Took my 7 month old German Shepherd puppy for emergency surgery after her spay incision opened up. This was around 9-10 pm. They were very caring people despite having quite a few pets to tend to. They truly care for your pets health and needs. Overall, good experience here

Jeanette Gray

The only good thing was the super nice front office girl. The Dr diagnosed my dog with parvo when he in fact did not have it. $500 later after him staying the night my own vet did tests more than one.... and it was negative!!!

Fixed my 2 Ridgebacks many times! Very professional and highly skilled in weird surgery needs! I love them! Saved my fur babies multiple times.

Took my dog in the middle of the night and the staff was great .

Terrible customer service over the phone. Linda was unhelpful and very condescending towards my inquiry regarding my German Shepherd's recovery. Decent customer service in person along with hefty prices for even minor injuries.

my cat was attacked by 2 dogs he was hurt and I took him in to the animal hospital so he would get checked out. I asked them to tell me the price before I decided to have anything done to my cat since I did not have much money. they came out and told me how much it would cost; the price was around $1500.00. I thought it was a lot of money, but what I found to be more odd was that the nurse said in order for my cat to live this is how much it would cost which was $1,500.00 she said with that price, they would stabilized my cat. and if I did not pay that amount my cat would probably die. I was confused because when I took in my cat he was able to walk and still was alert he was just in pain. being that I did not have much money and that my cat was alert I told the nurse that I wanted him back. we waited about 15minutes to get him back; and when the nurse brought him out she just dropped my cat on my husband's arms and said he won't live long at all. she was very rude and was very sure that my cat would die soon. I noticed that my cat was more fragile than before and he was not alert anymore; Within minutes my cat died. I think that the animal hospital killed my cat because I did not have the money to pay. they are mean and cruel and have no feelings; they only care about money. I regret aking my beautiful cat to them. They killed my cat.p

Holy smokes! I don't understand how this place has 3.5 stars. Drea, Izzy, and Stacey were great. Dr. Rios was fast. The place is clean and super nice. I came in because my dogs sutures came undone after removing a lipoma at my regular vet. They cleaned the area and applied staples. I was in and out in about an hour. The price was reasonable. Amazing service from everyone all around. I will certainly be coming back to this place for all of my afterhours vet needs. Thank you!

I've taken my Chihuahua (13y.o.) twice in the last 3 years. They're worth every penny.

They treated my dog for about 2 and half months after he was attacked by to husky's. He had to have three surgery's and had to have a open wound treated every day. The vets and office staff were amazing They were very caring and professional. They took really good care of my Little Edward! I recommend them 100%. You guys are the best!!!!

Summer Thompson

They care. They treat my pets as if they were their own. Not running unnecessary tests or trying to upsell you. They find the problems that other vets miss.

Andrea Cantarrero

Paid $180, saw the Vet for maybe 5 mins. Said they wanted to hospitalize her and do some blood work, $980 I can't afford, so opted for "outpatient" treatment. My dog was NOT vomiting at all, they took her away and said I couldn't go in, then they said she was vomiting pretty bad, I said that is WEIRD. My dog was sick but ate a little that day. It was around 1AM. So they give her 2 shots and some medicine to take home. My dog died that afternoon. I think she couldn't handle the shots. Why couldn't they tell me it was that bad? Why wasn't I told to put her to sleep? Why did they take her away for over 40 mins and I wasn't able to see what they were doing to her? She cried three times that night. RIGHT AFTER SHE WAS GIVEN THOSE SHOTS. I wish I wouldn't have taken her here at all. I wonder if she would have made it without those shots. I hate this hospital, do not take the dogs here. By the way, the "vet" was very rude and just didn't seem to care. He screamed weirdly at a person when we were there, that would have been a red flag. I miss my baby, I miss her so much. I wish I could turn back time and never brought her to this dump. Please stay away from this place and also Arlington. Both terrible places. I am mourning the loss of my other half.

Best urgent care for pets! I brought my cat in she was drowning in the pool when we got home! She was so close to death and she was so cold! We got there as fast as we could and without a question or paperwork they took my cat back to the vet straight away. We where there waiting to see if she would pull through for about 3 hours! The staff was so friendly it was wonderful and very comforting. We got an estimate that was about 400-1000$ but we where willing to pay! When the time came! We braced ourselves for the bill and only ended paying 135$!! They do not try to rip you off and only do what’s absolutely necessary for your pet. My cat is safe now and happy as ever. GREAT PLACE!

If I could I would give minus five star. They only take your money and provide garbage service. Waiting time is a joke. Get ready to spend 3- 4 +hours minimum. My dog was in worse condition when i picked him up than when I left him there for only one night. Paid almost a grand. The doctor I talked to he was actually nice and knowledgeable but that’s all the good I can tell. Than what happens behind the closed doors who knows. Many times you can even overhear in the waiting room dogs are screaming inside. In that four hours of waiting time I have seen at least five to seven different people leaving the hospital with tears in their eyes. You know what it means. When I took my dog home he was drinking over a liter of water. I don’t know do they give water for him? Im sure if I leave him for an other night he wouldn’t make it. Never take my dog there. If his last hours will come let him be home in his comfortable environment.

