I've taken all my pets here once I found out about them. My dog had Parvo when she was a puppy. Other places quoted me around $1000 for treatment where as it was only $300-$400 here and she survived. Great service, only complaint is there is a bigger girl at the front desk that always seems to have an attitude and doesn't seem like she wants to be there. Other staff is wonderful including the new vets they've hired. Wouldn't take my pets anywhere else!

This is the only vet I have taken my pet to and felt welcome. At other vets I feel like I would walk into other vets and feel judged or pressured to buy something I would later find I didn't need. This place recommends only what's needed, is very knowledgeable, and makes sure my baby gurl Lola is taken care of everything time.

Loved them. They were packed and ran a little behind but it was because they were trying to get everyone seen before closing. There was not any beating around the bush either and I liked that. They worked 2 of my dogs in last minute as well. They are not expensive at all compared to most. The staff was very helpful with suggestions. I have a dog that's allergic to everything........

I really Miss Dr. Misak and his wife they truly cared about you and your pets. Any time I had an issue with my pet or needed to do a walk in for shots they would always say you can come in and wait we will get you in. They have treated my pet for 8 years and never had any issues. Now that it has changed over I can never get in when needed and the prices are always different when I do get in.

What a wonderful place to take your pets. They did dental work on my Chihuahua and were wonderful to her. I love how loving and caring they were. Dr. Lennon is the most compassionate Vet I have ever met. The staff kept me informed because I have never been away from my girl Roxy and I knew she would be scared. I took my dog to this place to get his teeth cleaned because the price was better than other vet clinics when I priced around town. They gave my dog too much drugs when they put him to sleep to clean his teeth and since picking him up he has puked twice and isn't eating or drinking water a day later. Just laying there looking pitiful.

We drive from Otter Creek to Jacksonville because we love the doctor's "no fluff" consultations, the super friendly & helpful front desk staff, the new facility, and the affordable fees. I had to make that tough decision to have my old companion of 16 years put down last Fall and I was just devastated. By "no fluff" I mean that when I needed his professional opinion, the doctor gave me all options and even though I wanted him to make the decision for me, he knew that I needed to do it on my own. They took care of EVERYTHING in a gentle and loving manner and sent two condolence cards to my house that were hand signed by everyone in the office. It really made the pain a little more bearable. Worth the drive!!

First let me say the customer service was excellent. I went here for grooming and the results were hideous. My shih tzu was chopped, uneven, and overall terrible, I almost cried when I saw her. People asked me what happened to her and I was embarrassed. First and last time going there for grooming. $45 for a crappy job.

We took our sweet girl into this clinic this morning on high recommendations. Wait time was fine. We didn't see the vet himself. No labs drawn. The estimated bill was $149. We went over the estimate and decided against a few things they "wanted to do" but which we found unnecessary at this time. Those items were to be removed from the bill but when we went to pay for what we had agreed upon they had not removed the charges for the things we chose not to do in treatment. My husband paid for the office visit and the injection for her nausea. We're NEVER going to go here AGAIN! Why drive from Little Rock to Jacksonville for treatment for any of our fur babies if we're going to be charged for things NOT DONE?? We will find a clinic closer than 45 minutes away and save on mileage and gas and KNOW that what we're getting charged for will actually be any and all procedures done! *NOTE* RESPOND TO JAH:: As discussed upon examination and what your front desk wàs billing us are TWO DIFFERENT THINGS!! And THIS is WHY my husband DECLINED TREATMENT! GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT! BEST THING IS NOT TO ARGUE WITH *ANY* CLIENT BE ABOUT WHAT YIYO CLINIC *FAILED* TO DO!! YOU PEOPLE WILL COVER YOUR BUTTS ANYWAY YOU POSSIBLY CAN! I STAND BY MY REVIEW AND RESPNSES #DISGUSTED

I agree there have been some unpleasant changes since Dr. Mizak left. He used to give my shih tzu a shot for his alergies and the cost was around $20. It's more than doubled now....also I hate dealing with businesses that have no diversity in it's staff including management. There's also a guy on staff, not sure of his position but he is the most unpleasant person to deal with! Never saw him smile and he's terribly unfriendly.

