I booked my elderly dog an appointment to establish care and renew her existing medication regimen for a chronic skin condition, which she has been on for a year. We saw Dr. Betchel who was only interested in ordering and performing invasive tests on my dog before she would consider renewing the existing medication regimen. At first she stated it was out of concern for my dogs health, but ultimately admitted she did not want to be sued for causing harm to my pet. Even after providing her a lengthy explanation about my pet’s goals of care, my wishes to make her comfortable, my understanding of her perceived concerns regarding risks, and offering to sign a liability waiver she continued to push unwanted tests and treatments. Dr. Betchel was unprofessional and displayed poor communication skills during this appointment. I will not return there again and I recommend anyone with a pet in a similar situation not either. I will be taking my dog to another local vet who understands palliative care for pets.

Took my princess Ginger, my chug, here for allergy treatment and was very impressed with the loving care she received and the advice I received in caring for her. Family atmosphere in a clean and karing clinic. They even diffuse Lavendar oil to keep the animals calm, which is good for humans too. Fair pricing including a discount offered to military, active and retired. These veterinarians are the best I've seen in the Kings County area.

Everyone is so kind and although this is only my second time, getting an appointment is usually pretty quick. I also had a concern after our visit so I called them and in a short time got an answer. I ended up going back (my fault) and she took my pup right back and took care of the issue without another office visit charge. I'm so glad K & K Vet Services are in town.

Let me start off by saying that it is great to have a Veterinarian in our area that will see Exotic pets! Our bearded dragon is doing so much better after our visit with Dr. Kait Betchel! She was very knowledgeable and informative! She took the time to answer all of our questions and offered great advice! Our experience at K + K Veterinary Hospital was beyond 5 Stars!!

My 8 week old puppy has contracted parvo and although we cannot afford to pay 1 million dollars to have the vet help him, we decided to take matters into our own hands. We called this vet to see if they would at least give us advice or pointers, but all they could say is. “The only thing I could tell you is to make an appointment sorry.” This greedy business won’t even point you in the right direction. They just want to make a buck off of you. With enough research we managed to figure out what our pup needs but we need a lot of it prescribed (such as syringes, saline, and amoxicillin). Now we might be too late. Reply to this, why don’t you! Update: he didn’t make it.

Have used K&K on Multiple occasions. Must say I would recommend them to anyone in need of service. Very positive experience, Caring, compassionate, not only towards my animal's but my feeling's as well. Excellent knowledge in the medical field. Have had to call upon there services three separate times in the past two weeks, Every time never a disappointment. Cannot emphasize enough how lucky our community is to have and welcome there new facility and there services. Whether a office visit or house call emergency all of my animals requirements have been met with highest most caring attention. Recommend anyone in need or the basic check up, Give them a chance you will not be disappointed.

We recently came here for help when our senior lab needed care after our current vets office had already closed for the day. This was my first experience with K+K. Unfortunately, it was our boys time and we had to make that decision that every pet owner dreads. Dr. Betchel and her staff were very kind and compassionate and helped us through a very difficult time. They let us stay as long as we needed, even though they've only got two exam rooms and I'm sure they probably needed it, they told us to take as much time as we needed to say goodbye. We never felt rushed. Dr. Betchel walked us through the whole process and made it as easy as she could for us. Although this process is never easy, she made every effort to give us comfort. We have been with another vet for about 10 years, but after experiencing the care we received at K+K, I think it's time to consider making the switch to Dr. Betchel and K+K. I would also like to address some of the other reviews regarding the pricing of their services. We have been through euthanasia with four other pets and I can tell you that we paid more than double at our other vet than we did at K&K. I feel that their prices are more than fair. Veterinary care is not cheap and if you are looking for a low cost vet, then be prepared to receive low cost service as well. I will gladly pay a little more for quality services for our pets and I think in comparison to what I've paid at our previous vet, K+K was cheaper by far.

Karing for Kreatures or caring about making a quick buck... First time ever to a vet for one of my animals and probably the last to this one. Being medical I’m quick to point out flaws and lack of quality patient service and let me tell you none of the original questions I had were answered, I was not asked if I had any other concerns by the vet herself by the way only had the luxury of talking to for 3 minutes and she said she would be back in the room after she had left and sent her vet tech back in and there was no patient education what so ever! Any yahoo on the street can pick up a stethoscope and pretend to auscultate (listen to) heart and lungs I feel that’s what happened here. Update: yes I declined the X-ray and yes I declined the take home “treatment” medications I refuse to expose my dog to radiation without probable or communicated cause as well as expensive at home treatments with a 3 minute talk with the vet who didn’t seem concerned for my dog more so my money and was quick to the jump on me spending more ! Yes I was given a “discount” to an 80$ service that was easily unfulfilled.

