Now this firm has a score of 4.4 stars over 5 and that score has been based on 296 reviews.
You may have noticed that the average score it has is really good, and it is based on a very high number of scores, so we may be pretty sure that the valuation is quite accurate. If people have bothered to evaluate when they've done well, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to give scores when they are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Veterinarian corresponds to the category of Veterinarian.
Had to make an emergency visit on a Sunday. Even though they were extremely busy, they made time and gave us the attention to make sure we understood the steps needed to help our dog- Shyanne. Excellent service
Very friendly. Walked in without an appointment and was scheduled within the hour on a Sunday! Took excellent care of my sick puppy and had him feeling better by the next day!
The staff at Weddington Animal Hospital are always pleasant and professional. What is normally a stressful situation for a pet is made significantly better as the mood is light and friendly inside. Their hours make it very easy to schedule appointments and there is never any sticker shock when it's time to settle up. Thoroughly enjoy every aspect of the business... And I'm not kitten! ... I'll see myself out :(
Always a great experience!
Very gentle and caring throughout entire appointment.
We couldn’t have found a better place that took care of our dog. Greg was our first dog and they not only took perfect care of him they also took enough time to explain us everything and to discuss the next steps. When we moved to the UK, they helped much to make Greg’s travel as smooth as possible. I highly recommend Dr. Faulkner and his team.
I thought the staff was very caring, and did a great job taking care of my rescue pup.
I love this place they have been great to my boy Harley. Everyone is so good at their job an they really care about him. I'd never take him anywhere else.
I've been taking my pets to Wedington Animal Hospital for many years and I highly recommend them.
I have used Wedington Animal Hospital. I have used the for cats and kittens. They are excellent I have never used anyone that I trust as much with my precious kittens and cats than Wedington Animal Clinic. Having weekend hours is very convenient because like people animals don't akways need care only Monday through Friday.
The staff is friendly and the service is great. I love that they are open 7 days a week!
Wedington Animal Hospital has taken care of our animals for over 20 years - they are always available - always provide wonderful care and they always treat our family pets the way they would their own. The entire staff: Doctors, Receptionists, Boarding Staff and Tech's are absolutely phenomenal.
Been here two times during emergency situations and they've always been incredibly understanding and gentle! The vets and staff obviously care about the patients. They do require payment by time of the procedure which can be hard but the care itself is of good quality. The prices aren't bad either especially when compared to other vets offices I've been. I will definitely be returning here!
Amazing people from the people at the front to everyone in the back! Took very good care of my dog as if she was part of the family! Answered any questions I had and will be recommending them to anyone that needs a vet!
Would normally give 5 stars, but have become increasingly unhappy with how long it takes to get my dogs pills refilled. Used to be within 24 hours, now 48 hours (hopefully). They only have to count out a few pills that I even cut in half at home. They used to cut the pills for me, but no longer do that. I don't know why it takes someone so long to just put 15 tablets in a bottle for me to pickup. My dog's prescription has not changed for years and will not change. I can get my prescriptions filled by Walgreens just down the street within 20 minutes. I wonder if I can get my dog's pills there?
Excellent service for me and Beemer today. I felt comfortable leaving him there for grooming and immunizations. He was ready when I went to pick him up and he was happy!
Awesome friendly staff. Dr. Hearing is so kind and understandable. All of my 5 dog and 1 Cat go the Wedding animal Hospital. My oldest dog is 12 years old. If anything is going on with my pets they are quick to get me an schedule appointment and the staff send us a condolence card when my daughter first dog past away. Love you guys.
I was a bit late to my appointment but they didn't get upset about that. All of the staff was very friendly and very helpful! If your looking for a vet choose weddington Animal hospital!
Dr Wright was very knowledgeable and kind to our sweet dog throughout his recovery from a knee injury.
This weekend my brothers dog was turned away from this facility and directed to the Springdale emergency. The vet was too tired to see him. The dog had paralyzed airways and was choking and died in result of having to be driven so far away. Dr. Herring said they offer emergency services until 10pm but he was too tired to help our dog even though it was around 8pm. I wouldn’t take my animal here if I were you. They won’t receive the care they need.
I was worried about my dog and called on a Saturday to get an appointment. They answered the phone quickly and got me in the same day. When I got there, it was one of the best experiences with a vet that I have ever had. I was not a regular customer, so I did not know the vet. After greeting me, he quietly sat down and let my dog come to him. I appreciate that he took the time to relax my dog and really watch her behavior. His exam was more of an strategic stroking of her fur to determine her areas of pain, instead of just grabbing her and stressing her out more. He took the time educated me on my dog's situation without making me feel patronized. I just cannot say enough good things about Wedington Animal Hospital. They were there for me and my dog. We got superlative veterinary care and I am a huge fan!
I've been bringing Star to Wedington Animal Hospital for 2 years, since we moved here. They have always been great with her from her annual wellness visits to our most involved care of a cruciate ligament repair and removal of a suspicious growth. They kindness and compassion all have shown her is amazing. The surgeries (both were done at the same time) were several hundred less than I had anticipated though I can't put a price on a member of my family's care... Then there are her monthly grooming appointments with Rebekah - she has taken care of Star since day one and she can never leave...Star absolutely loves her...as do we. Great place if you want good care for your animals.
Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Very affordable
Such competent and caring staff and vets. That they are open 7 days a week and for extended hours each day makes it so convenient too. We have complete confidence and trust in their medical judgement and that our pets are in the best possible hands there.
I took my sick pup here because my normal vet was closed. I absolutely loved how compassionate they were and were genuinely as concerned as I was about my dog. Would highly recommend this place!
Absolutely awful service! Would never trust them with my pup. Can’t believe they are a hospital for emergencies.
Wonderful staff and facilities! My family has been using this Animal Hospital and boarding facility for 20+ yrs. I couldn't ask for better service. Highly recommended!
Very friendly and helpful staff. Glad that they have late office hours and open 7 days a week. New to the area and very glad we found a good, reliable clinic for our cats!