So I ended up taking my four-legged baby to work with me and leaving her in the car until I finish my work. Thank God I rush to everything and finished Within one hour. I thought I was going to have a great date today. Since I work in North Little Rock I decided that it would be wonderful to take my four-legged baby Samantha to the groomers. I could drop her off on my way to work and pick her up at 12:30 when I get off work. That did not work out. I do not understand why do some employees at Jacksonville Animal hospital, will look you straight in your face and lie to you. I had a grooming apt's. For last week Jacksonville Animal Hospital I must say they did call and cancel that one. So the receptionist Stephanie rescheduled me for today which is Tuesday May 28th. I live 35 minutes away. One of the employee Patricia lied to my face and told me she called and canceled this morning. There was no missed calls or voicemail on my phone. Then when I tryed to show the young lady my cell phone. To let her know that there was no call. from there office this morning. She got rude and nasty. I have noticed that they only do that to the Black customers. Don't forget the Black customers money help keep you guys in business as well. Maybe you guys should put your front desk people though some intense customer service training. Just a suggestion.

I brought my 7 month old English bulldog here after having a bad experience at her first vet, and I love this clinic. Although one of the times that I have been here I did have to wait 45 min to be called back during their ''walk-in'' time frame (even though I had a scheduled appt) but I have to say that I would rather wait for a good vet that takes his time than to be rushed out by one who is trying to get out of the office by 5pm. I love that they have a walk-in time frame because I have needed it before and it is convenient. The staff has been patient with me so far, the vet is not much for small talk while working but he is very informative and takes his time with you to educate you on the issue at hand. I saw a lot of complaints on here about how busy they are and that the staff moves slow but coming from a vet that kicks you out quick, doesn't educate you, and a staff who rushes you to leave, I can appreciate a staff that may get a tad behind due to them working at a steady pace to ensure they are doing things right appose to rushing and making mistakes with peoples pets just to stay on schedule. Rushing caused my $2000 dog (whom I love to death) to almost have permanent eye damage and caused her to have to be sedated again to fix the issue....We want the staff to have patience with us customers, but we are all human so we should have patience with them as well....just my opinion.

I haven't even been to this location and I probably NEVER WILL all for one receptionist named Leslie. I called because I'm interested in adopting a kitten but I wanted to know what all it would require first such as vaccinations, test, neutering, etc.. She was extremely impatient and rude! I mentioned to her this was my first time dealing with felines and once she finished looking up the prices which I'm not even sure were right I asked if there was anything else to which she replied "What do you mean? I just told you the prices on the shots" I work in the clerical field so I know what customer service can be and what it should be and her skills were POOR. So this clinic has lost a potential client all due to one person with a BAD ATTITUDE!

I had a great experience. My cat was vomiting for a few days and eventually vomited up what I thought was two hairballs until I realized they were foreign objects and she was not eating and was sleeping all day and night. I called a few hours before close and they got me in immediately. They took great care of my kitty and administered fluids and antibiotics and gave us a prescription and a can of meat food. I was in and out in no time.

Better than the rest! Here you will experience nothing but the top-tier level of veterinary services. They are the ones who truly understand the needs of all animals from domestics to exotics to rodents. Their level of knowledge is above reproach. The veterinarians here are able to find the true source of problems. I had previously taken my Guinea pig to other veterinarians, but she was not getting better. The team at Jacksonville Animal Hospital were able to correctly identify ailments that veterinarians at other clinics were not skilled enough to find. Plus, their rates are much more reasonable than some of the others.

I had a great experience. My cat was vomiting for a few days and eventually vomited up what I thought was two hairballs until I realized they were foreign objects and she was not eating and was sleeping all day and night. I called a few hours before close and they got me in immediately. They took great care of my kitty and administered fluids and antibiotics and gave us a prescription and a can of meat food. I was in and out in no time.

Better than the rest! Here you will experience nothing but the top-tier level of veterinary services. They are the ones who truly understand the needs of all animals from domestics to exotics to rodents. Their level of knowledge is above reproach. The veterinarians here are able to find the true source of problems. I had previously taken my Guinea pig to other veterinarians, but she was not getting better. The team at Jacksonville Animal Hospital were able to correctly identify ailments that veterinarians at other clinics were not skilled enough to find. Plus, their rates are much more reasonable than some of the others.

