that the doc is here (who looked like she was just walking in). Had we not started to walk out, I bet it would have been another 30 minutes for the doc to get all "settled" in. Let me just add...that it doesn't help when you're sitting in a consultation room and you could hear all the conversations that the staff and doctors are having behind the doors (same problem at the Carmel Ranch Vet location too). You could tell when a team really wants to help or just make some quick buck$. Keep looking.

TERRIBLE SERVICE! AWFUL PLACE! I am so angry right now! I had an emergency with my dog, so I CALLED FIRST and they told me come in at 640pm, even though it was 430pm when I called. So I wait, then go in. It took about 15 mins just to check in, then to be brought back to a waiting room, to sit and wait for an hour. .. all in the meanwhile, I can hear the employees in the back, talking about what pizza they should order. I understand lunch breaks, but this is 1.5 hours before you close.....? But people kept coming and partially open the door, then leave. Then when I go to the front desk, the lady is all too happy to let me walk out. Then tells me, "have a good night!" In a patronizing manner. Im in customer service, and know a smiling f-u when I see one. So, if you need your pet seen right away, and in a nice manor, DON'T GO HERE!

My husband & I travel extensively with our two small terriers. Whenever we're in Chula Vista and the dogs need their yearly exams, medications, grooming & boarding I take them to South Bay. I have taken them only to South Bay over the past few years for all the above, except grooming and boarding at first. The vets & the other staff are very knowledgeable and will discuss any topic regarding my dogs care that I bring up. The newest groomer, Nadia is excellent and even shared information on the products she uses. I will take them there for no more than a couple days boarding since they only use their parking lot for outdoor space. They have kept the dogs together in their boarding "cells" when I've asked & the dogs can at least watch people and animals coming and going since they are housed in the grooming area. Although the expense of ongoing care for healthy dogs is high anywhere, South Bay provides many discounts and keeps detailed, ongoing records current to remind you when it's time for services. I would give them the highest recommendation to anyone in need of care for their pets.

I brought two puppy Dobermans to have their ears cropped and their shots. Unfortunately one of them had Parvo and distemper. We were heartbroken after we tried everything including leaving him in the hospital for four days. The staff, including the manager, CeCe and Dr. Deo were very compassionate and nice and kept us in the loop twice a day, every day of our puppy’s progress. I cannot say enough about this facility. We picked them because they had such high ratings and now I see why.

We are on our 4th dog being treated at South Bay Veterinary Hospital. I found Dr. Deo when my rott'nshepherd was almost ready to die and we needed a vet who would come to the house. Dr. Deo was one of the two I found. He was out of town when we needed him for that dog, so we went with the other vet, who was very caring. Afterwards we started to use that veterinary service and were dissatisfied, also with the next one we used, so I finally convinced my husband to go to South Bay Vet and we found that the staff and doctors there are friendly, courteous, kind, and very competent. Our dogs were and are all older dogs who have different needs, and the staff and doctors at South Bay Veterinary Hospital are able to provide for all, and will refer you to specialists if they think it necessary.

We have just moved to the area recently and hadn’t picked a vet. We have had 2 emergencies in about a week. So happy with going with Our Vets Pet and the wonderful services they have provided for both of our dogs. I can’t thank you enough.

I’ve been taking my cats and dogs there for years and the employees are amazing!

Unknown to me, South Bay Veterinary Hospital made a donation to the UCDavis Veterinary Hospital Companion Animal Memorial Fund in memory of my big black lab and wonderful companion, Sammy. What a caring way to show their dedication to the care of our beloved pets/family companions and their recognition of their importance in our life. I only knew of the donation because of a letter from the Director of the Center for Companion Animal Health at the University.

So far the Doctor and staff have been great and willing to work with me for my very sick cat. She was given to us over a year and a half ago, sick, but we didn't know it at the time. The doctor and the staff are doing what they can to help us out. I have severe financial issues and cannot afford to put my kitty in the hospital. The doctor and staff have been great with answering questions and helping us take care of my kitty at home. I just hope she survives. Right now it isn't looking very good.

I took my dog for grooming...the girl called me three times during the day to ask how much trimming I wanted on my dog, to tell me my dog was shaking and nervous but not once did she mentioned the price...I was charged $95.00 for grooming!!!!!

