We were camping and my daughters dog got sick so we brought her to this doctor twice and paid in full both times. She passes away when we get her home.. This happened in October 2017 and today she gets a call from collections for $80.00 because he forgot to charge her on the bill for a $40.00 shot..He said he was calling collections to change the amount. He also hung up on her when she started talking to him. So, if you want your dog to have a fighting chance to live go somewheres else..

My 15 yr son just received his 2 cats last week. One cat became very ill. Unfortunately she died before we got to the vet. He didnt even touch or listen for any heart beats or did any check for signs of life. He literally went and got a wal mart plastic sack and put her in it. My son lost it. As my son was crying outside the vet had the nerve to ask me if he was "mental". This so called vet was in no way sympathetic to the kitten or the owners. But darn well made sure he received his $$. Was even upset with me because i forgot my drivers license. (It was 4 in the morning). I wish i could give - stars. Hopefully this review will help someone in the futurr

I can't say enough about Dr. Bob. He treated my chiweenie dog, Paco, for heart failure before his recent passing. Dr. Bob was kind, patient, and straight forward with me about Paco's condition. I could get appointments quickly and at the last minute. I live quite a distance away, but gladly made the trip so I could get the excellent treatment offered. Thanks for being a great vet, Dr. Bob!

I called Dr. Bob around 7pm on Tuesday night. I came home and discovered my cat very sick. I immediately looked for care in the Hot Springs area for someone to look at my poor baby. Alex, the cat, was having labored breathing, difficulty moving, and had an almost catatonic way about him. Dr. Bob answered the phone, "Dr. Bob", in a tone and dialect that was very difficult to understand, so I asked is this "Village Animal Group?" To which the grumpy Dr. Bob responded, "Yes, I said this was Dr. Bob." As if he has an infamy like Capone, for all he knows I have named an unsightly mole on my body dubbed, "Dr. Bob." After I confirmed I had the correct number, I had to tell him what the problem was. He didn't ask any questions of concern, btw. As I began to explain the condition about my poor cat, he interrupt me midway and says, "Hold on." I was on hold for at least 2 minutes, and anyone who has a furbaby in distress knows this is a taxing time. He gets back on the phone and says, "Okay, what's going on again?" I begin to tell him that I live in Hot Springs, and that I have a very sick cat that needs care. I need help right away. Can you help?" Dr. Bob responded with an angry rant about the vets in Hot Springs and called them arrogant for not having later hours. I was almost in tears at having to be at the mercy of this man, but I asked, "Are you open, can you see my cat?" He said, "Hmmm, well, at this hour, I would have to charge you at least a 300 fee." "300 dollars?" I said without hope, feeling my heart sink into my stomach as I know I don't have that extra. "Yes, if you decide to come, I'll be here till 8." He responded very rudely and snidely. I told him unfortunately I do not have the extra, and he said, "I take credit cards." As I know I do not have credit cards lying around (personal choice), I said, "Thank you, " and hung up. I did not go to Dr. Bob, but instead called an emergency care hospital in Little Rock. They are open 24/7. They were very calm when talking to me. They explained their payment which can be anywhere from 75ish-400 dollars depending on the urgency. I immediately loaded Alex and began to Little Rock, but Alex didn't make it to Little Rock. He died on the journey there. My point to this story is this: Dr. Bob is uncaring, rude, and snide towards others WHILE talking to a human in distress about their animal. I do not understand why anyone would want to give him money for anything. I, and many, don't care about your degree or that your "DR. Bob." emphasis on doctor, if you lack empathy, compassion, and kindness in this already cruel world. RIP Alex.

I called them today because they were the only vet open on Sunday. My dog was acting lethargic and I wanted to know if I should bring her to be seen or wait till Monday. The vet told me bringing her to him would start at $300, then asked rudely "so are you coming or not!?" I said I didn't have $300 and he hung up on me. He didn't care about me or my dog, just money and was very cruel. My dog passed away today at only 5 months old. I'm heartbroken. Wish this vet were decent and could have saved her.

Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Bob was not a positive one at all. I experienced him as initially jumping to conclusions regarding my cat's condition based strictly "on sight" rather than a discussion of the "possibilities" of presenting symptoms. Right away, he used a chiropractic technique and a neck twist and assumed that my cat was feeling better already. I began to doubt his diagnosis and treatment when I came to pick up my cat the following evening - he discussed the dental cleaning he had done. He had given her an unauthorized rabies shot (that she did not need - she was current to July of 2016) and that I had asked that he not administer. That evening after I paid his bill (that was about $150 more than estimated the day before) I picked up my cat (who was in the carrier - I did not actually see my cat) nor experience her increased activity level that Dr. Bob said he had noticed. My cat remained very listless for the rest of that night and by the next morning was extremely lethargic and listens, had difficulty breathing and had no bowel movements nor urinating (tho Dr, Bob had said his two enemas and additional solutions added under her coat would help her.) I took my cat to my regular vet - I chose to have her put down as she was "gasping" for breath, whining and wailing and I felt it was in her best interests to move one. She was an older cat (15 yrs.) but I do think her last few days were more uncomfortable, perhaps even painful, because I chose to take her to Dr. Bob. There were a few emails exchanged where I asked for monetary compensation for the rabies shot of which I did not approve and what I saw as an excessive emergency fee. I was disappointed in the remarks in his correspondence, which included attaching characteristics such as "cynical, nitwit, bearded guy" in what should have been professional correspondence. I was also rather shocked when the last missive I received (and did not respond to) indicated that he would "see me in court." I don't think so, Dr. Bob!

I took three dogs to Dr. Bob because he said he RE HOMED many pets. I got the feeling something was not right just before I left and it has stayed with me up to this very moment so I called Dr Bob a moment ago and he was rude and angry and cold when I asked if he had any of my dogs still there. He told me I signed them over to him and asked what about the $100.00 fee you still owe me and I will talk to you after you pay the fee telling me when I was there it was not a big deal and anytime in the next ten years would be fine. I am sick that I took them to him,. I do not believe he was re-homing them and before I got out of his building he hollered at a man and said "transfer needs to get ready".and to where were they going? I will never do this again. I am having surgery in a week and that is the only reason I took my animals to be re-homed. I feel like they are not in a home at all but maybe a lab. Sad and sick. I pray that I am wrong.

IF you love your pets, drive two more blocks to spaw city. Professional and its clean. Dr bob should be in jail.

I wouldn't take my worst enemy's dog to this quack. He does uneccesary test, administers vaccines without request to, is rude, and for the man who asked yes he has been reported and before the state board. It baffles me that he's still in business.

Horrible human being! Too ruff with animals during surgeries!! Lies to everyone! He own pets his birds are covered in bugs! If you love your animal don’t go there!

Told me he could tell I loved my cat because I was willing to spend $600 on his treatment... Seriously?.. People who can't afford to spend $600 on their pet don't really love their pet? That's some seriously flawed logic! I love my cat no matter how much money I happen to have in the bank buddy. That's how I decided he's in the vet business for the wrong reasons. I want a vet who loves animals. Not one who only sees them as little furry money bags on 4 legs. I found it abhorrent. I've never gone back and I never will.

I just recently boarded my little buddy (Yorkie), Ella Grace, with Dr. Zepecki and his staff for eleven days while on a trip. Ella had a great time, and the staff went above and beyond the call of duty to send me videos of Ella. When I picked Ella Grace up, it was obvious how attached she had become to all the ladies in such a short time. Ella seems almost a little bored at home now. She is probably missing all the staff and fur friends she made while she stayed with them. It was like a vacation for her, too! I will definitely use them again when I need a place for Ella to stay!

First off, a warning. Dr Zepecki can rub you the wrong way. He certainly did on my first visit! He can come off as very judgmental and a little bit flaky, but he does know his stuff and is very dedicated to helping animals. He was willing to see my very ill cat after hours and said he is always available for emergencies. He did a full workup on 15 year old Tiki (which hadn't been done in years) to diagnose any problems. Actually he knew what was wrong the moment he had her in his hands! And we were happy to know she had a clean bill of health otherwise. My daughter is a veterinarian (in another city) and she was amazed at the reasonable charges for all the tests. It was quite expensive even so, but we got excellent value for our $$.

Scott Rosenquist

Nice vet he does birds also

Dr. Bob is always willing to care for the animals. He tries to sit and visit when I go with my dog. He has so many great stories. Our family has used him for two generations now.

Dr bob and I use this term loosly, is a money hungry scumbag. I call this person to ask him about my sick little dog. Before I could finish asking him about it he ask me " do you want to talk on the phone or do you want to save your dog. I told him that I didn't have the $300 just to walk thru the door. He then called me a "low life deadbeat." He told me to ask my friends and family to give him the money. I then ask him if he was in this for helping animals or to help him load his back account. He stared calling me a few choice names and told me he hopes my dog dies and not to call him back again or he would turn me in. Turn me in for what Dr bob?????? He has not heard the last of me. We will see who turns who in Dr bob!