The ONLY Place I take my Dog to. They've been so helpful with any issues my pet has, from Sensitive skin issues to Seasonal Fleas & Ticks. They were there at Midnight once for an emergency. I moved 70 miles away 2 years ago & I still drive my baby to this Vet because they simply are that good & Caring!! Good Grooming is available as well.
Staff is so kind to us. They always get to the root of the problem. Found out pretty quickly that Sera, my 9 year old Chihuahua has diabetes unfortunately. Thanks for getting us through these times.
My baby dog, Paquita was very sick and on the way home, she was better. They worked with my budget and Vet Amie Stuke, was great. A great Vet and a great place, to take your pet.
We love the kenneling service! My Pup always comes home happy!
The staff and Dr.Rolland was amazing when I had a concern about our pup after she had surgery. I don’t usually fill out recommendations, but I felt like they went above and beyond last night. I’m so glad we trusted them with our fur baby. Dr. Rolland has a genuine love for dogs (I’m sure all animals) and a love for her job that you can see. Thanks again Wedington Animal Hospital!!!
The staff was very friendly and helpful. They could tell that our puppy hadn't been in the best care prior to us having him. But ensured that we had everything we needed and the information we needed to raise our pet. Best clinic I've been to in a long time.
Convenient hours and so reasonably priced.
The staff is professional and courteous. I was very pleased with the care provided to my dog. The fact that they have extended hours and are open on weekends provides me with peace of mind knowing that my dog can be cared for at almost anytime.
So kind and gentle! We've seen them twice in not so good times and better times, and they're so compassionate. Absolutely recommend them!
Great care, well explained. Thank you Dr. Raymond and staff.
I was told by a staff member that suture removal was free, but when I came back two weeks later they charged me over $80. When I asked why the bill was that high, the receptionist told me that “suture removal is free, but you have to pay for an exam”. They conveniently left that part out when I was originally quoted for the visit. I only brought enough cash with me to pay for them to clip my dogs nails since I was told the visit to remove his sutures was complimentary to the $900 visit two weeks ago. They also charged me $23 dollars to clean just one of my dogs ears... I did appreciate them seeing my dog without an appointment since it was an emergency. I do not recommend using Wedington Animal Hospital due to them being dishonest about their pricing.
I have been using Wedington for 4 years because it is very convenient to where I live and the hours are wonderful for someone who works 8-5. I like the doctors and staff there but the past 3 times that I have been, I have waited 45 minutes to an hour in the exam room before my pets have been seen. I also was discouraged when I was charged $40 for a follow up appointment that was ordered where they literally looked at my dog and told me he looked good. I am looking into other vets in the area for future care and visits for my pets.
Had to make an emergency visit on a Sunday. Even though they were extremely busy, they made time and gave us the attention to make sure we understood the steps needed to help our dog- Shyanne. Excellent service

I have never written a single negative review of any business before this. The point of this review is to prevent others from being swindled during emotional times. It is not about the money I lost, but the inability of one doctor to simply own a mistake made by an employee. The line of communication between staff and doctors is incredibly poor near to the point of dishonesty and cost me a lot of money and heart ache. I spoke with a receptionist who incorrectly quoted me for the euthanization of a pet rooster in incredibly poor shape. I consulted with two friends/clinics immediately and decided it was a good idea and booked the appointment for the following day. The appointment had not been booked upon arrival. My fiancé took the bird in and was charged 127$ for him to be euthanized with only a sedative because he was so bad off. They charged us 45$ for an office visit that I was told would not be a necessary charge the day before. They unexpectedly charged us 15$ for a body bag when we came in with a carrier when I had asked about these fees before. This was all cleared up during my call the day before because I feared this would happen. Not one detail of that prior conversation was true, nor did anyone take responsibility for it. I then addressed this issue with 3 very patient, kind women on staff who understood that I was misquoted and apologized profusely for my experience. They had Dr. Erby return my call to clear it up. It was the most unprofessional experience I've ever had with someone with THAT much education. She said that I was definitely lying about the quote I received and said that her employee would never incorrectly quote someone and that that number wouldn't even appear on her screen. When looking at the receipt, the exact charge for the euthanasia only was 29.98 (amongst 4 other ridiculous fees). I told her I heard what I heard and would be happy to come talk to them about it in person so we could get on the same page. She said she wouldn't let me do that because she needed to protect her employee who had worked there for a long time. (As if I was going to come in guns blazing??? No, I just wanted someone to take responsibility for the incorrect information I was given.) When I told her I had brought them a lot of business in the past but would take my business elsewhere from here on out since I cant trust their line of communication, she said "good, I hope you do." She did not understand my frustration after speaking with 4 people about the issue at all nor apologize once. She said mockingly to me "we can refund you 30$ since you said you didn't want to spend more than 100$..." as if I was wrong for stating my expectations on price before hand. They never refunded the money. The crazy part is, I had utilized her services for rabbits, dogs, and other chickens. I had put a ton of EASY money in her pocket. It seems like an incredibly greedy business owned by a larger corporation who isn't monitoring their doctors bedside manner. If you are looking for genuine, honest, empathetic, and intelligent vets with an ounce of considerateness, do not take your pets here. I feel completely betrayed and am so disappointed.
Love the compassionate care our pets get here.
There's good and bad with everything, and Wedington is a business after all, however after taking a lot of my animals to them, I'm looking for an alternative to Wedington. They have shockingly decided to start charging for follow-up visits that they order. oh that doesn't even happen with people doctors! It's a shame too because they have a couple of top-notch vets working there
Great staff and vets, very friendly and helpful. Helped me with not only my dogs but gave my children suckers and made them feel included with taking care of our dog.
Large, caring staff ensures that the animals get plenty of attention. I visited our cat several times while he was in the animal hospital, and the facilities were always clean and inviting, and all of the animals looked very well cared for. Excellent vets. Great hours.
