MAUMELLE ANIMAL CLINIC KILLED MY FAMILY DOG .Warning do not bring your animal to this clinic they killed my dog . My 7 year old weenie doxin male had been caughing for about a week so we called and made an appointment and we're seen 4 days later .what a joke . They did a heart worm check and said he was fine and then sent us home with two medications for him . We took him home and gave him the first round of medications. Within two hours he immediately started to seem to have short heavy breaths and began vomiting . So I immediately called back to the clinic and told them what was going on . The incompetent lady who answered the phone Jamie told us oh not to worry and that that was normal and that he was just adjusting to the medications . We side ok and continued to watch him him continued to get worse as the day progressed so I immediately called back over and over and over with no one answering at their office .night time came and he seemed to be fine in the morning we woke to find him Dead!!!!!! . I picked up my Dead dog and wrapped him In a blanket and held him as long as I could crying . I then called the animal clinic. At 7 30 to tell them what happened and was treated with the upmost disrespect . The lady who answered said how is that your dog is dead is our fault and what do you want us to do about it . I demanded to speak with Dr Overton . And she said they will not be there till 9 . I immediately went up there with my Dead dog . In hand and said does this look normal too you . They hurried me into a room and gave me some consoling and said so sorry . . Well our family friend is dead now And they will not take blame . YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMAL HERE THEY WILL KILL IT . (UPDATE).They should have know better then to give a small dog Cough Tabs . SAMPSON suffered greatly and died an excruciating painful death at the hands of your so called care gives the medication cough tabs in which they gave him is what killed him he exasperated and passed away due to the medication you gave him .other vets I have spoken with have told us they would never give a dog under 20 lbs that type of medication. Because it would kill them because of the sedation of the drug .and that's what happened You guys killed him due to your careless administration of the medication in which you sent him home with . Our hearts are broken and we will continue to Warn others of the inhumane procedures and practice and rudeness of your Staff .we can only pray you never make that same mistake again for the sake of other helpless animals . In your unprofessional care .but deadly mistakes were made and negligence was abroad and you should take blame and admit to your fault in our family friends death.

Our rescue beagle came with multiple health problems. Each time we visited Drs. Finn and Overton, they discussed options for treatment. They were non-judgemental regarding our decisions. When the most recent health issue could not be solved locally, we were referred to an orthopedic veterinarian in Russelville. They have been kind and extremely helpful in getting our dog, Blu, to a better state of health. The entire office staff is efficient and friendly.

My baby puppy got so sick from a food allergy and the entire time she was there, she was loved on, I received frequent updates throughout the day, the treatment plan was thorough and easy to understand. My puppy was not only healed but definitely pampered. Love this place, love these people!

I have been pleased with the care that my two cats have gotten from Dr. Finn and Dr. Overton. Dr. Finn did additional research and contacted an eye specialist when one had glaucoma in one eye. He referred me to the specialist when it was not improving as much as we had hoped. It turned out that my cat had a tumor in his eye. We moved here 3 years ago and have been happy with the care we have received.

I literally drive hours out of state just to keep maumelle animal clinic as my pets primary care vet clinic! The veterinarians and staff provide tip top service for my fur babies! They provide outstanding care, and a very clean boarding facility with a awesome groomer! Its literally a 1 stop shop! Love it and the staff! And most importantly my pets feel loved and safe in their care!

I hate this place big time. They trap you into prices BEWARE!!!! Got my dogs shots today. Had been quoted 140.00 over the phone and instead it ended up being 178.00. 5.00 bucks for tags and 30 bucks for lime disease shots, both of which i was not told about at any time until after it was all said and done. I found this to be pretty shady. Only reason i got my dogs shots was to board him here in a few weeks, now i don't know if i even wanna do that. I said i would pay the rest of my bill Thursday & i will, but after that i may not want to have anything else to do with this place.

My dog, Maks, had to have surgery. I was dreading it for him more than he was. The staff and Doctor took great care of him from the scheduling and explaining of the procedures that would take place. Dr. Overton called to speak to me after surgery and was assured that my little "boy" was doing just fine. The next day, I had some concerns about his surgical site.. Due to my work schedule, I took a picture and sent to office. They called and assured me that everything looked great and it was just some bruising. Would highly recommend them to anyone. They always take such great care of him!

