REVIEWS OF New Hope Animal Hospital IN Arkansas

I will never return to this vet, Besides being one of the highest priced vet they want to over charge you for meds they give you. Dr Sarah Hantz had me give my dog worm meds to rid of worms he did not have, and charged me $38.00 for them. You would think a good vet would check the animal out before handing out meds that are not necessary. From now on ill find NEW HOPE at another vet who cares about the Paying Customer as much as they care about your Animal.

April Miles

I love this clinic! They really do care about our fur-babies.

Andrea Ritchie

I recently started using New Hope for my dog and two cats. I have been more than satisfied with the care from Dr. Doege. She goes above and beyond to make sure my pets are healthy. She even squeezed my dog in on a very busy Friday afternoon with very little notice. I am happy I found my pets a veterinarian that we will use throughout the rest of their lives.

I was going to let it go. Despite being told that a vaccination booster was included in the cost of the original shot, then being charged for it, and other previous concerns, I was not going to tell anyone that I was unhappy with your practice. When I paid the final bill I told your Practice Manager and Dr. Evans that I would not bring my dogs back for care. Then you had the gall to send me a letter indicating “we are informing you that New Hope Animal Hospital will no longer provide you with any veterinary services”. Let me refresh your memory. It is I who fired you.

Main vet is a little full of himself. I own a biz and wouldn’t stick a client. I don’t think it’s as much about pets with him as much as profit margin.

James Eldridge

Professional team and excellent at critical care. Saved my pup’s life. They aren’t the least expensive but those places make me uncomfortable.

Terrible customer service. Overpriced as well and they will tack on extra things without telling you. I cannot get over how rude they were and if you compare their prices with anyone else in the area for the same services, they are extremely overpriced. Some services are almost double. They try and guilt you into buying extra things that your dog doesn't need and made us pay for a parasite screening every time we've been in. Our dog is only now a year old and is current on heartworm medications. Other vet clinics recommend only doing this yearly. They were taking advantage of us. I would highly advise anyone reading this to take your pets elsewhere.

I have 3 dogs and have been taking them to this clinic for all of their care for almost a year now. I've also boarded my dogs there more than once. Up until today I would have recommended this clinic to anyone. Today I took my newest dog in and explained my budget was tight this week and could only afford $100 worth of shots and I would come in later to do the rest. They gave me this HUGE list of things that they recommend which was over $300. I then re-stated that my budget was going to be $100, I only wanted to get done what needed to be done so I could board my dogs this week (over $200 I'd be spending in 3 more days in addition to todays shots). They got it down to $91. Then they said he needed one vaccination that was expired which would be $20 and would bring the total to $111. I really need to board my dogs this week so I said fine. The doctor came in and did the exam and mentioned a few more things I might want to consider and I re-stated that my maximum I could afford today was $111. The doctor stepped out and came back and said we were "really close" to your budget so they would stop there. I go out front to pay and it's now magically $116 and change... The two ladies at the checkout went back to talk to the exam room girl "Mallory" or "Valery" (don't remember her name now) , even stating that they knew they were "trying to keep you under $100". The girl who was in the exam room never came out, but both girls went back to talk to her and said "she gets a little worked up sometimes" but concluded that she said the shot was $20 when in actuality the one my dog needed was $25. The only defense they had was that the girl said "about $111." This is ridiculous as I asked for a total with tax. It was suppose to be like $111.56. Which was already $11.56 over my budget. You may read this and think, "it's just $5." It's not that, it's the clear budget that I laid out and them saying "we'll work with that" and then coming back and saying (after the shots are all given) it's more than what you agreed to over your budget and the girl "meant, 'about' $111). Even though I asked for taxes and all. I'm very put off by this. From here on out I will be taking my dogs elsewhere as well as boarding them elsewhere. I also really dislike when employee's are trying to resolve the issue and come back saying the other employee "gets worked up" and can't calmly come out and admit they didn't give me the right price on a shot.

If I could give this vet a zero I would. I was charged fifty-one dollars for a health certificate for my first dog at eleven am. Fast forward four hours for that exact SAME piece of paper I was charged one hundred eighty nine dollars because they added one line of information. I was told it would be “ taken care of” then the the vet (Evans) came out and told me oh it’s because of the bordertella that’s how fifty one dollars went to a little over triple the cost. This is the worse money driven place I’ve ever seen. My dog also peed herself all over the place. I paid a total of $240 dollars for a single piece of paper.

Jill Fischer

Our Corgi, Sadie was 7 weeks old when she first met Dr Brown and she is now 4 and still Loves Dr Brown over others. Her moms agree that she is one in 100 that stands out every time we visit.

Mary Bowles

We've been using New Hope Animal Hospital for 10 years. We typically see Dr. Lori Brown. She is very caring and loving to the pets. New Hope is awesome for veterinary care and boarding.

