Kitty had to have her ear amputated due to skin cancer. The staff at Bloomfield Animal Hospital were very caring and gentle. The staff has made numerous follow-up calls, to insure that Kitty recovery is progressing as anticipated. I truly appreciate there level of care and commitment.

I recently moved to the area, and this was the closest vet to my house. I am so glad I found this place. The vets and assistants that work here are attentive, friendly and highly professional. You can tell that they truly enjoy their jobs and the animals. If you have an opportunity to use their service, do it.

I brought my dog in for a Lyme vaccine and heartworm testing. The appointment itself went fine and Dr. Andrea was very gentle and nice. She told me that even though the office doesn't generally call for the heartworm results (no news is good news), she would tell them to call me since it was my first time at this vet. As I was leaving the office, the staff asked about scheduling the next appointment several weeks out for the Lyme booster. I told them I didn't know my schedule far enough in advance and they said no problem, they'd call. I have gone through this exact routine many times with many various businesses and never had an issue. When a few days passed and I didn't get a call about the heartworm testing, I figured it was just an oversight and everything was fine. After a number of weeks passed, I realized I also never got a call about my dog's Lyme booster. I called the vet office to follow up on this and they said they'd look into whether too much time had passed to get the booster and they'd call me back the next day. By the end of the week, I hadn't received a call, so I followed up again and was eventually told that too much time had passed and my dog would need the initial shot again, then the booster later. I asked if they could waive the cost of repeating the initial shot since I feel it is the responsibility of the vet to know and follow up on its patients' appointments (to say nothing of the frustration of my dog having to repeat the ordeal of a shot). They refused and unapologetically told me it was my fault for not making that appointment as I was walking out the door. I am very disappointed and surprised by my experience with Bloomfield Animal Hospital, given the number of positive reviews here. My overall impression of this office is that the staff is inattentive and won't take responsibility for your pet's medical schedule or needs.

I recently had to put my 16 year old lab down. Bloomfield Animal Hospital couldn't have been more passionate and understanding through the whole process. This was the last one of three labs I had put down by Bloomfiels Animal Hospital. The first lab was put down at 12 years old the second at 16 yrs and the last one again 16 yrs old. I strongly believe I got this many years out of them because of the care I got from Andrea and her staff. All of them had issues with their hips and getting the right diagnosis and right medication I swear I got another 4-5 years out of them. I can't thank them enough. I know I will be getting another dog(s) again and I will definitely go back to Bloomfield Animal Hospital.

My family loves Bloomfield. All of the staff is very pleasant and kind. Dr. A is the best! They have a very clean facility and truly care about all the pets they service. I first came to them when I purchased a puppy who seemed to be sick. They ran multiple tests and were able to figure out what was wrong and they saved his life. Very thankful and appreciative to this amazing staff.

We have been clients of BAH for years. Having had several veterinarians prior, we can honestly say that none came close to the care and bed-side manner of Dr Dennis and her staff. She has a tremendously warm and out-going personality, surpassed only by her professionalism and care for our pet. I recently referred a new neighbor to Dr Dennis who had re-located from Pennsylvania. After seeing Dr Dennis he commented that his dog had never received such a thorough examination and was so impressed with her personality and care to communicate effectively. We highly recommend Dr Dennis and her entire staff.

I’ve found the vet office of my dreams. The staff (Hannah, Melissa, etc) are highly knowledgeable and, just as important, thoughtful and kind. The vet, Dr. Jose Arambulo, is also highly skilled in all areas. (I had a slightly difficult time understanding his English-as-a-second language). The vet and staff were gentle with my pet & treated her with respect. Follow-up is phenomenal. Explanations are phenomenal. Compassion is phenomenal. The office, located on the second floor, is clean and air-conditioned, no smell. There is an elevator for those that can’t take the stairs. Parking is free and abundant. There is even a box to donate pet food for homeless animals.