My rescue dog had coupled seizures on a Sunday afternoon, and the Wedington Animal Hospital was open and able to help us right away. I was promptly informed of all the various ailments I wasn't aware of, along with how to treat them. Everyone was so caring for my dog and myself! They even checked out I had on my own body for me! Safe to say, this will be the place I go to for all my veterinary needs from now on.
This place is super convenient for me and I love their hours. They can always squeeze me in when one of my pets isn’t doing well. Price is normal for a larger clinic (which is to say, a little pricey) but I have always received good service. Also they have the best reptile vet I have found in the area, so can’t beat that. And I love that they sometimes work with rescue organizations to provide veterinary care and boarding for rescued animals.
Got out third round of puppy shots today and they could not have gone better. The veterinarians and vet techs were so good with our dog, they knew exactly how to keep her calm and they remembered our exact worries from our last check up. They answered every question we had. Overall, a great experience.
I had planned on putting our 16 year old little dog down on Thursday, things didnt work out that way. They were open on Sunday, made room for us in their schedule last minute. They were so kind and caring. I will never forget them and how they made a horrible experience a little better.❤
They were very caring and compassionate with my animals.
On Oct13 I had a cat neutered .I have no problems with the vet or the staff. All were great. By pickup time the weather was foggy and misting rain. The vet was not there when I arrived so I waited. In the mean time I payed my bill. When the vet arrived and we conducted business he gave the cat another shot. I took the cat straight to the truck . It look like it was fixing to pour down rain and I did not want to run with the cat carrier to the truck in the rain.As I was shutting the truck door there was the vet asking me if I was going to pay for the shot.I had all intentions to go back in and pay for the shot. I also said as I went by the desk, I'd be back. I was 30 minutes early and you were 20 minutes late . I was there almost a hour. I did not complain. But I AM feeling frustrated over your comment. FYI--- Mean kitty is doing fine PS--- Twice Wedington Animal Hospital has asked for a review. So here it is.
I had an emergency vet appointment. I was brought in immediately and able to see the doctor very quickly. This is a POSITIVE pet owner/pet veterinarian Hospital! Wouldn’t go anywhere else.
I feel good about taking my cat there and having 100% confidence that he will be taken care of properly
Our cat suffered an injury. It was after hours on a Friday & our regular vet was closed. We discovered Wedington Animal Hospital was open & took the cat there. They were prompt, courteous & helpful. For us, this was a good alternative to the very expensive emergency vet in Springdale (Animal Emergency Clinic of Northwest Arkansas) which is open all night.
I just moved here with my two dogs and I feel like I’m always a mess going in and trying to keep up with medications and vaccines but they’re so understanding and helpful! Highly recommend this office and their staff! (Dr. Rolland is our fav)
Very friendly and patient staff! Everything was quick and painless and they provided additional information beyond the vaccines requested. Working at a pet store, I always recommend this clinic to any new pet parents who ask about vet visits.
Always a good experience. Friendly, knowledgeable staff and doctors. Open late. Will always try to work you in if possible.
Always a good experience. They know what they’re doing. The prices are fair. The people are nice
Knowledgeable and friendly vets, but the prices are rather steep. Out of the three cats I've had get shots and sterilization surgery, the one that went to this clinic was by far and away the most expensive. $500+ on a single cat.
Even though we'd never been here before, I was able to bring my dog in when I couldn't contact my regular vet for an emergency situation. We will be coming here from now on.
They had us in and out in no time at all. They even offered pain meds for my cat which I didn't think of and my cat calmed right down and stopped crying. I didn't realize she was in pain. They were very professional even if they were a little on the expensive side but it was well worth it for my pets comfort. Thank you guys.
I have a ferret, and a lot of places don't handle "exotic" pets. I won't take her anywhere else. They know all the specifics for ferrets and are always so nice. I recently had to bring her in for an emergency, and they not only took amazing care of her, but they were patient with my questions and concerns. I can't recommend them enough.
On June 26th, my friends son brought in one of his 12 week old puppy's to have your clinic to see what's wrong with it! And ya'll treated him like he was nothing, you also made him feel like because he was an African American That your clinic did not want to help him! I say this cause then a young white woman pulls in they rush out to her car and do whatever they can to help her!! All because they thought they were going to get more money??
I have been meaning to do this for awhile now. I have never seen or been to a place that is more caring or efficient in the care of animals. Our dog Skye actually gets excited when she sees that we are pulling into the parking lot as she gets lots of attention and loving there. The whole staff is wonderful and happy to answer any questions you may have and encourage you to come visit with your pet while they are recuperating from surgery. I would have no hesitation in recommending Weddington Animal Hospital to anyone as they are (in my book anyway) the best in Arkansas if not the country.
Very good place. Doctors are very knowledgeable. Affordable prices.
So thankful for their services. I was out of town and my dog really needed to be seen. It was easy to make an appointment for that very evening. The service was awesome. Staff was very friendly.
We brought our bearded dragon to Dr Erby when he started keeping his eye closed for long periods of time. She prescribed ointment for him and he was better within 48 hours. Also have tortoises that she sees and we have always had great service here with our exotics
From grooming to boarding with many appts in between, we love the staff!
Wedington Animal Hospital are so knowledgeable and caring when you bring your fur babies to them. Whether it be immunizations or just a stomach problem, these vet techs and doctors take care of your animals as if they were their own. I would highly recommend them for all your pet's needs. From gigantic dogs, to small dainty tea cups, they have you covered.
I like Wedington Animal Hospital. They have some really good people working there. However, they can be slow getting to see you once you are in an exam room.
Very caring staff. We adopted a Pomeranian and wanted to get it checked out on a Sunday. Took him to WAH and they got us squared away. Thanks!
The doctors and staff are incredible and sweet.
Dr Herring has the kindest heart for helping animals. Thank you Dr Herring for helping my friend that is trying to save 10 puppies and a mama. I know she feels like they all have a chance after your treatment.