Caleb Napper-Rogers

These people care about your pets. We brought our 2 year old cat in at 2 am when we realised he had a blocked bladder. The staff was very caring and kind. Their pricing is very good for being an emergency clinic, and they know their stuff. If you have an emergency with your fluffy family member do not hesitate coming to this place, you will be in great hands. Thank you for all your help in such a scary situation.

Israel Aguirre

Really bad experience i took my kitty and they did lab work they told me she was fine all they use to do in those 5 hours we were there was give me estimates every hour all they care is for the money read the other reviews most of them r bad the people in this animal hospital dont care i took my kitty to another vet i had to put her to sleep

My parents have taken all of their dogs here since I could remember. I have had some of my best memories, and my saddest moments at this facility. The staff here has always had the best intentions for my family and they always consult us before any procedure is done. People complain about this animal hospital being pricey. The thing is, to staff a 24-hour animal hospital is not cheap, and the professionalism of this staff is above reproach. With this background on the Grand Terrace Animal Hospital, I chose to bring my injured dog, King, there on Sunday the 10th of July 2016. They charged somewhere in the ballpark of $130 to examine King, patch him up, and supply us with antibiotics. Which is a small price for the years of happiness that King has ahead. I'm glad to have this place no more than 20 minutes from my house. I am confident in the staff here.

Cat Ramirez

Super caring and great care. Would bring my 17year old baby here anytime.

Gretta Cook

Kind caring staff, took great care of my dog

Melissa vasquez

If I can give a ZERO I would - this staff were rude and heartless- a small dog with a chip was brought in by a Good Samaritan with treatable symptoms the dog was chipped not registered a 501c3 reached out to the hospital to assist with vet bills and a chip number to track owners down - first cAll was to Izzy who said dog was alive and provided a chip number- we asked to pay vet bills she said call back when we called back Ana answers phone and said they killed the dog and didn’t bother to find owners , and Stacey came to phone all nasty and miserable days she’s the HEAD Of the Department- says she will NOT give me chip info since she doesn’t want me to notify owners that the hospital illegally killed a dog with a chip who had medical pledges . She was smirkey and said it didn’t matter who I complained to since she was “ head of program “ she said call talk to LINDA The place is unethical and unprofessional and disgusting

Top-notch, prompt, and compassionate care with a personal touch for my husky girls. Staff members provided a quiet, peaceful, and clean setting to ease Chelsea's transition. They cared enough to comment on my Facebook post the same day she passed and sent me a sympathy card two days later. The next day, Sasha's surgery went well at the same hospital. Price is pretty much comparable to other regular daytime animal hospitals, and I appreciate the convenient location and business hours. I normally don't like daytime hospitals because they're crowded. At this hospital, my pets are seen immediately, and it's only a very short drive from home.

I'm extremely disappointed with this. I was there waiting for 4 hours and my dad was also there for another 2+ hours and my dog never got seen.

I’ve been using this emergency hospital for over 15 years they have been very fair on price and saved lives for me I would recommend this hospital .

I brought my Dog in to this Emergency Clinic she had a heat Stroke the workers where extremely unprofessional (cursing and talking down to me and other customers) they where more concerned about the payment then treating my Dog Even the Dr. because i did not have the 1,400 dollars right then and there the disconnected my dog and said there was nothing they can do for her and needless to say my dog passed away that evening at home these people that work here they are not for the Animals they are about the money i have never been treated this way in my life i do not recommend these evil people to anymore do not take your pet to this Clinic in results to not having the money up front my dog died

Blake Van Vleet

Not that affordable and the staff is a little apathetic. However they do know their stuff and do the best that they possibly can

Kathy Cross

I took my cat to the clinic and was very pleased with the care he got.

Michelle Rose

Drove from Moreno Valley just to be told they could see her but I would have top pay the entire bill before leaving. Didn't offer a payment plan or anything. Pretty messed up on Christmas eve. Molly is all the family I have. I'll drive further before bringing her back here ever! They don't even deserve the 1 star.

Mitchell McAleer

The doc is sharp, and diagnosis accurate in the exam. The exam is the same cost and the xrays $50 less than up on the mountain. It's well worth the drive. My cat was about dead from an infected abcess on his leg. One day after treatment he's back to normal, the swelling in the leg is gone.

Katherine Hixson

**DO NOT TRUST THE VETS OPINION** I thought my pitbull had cancer & without any testing the vet convinced me she was ready to be PTS. Later I learn about cysts that can cause the same things/symptoms that my dog was having, not necessarily cancer. Since the vet talked me into believing it was cancer & euthanizing without testing for it, I will never know. Thanks Grand Terrace. I will never come here again :(

Jen Watts

UNHAPPY! Called about an emergency. Explained that though I live a little far (25-30 min), i have been here before and am seeking some emergency advice about an animal in severe distress. Person who answered told me to "make it quick" because they are "very busy". NO THANKS! I will contact a doctor who is willing to help. I am not willing to make my critical issue "quick". When an animal is in distress I need someone who is willing to care.