I used Dr. Mishak for years to care for Jared, who was my amazing Great Bull Dane. I took him in due to an injured leg. They did xrays and put him on pain medicine, Meloxicam, for his pain. Meloxicam because it was cheaper. I didn't realize or know that it was toxic to big dogs because it is usually given in too high of a dose. Well, when Jared stopped eating, started drinking water profusely, throwing up and panting is apparent pain, I took him back in. He was kept overnight and put on IV fluids for dehydration. The next day, I was told he was fine and that I could come pick him up. When I brought him home, one of his rear legs was completely useless. He just started dragging it behind him. I don't know what happened to his leg. But, I do know that Jared was not fine. He died a few days later of a hemorraged valve. He completely bled out internally. Meloxicam causes all of these symptoms. But, the very doctor that put him on it, never considered the side effects when I brought him back. I paid them $500 and was completely willing to pay more to make sure he was cared for. He wasn't. He is gone. 6/27/18 - Dr. Mishak called me today to follow-up with me on what happened to Jared. He did have a genuine concern for him. For this I am going to give them another couple of stars. I did have some peace of mind on Jared's final condition after speaking with him. More importantly, he didn't have to follow-up.

More recently he treated our family dog that suffered a broken femur after our neighbor hit her with a rod. The new clinic looks great and we boarded her over this past weekend while we had to be away.

I wanted to drop off some of my dog training business cards, but I was informed that they only recommend someone out of Benton (whose not local, or even certified), and that they will not be recommending anyone else (in not such nice terms). I asked to leave the cards anyway and they were denied. So I went back in there today to visit with the owner about how rude the lady was yesterday, and hopefully reach a resolution. I was told that he didn't have time to visit with me. The receptionist told me that she gave him my card and he would call me. Then one of the techs pointed him out. Another lady behind the counter then told the tech that he doesn't have time to talk to me. So I went outside where he was standing and asked if he had time to talk with me. He said yes, then immediately the same woman who was rude to me yesterday came outside and told him that he was needed immediately in the back. So he looked at me and said, "Well I guess I don't have time to visit with you." REALLY??? All I wanted to do was enlighten him about how rude this lady was to me yesterday so that he could address the matter, and they have to be even more rude today??? I gave them one star because no stars isn't an option. Can't say that I will be recommending them to any of my clients, and I will NEVER, EVER darken their door again... My business also does not endorse, refer to, recommend, or utilize the services of Jacksonville Animal Hospital.

I have been taking my dog to this vet for about 2 years for shots mostly. I have never had great service, but it was located close to my home. This last visit though will be my final ever. My appointment was at 3:15. I arrived a few minutes early. The waiting room had several animals in it. There was a cat next to us and during our wait we small talked with his human. His appointment was at 3:45, but he came early. We waited for almost 45 minutes past our appointment time in the waiting room. In that time the cat went back and left before we were ever called even though his appointment was scheduled 30 min after ours. When we finally got a room I asked the tech if it would be much longer to see the vet. I only needed more pain pills for my dogs bad knees (chronic issue had been last seen in May but was told I had to see the vet to get another prescription). She said it shouldn’t be too much longer. 15 minutes later, 1 hour after my appointment time we left without ever seeing the vet. I loaded my dog into the car and came back in to see if I should pay the office visit fee and inform them that I was leaving and why. The lady who helped me at the desk was kind, but never apologized for the delays. She went back to the back to see if I needed to be charged. She said no, the vet nor the receptioniat helping me seemed concerned that I was never going to come back, but at least she smiled and was respectful. That isn’t a huge deal, just normal Jacksonville poor customer service, and I wouldn’t have left a review if the receptionist next to her who I NEVER even spoke to who was currently helping someone else didn’t decide to say super snotty to me “I hope you have a nice day” as I was walking out. Her tone stopped me in my tracks headed out the door. I didn’t even know what to say so I just looked at her for a minute.... all I could get out of my mouth was “are you being sarcastic?” I never even spoke her once the whole time I was there, but I’m sure she overheard my concerns. Customer service matters.

Even though they were closing soon, they still gladly offered to have him come in and get examened. They were all so friendly to both my dog and I and quickly addressed all of my concerns. They ended up staying there 1 hour after they closed just to take care of my dog. Such great people, and a great experience overall!