I have received good care and the location is great, but the wait time (in person or on the phone is often LONG). Also hard to get in for a grooming appointment, seems like you must call weeks in advance. If so busy why not expand or at least add more staff?
We use the vet and the boarding service, and we've been very happy with both! WAH treats our two pups like princes.

My first experience, with Wedington animal Hospital was amazing. They went above and beyond in service and professionalism to take care of my cat.
Loved the staff as well as the doctor who took great care of our 2 cats. They were vaccinated and micro chipped without feeling stress of any kind. One of my cats gets extremely stressed usually during vet visits and this was the first time I saw him as cool as a cucumber. Even my senior dog who gets stressed easily was comfortable and patient the way the staff handled her. I am so glad my colleague recommended Wedington to me :) I would recommend them anytime!!
It’s a mess every time we walk in this place. They charged an office visit to put my rat to sleep. Couldn’t understand how to not charge us for a burial bag we didn’t want. Failed to tell us Sunday appts were more than any other day of the week. Over the weekend we had my epileptic chihuahua hospitalized. They happily took my $500+ without me ever speaking to a vet during the second day of her stay. No one has called to check on her. I called today to let them know her symptoms have returned and have yet to receive a call back. They don’t care unless your wallet is open. And even then, just expect an incompetent vet tech. We will be switching to somewhere better.
Helpful an kind to my dogs. Made sure my sick pup who was hospitalized was comfy and taken care of.
Staff is kind ,courteous, knowledgeable. A bit pricey, but very convenient.
Great place! I was seen at appointment time and the staff is very friendly and accommodating! I am new to the area and am glad that I found a place that has so many caring employee's! Business hours are very accommodating for my schedule.
Everyone was very kind and efficient. This is my main veterinarian clinic and I have had all my dogs there at one time or another. They saved Whiskers for me 7 years ago. He is a parvovirus survivor thanks to Wedingto animal hospital. I would recommend them to all my friends
My dogs love going to the vet! With the friendly staff and wonderful care I truly enjoy taking my fur babies here. Would highly recommend for pet care and boarding.
The staff here is very nice to me and my Kimi, and I very much appreciate that they are open so late and are open everyday it truly is emergency ready. The only reason I give four stars is because i wish there was a way to be billed after we visit instead of having to pay the full amount right then and there. If my dog has an emergency, i do feel it is a little unfair that we must pay right away for something we weren't planning for. I am a full time student, only able to work a part time job, so it is hard for me to scrounge for money when my dog has an emergency, and it may just be a rule they have to follow and I understand... I just wish we could be billed instead so it wouldn't be so hard on my wallet when I least expect it! one time i couldn't pay for all of it, and i had to apply for a credit card that day so I could pay it all... that was hard and now i am charged money every month just to have a credit card I paid off I didn't even want. But I really do love everyone here and the processing of everything is great.
I have had my dogs for over a decade and Weddington Animal Hospital has always been the for my fur babies. I wouldn't trust anyone else with their care they treat them like I do like they are one of our family members.
One of the most expensive vets in the area. Dr. Rolland is the main reason we continue to go to WAH because she truly cares about or animals. Unfortunately I agree with others when they say, this place is run like a business with the number 1 goal to be making money. I’ve compared prices to other vets and some of the WAH prices are outrageously higher. I have been going to WAH for several years now and have brought them LOTS of business. But they don’t seem to value loyal clients like my previous vet. My biggest complaint, and the sole reason for my 3/5 star is not due to the vets, but the other staff. The front staff is often rude and dismissive. My medication for my animals is often not filled correctly. And a tech has given me very false information before causing a lot of stress. I will continue to stay loyal to WAH because I know Dr. Rolland’s heart is better than anyone else’s, I just wish the rest of the clinic would get it together and stop thinking the number 1 goal is making money.
For going on twenty years these folks have taken care of all my dogs and cats. Always courteous, skillful, compassionate. Since they were North College Animal Hospital they have been the best veterinarians I know.
The absolute best place to take your furry, or feathered/scaled/hairless, family member to be cared for. Every single Doctor treats your pet like their own with the best care and expertise. We are so so thankful to have them in NWA.
We are extremely pleased with the professionalism, knowledge and attitude of all the doctors and staff at the Weddington Animal Hospital! They were great to us and our pet, and they are now the clinic of choice for us!
Wedington Animal Hospital is a great veterinarian, boarding, and grooming facility. They're so helpful and knowledgeable. When I take my pets there, I know they'll be in the best possible hands.
We first went to Wedington Animal Hospital 11 years ago when our dog fell down the stairs. Although we had just moved to the area and were not current patients, they stayed open late to treat her. Emma is now quite old and starting to fail, but Dr. Lombeida has been very caring and professional in her care, helping us choose treatments to keep her comfortable as long as possible but also helping us avoid overtreating things that cannot be cured. I find the prices to be extremely reasonable. Sometimes, we have to wait a bit for our appointments, but I don't mind since I know that is because they are giving other people's pets the same thoughtful care they give us. I have, over the years, had Emma treated by other vets in the practice, and they are all quite good. I also appreciate their evening and weekend hours.
The staff and the doctors there are absolutely awesome and fantastic. They show a very high concern for your pet and everyone is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Couldn’t ask for a better staff and doctors than what is at Wedington Animal Hospital. You all are at the top of my list. Sincerely, Richard Ptak.
Taylor was very insensitive when asked for details about euthanizing my best friend. She said price varies depending on the options of aftercare of the body, the cheapest being owner-transport after death to be buried, with other options costing more. When asked what other options are because I wouldnt be able to emotionally take my best friend after the fact, she became very short with me and said there are no other options. I disconnected the call and found another organization with some respect.
Busy place but they took good care of our kitty. We have a senior cat with thyroid problems and as it turned out she has cancer. Dr. Bloomberg took good care of her and was able to remove the tumor completely. As we don’t want to proceed with an aggressive treatment he recommended another veterinarian who also specializes in more natural treatments.