Worst Vet Hospital ever, in Chula Vista...pretty sure all they want...is MONEY...besides the Vet. seems not to like; cats at all. I took mine and he didn't even touch him, just wanted to sedate him first, to find out what was going on with him; when there was no need to be sedated and of course CHARGE a lot $$$... Anyways, ended up; not doing anything at all...but of course, had to pay, just for nothing...and cuz I had no other option and lots of $$$; had to take my Cat to Tijuana honestly, lot less money and thank God...hes h alright. So sadly, that our own people; in our own country; can't do anything for us, without thinking of money as first option and THEN taking care of health of others. So sad of having so many selfish Dr's and Vet's...will not recommend that Pet's Hospital @ all...

CAUTION!!! I stopped by this facility to get my puppies first shots and deworming liquid. Within "MINUTES"I started to notice a a difference in my puppy. She started to barf as soon as we got home and was disoriented the rest of the evening. The puppy barfed all night and all morning and refused to eat and drink water. The very next day, our puppy could not longer get up or walk. I rushed the puppy to the veterinary and left her there to be treated with an IV. By the time I came back at 4:00pm to pick up my dog, she was practically dead and was still handed over to me to take home. The staff tells me she made little improvement, however, the dog couldn't walk, eat and was still barfing. If the dog was in bad shape, why not recommend to put the puppy down instead of letting her suffer the way she did. I was up the entire evening and morning holding my puppy as she died in my hands. She SUFFERED so much. She had several seizures and she finally died around 4:00am. Her death was the worse experience ever!!!! I was told the results of her death were several reasons BUT my dog was in perfect shape when we first visited the facility. She was a beautiful 1 pound cute and vivacious little creature. Noticing the changes within minutes after leaving the vet really started to bother me. I also noticed that my puppy was given a large dose of medicine for a 1 pound puppy. The administered dose didn't seem appropriate for the tiny 1 pound puppy. I figured they knew what they were doing. Luckily I had another person in the room who also witness the same thing. Be very careful!!!!! The staff is great but don not let that fool you. Your dogs well being is more important! Nothing is going to bring my puppy back but I would at least like to inform the public about the negligence this facility provides. Please see another review below similar to mine.

Words can't describe how extremely happy I am w/ the great customer service I'm always given. Sonia, Murphy and Alicia are one of the nicest staff I've gotten to know.I have a four month old male Cane Corso named Chief. He had his ears cropped about a month ago; they have now healed very well. With that being said if anybody is looking for a vet who does ear cropping I would totally recommend this place to get them done. The staff is extremely caring and very patient w/all their clients. The environment there is easy going, which i love so much. Hard to believe it but with so many clients that they have, they actually remember my puppy's name. I want to give a special thanks to Sonia for answering all of my questions hours prior to the ear cropping surgery and for always giving Chief and me the best service we have ever received. Thank you very much!! (:

Caution!! Every time we have taken our dog in for shots or grooming, we have come home with an issue. From flea issues, to her eye swollen shut, to aggression issues. Once they even forgot to call us to pick her up after grooming. Very unprofessional!

The most AMAZING Hospital, Drs. (especially Dr. Deo) and staff that I have ever gone to. I have been using them for fifteen years and wouldn't go anywhere else. Everyone is so knowledgeable and kind and gentle with not only our babies but with we humans... Don't go anywhere else, if you want the best of care.

Dr. Deo and the entire staff of South Bay Veterinary helped my canine family. My dog Taz, was an ailing 14 year old German Shepherd who, through the kindness and skill of the South Bay Veterinary lived to be 16 years old. She could hardly walk, yet was treated with dignity. I was confident when I had to board her that she would be cared for. My other two dogs, a pug mix and miniature poodle have been groomed, vetted, boarded and cared for by South Bay. They are healthy and happy. I have my new little girl (German Shepherd Mix rescue) and her first visit was a huge success.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE! They gave my Yorkie 4 TIMES the amount of medicine dosage for her size. They overdosed my Dog and she almost died. She was shaking, couldn’t breathe, and throwing up. Basically like a person who OD’d on drugs. Good thing she threw up. I went back and they still wanted to charge $45 to assist my mom with the situation even though they had already given her the incorrect consultation. I would not trust them with a pet and will never be going here again and will be sure to protect as many people’s dogs as possible from going here. If you love your dog/ small dog or any dog, i would never go here.
