I have an ancient Newfoundland who doesn't travel well. He had a wound on his back. Dr. Ball came to my home and took care of the wound and gave us antibiotics. She did a great job and it was less stress for my dog (and me) than traveling to a vet office. Her prices are super reasonable. She listens when you talk and you can tell she cares greatly about animals. Highly recommend!

When our dearly loved Maddy, an English Shepherd, became extremely ill we called Dr. Ball. Maddy was at least 13, and over the last week had lost the ability to walk or stand on her own. She had stopped eating, and we knew it was time. Dr. Ball and JoEllen came to our home. They were very caring, and explained everything clearly to us. Maddy was able to die peacefully and pain free, surrounded by family, including our other two dogs, who now understand why she is no longer here. They gave us time afterwards and have arranged for her cremation. This is the third dog we've had to make this decision for, and it was the first time we've had the doctor in our home. It was so much easier this way. No stressful trip to the vet's office, no strangers in the waiting room awkwardly looking away from our grief. No long, miserable drive home. Just us, our family and our dogs, and me petting and talking to Maddy the whole time. I am very glad Dr. Ball offers this service, and that she and JoEllen could help us give Maddy a loving passing in our home on the land she loved. I can wholeheartedly recommend No Place Like Home if you should need to euthanize a beloved pet. Having them come to us made this very difficult day much less stressful for us and our dog.

All I needed was a rabies shot for my 3 dogs. They were the only vet who didn't require an examination. They were fast and friendly. Two of my dogs are a 100 lbs and the other one is 80. It is super easy to get to the office off 6-30 and they do have a parking lot, so you don't have to worry about trying to find a spot. Very nice people. Very clean office. Will be back!

A.MA.ZING!! I wish I could give this clinic, its staff, and Marlow’s depth and breadth of knowledge more stars! She could teach human doctors proper bedside manner and her genuine concern for Roxie is obvious. Brought my puppy in for her first vet visit and loved every part of this clinic! The receptionist, vet tech, and Dr. Ball were all so sweet to my little pup. Dr. Ball was very helpful. She answered all my questions by giving me both the straight facts but also some perspective of what she personally chooses to do with her dog. Dr. Ball and her entire staff are amazing - so competent, compassionate, friendly, and professional. I've had several house call visits for both of my dogs. The house call option is surprisingly affordable and a wonderful option to have, especially with multiple pets or animals that are either too old/uncomfortable or too anxious to visit a vet office. When my senior dog had a tumor on his abdomen, Dr. Ball was fantastic about explaining all our treatment options and the pros, cons and limitations of each. She was very respectful and supportive of my choices for his treatment and answered my many questions with patience and professionalism. When handling my dogs, Dr. Ball and her staff are gentle and kind while also being confident and capable. Every time I've called or stopped by the office for meds, to schedule appointments, ask questions, give updates, etc. everyone there is wonderfully friendly, efficient and competent. I highly recommend SoMa Animal Clinic.