Jeff VanSteenbergen

Just had a scare with our pup and everyone at the animal hospital was amazing. They checked us in right away and the vet was so caring and put our dog at ease right away. I am so incredibly surprised how amazing the service was at 1:30 am. Great job, I had to post this review at 1:46 am even though I am super tired. Thank you much for everything!!

Linda Rifkin

All they care about is money. Take your pet elsewhere. If your options are limited, then insist on treatment only, no tests.

micah harmon

Everybody here is great EXCEPT for the daytime office manager! I called to get clarification on my dog's treatment thinking I was talking to one of the Doctors; however, it was the office manager and she was giving me veterinarian treatment advice over the phone! Admitted she was not a doctor at the end of the phone call and was extremely rude. I had some fairly complicated questions about the medications and narrowing down causes of an allergic reaction. Instead of getting a vet to speak to me over the phone, it evidently would have been too costly and troublesome for her to do that so she impersonated a vet until I asked her a question she didn't know the answer to. At that point, she said she wasn't a doctor. I guess my dog's well being is secondary to her time and profits. Leave it to this woman to be the only stain upon the good name of this clinic. She is highly unprofessional and, even worse yet, UNETHICAL! What do people pay you money for if they can't get the professional answers they pay hard earned wages to get?

Kelly Willis

I had a terrible emergency last night with my dog. They treated him immediately. Although my dog had to be euthanized, the staff was so kind and compassionate. I know they did everything they could. I truly appreciated their thoroughness and level of care. God Bless my Ollie.

All I can say is thanks. My dog was sick. Very sick. These people took him right in and I knew what was wrong after they took a blood test and had an answer within 20 minutes. Dr. Hardesty, what can you, just a very cool caring Doctor. Thank you all from Boo and he was happy to save the little kitty.

Savannah Leyvas

They charged me for unnecessary exams and we were charged for multiple x rays that we never requested. All they did was transfer my dog to another vet to put him on fluids. My dog ended up dying because we didn’t have the money to keep him on fluids. We still had to go back and finish paying off the x rays and exams. All these people want is money. I highly recommend not going here!

jana cheney

The people and the doctor were nice. That's where the glowing review ends. Do NOT take your pets here. They only want to take your money. My cat was gravely ill and rather than level with me, they kept her all night, never gave me a diagnosis/prognosis- left a port in her paw, didn't mention it needed to be removed by a different vet and then after charging me $675 for basically, prolonging her suffering, charged my niece (who picked her up the next day) another $20 for probiotics (for my gravely ill cat). I had to take my sweet kitty to a different vet who looked at Grand Terrace Emergency clinics tests, and looked at the condition of my kitty and the decision was made she needed to be euthanized. Why Grand Terrace could NOT have informed me of this after they tested her... I'll never know. Is the doctor not actually a doctor?? Instead i had to pay another $300 since I had to pay a NEW vet for another exam fee, plus euthanizing my sweet kitty. DON'T LET THESE PEOPLE STEAL YOUR MONEY. find a vet who actually cares about your pets well being.

Please do not take your loved one to this Clinic. Front office staff is incompetent. The Vet told me it would take an hour and a half for blood work. Advised me to return at 7:30 p.m. I checked in at 7:15 p.m. it took me until 9:00 p.m. to get a response about my dog. I went to the counter 3 different times to inquire. They continually told me the Vet would be right with me. When she finally came out with blood results she informed me she had called me 3 times and I didn't respond. I informed her I had been waiting since 7:15 and no one called me and I never left the office. She was very rude and condesending. I told her I advised the front staff at 8:00 pm I wanted my dog brought to the lobby to be with me because I had to continue to wait. The staff did nothing. It was a nightmare dealing with everyone there. My Vet's recording advised me to go to this Clinic. I will be sharing with my Vet. I know this does no good, but if it helps that just one person doesn't have to experience this place it will be worth it.

Took my Beagle here last night because I suspected he may have gotten a foxtail in huis nose. and they had me in an exam in less than 10 minutes. 10 minutes later the doctor came in and recommend some anaesthesia to examine his nostril and if anything is found to remove it. Turns out that it was indeed a foxtail and they successfully removed it. The price of the procedure wasn't dicussed with me before they performed the removal. But after it was all done I found the price to be very affordable. Only $169 total so my poor baby boy can use his sniffer without sneezing uncontrollably. Thank you AEC!!

This is great pet hospital to take your pet in an afterhours emergency. We brought our chihuahua to this location around 11pm on friday after my dog was vomiting white foam and not eating throughout the day. There was a test conducted and was told 10 minutes later he was diagnosed with parvo virus. They told us the odds of survival and we dicided to go through the care to save him. They promptly took him in for medical care. We stopped in to visit our dog after a day to see how he was doing. He was a lot better but still weak. We kept him there for another two days until his condition became better and recommended to take him to the vet for futher care and treatment. Thank you again for your help.

Lori Harrison

This is such an amazing clinic. They were extremely comforting to us when we took our 17yr old Shepherd mix Piddles in to have her put down. They all were Very caring , And then when I checked the mail from yesterday, this lovely card and kind words, hand written by the staff was in the box. (Tears and more tears). Thank you so much for caring and going above and beyond for us and her!!!! Outstanding clinic!!! They don’t get much better than this.