I went in for the first time yesterday. I had a great experience. Everyone was friendly, and the other customers in the waiting room looked happy. The receptionist was talking to the customers as if they were familiar with each other which is a good sign that they have return customers. I was seen in a timely manner. The nurse treated my dog with care and compassion. The doctor introduced himself, and after the exam, the doctor thoroughly explained the diagnosis. He worked out a treatment plan, and we discussed my dog’s diet and flea medication. I’ll go back in for a follow up soon, but I also plan on having my cat seen there in the future as well. 5 stars!

Been bring my cats to Dr A and his team for almost 5 years now. They were there for me when my boy cat was diagnosed with a very rare illness that resulted in me having to put him down. They were supportive and not pushy at all about discovering the diagnosis, or my treatment decisions. This past year, my girl cat was diagnosed with stage 2 kidney failure, but after a short time of special food and meds, she is back in the normal range and is about to celebrate her 17th birthday! Dr A and his staff always remember me and my pets, and are great about making us all feel calm during what is often not fun experiences. Glad they are here!!!

Top notch vet and staff! Our vet moved to West Hartford and was terribly inconvenient to get to. I read all the glowing google reviews and decided to give them a try. Thank goodness I did! They came out to my car to help me get my 90 pound dog inside while I juggled my toddling children. They put us in a room with toys for my kids and one staff member even brought my kids animal crackers-so sweet. As for my dog, they treated him nicer than ANY other vet we have ever seen. They took him back and did all the necessary checking up while I waited with my kids. I was offered to stay with the dog, but it was easier not to. One tech even sang to my dog while he had his nails trimmed and came back saying the nicest things about our somewhat beast sized pooch haha. They took excellent care of him, and then a week later my cat as well. Honest diagnosis, honest pricing, out of this world pet care and customer care. We will be forever using Bloomfield Animal Hospital.

We have been taking our pets to Dr. dennis for years. I have never found a vet who cares as much. She takes fabulous care of our pets. Unfortunately she has also been with us at the end of the lives of two of our pets. The care and kindness she and the rest of the staff showed us at that time was exceptional. I can't speak highly enough of the staff and experience we had earlier today at Bloomfield. We made the costly mistake of going elsewhere first and received subpar service and even less information regarding emergency liver issues our adored family cat is experiencing. Hannah and Diva were not only compassionate and knowledgeable but they went above and beyond to make sure all of my questions we're answered and I was completely comfortable administering several different medications, they even stayed after hours to go over the different payment options available to me. From now on I will always recommend Bloomfield and will never take our pets anywhere else. This experience was a bright spot in an extremely gloomy time for our family.Thank you! Thank you! Andrea and team are more like Family than a hospital for our kitties through the years. We have had a total of 7 kitties since I have been married and my husband had at least one other dog and kitty prior to that all taken care of by Andrea and Eva over the years. Their care has been something that is loving, caring , professional and always with the utmost care as to what is best for our kitties. I can't think of one bad thing to say or one bad experience. Even when we have to put our angels down they are right there with us the whole way and care about the experience and make it as easy for us as is humanly possible at such a horrible time in our lives. What can I say we love them and are so blessed to have them in our lives. 5 stars is not enough.

I have been going to his hospital as a client since I was 12 years old. Dr. A really knows what he is doing and truly cares for the animals. Melissa, the practice manager, is amazing at facilitating customer satisfaction and the health care of my pets. My Great Dane is the only Dane the practice has and Dr. A and has never once mosdiagnosed her and always provides her with the best care. I originally heard of the practice through Fast Friends greyhound association. Dr. A has several greyhound clients and knows the breed very well, of which I have two. The whole staff is very knowledgable and kind to their customers. The best animal hospital around.

My dog (siberian Husky ) has been seeing Dr.A and the staff at Bloomfield Animal Hospital since she was 7 weeks old now 6 months old (from her shots to spaying). I was referred to Bloomfield Animal Hospital by my aunt who has been taking her dogs there for over 15 years. They are the best and have the friendliest staff (Dr.A, Melissa, Katey, Diva, Jessica, Hannah). My husky was having allergies and conjunctivitis discharge from an eye recently and Dr.A prescribed some medicine and drops and she is back to normal. Love Bloomfield Animal Hospital!