Accommodated my need for a late appointment. Thorough exam, alleviated my concerns. Dr. Rolland is always amazing - she treats my cat and me as a cat mom, too. Had a long, long wait to be seen, but vets were taking walk-in emergencies all night - they rightfully give priority to thosey. Would recommend to any pet owner.
Dr. Rolland and her vet tech team are amazing. Not only are they knowledgable, but they can also explain your pet's condition in a way that is easy to understand and not intimidating. Whenever I have a question/concern about my dog, Marvella, I know that my concern will be respected and I will receive an educated/informative answer. I love that Dr. Rolland is so down to earth - it's like getting professional advice from your best friend. You can tell that she genuinely cares about her patients AND their owners. My family and I have been loyal to another vet office for 20+ years. After my experience with Dr. Rolland, she will be my dog's new primary vet!
My elderly dog had to have her leg amputated here. The surgery went well and, although she got infected once and had to have a drain put in, she recovered about as well as can be expected. The thing I like about this place is that they have such late hours and so many vets on staff that you can always get an appointment same day, usually within a few hours. Unfortunately, you do have to sacrifice some of the personal touch that smaller vet offices give because they are so busy. This is totally fine in most situations, but in this case I felt like we always had to be prepared to ask as many (sometimes stupid!) questions as we could. Otherwise, we would be sent home without really knowing how to care for our very sick pup. As long as you can remember to write down all your questions, you'll have a good experience. Thank you to all the staff at Wedington Animal Hospital for saving my dog's life!
The best animal hospital in N.W.A
I found our small rescue cat in the road ran over by a car. It was after 5pm and our regular vet in Bella Vista was unable to take the emergency call. Village Pet Hospital (VPH) is a wonderful place with an awesome staff but they were closed. I called one of their staffs cell number and she recommended WAH, so we called and they said bring her right in they will be expecting us. On the drive there they had called to ask how she was doing and also said that Springdale Animal Hospital was closer if needed. We personally try to avoid SAH as they misdiagnosed our pet not once, but twice and our bill was closer to $1500.00. So for these other posts complaining about price, just go ahead and take your pet to SAH and see where they compare. Once I had arrived at the hospital with our cat (who puked all over me and truck on way there), they met me at the front door and took the cat (Minnie) from me and immediately took her back to check her out. I gave the necessary information and then was allowed to fill out chart in private room while waiting on Vet. Within 15 minutes they brought Minnie back to me, Cleaned up as one of the Nurses washed the puke from her and dried her, wrapped her in a warmed towel and cuddled her. She told me Minnie was stable and that they were prepping for x-rays if I approved, blood work if I approved and even prescribing medicine if I approved. Nothing was forced. DVM, Amie Stuke was totally awesome in explaining what they saw, what they did not see and what they thought of her condition. she consulted with the other Vets as a group and explained everything very clearly. In the end the Bill for an emergency visit, 2 X-rays, Blood work and the prescribed medicines was about $340.00. I felt like that was a fair price for the care Minnie received. I absolutely love Village pet Hospital and I feel like WAH is right there with them in care of my pet. I would recommend them to anyone. If I ever need after hours care before 10pm I am driving there, it is worth every mile and every penny for the care we received. On a side note, Minnie is now back to her old self but just a little more loving. I think she found out were not so bad humans after all. :)
Amazing staff. Got us in at 9:30 pm on very short notice and they were so helpful. They took care of my dog like she was their own. Thank you guys so much!
Great to have a small animal vet for our rabbits. We take all of our animals there, and they always take great care of our dogs when we board them.
All great but reception staff is very rude
My personal belief is that this place is unethical! They are more focused on making the most money possible and not what is always in the best interest of the the pet!
I’ve taken my dogs here a couple of times. The service is mediocre. Sometimes the front desk staff isn’t overly stressed and can manage to have a good attitude. I’ve had to take my cat in three times now because treatment has been insufficient. I’m looking to changing vets after next appointment(rabies shots). Hoping West Oak will do a better job at treating my pets.
Weddington animal hospital is the best vet around! I always recommend them to friends/family.
Their abilities are questionable. The last time we brought our dog in, Dr. Herring, despite his "27 years of veterinary practice," wasn’t even able to identify her heart murmur that literally every other vet we’ve seen has noticed right away. He also couldn’t even tell us if our dog was at a healthy weight or not and said to google it. This place will charge extra on a Sunday under the pretext of doing you a favor by being the only vet open. It’s sad that they feel the need to take advantage of people in desperate situations by charging more because they know you have no other options. To me, it suggests they care more about money than helping animals. If you scroll through the rest of the negative reviews, you'll see a running theme of price gouging over compassion. They should be ashamed.
They were wonderful when it was time for our 16 year old dog to cross the rainbow bridge.
Unfortunately, we had to put down our dog. Dr. Stuke was very compassionate, knowledgeable and assisted us through a very difficult situation.
Although my first visit was a sad one (my beloved friend had cancer), I and, more importantly, my dog, were treated with kindness and empathy. When the time comes for me to bring another fur friend into my home, you can be sure we'll be using Wedington Animal Hospital.
Dr. Rolland is the best! With every experience I’ve had there, I have nothing but positive things to say.
Great team at WAH! I have used them for years.
Incredibly kind staff and doctors. They really care! My boxer-pit was treated for parvo at 4 months old. Blaze pulled through and recovered after a couple of days! The staff answered every phone call. Now at 4 years old, Blaze ruptured his doggy ACL and had to have surgery. Again, the staff was very kind and helpful throughout the entire process!
A walk-in w/out appointment.... cheerful & caring people at every turn.... Vet Great w/ injured cat.... in & out in less than an hour.... on a Sunday.... ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! What a place!!! Thanks & props to Dr. Herring & staff!
We have several dogs and they all love it here. We especially love the care and kindness the doctors and staff give us when we come in. The hours are so convenient too!!