Michelle Dalke

We had to put our old man down yesterday. He made it to 18, pretty good for a big cat. The staff was compassionate and understanding and treated both him and us with care and respect. They have a special room in their new location set up to be very calming and serene. It looks nothing like a vet's office and was a nice place to spend our last time with our boy. They even have a back door that you can sneak out of when you are done so you don't have to go back through the lobby with tears in your eyes. Their prices are the best around, too. Highly recommend if you have to make that final choice for your beloved pet.

Thank you for the compassion that you showed to the dog that we found and brought in last night. I know that its last minute here were surrounded by caring people.

Ms. Catherine F. Lazzara

Absolutely horrible clinic. I took my cat there and they gave me an estimate for a simple surgery that would have been life threatening for the feline. So listen up. If you have an estimate for a simple procedure such as: Lance, Drain and Flush, the doctors should know exactly how much sedative OR gas it will take. Secondly, they should give you the right diagnosis in the first place. My cat had a cyst that popped. I was told by this clinic that he had something in his paw and needed surgery. The estimate called for a strong sedative and then they "may" need to use gas. Thank god I know enough to know, that is not correct. I asked them to do gas or shot, but not both because it is not safe. They said :the sedative has the pain killers in it:. SO! use a different pain killer that is not in a sedative. The whole thing was wrong. When I took my 13lb cat to his regular doctor the next day, they did an $80.00 exray and saw it was only a cyst. One more thing, This clinic did give me a 7 day supply of antibiotics for my cat, the problem is that it is only enough for 4 days. Total scam. If you have had a similar or bad experience, I urge you to file a complaint with The Veterinary Medical Board. It is the only way to regain control of our community and the businesses that are operating in it.

LaVaun Johns

Most compassionate and knowledgeable. Today I had to put my dog down unexpectedly but when I left I knew I'd done the right thing because I completely trust this vet. They have saved the lives of many of our pets over the years and put down a few. I wish they were my everyday vet. The costs are a bit more but not unreasonable. Sad because I live a few blocks from an ER Vet and do not feel the same way. I drive 20 minutes to go here instead.

My little furbubbie seemed to be in some serious pain around the neck and on the left side near the shoulder. I have never heard her cry out before for anything, so I was really scared when this happened three or four times in one day. Finally I decided to take her to a hospital and I was very GRATEFUL for the care they gave both my furbubbie and me. Very professional and curteous. I will have to wait and see if the diagnosis was right and if she is over the issue since I just got home from there right now.

Deanna Smith

I do not even want to give them a star they do not deserve it. Do NOT take your animals here. My CSA got hit by a car and I took her there because they were supposed to be the BEST and the Vet lied to me about her injuries. She assured me over and over that her injuries were not life threatening at all. I had to have her transfered to another hospital for her jaw injury and that hospital told me that they didnt understand why that vet told me the injury wasnt that bad when it was. My dog was in so much pain and could hardly breathe. She had to be put down. I am so furious with this hospital for lying to me just so that they could keep my dog there to get money out of me. Protect your furbabies and take them somewhere else.

Bianca Blua

Called ahead to see if we can get in. They said no waiting, be we have been here for 2 hours. I know it is an emergency hospital, but at least they could be more communicative as to why and how long it will be. I should have just gone to Arlington Emergency, they are much nicer.

Manuel Knighton

I brought my dog in because it had in infection from a dog bite and it needed to be checked, they wouldn't see my dog because they wanted the cash before seeing him and they wouldn't give me an estimate when I asked how much, I won't ever take another pet here go to another vet that actually cares.

Steve Hansen

This place is a rip off, my dog was bleeding badly from a cut on his paw, this place took 1 minute to look at him and told me it would be $600 to put a few stitches in, I told them I did not have that much money and asked that if they could help him I would give them everything I had which at the time was about $300, I pulled the money out of my pocket and begged them to help my dog, they told me there was nothing they could do for him unless I paid the $600 in full. We left, they have been sending me a bill for an emergency exam at $80, we werent in the place for more than 10 minutes and they want me to pay them after they refused to help a hurt animal, they dont care about your animal just your money. I wouldn't take my dog back there if it was the last place on earth. Follow up. After receiving the bill month after month I decided to call and let them know I was not going to pay, the lady that answered the phone was unfriendly and rude before I told her my reason for calling, she then went on this 5 minute long pat on the back speech of how well they do and how great their clinic is and then hung up on me. I hope nobody takes there animal here. Do your self and your pet a favore and find a place that cares about animals.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS EXCUSE FOR A VETS OFFICE WHERE VETS HAVE DISCIPLINARY ACTION AGAINST THEM BY THE AVMA

Norma Vazquez

I took my baby here as he got very sick overnight. Dr Lynde was extremely caring and thorough, run all needed tests and admitted him for IV to make sure he will be out of pain and hydrated. All the staff were very prompt to help. Recommend this place without a doubt.