We have three small dogs with no health issues and two 13 1/2 year old Himalayan cats with early renal insufficiency. They have been patients at Maumelle Animal Clinic for almost two years. Just because of the number of pets we have we are there often. I have only great things to say about the staff and the care our pets have received. The cats were patients at other AAHA clinics in Cordova, TN, and Conway, AR, and the charges are comparable. In some cases my pets are given shots which last 3 years instead of one, so the charge is more, but we don't pay that charge but every 3 years. They have never done anything which I did not request. Every detail of the pets' care is discussed with me in advance. I have never experienced a problem having a call answered and the doctors return my phone calls when I need to talk to them. I think the care my pets receive there is worth every penny and highly recommend them. We have the dogs groomed there regularly and are very pleased with that aspect of care as well.

There hasn't been a review on this clinic in almost a year... I'm new to the area and I found my puppy just over a month ago. She is a half Shep half Mal rescue. We saw Dr. Overton within about a week of her leaving the shelter and are currently going through her booster shots. The staff there has been incredible, extremely friendly and knowledgeable. These other reviews about price entrapment seem pretty outlandish from what I've seen and has not been my experience at all. My Dog (Hope) is in that puppy stage where she wants to eat just about everything and swallowed a small piece of copper today (from who knows where). I called the clinic and they were extremely friendly, professional, and consulted Dr. Overton to form a plan of attack (without asking for payment I might add). They suggested a conservative plan, gave me symptoms to watch for, and even gave me information on the after hour clinic near by (that they have no affiliation with). Between this experience and the extensive amount of questions a first time owner has, this place has been nothing, but top notch. Too long didn't; didn't read version: I don't believe there's a clinic or doctor that cares more about the health of your pet...that's more friendly or better staffed. There may be clinics that do it cheaper somewhere, but I don't skirt when it comes to my Pet's health and neither do these guys.

Do not take your animal here unless you are prepared to pay outrageous prices!! Regular follow up vaccinations that should cost around $45 were $167.00!!!! They are clearly in it to make money, not to help pets. I'm also not a fan of them taking your pet into a back room where you can't see what they are doing to your pet and you sit and wait in what appears to be an examination room.

This clinic would have gotten a 5 star review. We love the vets here and they take wonderful care of our boys who are all ages. Our Westie is 16, our Golden is 10 and we have a youngster standard poodle who is 8 months old. The vet care for all of them, I can not stress enough has been great and we’ve gone there for 15 years. Recently, however, our regular groomer had a new addition to her family of the human baby kind and she took some time off. Our poodle was in desperate shape and needed grooming very badly before Trish could return, so we took him to the groomer at the vet’s Office. When Tango came out of the groomer’s he looked like a million bucks, beautifully done. Later he started worrying at his paw and then two days later, he started bleeding, and I mean he bled all over the house. Well it was late at night and I gave first aid, got the bleeding stopped and put some ointment on the toes. I called the next morning and asked to bring him in, but I guess they were packed and we had to wait two days for hi. To be seen...they didn’t even have drop off available. Well, when he was finally seen, he needed 6 stitches in his foot. Oddly the cut was in the exact same spot as a wound my golden got from a groomer who cut him but had the honesty to say she had cut him. That groomer was a Petsmart groomer who had the good sense to take him over to the in house vet and have it looked at...gratis. The wound was contained and it healed well. Poor Tango went days without care. I believe this groomer cut him accidentally, stanched it and maybe applied some stop bleeding powder to it and Tango worrying about it made it worse...and we, dumb, parents didn’t realize he was telling us something wasn’t right. Hiding that made it worse...and I NEVER use this groomer again. Btw we have gone over our yard for possible dangerous objects and found none, so he got hurt at that groomers. I am soooo not happy.

We could not have been more impressed with the service here. Out dog had his jowl torn by another dog during a fight. There was lots of blood and skin hanging from the wound. We took him to the clinic, they processed his papers immediately, and took us to a room to be seen. The vet was very kind and knowledgeable, gave us our options, and walked us through everything we needed to know. We were in and out in less than 30 minutes. The staff was wonderful, the office was clean, and the prices were reasonable.

FRom the girls at the front desk to the veteranarians they are compassionate, kind, helpful, return calls immediately and take the best care of pets. Thank you for your wonderful service.