Great clinic to take a pet to for vaccinations, health checkups and veterinarian care in general. The are really nice people to deal with and try to answer your concerns about your pets. The only reason I didn't give the clinic five stars is that I think that too many times medications are prescribed that aren't really necessary with something simpler would work just as well. That's my only complaint. Otherwise, great clinic and great staff.
I’ve been taking my precious dog, Murphy, here for almost 2 years & the entire staff has been incredibly knowledgeable, caring, & prompt for all his needs! I love the staff at the desk, Rebecca, our groomer, & Dr. Herring! My baby is in professional, loving hands at Wedington Animal Hospital!! Love you all!! Mmmwah!!
Took Amy in for fleas and skin condition and doc was the best I will not go to any other veterinarian these people really care about the fur babies.
Not very happy with this place. We adopted a pup from a local shelter. After having puppy at our home a few days, he stopped being his normal self. Stopped eating and drinking and was just laying around. He started having diarrhea and had vomited one time. Called wedington animal hospital and they were able to get him in that day. I brought all of our paperwork for the puppy to my appointment and allowed the staff to review it. They took stool sample and a swab. Took his temperature and that he DID NOT have a fever. They placed one of these samples into this small device that is suppose to tell you if the puppy is positive for parvo. I asked if he had blood in his stool and the tech said that he DID NOT have blood in his stool. The tech came back and looked at results and said he was positive for parvo but that doctor will come talk to us more. Doctor came by a few minutes later and spoke to us from the door saying that he has other puppies to see and that he did not want to get the other puppies sick. I asked if our puppy can be saved and he said yes. I asked the cost and he stated that it could be as much as $1200 and be in the hospital for about a week but that once the puppy starts eating and drinking he can come home and he has seen them come home the next day. I asked how much to put down to start treatment and was told " I dont know $300 or $400. I paid the $400 since tech said it was $400. We called the Humane Society and told them about the puppy and they told us that they have had a couple of puppies show signs of kennel cough but none of them had parvo. I called tr he hospital after I was told this that 5th e puppy might have kennel cough. We got a call 2 days later and was told our puppy was ready to be discharged. I asked our final balance and was told $275. We went and got puppy and it was $298. Which is ok because our puppy was fine. We followed discharged instructions but 3 days later he stopped eating and drinking again. We had called the shelter (Humane society) and told them that our puppy started feeling bad again. Humane society told us to come see their vet and they would pay for it. I took puppy to Humane Society vet and was told that the puppy would not have been recovered that quickly from parvo. The vet said that she doubt he had parvo but he had kennel cough. That the kennel cough would give him diarrhea and he would stop eating and thus lose weight. Vet stated that since he was not being treated for the right diagnosis that's why he got worse. Vet stated that since he had one of his parvo shots already that any test he is given would show positive for parvo and if he had parvo he would have really foul smelling stool and it would "shoot" out of him. Was given different prescriptions and was told to discontinue the medications from Wedington Animal Hospital. I asked about the bill and they apologized for the trouble that the other vet hospital gave me and said the the bill will b paid for by the Humane society. Not happy with the limited care our puppy received and how they misdiagnosed his condition and having misdiagnosed it gave him the wrong medication which made him get worse because the kennel cough was not being treated.
Dropped by to pick up some flea and tick meds for my dogs, stood around for 5-10 mins while staff wandered around aimlessly, avoiding any kind of eye contact, just to eventually find out they wouldn't sell me anything but a flea collar without a consultation appointment. Won't be back.
Staff is always friendly. Great hours for grooming pickup. Customer service is A+
I am a travel contract worker, here in Arkansas with my husband and our 12 1/2 year old Yellow Lab, Cosmo. Our furbaby has been having some increased issues with his arthritis and has a new area on his belly that we have been worried about. I was recommended by a co-worker/friend, Chantal, who also works at Wedington Animal hospital, to make an appointment with Dr. Herring. I was able to get an appointment really fast, and even on a Saturday!!! Which is great with our schedule! Everyone there was very nice and treated Cosmo like they've known him for years! Dr. Herring was wonderful and extremely knowledgeable, and gave us some really great advice and care for our boy!! I want to thank everyone for caring so much about all of our 4 legged family members the way you do!! You have a wonderful place there, and will definitely recommend you to others! We'll be back!!
Everyone here is wonderful! They are thorough and take the time to make my dog feel comfortable!
Wonderful caring staff! Have been coming here for years!

My dogs and cat have always received excellent care. Our pets have been patients since 2011 when we moved from Cali and will continue to be. When my grand puppy had to be put down due to an overabundance of cancer, everyone was sincerely sorry. The vet even made arrangements to come to him so my son could have a few more days with him. Our cat was groomed with them and he did very well. When our cat got bobcat fever and was dying, they took really good care of him. Wedington Animal Hospital has handled all our spay and neutering for us. I won't be taking my pets anywhere else.
Appreciate Dr. Wright and the time she takes with my sweet baby girl Mya and my not so sweet Eli
Dr. Rolland is one of the best vets I have ever taken a pet to. She is really friendly and answered all of my questions in a professional manner.
The service is absolutely amazing. I take all my pets here because they take such good care of them. Even when one of my pets passed away they were very sympathetic. I don’t trust any other vet.
Dr. Herring is ALWAYS amazing and soooo soooo helpful he always makes me at ease knowing someone good is caring for my fur babies
Great Staff, clean facility, loved the DR!
Friendly and knowledgeable staff! Made me and my dog feel very comfortable!
Great place to bring your pets. The staff puts so much time and effort into making sure animals have a good experience and won't be anxious to go to the vet again. It's always really clean and never has that kennel-y smell you often run into.
Awful experience. Completely terrible at any sort of follow up care. Our eight year old old mastiff had surgery there and had problems after the fact— torn incisions, changed behavior and ultimately a seizure. The front desk would never let me speak to a vet in regard to what we could do— this are the place that treated her, and yet they will not return my calls, let me speak to anyone or give me any interim instructions about how to provide her with care. Any any time we go in for an appointment, we’re hurried in an out. Use this place if your animal required surgery, but get care elsewhere. They are only looking to make a buck.