Lance Kelly

Excellent service. Brought my cat in around 2 am, explained symptoms to Dr. Williams and she stated what she believed was cause of illness needed blood test to confirm. I researched it while waiting and it was spot on. Blood test confirmed and in her experience there weren't any successful cases. It wasn't the news I wanted but after explaining initial costs and little to no chance of success my family decided to put my cat down. I saw Dr. Williams showing compassion throughout our process, she felt our pain. Dr. Williams and her staff were excellent through our time there. They were recommended by a friend and I would also recommend based on my experience. Thank you for the great job, I really felt you cared.

Lisa Wilkerson-Willis

Unless your cat or dog has been hit by a car and it’s truly an emergency, take a deep breath, calm down and take your pet to the animal hospital in Loma Linda in the morning. Especially if your pet has been sick for a while, chances are it will still be alive when you wake up. It’s 70 dollars prior to midnight, 90 dollars after just for the visit alone, with a minimum wait time of an hr. You will be paying almost double the price for the same care, meds, etc you will be receiving at any other animal hospital. You know it’s ridiculously expensive when as you’re sitting there waiting for your turn the nurse at the counter calls over another person, slides them a paper and says this is the amount you are looking at, without actually saying the dollar amount, and then saying, “and we will take a 300 dollar deposit now, with the rest due when you return at 8 in the morning.” That is just the right amount of time to hit up your family, friends and acquaintances for cash. Unfortunately I found that out the hard way. I gathered my senses and left. I took my cat to the regular hospital in the morning and he got what he needed...he’s doing much better now.

Mirza Urquilla

If I can rate them more than 5 stars I would. They were really good with my maggie. I will definitely be coming back.

Armand Nevarez

If I Could give it more stars I would! After running a whole nightmare of a experience at 5 other hospitals and all of them just charging me unbelievable amounts of my which I did not have. I was truly struggling and my poor pup with still no solution. I finally came and gosh it brings tears to my eyes even as I write this review, but they helped me find a solution thru all this. They truly are the best around there is no doubt at all. They are as honest and compassionate as they come.

Kiona Kolander

We took our cat here and sat for almost 3 hours, just to be told over and over that we were next, only to sit longer and longer. When we were finally put in a room, it was disgusting.... smelled bad, like dirty animal and there was blood spattered on the the wall and sides of the exam table. We had our 2 year old with us and it was next to impossible to keep him contained for that long. We finally left, without our poor kitty getting seen. Who knows how much longer it would have been? The staff didn't seem the least bit concerned at all, they all moved around like they were stuck in molasses. Shame on them, they charge $70 just to be seen, only to take their sweet time and have 1 doctor working for an entire emergency clinic.

Cristina Castellanos

Nice staff, they were able to help my doggy in a timely manner. Excellent service.

Rhonda Kennedy

We just recently took our cat Baby Bear in Friday night around 4am for having a urinary track problem and the Receptionist/Technician Ray was so helpful and friendly from the moment I called to when we were there, she's a sweetheart! Dr Williams was also very friendly, informative and professional in helping us with our Baby Bear. These 2 were more friendly and caring in the late night than most day time Veternarians. The place is also very clean, like that!

S Martin

Expensive... lol... glad they were there to save my dog!!! I was pleased with the vet I dealt with too.

Bumpertrash1 .

Took my dog gia to them on 8/30/16 because she had eaten rat poison.. she is home today thanks to the knowledgeable staff.. Woodcrest vet said because you did a great job that she probably wouldn't have made it.. thank you so much from my family..

Kainoa Rodriguez

Tick removal needed for my dog... I was told they would not give me a ballpark figure over the phone. I would pay the exam fee, obviously, but the doctor has their own fee for services rendered and it’s a case by case basis. Wow!! Worse than the Dentists office. What a waste of my time especially since I’m on a fixed income and need to know how to budget myself. I’ll defintely seek help elsewhere, others should do the same. Thanks for nothing.

My son's cat, Vina, was suffering from a terrible malignant tumor in her jaw and there was no hope for a long term cure or successful treatment. Vina deteriorated rapidly and was barely able to eat and the tumor was actually pushing the teeth from their positions in the lower jaw. The difficult decision was made to euthanize next week but Vina showed visible signs of suffering and it was clear that it was no longer an option to wait. The Animal Emergency Clinic opens at 6:00 PM and my son, daughter-in-law and I were able to walk in with Vina to a beautiful reception area with staff at the ready to help us. Vina was taken into the back right away while we checked in with the kind receptionist, Izzy, who waited patiently as I was unable to even speak being so distressed. My son was able to complete the check-in paperwork, a very efficient and brief process, and render payment so we could focus on Vina only. The technician, Stacey, was efficient, professional, but also kind and compassionate. We were taken to a quiet room with soft lighting, a small water fountain which was soothing to listen to, comfortable seating with cushions, and a gurney covered with a soft blanket for Vina. Vina was carried into the room with the IV line in place. We were able to visit with her and offered any length of time to say our good-byes. Vina was calm, happy, and content and no signs of fear or anxiety. Dr. Rios entered the room quietly and walked us through the process, relaxation medication in the line and then the final medication for euthanasia, with Vina's last memory being that of our comforting hands holding her. Dr. Rios was very professional and calm but also showed tremendous compassion and empathy for our pain and the loss of our pet. I am writing this review the night of our loss of our beloved Vina with the experience fresh in my mind. I am so happy that Vina did not spend her final moments in a cold clinic on a colder examination table with bright lights and loud noises. I highly recommend this clinic if the sad decision is made to put a beloved pet to sleep as the environment is calming for the pet as well as the pet parents. Thank you all, wonderful staff, Dr. Rios, Stacey, Izzy, and the technicians who helped us transition Vina from this life. Highly recommend!