Farris Hensley

Absolutely great doctor and entire staff, at very reasonable prices. Treated me and my two dogs great. I will certainly return, and highly recommend!

Called for assistance and before I could even get out the problem I was told my dog would die anyway don't even bother. My dog has a bad gash and needs stitches. It's after hours I understand, but I felt blown off and am very upset with the way "Dr. Bob" responded. Wouldn't even look at my dog. For that, I don't believe he even deserves 1 star but I have to give that to post this. Dog is doing ok after seeing another vet who stitched her up.

Paris Riddle

My sister in laws dog got attacked by another animal on a Thursday night. We called him to ask off he took payments and he told us to get the money from anyone we can. On friday we took her to him and he said she had an infection and it would cost no more than $400. He kept her over night and sent her home on Saturday . Within an hour she died. He gave her no antibiotics only cleaned her wounds. Then charged told us it was $429 but took $729 dollars off my friends credit card. He did nothing to help her just to sent her home to die. Don't use this guy he's a fraud.

Took my dog in because she was lethargic & not herself. Dr. Bob took an x-ray & it detected nothing. However, he tried to convience me that she might have swallowed some fuzz from her stuffed animal, as he pointed to the non-existant imagery. He might have took a blood sample & gave an anti-nausea medicine. I was shocked when I preceeded to checkout & my bill was nearly $400! Not only does he price gouge, he's a salesman & trys to squeeze another dollar out of you by manipulating you into believing your dog needs this, that, & the other. That was my first & last visit with him. The next day my dog was just fine, as I believe now that she only had the flu.

He was great with my dog when I took him in to get fixed. He made sure I knew about the voucher. He made a few suggestions for fleas and ticks, but didn't push anything. There was a few mix ups when I went to pay, but they fixed it right away. I would recommend this place to anyone.

indeed, mr bob is rude. not very passionate. or maybe he is just not in a gentle way

I decided i'd try a new vet out, went to Bob and really like him. A few weeks after treating my dog the way he told me to treat her, she was only getting worse. I called him to ask a few questions about what to do. I had not even a chance to explain what was going on before he replied, "if you want your dog to be fixed your going to have to come in and spend $150!" I wasn't sure how to respond as I hadn't even explained what was going on. I was CALLING TO SPEND MORE MONEY TO FIX MY DOG. I responded, "I guess I'm a little caught off guard." Dr Bob then replies, "if you are going to have a dog you have to spend money on it or you need to get rid of it! This is your last free advice you're going to get." Ummmm I just spent $160 on her a few weeks ago, at your office!!!!!! I then replied, "Dr. Bob, I don't appreciate the way you're talking to me." He then proceeded to hang up on me! I am LITERALLY in shock and have NEVER BEEN treated like this!!! WILL NEVER EVER USE HIM AGAIN. EVER. Not to mention, he was GUESSING what was wrong with my dogs skin, he sounded unsure and never took a skin scrape. Now off to another vet to get my dog fixed. I did call back to try to figure out what was going on, he told his vet tech he wouldn't speak with me, to get a new vet. **UPDATE: Dr Kelly, kellys vet in hot springs, looked at my pup. She does not have staff infection but mange. $50 later, problem solved! I highly recommend kellys vet.

BEWARE THIS GUY. My dog got a brolen pelvis on a sunday so we took her here. All was well and he did a surgery that monday. A month later my dog was hurting horribly. We were taking her to a check up at a closer vet. She took xrays for me. And i was shocked. Intead of a small "pin" that was supposed to be put in it was a drill bit. It was in the wrong spot and so close to her spine there was a chance for paralysis. The local vet couldnt remove the pin so we took her to and orthopedic specialist who then removed the "pin" and gave us the drill bit. He even gave us an example of what was in her. That item he gave us looked like a needle of sorts. This IS A DRILL BIT. WHY???? Needless to say he messed her up very very much and we are pursuing our money back. This guy has many suits against him and the other vet told me his license has been revoked 6 times. My dog is now well on the mend and in less less pain. He charged us 1300 and did nothing. We spent almost another 1200 to fix his mistake. Save yourself the trouble of this guy.