Travis Rodgers

Having left NWA for Texas, we were SHOCKED to see the price and vet recommendations here after apparently being gouged for years. The things this vet "required" and the prices they charged are ridiculous. Ask around. Pen marks in the picture show the price in TX, and blanks are not recommended.

Horrific customer service and I will never be coming to this office again. My dog had an open wound which I wanted to get immediately checked out. I called the office and they gave me a 8:45 appointment that day. When I arrived, they told me they were not taking any new customers and did not recall taking my appointment. When I asked them if the number I called was the right number they 'no, that was not the correct number for the office'. while standing in the office, I re-called the number and lo and behold, the lady behind the desk answered the call. She still maintained that that was not the right office number Despite the fact that was the main number listed on the website. No idea what is going on in that office but would highly urge you to go elsewhere

Their care is worth the money. They keep my 13 yr old chihuahua happy and healthy. Will go nowhere else.

First and foremost, this animal hospital is charging 50-100% more than other area vets. I took my puppy for her 2nd round of shots and they popped me for $81. It turns out the vet down the road is giving the exact same treatments for $45. Seeing as I'm not made of money, the switch was a no brainer. Also, my puppy needed a tapeworm medication, which there vet advised that they didn't have the right medication but sent me to Petco to get it. Long story short-- neither Petco nor any other local or online retailer carries the item she sent me after. It turned into a 4 week wild goose chase, and of course the vet didn't return any of my messages on this issue. If I could give this place less than a star, I would.

I have been taking my fur babies, Trixi and Oreo, here since they were puppies (they are now 12 and 11 years old). As a first time dog owner 12 years ago, New Hope Animal Hospital made me feel sure that I was getting the best care for my kiddos and that they care as much as I do for them. The staff and doctors are always super nice and very caring. They always listen to my concerns, they explain any treatments, options and cost, they follow-up after appointments and I can always call them with questions. I would highly recommend this vet to anyone! <3

Great place to take your pets! We had our dog spayed here and they gave great instructions before and after and answered all our questions.

I always manage to get an appointment when I need one. My dog has never come him sick or injured so I think they are pretty good.

I have taken my two dogs to NH for years and had a good experience in the beginning. I don't know if it is because it is a corporately owned clinic or what but I never see the same doctor and they are always understaffed. The people at the front desk are pleasant but the wait is always long and on one occasion I had to wait over half and hour for a heart worm med refill. I had called hours ahead of time to get the refill ready and they said it would be ready by the time i'd come to pick it up after work - not only did they forget to fill the Rx but they forgot I was even sitting in the waiting room waiting on the Rx they forgot to fill! That wasn't even the last straw... a week ago I get a reminder that both dogs need to update their shots. I call to schedule an appointment and they can't get me in for 3 weeks! I am going out of town next week and have plans to board my dogs so this is incredibly inconvenient. My friend recommended Prairie Creek - I called and they scheduled me in right away for that weekend. The difference is night and day. I didn't have to wait 20 min, see a technician, then wait for another 20-30 min to see the doctor - I saw the doctor right away, my dogs were very comfortable and I was out of there in 30 min! I can't believe I didn't switch sooner! Needless to say, I will no longer be taking my dogs to New Hope.

The only thing good I can say about this place is that, they at least give care to the animals. But they shady and backhanded way they go about it is ridiculous. Pairing bloodwork with injections and completely hiding others from the bill. Only to be slapped with a 180$ puppy checkup tipped me over the edge. Will not be coming back

Crystal Schwolow

Always quick to respond and very friendly. Helpful bunch and good to my dog

It should not cost hundreds of dollars for yearly shots. I have 2 small dogs & that is what it costs for preventitive care.

I only take my pet here. After the vet at Prarie Creek almost killed my Boston Terrier and told me really all I could do was put him down. Refused to believe that was all I could do, even though I was a total mess, New Hope got him in right away and we got him nursed back to health. Dr. Hantz was so caring and compassionate and never forced a specific thing we had to do, she talked to me about things we can do and worked together on best treatment. Fast forward a couple more years now and my new pup goes here for her care too. I've seen where a "cheaper" vet gets you and even if their care is considered more expensive here, I'll gladly pay for the quality. Everyone has always been great here to me and my family. Only place I'll go for any pet care.

After switching vets they quickly addressed my dogs reoccurring ear infections as a food allergy. A round of meds and a food change and he has been perfect.

Tabitha Barker

Poor customer service, overpriced, they also try to tack on additional charges EVERY time you go in with your pet.

Marcus Conner

Called in about my pet being constipated at 2 pm on a Sat. Open till 4 and would/could not see my dog in this dire state. Obviously in the business for the money and not the pet...didn't want to extend their hrs for a pet in need of care. Recommended the 24 hr emergency vet in Springdale but a visit their a few yrs ago cost me $1000!!! Will NEVER visit there again or New Hope Animal Hospital!!!