We have come here twice due to pitbull attacks. I have found the staff to be knowledgeable, capable, and sympathetic. Yes, it can be costly and yes there may be a wait, but they do their best. And for those commenting on the payment plans, they apparently accept Care Credit.

Excellent Staff. They really cared about my Doberman and made sure he was comfortable during his exam. Kudos to the whole staff.

Ilany Garcia

They are kind and caring in a remote way, given they are in a triage environment.

My dog was attacked a week ago today She was severely hurt and they gave me an estimate a high and low it was roughly around $1200 I paid 1100 the next day they gave me some antibiotics and some pain medicine for her. They told me that she might need more surgeries better bring a back in two days to take out drainage tubes. Not once did they tell me to watch her closely or did they give me any antibiotics for her stitches , they never said she might not make it they just took my money and 20% more plus the day that she died they added more money to that . The morning I was to take a back She was non responsive . She died within minutes of me taking her in. Please do not take your pet here. They just want your money. The cost Will be on the high end and they they will charge you 20 % more and a dead pet Without blinking a eye. I still owe them 355.00 dollars Take your pet any where but there .Please

This facility left an IV in my dogs paw under gauze taped aroung top side of paw and didnt even mention it at all when I picked him up. I certainly expected more after the 5.5 hour ordeal and some $500.00 later. Thank the good Lord that my dog made it. Too bad they are the ONLY animal Emergency Clinic around for 50 miles. Very unprofessional and shotty. By the grace of God I hope I never need to take another animal there again. My sister took her dog there after she was hit by a car late at night about a year ago. Unfortunately they were unable to save the dogs life who passed away at the clinic. My family specifically asked for the remains of the animal of course to put to final rest & closure and agreed to have clinic hold the animals body for 2 days so they had time to come up with money to bury pet . When they actually arrived the very next afternoon to pick up their lifeless beloved pet they were told that the dog was no longer there because it was disposed of in the wrong container of unwanted dead animals which had been previously picked up that morning and already gone. The staff called police on my family after they became upset because the staff showed no empathy nor made any effort whatsoever to locate, find or return animal. The staff refused to issue refund or appology. Police told family to leave premises and file civil action against facility or face immediate arrest and be taken to jail.

My dog ingested soil that had enough gopher poison in it to trigger a reaction. We live 30 minutes away and were in a position to call and notify them before we arrived about her needs. When we got there they took her from us right away, and gave us a break down of the bill. We paid $500 which included treatment (IV fluids, antacid for her stomach, over night stay and some injections). We were sad to leave her behind and called about 10 hours later for a progress - which they reported she was doing well. A few hours later we got the good news that she was fit to go home! My experience with them over all was positive given the situation we had. I would be happy to go back to them for any emergency needs in the future.

Absolute rip off. They didn't help answer any of my questions and charged me $700. The most unfortunate thing was they didn't help my dog he came in the same way he left. I recommend any other animal hospital but this one.

PT2 of Mackenzie Elethorp's review (my daughter) since it wouldn't let her finish----They said they gave him an injection (no idea what, getting answers from these people is no easy task) they gave him fluids because he was dehydrated and oral antibiotics and on we went. This whole process took four hours and had a nice bill at the end but the money is not what I cared for. When leaving I was very concerned because there was more blood coming obviously from his nose now then when I had dropped him off but I refused to send him back in there. While waiting I spoke to a couple who was there picking up their dog after an extensive surgery from this same office who called and said nothing was found so the surgery turned out to be unnecessary. I understand their dog has nothing to do with my situation but it does speak about the character of this place. I woke up at 8 AM June 10, 2019 to find my cat under my bed with his face in the floor gasping for air I immediately went to our normal vet that was now open. Within FIVE minutes of being there they had found an abscess in his neck and the blood from his nose identified cancer, they said it reached his lymph nodes. They informed me that my cat WAS indeed suffering and in a large amount of pain. I immediately broke down and told them to put him to sleep because he should not have had to suffer, I truly feel that my cat suffered because of human ignorance that this animal hospital had to offer. Take what you will from this review but always know it is not normal for them not to let you go back with your animal to make sure he’s getting the care he needs always demand to go back and oversee if not then leave.