We have an older bunny, which is classified as an exotic animal, that was taken care of extremely well by them. We are very happy with the quality of service, rates are reasonable, and they were very available for my wife’s crazy questions at ridiculous times of night. We will be bringing the rest of our menagerie here for sure

My english mastiff was unable to walk on his right leg and it became so swollen. When he first started limping we assumed he may have just hurt himself playing with the other dogs. But his leg never got better, it only got worse. Monday 8/5 I brought him in. My first time bringing an animal to K&K. The Dr. Wanted xrays and that's when I found out my dog had a mass growing near his shoulder and that he had signs of possible bone cancer. It was the worst news you could hear. The Dr. Gave us our options but he was in so much pain that we did not want to put him through any surgery (that may have not have even worked if the cancer spread). Today Thursday 8/8 my boyfriend and I took him him to he put down. We were planning on waiting till Friday but he was suffering too much. Putting him down was the hardest thing I have ever had to do but staff at K&K made it so much easier to get through. I cant remember both staff members names but the lady at the front desk was caring throughout the process and the gentlemen that did the procedure was so good at explaining everything and walking us through it. They let us spend as much time as we needed with our dog. The whole process was easy because of thier kindness. I do have other dogs and will be bringing them here when needed! Thanks alot K&K for making a hard situation easy to get through.

These ladies are wonderful!! Last minute I called them to see if I could get anxiety meds for my dog that has a horrible time with the fireworks during the 4th of July. They got me in last minute and the vet Kayla was so nice. My normally timid dog even liked her!! Their rates are affordable and they do a great job. I highly recommend them.

Such caring and affordable care for our german shepard (Kaido). Both, Dr. McCrone and Dr. Betchel are amazing with him. They genuinely care for animals and it shows! Plus they make house calls! :0)

Service was prompt, friendly, and professional. I will be using this vet again. Dr. Betchel was wonderful. She already rebooked the next appointment. Prices were reasonable too. I am so excited that they see all species and have a clinic that is open nights and weekends for emergencies. Dr. Betchel can even treat my birds and reptiles.

Hello! I came in yesterday with a friend of mine with a baby bird who was seemingly injured or not well, and I was told that this hospital was going to put the animal down without even a second glance to see if there was anyway to help him. My friend and I left the bird at first until we saw a glimmer of hope from someone who offered to give the bird actual love and healthcare. The woman who works here told us the bird would die a slow and painful death and we were making a mistake by not killing him. I took on the role of caring for the bird overnight, giving him small bird seed and a bird electrolyte water recipe that helps with heat stress and heat exhaustion in birds. I allowed the bird to splash around in the tub for a bit before returning him to his shoe box and leaving him in a dark warm room for the night, praying with all my heart that he would recover. This morning he was still awake and alert and I was so happy. When the pet rescue opened, my boyfriend took him in for me and at the end of the work day today I called and was told that after careful diagnosis the bird had gotten poisoned from some kind of pesticide, but over the time we had him he had shaken off the chemical and he perked up a lot and is doing much better now. He was given to the caring hands of a volunteer who will watch over him until he is strong enough to survive on his own and then he will be released back into the wild. I understand that this is not a pet rescue center, but it is a place where people feel like they can go to take some of their most beloved animals, and it makes me wonder how much effort is really put into caring for animals at this facility. If you cannot even give a little bird a second glance, why are you qualified to take on the role of helping a pet? I was very disappointed in the way this situation was handled by these "vets", but I am thrilled that the little birdy got a second chance.

The end of life service is amazing. They came to us. Arfie was able to stay at home in her own bed in her mom's arms as she passed. As heartbreaking as it was for us, the ladies were so caring and amazing. I can not thank you enough for offering that service.

The staff was amazing and saved my cat's life. I called and was able to get her in for emergency surgery the same day to remove a blockage from her intestines. Dr. Betchel and her staff were thourough, caring, and compassionate during the stressful time and gave my fiesty cat wonderful treatment for an affordable cost. I would highly recommend them to anyone with a pet in distress.

K+K is now the best bet clinic in Lemoore. The rooms are large, clean and new. The staff is friendly and professional. Their doors were even opened 10 min before 10am on a Saturday when we went.

I took my dog in around 7pm with a mass. After inspection, they offered to sample it and based off of the fluid we would decide what to do. My dog ended up having a mass formed that was caused by a swallowed fox tail, and Dr. Betchel took care of it that same night. My dog needed anesthesia and stitches and she didnt have to wait till the next morning like at many vets. I was able to pick her up at 10:30pm that same night. The name says it all, this vet cares for creatures.

Not only have they helped me with my exotic pet they also have helped my dog. Pricing is affordable making appointments with them is easy. The vet and staff are very polite and welcoming.

What a great place and experience. We are so lucky to finally have a veterinarian in our area that is very good, affordable, and convenient. Took my dog here after being disappointed with my regular vet. Very quick and easy to get in and didn’t conflict with my work schedule at all, did the procedure the same evening, and was much more affordable, none of this low and high estimate stuff, not knowing how much you’re actually going to be paying. Thank you for giving me one price estimate and giving me several options on how to proceed. I chose the procedure, being it was much more affordable. The staff was super nice and the veterinarian was great. Can’t say enough good things. My new veterinarian. Highly recommend
