We love this place!! Our previous dog had a medical condition that required monthly visits and they were always so kind. Yes, they are expensive and because we were going every month we did try a couple other places because of cost- but came back to Dr White because the other vets wanted to give more meds and they made things worse. When we first met Dr White our dog was pretty sick. He told us what he thought it was and after a blood test, confirmed the diagnosis. Our dear Lucky lived another 10 yrs because of his care. he even waited until 9:30 one night just so we could gets meds for her when she was extremely ill. Unfortunately she wasn't going to get better so we had to say goodbye to her. He showed us true compassion and concern for us. We now have a new dog without medical problems at this point and he will continue to be our vet. Many thanks to Dr White and his staff! ❤️

My 11 year old (approximately) German Shepherd Rescue we have had for 10 years. Rocky has always been healthy. About a month ago his stools changed. I changed food his lamb based food to a similar one but with limited ingredients. No change. I brought him to Dr White who did a stool culture, exam and blood work. Of course as usual there was "nothing found". The diarrhea continued on Metronidazole 4 days already and probiotics for two days. I finally gave in and opened the bag of "prescription dog food" I picked up at Dr. Whites. I was hesitant as Rocky had never had a chicken based diet before. I thought what harm could it do unless he starts throwing up it can't get worse. I fed him 2 cups of "Hills Biome" yesterday. No hosing down the yard this morning. He had 2 normal stools today. The only change that could have made the difference overnight was the food. I can't believe the difference in him today. He is hungry, looking for the bag of food! I gave him his first bath in a month because I didn't want to mess with him before when he wasn't feeling well. Thank-You so much for encouraging this diet on a non believer. Gail Katz and Rocky

My dog had two ACL surgeries in Huntington Vet (both legs) could not be happier. They also can provide an extended care after surgery, which was huge for person like me who works and was not able to take care of my dog during the recovery period. All I can say Dr. White is the best and his staff is amazing!!!

A wonderful experience! Dr White always takes the best care of our dogs and they are actually happy to go! He is aware of the cost and will check with you beforehand instead of just charging like other vets I've been to do. His staff is lovely, helpful and friendly. I've never been to a better vet's office.

Dr. White and his staff are super! They are now taking care of my second Westie, one year old "McGregor," and I wouldn't take him anywhere else. Dr. White cared for my first Westie, Bud E. Byrns for 13+ years, and pulled him through diabetes and subsequent issues. I know without a doubt that without his care Bud E. would not have lasted to age 14. When the end time came, Dr. White and his staff were so compassionate and caring, helping me through this most difficult time. McGregor loves going to Huntington Vet Hospital and so do I! We continue going there even though we have moved to Burbank.

HORRIBLE EXPENSIVE!!!!! Our cat had a swollen jaw because of an infection coming from a bad tooth. So they want to pull the tooth and said it is necessary to X-Ray and than see if more need to be done. They gave us an Estimate for $2300 So we went for a second opinion to a different veterinary and there they said that they have to pull the tooth too but just for $185. It seems like 1st. priority is look how much they can get out of your wallet and than in second is maybe the pet. Its not the first time that they ask for so high pries but it never was so far off.

I had heard wonderful things about this vet for a long time, and needed to find a new one that was closer to home. I was so impressed with Dr. White and the entire staff. They were nothing but accommodating when I needed my ailing cat to be seen right away. They have also been very caring with follow-up phone calls to check on Milo, to make sure he was doing OK, and answering any questions. Dr. White even took time out in between seeing patients today to speak to me on the phone. I cannot recommend Huntington Veterinary enough. Milo and I thank you!