The staff immediately recognised an emergency situation with my dog who I love like family, I got there filled out some forms and as soon as i finished a woman staff member rushed to helped me get him onto a gerny to move him inside. We got a room straight away and a nurse checked his temp as soon as we settled in and then went and got my little guy some blankets to help warm him while we waited. It only took the veterinarian a minute to get into our room, she looked him over gave us a quick run down on what it could be and how severe each scenario would be. Got him in for an x-ray within 15 minutes of pulling into the parking lot, one of the nurses was nice enough to let me walk with them into the x-ray room and pet and talk to him for a little longer to calm my own nerves more so than his haha, After the x-rays came out they didn't show any major issues so the veterinarian explained what that meant, our next steps and options. After all the testing and when treatment was started and he was more stable they allowed my girlfriend and I to stay in the back with our dog for quite some time just petting and talking to him. We asked if he could have a blanket and the nurse took his temp again then happily got him a very large comfortable blanket. After we Said our goodbyes for the evening I drove home and called them to see if there was any updates. The nurse checked and in a timely and professional manner gave an update on my dog's wellbeing and any changes in his demeanor. This morning I went to pick him up, enroute there I called and asked how he was doing and got the same professional answers. Upon arriving to pick him up I paid and got him while only waiting a few minutes. At times I can be a very demanding person especially when it involves my dog, and in a very hard time the staff was calm, sweet, collected, informative, and clearly working towards the comfort and health of my dog. It was a little pricey so make sure to ask prior to agreeing to services. Thank you to everyone working there, you saved my family member.

Wow. These reviews have changed my mind about going there. The complaints were bad enough, but it was the responses by the clinic that gave me pause. From the sarcasm ("I'm sorry if you thought $70 was too much") to their coldness and lack of empathy for those who suffered heartbreaking losses, euthanizing a poor stray (my vet, Dr Brajdich in Moreno Valley, keeps them and finds homes for them. I even adopted one named Suzie from there who had been there a couple of months. She was brought in by a homeless person. I've had Suzie for two years now and she is the sweetest dog in the world.

I have come here for years. I am looking for a new place. The wait is always a minimum of 3 hours to be seen. They are understaffed and do not seem in a hurry even when your a true emergency. Sad they use to be good.

Meg W

Dr.Johnstone and this at this saved my cats life. Super professional, and caring. We have come here for years, through four dogs, five cats, and even a hamster. I will always trust them with my animals. To give you and idea of the care they give, they had me come to the back knowing my cat was aggressive when stressed. I calmed him down, and they got the blood work and everything done so fast. Thank you Dr. Johnstone and the wonderful staff.

I’m not going to leave a distasteful review about the whole office when really my problem is with the one veterinarian that supposedly “treated” my cat. Instead, I’ll leave a review about my experience in this office step-by-step and what ultimately lead to me having to put my cat down today at 9:30am (at a completely different veterinarian). Please understand, I am not blaming these people for the death of my cat, I am explaining the mistreatment my cat received while in this office and the unnecessary suffering he endured for the remainder of the night. I took my cat in around 7:30 PM June 9, 2019. When I brought him in he was clearly in pain crying at every touch or movement. I explained I was not sure the last time he was vaccinated, probably 2-3 yrs prior, but that this was not normal behavior. He had blood coming from somewhere, nose or mouth but hard to tell which. I could only see a small amount periodically because he was drooling so much and it was frothy. I explained that he was both an indoor/outdoor cat, but he preferred to be outside. The lady at the desk heard his cries and took him in immediately because she saw his discomfort and knew something was wrong. She was not even a veterinarian and she could see that much. They did not even allow me to stay with my cat during the exam, or subsequent treatment. I found this odd, and disturbing. I have always been allowed to accompany my animals AT EVERY OTHER VET. After the initial exam, the vet came out and spoke to me and informed me the first step was to do a blood test and in case he’d been hit by a car, maybe x-I agreed to the blood test but denied the x-rays because I knew the possibility of a broken bone was very unlikely due to the fact he never leaves our property. NEVER. It’s an acre, surrounded by fences. When she came in she was very obviously judging me over the fact that he hadn’t been vaccinated in awhile and therefore continued to be dismissive of everything else I expressed concern for. I was concerned that he was suffering, both because he was crying out and he couldn’t walk, was frothy at the mouth with a bloody discharge he was gagging and choking. To set me straight, she stated and I quote “him crying means nothing, cats cry when they’re hungry”! I understand what she was attempting to say, but believe me, I know his hungry cry, and I certainly didn’t take him to an Emergency Vet, knowing what it may cost because HE WAS HUNGRY!! Instead of listening to what I had to say and allowing me to give her some history of my cat, that was most definitely relevant, she took her time to explain to me that he was a potential danger to all other cats around him, (I had expressed concern he may have an infection because he constantly fights with strays from our neighborhood) I can appreciate her concern for the stray cats, they are still animals who need care but they aren’t the cat who I was paying her to examine. She initially stated that there was very little sign of infection in his blood, and said she was unsure if it was bacterial and could be treated with antibiotics. She also suggested she would need to run additional tests for Feline leukemia and Feline Aids. I of course okayed that test as well, I truly believed my cat was suffering. I had explained that no matter how hard it would be for me, I would put him down to avoid him suffering. She also told me she did a full inspection for any type of wound and found nothing on his body. After about an hour and a half the clerk comes back to me to sign paperwork saying they were sending my cat home with antibiotics for a bacterial infection, at this point nobody had told me about the second test results I had to ask to which nobody knew the answer to but they were ready to send my cat home anyway. At this point I signed the paperwork to get him out of there because they would not let me see him, they only told me that The second test came back negative so it had to be an infection. They said they gave him an injection (no idea what, getting answers from these people is no easy task) PLZ READ PT2!!!

