Great quality caring service. Unfortunately you need to be prepared for a unreasonably long wait. Sitting there for almost an hour when your family pet is in pain and suffering takes away from the otherwise good service. The lobby gets VERY full with multiple pets since everyone is waiting so long, which can also stress your pet out. Having said that, we were very happy with the care our seriously ill pet received.

Les Borean

Excellent cat care. Reasonable prices. No appointment necessary. Adding to my review. On observation this clinic reminds me of Kaiser Permanente where I go for my own medical care. Both are efficiently run organizations which explains how they manage excellent care at good pricing.

On a Thursday morning @ 8am I brought my puppy in, because she had a growth on her back leg. She was seen within 5 minutes for a thorough exam. The Vet determined that it was a wait and watch situation and that it should go away on its own. We also discussed some puppy training issues, feeding concerns, etc. I was happily suprised when I was checking out that there was no cost for the exam. That's never happened before with any of the many other Vets to which I've taken my animals. If i could give them more stars I would. GREAT PLACE!

Took one of my babies in Saturday morning freaked out about the worlds worst bump bleeding.... I called they said do not take appointments just come right in. I was 4th or so when they opened and had never been there before. Place very clean and great staff. I got in quickly met the vet and felt very comfortable. The vet made me feel great, discussed the situation, prescribed and we were out the door! Heading to pay I was nervous about the expense and it was the cheapest vet I had ever been too. The staff member said that’s why we have no appointments and people wait :) I will go back here and trust them with everything.

No appointment necessary, pup is sick just take her in. I've used them as my vet since the 90's and their employees have always been fab. Even better are the prices; pup can be seen and it won't break the bank.

Spiceydame

No appointment necessary. The wait can vary, though.

Joan Wood

The only vets I take my animals to. Dr. Sullivan is great and the associated veterinarians are as well. Worth the wait.

Got a canine dental cleaning here. Great doctor who was happy to answer my questions and my dog seems ok afterwards. We love that it is walk in - appointments are tough for us to plan.

I came in here today with a dog new to a local rescue. He'd been a stray and needed an initial physical exam, x-rays of his pelvic limbs, and blood work. I did like that they take walk-in appointments, but I wasn't happy about anything else about this visit. I saw Dr. Alexander and was immediately put off when she began talking to me like I was a four year old who had never owned a dog before. I I tried politely explain that I'm a technician and I've worked at animal hospitals for over a decade, specifically in surgery and internal medicine, which is my most recent specialty (I opened the department several years ago at the current hospital). She still insisted on talking to me like I was a child so I just let her speak, but I noticed that her physical exam was the most limited physical exam I've ever seen. She checked absolutely not a single thing on the face to include the ears, eyes, nose, or anything in the mouth or throat. She didn't palpate the abdomen, she didn't perform a rectal exam exam, and I even asked if she would like me to lay him down so she can examine certain joints and she said no. She bent one elbow and both knees, but didn't at all manipulate the hips despite the fact that I said that he seems like he's in a lot of pain specifically in those joints. I also said he has a right forelimb limp which is intermittent, and she bent his elbow once but didn't bother at all with the shoulder. I was surprised by this but I was cautious about asking her to do anything more because she was already talking to me like I was a child and it was obnoxious. I performed a more thorough and professional physical when the dog first came to my home just a few days ago, but that's neither here nor there I guess. I also suggested radiographs of the pelvic limbs couldn't hurt because there was obvious pain in both hips and she said the only way they would go forward with x-rays is if they sedated him with Ketamine and Valium. This is a geriatric dog, very easily about eight years old, we have no prior blood work, and I even explained that his neutering caused him to be overly sedated for the entire remainder of the day using similar medications. She said they won't do the x-rays without that, to which I replied I thought that was an aggressive sedation protocol for an animal that doesn't really need to be sedated for x-rays. I then explained that we also didn't have any blood work on him yet, so a senior panel would probably be a good idea. She then explained to me what blood work was and what it measured. I tried to yet again go over the fact that I'm a technician and I've probably read those panels, and pulled for those panels, longer than she's been a veterinarian. But I didn't want to be disrespectful so I didn't say that, and I again let her talk to me like a child. I asked her to go ahead with the blood work, he's an older dog with no prior medical examinations or diagnostics and we'd like to make sure he's as happy and healthy as possible before we try to find him home as a rescue. She just nodded her head and took the dog and that was the end of our interaction. She didn't tell me when I would get those results and she never came back in the room. I had to ask at the front desk what their protocol for that was. Instead of them calling me when they get the results, I have to call in starting at 9 a.m. tomorrow to see what they were. When I got out of the office, I called somebody who is much more familiar with this office than I am and this person had the exact same opinion about Dr. Alexander. She's condescending and talks to you like a child, and is the most incomplete, unthorough person I've ever dealt with in a veterinary capacity. I'd rather pay three times the cost to go somewhere else if it means I feel like there's a higher level of professionalism and the simple diagnostics such as a physical exam are performed in a more thorough capacity. On a smaller note, the prices we're ridiculous, the waiting room is tiny, and getting out of this parking lot is obnoxious