Dr. White and his staff are great. When my wife and I came into a Jack Russell it was immediately evident that his left hip was funky. While I had him down at Dr. White's for his shots, I asked what he thought about the hip. An Xray showed that it had been broken. He was about two at the time. Dr. White explained that at some point it would become painful as it went to bone on bone, and that he does a surgery for this problem which involves putting a synthetic ball on the end of the femur. He said not to worry, you'll know when it's getting bad, and it could be a while. Soon enough the poor little guy was on three legs, sometimes falling. We elected to do the surgery, not really knowing what to expect. I was, and remain amazed at the outcome. Max gets lots of exercise and has grown into a little ball of muscle. To quote Dr. White, "A 50 pound dog in a 20 pound package." I don't know how Huntington Veterinary Hospital compares to others on pricing, but I never feel ripped off and I have no reason to shop around. On another occasion Max saw some deer in the yard and bolted past me out the door. He chased them down through the woods and across the street, where he got rolled under a car. I called HVH as I drove there with him. The nurse was waiting for us in the parking lot. They whisked him off to the treatment room, and after a very anxious few minutes Dr. White came out and told me "Max is a very lucky dog..." I cannot recommend Dr. White and his staff highly enough. Max agrees. He actually likes going to the vet.

You’re front office staff are WONDERFUL!!!!!!! Omg.... wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! They don’t make you feel rushed, especially if you have a bunch of questions. But what really hit my heart was when My sweet dog Lola passed away. My heart was beyond broken. Not enough words to describe it. But the one office girl who helped me on that particular day, God Bless Her....she was so considerate, expressed empathy, and every time I called in to check on the status of my Lola’s ashes, she took the time to find out what the delay was. She always made me feel like she understood exactly where I was coming from. I can’t thank you enough! I now have my new dog Luigi and the care they give him is top notch! I do wish it wasn’t so expensive. Being in the healthcare industry (for humans) I understand it’s expensive. I just wish they would be willing to work out payment plans instead of having you apply for credit cards. I was lucky to have been approved for the credit but I just feel bad for those who may not have been that lucky. Not sure what the outcome would be if that happened. But, I understand, you pay for what you get. And I honestly think Dr. White performs top notch service on all fur babies. Thank you again!!!

We adopted a yellow lab when she was 7 months old. She is now 17 months old. She came to us with a diagnosis of elbow dysplasia, and we were afraid that she would need surgery in both of her elbow joints. Dr. White recommended that we give her Dasuquin daily, and begin a regimen of Adequan shots. She no longer limps, and she goes on long walks with me, sometimes 5-6 miles. We've avoided expensive surgeries so far, and are pleased with the outcome!

Dr. White is very thorough, patient, and quite enjoyable to work with. All of the staff is super friendly and you really feel that they care about everyone's pets. The office kitties are adorable as well. We used to go to another kitty-specific vet in Pasadena, and although she was less expensive, I will stick with Dr. White since there's a marked difference in the level of service provided, and I only want the best for my kitties.

I referred by Foothill Vet in Pasadena because they no longer due eye removal there and my 12 year old Shih Tzu was diagnosed with glaucoma in one eye. I telephoned several animal hospitals that seemed to want to gauge me. When I finally spoke with Kim she took the time to provide answers to all of my questions and secured me an appointment with Dr. White the same day! Now that is service. When I arrived the office was welcoming and the staff were warm and friendly. Dr. White was very thorough with his exam and answered my questions for me to make a decision. I really appreciated their overall professionalism and felt my pet was in good hands for a successful surgery. Highly recommended.

My dog went in to have a c-section that costed $1700 and that didnt include any meds. 2 months later my dog got a infection were they cut her and I took my dog back to find out that the infection was because of the bottom stiches. After the doctor was finished he charged me again just to check her and for 15 antibiotics another $100 although it was the doctors fault. This doctor is so expensive and will charge you for anything he can think of. The girls in the front are very nice but I will not go back there again.