Dr. Blomberg is the best vet in town. Always willing to listen to you. Always there when we need him. ❤️
I am new to Northwest Arkansas and need a compassionate, well educated, fairly priced veterinarian. I took my puppy in for his first shots and saw Dr. Herring. He asked the same questions over and over as if he completely forgot my answer the first two times then tried to convince me I needed to buy a ton of unnecessary products. After repeatedly saying no, I don't think that's necessary, I was hit with a whopping bill of over $300. I was floored! I asked for a price break down and the price was discounted for being a "new customer". I have had animals for thirty-five years and much experience with many different veterinarians across the country as my job requires me to move often. Never in 35 years have I experienced such incompetence, price gouging, and unprofessional conduct. Never again! I cannot comment on the other veterinarians who work at Wedington because I haven't met them and never will but Dr. Herring is the worst I have ever experienced. Please, if you are searching for a veterinarian in Northwest Arkansas, stay away from this place.
I brought my rat in Ghillie for a wellness check and the staff were very polite and kept me updated on how much longer the wait might be if they had an emergency. Dr. Erby was very helpful and so were the entire staff. They deserve 5 stars
Over priced scame, will milk you dry
Today is my first time going to them. I called around initially because our normal vet was already closed. The lady that I spoke to on the phone was super friendly, very sweet, and I felt very honest. She told me that there would be a long wate as they are busy and did recommend that I take my Elvis to The Animal Hospital in Springdale. When I called them to get information I did not get the same friendly feeling I got when I called WAH so I chose to take my dog to Wedington Animal Hospital instead and I would just deal with the wait . However when I got there and they saw that Elvis was struggling to breathe they immediately took him back and got him looked at, got him started on oxygen and put us in the next available examination room despite being as busy as they were . Everyone and I mean everyone there was amazing. They truly care about the animals that come in that place and the people that they belong to. You can tell they genuinely love what they do. I have had my piggy (he's a pug) for over 11 yearse. He is my fur baby and he's been through so much with me. I'm so thankful I chose to come to this hospital for his care tonight. Thank you also for letting me call and check on him a lot and not get upset with me
The veterinarians here deeply care about your animals. Brought in my sick quaker parrot within the last hour before close, and they were really friendly, understanding, and very informative, and listened to all my concerns. I will continue to bring my quaker here!!!
Always prompt,, helpful ,professional, service. I would not thesitate to recommend WAH to frends.
I appreciate the kind staff and doctors at Wedington Animal Clinic. My animals are all healthy and I feel like it's due to their Council and their care. I would recommend Wedington Animal Clinic.
I am Always so impressed with Wedington Animal Hospital. Dr. Herring was able to squeeze a much needed surgery in the SAME DAY for my yorkie. He was very comforting with my concerns for her age and surgery. The vet tech (forget her name) is equally as caring and reassuring. I received A phone call immediately following surgery with an update. I highly Recommend WAH to everyone.
The amount of attention&time my ferret and I got was wonderful! The Dr was well-informed about the care of my animal. We will be back!
I contemplated whether to post a review or not but decided that I should tell the whole story. I apologize for the lengthy review but I couldn't just say why I won't be returning. It's not because my dog wasn't well taken care of, it was how I was treated. I've been using WAH for 8 years now and have always been happy but after my visit yesterday, I have chosen to find another vet service. I called to schedule his yearly dental and asked for an estimate. I was told that they were not allowed to give estimates over the phone but I could bring him in for a FREE dental consultation. I scheduled it for yesterday. We were taken to a room fairly quickly and there was very little wait time. She (the veterinarian) looked at his teeth and told me she would give me an estimate. She then started checking him over and looked at his paws so I told her that I had discussed his allergies not too long ago at his yearly visit and was given a prescription for allergy medicine. She said there were alterative over-the-counter medicines because the prescription was too expensive for me and asked me if I wanted the info. I said yes and soon she was back with my dental estimate and the allergy meds info. When I checked out, it was not free as I had been told when I scheduled the visit but because she looked him over she charged me for an office visit. I didn't ask her to give him a checkup so I questioned the person at the front desk and was told that that's the procedure when bringing in for a consult. I argued about what I was told on the phone and there was no budging by the front desk person. I said okay that I would cancel the dental and find another vet service. THEN, they decided to go back and ask the vet about it, then I was told that since I had been told that it would be free, they would honor this time. By then I was so irritated that I have spent over $2000 with them and was planning to spend another $400 for a dental in a week that they would charge me for the 3 minute visit. We have always received great service there and I realize it was only $30 but customer loyalty should be rewarded. I felt like I was a number to the front desk person and not a valued customer. I realize they're very busy all of the time but I think there's more focus on the business making money and not on retaining customers. In summary, if you want veterinarians who will take good care of the animals, this is the place, but make sure to know what the charges will be up front and don't expect friendly service from everyone.
Fantastic people. Saw us on a moments notice while we were in from out of town and helped our puppy out immediately. Thanks to such a warm and competent staff!
They have treated my three cats very well. Whether it is by appointment or dropping in with an emergency they are quick to get me taken care of.
We love Dr. Blomberg and staff. We currently have 5 dogs ranging in age from 1 to 11 years old, and Wedington takes care of all of our needs. We have had services ranging from spay/neuter to teeth cleaning to complete geriatric work ups. I lost my 14 year old dog last year, and Dr. B and staff were so incredibly kind and wonderful. My former vet had misdiagnosed a shoulder injury that ended up being a serious spinal problem. The only way I ended up finding out was from the high tech X-ray machines at Wedington. They helped me keep him comfortable and pain-free until it was time to put him to sleep. They were so supportive and helpful through the entire process. I feel their prices reflect the value and level of care your pet receives. I have gotten to see detailed, full-body X-rays of all of my older dogs, and everyone at Wedington seems to have the pet and owner’s best interests at heart. I highly recommend this office!