This is hands down the best animal hospital within the South Bay. We have been going to them for the past three years and they have been nothing but compassionate, supportive, and caring to our large medically complex dog. The staff is friendly as can be from the ladies up front to the doctors. Downfall is wait times can be pretty long due to walk- ins, but it really is worth the wait because they give you their time to figure out the best course of action for your pet.

Dr Sullivan is the Best

Joan Ramsey

We've brought our furry family members to Dr. Sullivan, Dr. Rios, et al since 1999, when I first moved to the South Bay. They are the most caring Vets (and front- and back-office staff) I've ever had the pleasure of having care for my fur-family - and I've had pets and been to Vets all my life! They're very knowledgeable in veterinary medicine, and understanding of the fears, frustrations and impatience fur-parents go through when our babies are sick or injured and they can't speak up for themselves. My husband and I have often discussed - in earnest - that, when we win the Lotto, we will be discussing with Dr. Sullivan expansion/upgrades/anything that they need. They are truly Heaven-sent, and we are SO grateful we have them to care for our family!

They really care about the pets. We have been clients for 10+ years and too many to count animals. All the doctors and staff are kind, caring, and professional.

Bay Cities has been our vets forever. Back in 92' when our new Siberian puppy turned out to have parvo and the breeder said "we'll be happy to exchange him for another puppy" we knew that meant putting our baby down... and we'd have nothing to do with that. We placed him in the care of Dr Sullivan and he saved him!!! They were instrumental in saving a kitten we found on the street who had a bad URI, and broken leg and pelvis. She is now the sweetest thing on the planet, and she didn't lose her leg... or worse. Another puppy, 6-7 cats, and 25 years later they are still our vets! Dr Sullivan and Rios are great, and the staff are always courteous and show they care. They truly care!

Seigo Matsumoto

The don't take appointments, but most of times your pet can see a veterinarian within 30 minutes. They do the necessary paperwork for traveling to Europe with pet for $70. They can have it ready in the same day.

I went as a walk in today at Bay City Pet Hospital but I had one of the worst experiences with the receptionist and client that was actually sitting there my dog she's a two-year-old Pomeranian and she's a barker I mean she's a dog the thing is that the receptionist asked me to step out because it would bother the other dogs and the lady that customer that was also sitting there said she was obnoxious, l will make sure to let other pet owners know about my experience today at BAY CITY PET HOSPITAL I felt very offended by the staff, very unprofessional, especially in a pet clinic telling me to wait outside. I hope no one else goes through and feels the way I did today. Very bad service!!!

My friend's dog suddenly have an eye problem while they were on vacation I've never been there before . Spent a couple minutes just waiting and was immediately moved into a room, 4 minutes later the doctor came in and took the dog out and did an eye stain and checked for any damage to the eye, came back in within 7 minutes and told me the dog lazy eye syndrome or Horner syndrome and that it may return to normal on its own. They seemed fast, efficient and low cost. Doctor seemed very open and easy to talk to and concerned and gave me all the information that I needed overall and even answered some of the questions I had with my dog's health. it was a good experience and would return. In and out in about half an hour.

DUH. A NO-BRAINER FOLKS! LEAST EXPENSIVE PLACE IN SOUTH BAY AND: friendly, walk-in, and they DONT PUSH UNNECESSARY CRAP ON YOU!! why go anywhere else unless you like wasting your money?