Lost our golden retriever of 11 years which has been very difficult. I came to this hospital very late with my dog and the staff were very understanding. The veterinarian working did a great job comforting my family and also my dog. Although my princess is no longer here with me I am very much happy with the quality of care the staff gave us. Thank you .

Kathy Cosme

Brought my German shepherd in one night as she had been limping from her front leg for a few days. The vet who treated her was really nice and professional. FYI take your prescriptions elsewhere! They markup the price so much for meds! I'm talking about 30.00 for 7 pills where a pharmacy would have them 30 pills for 20.00!!

I had a amazing experience overall with this facility. My fur baby got fast treatment from the minute we walked in. The staff members are very nice and pleasant and the doctors are knowledgeable and were able to answer my questions and concerns. Yes, health treatments are expensive but my fur baby’s life is more important to me and my family. Thank you again for taking good care of my baby Ace. Now, we can follow up with her primary veterinary.

I took my dying chihuahua there that was attacked by a pitbul and they were asking for 4,000 that I didn't have and didn't even give me the option to do payments or to surrender her so I pretty much paid almost 400 just for them to put her down it was traumatizing I know if they would tried she might still b here with me how can people be so cold blooded to not offer atleast other options all I wanted is for her to live she was my everything

Fast friendly service. The vet was very understanding of my pet's situation, and they knew exactly what to do. Price is very reasonable as well. This will be my place to go in case of future emergencies.

WORST animal clinic I’ve ever been to. My sister and I took her dog there for a simple broken leg and they wrapped her leg so tightly it cut her foot causing an infection of Gangrene. The infection got so bad she lost a toe(thankfully not her whole foot). They refuse to admit fault and keep belittling my sister (since she is 18) even though the infection was a direct result of the wrapping they did being too tight (which was confirmed by another animal hospital). She had ZERO cuts on her foot before being wrapped by them. NEVER go here. They don’t care about your animals.

Leida Thomas

As an emergency clinic, they have to deal with critical patients. I needed to put my dog down and couldn't wait thru the weekend. They were so kind to my pet and understanding to me. I know their job to perform this task is incredibly difficult, their handling of the patient and the people. This was one of the most difficult good bye's, and I commend the staff and the Vet for their hearts to do a job most of us could not do. Thank you

Jessica Pickett

The staff is great! The clinic is clean and comfortable. They do not price gouge at all either! We have always walked out paying less than expected. I have been here a couple of times and they have exceeded expectations every time!

We have used these folks off and on for years for our pet emergencies. We were tending pets at a friends house (family trip) on a recent weekend and on Friday evening (just after the local vets closed) we discovered a frayed wire embedded into one of the dogs rear feet. The cable was wrapped around both legs and appeared to be wrapped around the dew claw to the point of pinching it off. We took our unhappy dog to the AEC where they rushed us into a room (after looking at the foot) and then send the dog for care while then getting our information. We were surprised when they brought the dog back in less that 3 minutes in her normal happy state! The vet told us that the wire was only wrapped with hair and was a simple matter of carefully cutting the hair to remove the wire, and that there was no charge! Have a nice day! I told my daughter that I would write them a letter or review and figured that I could do it here where people can see it, so yes I do recommend the Animal Emergency Clinc in Grand Terrace Ca. Perk

We were 75 miles away in the high desert on a Sunday when our dog chased a rabbit into a bunch of cholla cactus. The spines were everywhere, between his toes, his eyelids, even down his throat. There were no nearby veterinarians open, so we made the trip to Animal Emergency Clinic. Our dog was going into shock as we loaded him into the car. When we got there they were extremely busy, but they sedated him and gave him fluids and monitored him closely until a tech became available that could manually remove hundreds of fishhook type cactus spines. It was a day long stay for him as they had active trauma cases coming in all day that demanded immediate attention. He recovered just fine and I thought the charges were very reasonable considering the amount of time his treatment took. And I know he was kept stable and as comfortable as possible until the time consuming, unavoidable cactus removal was carefully done. So grateful they were available to help our accident prone boy.

Wyatt Koenen

I don’t write reviews, but this place was fantastic. Arrived there around midnight and they took care of our dogs (poisoned by sago palm) within 10 minutes and let us know what our entire procedure would look like. They communicated very well. Extremely pleased with staff.

Rosie Martinez

Beautiful remodeled clinic... Clean, great staff, and available for emergency visits

Greg E

My dog was bit pretty badly and in terrible pain. She required multiple stitches in several places. The staff and the Vet were very caring and professional. Within three hours time she was ready to go home and looked great compared to how she came in. For emergency care the price was totally reasonable. I'm very happy and would highly recommend this clinic.

Terry Benson

Took our 7-year old Basset in at 2am for labored breathing and obvious pain. Staff was efficient, attentive and very helpful. The cost was better than I expected for emergency care. We pay for these kind of services because we love our dogs. The best in the I.E.

Harry Stone

They were busy but you could tell they were working as fast as they could. They're deeply passionate about what they do and strive to do it well. Our wait time wasn't bad and the staff was extremely competent. Excellent work.

They saved my dog's life when he was hit by a car. I couldn't ask for more.