Wedington Animal Hospital got us in the same day we called when we needed to get our cats vaccinations updated. They were quick, knowledgable, and accommodating!
Our dog can be very anxious especially at the Vet when he hears the other animals, but Dr. Rolland and the technicians are always so patient with him. They work to make it a pleasant experience, give him cuddles, belly rubs, and treats and you can tell that they LOVE animals. The scheduling is always easy and the evening appointments are so convenient for working fur parents!
Absolutely a disgrace to animal hospitals. My husband went in with our 4 month old who had a severe condition and the staff looked him in the face and told him to take him home and bury him. Extremely unprofessional!
Very attentive to our new puppy. Went above and beyond to help us figure out what was wrong.
I had a dog with an emergency C-section yesterday. the only thing you guys could think about was your precious money. Don't worry about saving a dog just get your money. Due to knots suturing her correctly she started bleeding tremendously last night. I ended up having to take her to the emergency clinic in Springdale where over $1,400 later they saved Zippy's a life. obviously when people don't have the money you do a less than satisfactory job. very disappointed in this Clinic and would never recommend anyone to ever go there. Honestly you owe me $1403.51 for Springdale fixing what you screwed up. Not only that you should refund me the money I had to pay yesterday at your clinic also. you need to make this right. not everyone has money when there is an emergency.
I had a good experience there. Just had to wait past my appointment a little. I guess they're pretty busy. And the doctor told me everything that I needed to know and answered all my questions
My pup LOVES it here! She is never afraid! The staff is so nice and friendly. This last visit I had many different questions about things my pup was experiencing and the vet was kind, patient, and gave great wisdom and advice! She never tried to rush me out. Very thankful to have this place nearby.
Thankful for Dr. Erby and her knowledge and experience with exotic pets.
I brought a cat in for a skin issue. All went well and they told me she needed vaccines but to wait until her skin was healed. I waited and got an email 2 weeks later that if I didnt get her vaccinated, they were going to report me. So I called and set an appt. Went in on appt day and no one knew who I was. Got in a room waiti g for the vet and a vet's assistant came in asking all kinds of questions. I told her were were there just weeks ago and went over all this already, ee were just there for vaccines. She looked very confused and went to get the vet. The vet was also slightly confused but managed to get my cat vaccinated. They gave me free treats for the cat and I went home. The treats were opened and had gone bad. They seemed to give a lot more attention to the dogs. So recommend if you have a dog, do not reccomend for cats.
I have a dog that is older than dirt and there is no where else in the world I would take her!
The people there are so nice! They saved our dogs life after he was neutered by a different vet. clinic. That vet didn't want to help us after we took him back to him when he was bleeding non stop. We are very glad we found this hospital.
I appreciate the long hours the doctors and others work for the convenience of pet owners who have pets who need help. They are a great place to bring your doggies or kitties!
These people are good at their work. They have always taken care of my two dogs whether it's been an appointment or an emergency. I am thankful for them and all that they do!
They are not my current vet due to where I live now; however, they have helped me twice now when my vet is closed with both meds and dog food. I also board my dogs there when I go out of town. They have always been so helpful and kind. I wish I lived closer to them again!
These folks were amazing at a time when we were panicking about our pup. A friend recommended them, and so we tried them in a moment of desperation- and I’m so glad we did. Prices are fair, staff was wonderful, and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone else.
Overall, the staff (front desk, assistants, and the doctors) are very friendly and helpful. There is one woman at the front desk (blond hair) who goes above and beyond to help. She has positive energy and I've seen her handle very stressful situations with grace. The other women at the front desk seem to go to her when they need help and she seems to usually have the answer. She is great! There have been some mistakes made by the front desk staff. My name is still misspelled in their system. Once, they pulled up the wrong file so the medication given to me had the wrong name and label on the bottle. I've been to the clinic three times and each time I am made to wait in the exam room at least 20 minutes (after waiting in the common waiting area for about 10-15 minutes). Then, a doctor finally comes in and spends maybe five minutes in the room. I understand that the doctors are busy and I suspect they may be understaffed. However, do not charge me for an examination when you did not actually examine my dog. I have paid for two examinations when the doctor simply rubbed my dog or looked at my dog's belly and ears. To be clear, I understand that the doctors are providing a service and a service costs money. Nothing is free. In fact, my best friend is a veterinarian (in Texas) and we often talk about how people want free pet services from doctors who have spent years and a a lot of money to become doctors. I understand, doctors have to be paid. However, if you want to charge me $30+/exam (plus the cost of medication) then do the examination and maybe spend more than five minutes in the examination room with me. It took two visits to find out that maybe my dog is having an allergic reaction to his food. If the doctor had actually spent time with us during the second visit he would have been able to tell me this before we had to come back for a third visit. I am not trying to beat up on the doctors. I do like this clinic and I will go back. However, based on my experience, and after reading other reviews, it may be helpful to explain the fees before services are rendered. For example, please explain why I am made to pay for a full examination during a check-up visit (and the doctor barely touched my dog). It seems that other people are also confused by the pricing so maybe the pricing should be explained as best as possible as early as possible. Sometimes things happen and the price changes, but it would likely help to get some type of warning about pricing before a client steps into the examination room. Additionally, if you want to charge so much then hire another doctor so that you are not understaffed and hopefully the doctors are being treated well. Lastly, but very importantly, there needs to be more diversity among the staff. Sure, you seem to have women on staff but diversity includes more than gender.
Scheduling and waiting for appointments takes little to no time. Staff is knowledgeable about CAPC ranks and has different products to assist in control and prevention in pets. The staff knows how to handle animals during examination, which is always comforting. Boarding is also very easy, especially for frequent boarders with an award's program, and the pets are very well taken care of during their stay. As someone who has used Wedington Animal Hospital for 6 yrs, I recommend them often.
The service is absolutely amazing. I take all my pets here because they take such good care of them. Even when one of my pets passed away they were very sympathetic. I don’t trust any other vet.