Chris McClure

Extremely helpful and nice. Did everything they could to help my puppy on a Sunday for a very reasonable price when everyone else was trying to charge 600 plus to just get looked at after being ran over. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

*** ALERT STAY AWAY IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET *** I went to Dr. Bob in October because my dog was lethargic and not herself. He seemed knowledgeable and told me she just had a strain in her neck. Gave her some injections, did some neck adjustments, and gave pain medicine. 1 day later my dog is throwing up, has obvious balancing problems, and is still lethargic. I take her back to Dr. Bob. He does blood work and X-rays, and the neck adjustment. He said she was fine she was just home sick and pointed to 3 little things in the xray saying she may have swallowed something but it's not serious. He gave her nausea medicine and a B-12 shot which gave her a small boost of energy I was unaware of. Normally I wouldn't be upset about a B-12 shot but it was giving her false energy which made me think she was getting better. WRONG. I paid my bill which was over $600 for both days in full when I was in his office since I live out of state. I make it home and my dog starts having seizures and dies at the vet at home. The vet at home tells me there is spinal fluid along her spine and that he could barely make out the X-ray Dr. Bob took. I get a card from the office saying they are sorry about Kora. 6 months later I receive a bill from collections saying I owe $84 and some change from their office. I call Village Animal Group and ask about the charge. He says " I added it after you left. I didn't send you a bill for it. It was an injection I forgot about." How am I supposed to pay a bill I never received? How sketchy is it that he never thought to tell me about the $84 and then just sends it over to collections? Also while I was on the phone he said It should be $42 not $84. So how am I supposed to know that he even did the injection and isn't lying about that? When I express my concern he says I did the injection and hangs up on me! Not only am I still completely upset about losing my dog in such a terrible way. I have an unknown bill with no itemize copy of what "injections" he added AFTER I left his office that he just sent over to collections 6 months later. If you like to be treated this way... then by all means DR. BOB is your guy! But if you want a respectable vet who will be honest with you then I suggest you find ANY ONE ELSE even if you have to drive to the next state over!

Dr.bob has killed more animals than i can even keep count of! Heartless, cold, cruel man! I wouldnt take a hampster to him!

This is in regards to the comment by Anna Coy. This invective from a very troubled young woman that I have been helping since she was a little girl comes as a shock to me both personally and professionally. So I thought I would respond to these baseless allegations.I first met her family 21 years ago in Hot Springs Village. Her adopted father had brain stem cancer that was inoperable. I saw them occasionally until shortly before his demise. He brought his seizure dog to me for adoption. I placed her with a small boy in Ohio which she helped for many years. He also asked me to look after the girls and their mother. I said I would. Over the years She would call me for help as her mother began to abuse her immediately after his death. When I first found her in New York I was pleasantly surprised at her deportment and intellect. She had presented me with drawings when she was small which I treasured. She recently sent me a remarkable painting wherein I realized her talent as an artist was enormous! When I found out that nobody in her family would come to support her in the Miss New York contest I agreed to go at considerable expense. She was at a dead end in New York. So I agreed to relocate her to Arkansas . I paid for everything. I also provided her with the use of my car until I was able to retrieve a car from my niece who refused to return the car. She and I went to the sheriffs office where we were told there was basically nothing I could do. So I explained to her that I would need the car as I was being forced to impose on my other employees for rides. This anger and vindictiveness was a shock. I fired her and withdrew any support for her future. Up to this point I had her on track to move into a townhouse that I had bought in exchange for sweat equity on her point. She did not fulfill her obligations . I had previously offered her an LLC which she refused to sign. I purchased scrubs for her and loaned her 1000 for vet tech online schooling. She has not responded as to how she was going to pay this. I securely explained that a platonic relationship is all that was possible. Now to the accusations about my abilities as a veterinarian. She assisted in two procedures. The first was a complicated Cesarean section on a dog that had a dead puppy in it. The surgery was a success . The dog actually lived through all of that! The second procedure was a simple suture. I permitted her to place two sutures . Her summation of my ability as a vet is based upon these two incidents. I have been painfully aware of some family situations in the final months of her adopted fathers condition. I personally have been financing her counselling hoping she would come to grips with her childhood experiences. Evidently more counselling is needed. Possibly her adoptive grandmother would pay for these sessions. All told I have spent 9000 dollars to help her achieve her dreams and goals.

Called asking about a 8 month old puppy throwing up white foam and asked if it was anything to be concerned with. He asked if the pup had had its parvo shot and I told him I didnt know. He said good luck hes going to die and said if I wanted him to look at him it would cost $450 and then asked if I had that much I said no he then went to say well find a way to get it and then he would think about seeing the pup! This guy is a f@$!ing quack. Said good luck with it dieing then hung up!

Rosemary Davis

Was very concerned an explained things te about my pet very reasonable prices