Everyone here, from the doctors to the vet tech to the receptionists are fantastic. I have a 2 year old Chihuahua/terrier mix, and these people are a godsend with my nervous (yet eager to please) pup. He gets the best quality care that I've received from any other vets. This was my first visit to Huntington Veterinary Hospital. The staff was extremely courteous and friendly. I brought in my two pups for an annual exam with Dr. White. He took his time examining both of my dogs and answered all of my questions. He gave me good advice on how to potty train my naughty pom. They did every test under the sun and reported results promptly to me. I will definitely be recommending Dr. White and his staff to all of my pet parent friends.

I have a new puppy and have been looking for a vet for a few months. Went to a few other locations (that were a chain/corporate locations) and was not particularly impressed. After a terrible accident we had to have a ortho vet for our puppy and we chose Huntington Vet Hospital for our needs and were VERY happy with our choice. Dr White is very attentive and my puppy and I felt very comfortable. The other staff at HVH are just so super that I can't say enough about our visits there. I am so happy to call HVH office our puppy's Dr from here on. I highly recommend this office to anyone who needs a regular vet , boarding or an ortho surgeon. A++++++++++

I sincerely Thank Dr. White for treating my 2 month old bulldog from a serious illness and that she made a full recovery. To all the nurses who attended to her by giving her antibiotics and fluids all of are awesome and so kind. I also have her brother which is a 2 month old bulldog and which was treated for his puppy check up. Dr. White is very helpful on giving awesome advice on how to train your new puppy from house training to knowledge of how to train your pup on teething (preventing biting) Dr. White shows passion for animals and makes you feel good by knowing your pet is in great hands. My experience at Huntington Veterinarian Hospital with the staff, vet techs, vet assistants and Dr. White is and has been, for the three years I have been a client with my cats, ALWAYS exceptional. They are all caring, welcoming, and very compassionate and highly skilled. The office is immaculate and so pet and human friendly. Dr. White is extraordinary, caring, highly skilled, and always gives you and your pet as much time as you need, answering all your concerns, and providing sage advice on how to keep your pets healthy and happy. This office has a particularly unique delight in what I call the Cat Welcoming Committee who greet you when you walk in (they live in and walk about the office). It consists of three to four orange and beige Tabbies named Ducky (the male greeter who looks like a movie star cat), Harold (the how’s-your-cat-doing, what-are-you-in-for greeter), and two other beauties whose names escape me. This was our first experience with Huntington Veterinary Hospital and we could not be happier. We were able to make a same day appointment (important when a pet suddenly becomes ill). The receptionists were very friendly. The atmosphere was clean, spacious, and calm. The doctor was wonderful with our cat and really took his time to explain her condition and all our options. The vet's assistants were also very helpful, taking the time to demonstrate with one of their sweet office cats how to hold our cat to pill her. Finally, we have found a place where we are completely comfortable bringing all our pets...thanks so much!

Dr. White actually cares about what he does and is extremely knowledgeable. He does not suggest or try to push you to do unnecessary things to your pets. I do suggest getting pet insurance though because once you come here once you'll want to keep coming back to make sure your pets stay healthy. The staff and Dr. White are dedicated and compassionate and I appreciate everything they have done for my pets.

Took my two cats in for a general exam back in January. The receptionists are very kind and thorough with checking in and out. However I was very dissatisfied with the wait time and the vet himself. I waited 35 minutes to see the vet in the checkup room after the tech took notes and no one besides the tech said the vet would be with me soon. It was 35 minutes. Then, when the vet came in he pushed the crappy science diet brand kibble instead of the high quality frozen raw sliders I feed my kitties. (If you are reading this I recommend you research the truth behind ingredients in commercial kibble and canned food). Instead he recommended I feed my cat either the science diet or freshly killed mice. Very black and white recommendations. NO THANKS! THEN the vet recommended a whole run down of tests to do on my healthy kitties. I knew they were healthy from a previous vet visit not too long before. I wanted to trust and give this vet my business since I live a block away but the pushy sells on crappy commercial food and unnecessary tests turned me off. My kitties and new puppy are much happier at VCA. Beware where you spend your money on your fur babies!!!