This is s great Vet, all the medical staff are so friendly and competent. Dr Parkison has helped me so much with my dog who now has Diabetes and is blind. Dr. Misak removed a large tumor from my other dog's eye and even called me on a Saturday to let me know the pathology and treatment. The staff are very compassionate, always have a hug when there is bad news and never are abrupt with people. I love this place, and i highly recommend it.

This place is amazing!! I brought my 12 year old black lab, Maggie Mae, in with a large tumor on her back leg. They were so good with her and with us. They explained everything to us in layman's terms. They told us what was wrong, how they could fix it and how much it would cost. They did not rush through anything and spent as much time as we needed answering our questions thoroughly and making sure we were comfortable with their course of treatment for our old girl. After her surgery, they let me know how she was doing and how the surgery went. When we came to pick her up, they again explained what they did in surgery and went over her meds and care of her wound and patiently answered any questions we had. Even with the surgery, the cost was about half of what we thought it would be. If you're looking for a great vet at a reasonable price, this is the place!!!

Love Doc and Nikki. Have been taking my babies there since 2005. The office visits, tests, meds. etc are EXTREMLY a good price. The care of service is great! The waiting can be a bit long at times and the building is not in the newest condition but aside from that this place is wonderful. Much worth the time and money and the distance, since I live in Sherwood. Won't go anywhere else, just hope Doc doesn't retire anytime soon!!

I needed my rat taken care of. Brought her in she was 100% healthy, just had a hemotoba on her that need to be drained. They assured me they could safely take care of her. And animatedly refused to let me in there to comfort her.after leaving her there LESS THEN AN HOUR they called me and told me she had passed. But whether she got scared to death or died from the ketamine they gave her I was not warned by them it is not safe to sedate rats And now my little sweet heart is gone. They are the only vet I will go to from here on out.

Went to pick up my friends dog. Waited 45min. Went to ask about the status of my wait. Was informed that I was next. Waited 15 more min. When the nurse came out, she gave me information on another dog. Not the one that I was getting. Then when I asked for medication that the dog needed, she told me that she didn't need any. My friend called and they were confused again. I had to go back and get medicine. It took me almost 2 hours to just pick up a post op animal!

A year ago, i praised this vet clinic. 15 yrs ago, i loved it as well. Last year our dog was diagnosed with heart worms by this vet. A year later after scraping for money for the treatment, took him to another vet, no heart worms. Very strong heart and very healthy!! After a year of tears and heartache, even for kids that love him, i would not reccomend this clinic to anyone. How can a vet be so careless when peoples animals are they're family / children. Think twice and ALWAYS get a second opinion. I wouldn't even give one star if i didn't have too.

I love the Drs we have dealth with, the girls on the phone and some up front however can be rude and offputting. Would be 5 stars if services we were price quoted on less than 10 days prior didn't get rudely stated "The person who told you that doesn't work here anymore, we wont honor that price." And have to pay nearly 3 times as much as we were told.

We've been taken out dogs over there to get shots and the people are pretty nice. It's kind of interesting because when you come in they'll ask you what's your pet's name instead of your name. I never really see the veterinarian but I always see the great assistance that work with him. Today when I went I found out there under new ownership. I don't know what that details, but I've always had a good experience with them and I had a pretty good experience today.

I had taken my pup to the hospital at 1am...due to breathing problems and seizures! 400 dollars later they couldn't tell me what was wrong, just wanted 900 more dollars to keep him overnight! Needless to say, I didn't have 900 so we left and came here the NEXT day! $20 dollars later he tells me what's wrong and gives prescription! No problems since! Best BY FAR!

My canine "Dude" loves to visit all the animals when we go to get meds or visit. However...I know a lot of the other animals think he us going to be a bad dog.. He has 6 kitty cat sisters and has never put a scratch on them just wants to play. He is the love of my life..Dr. Mizak and Dr. Paula Gibson treated him his last three visits except two weeks ago when a sweet lady did his nails and checked him out and got the meds he needed ready.. Love Doc and Nikki. Have been taking my babies there since 2005. The office visits, tests, meds. etc are EXTREMLY a good price. The care of service is great! The waiting can be a bit long at times and the building is not in the newest condition but aside from that this place is wonderful. Much worth the time and money and the distance, since I live in Sherwood. Won't go anywhere else, just hope Doc doesn't retire anytime soon!!

I needed my rat taken care of. Brought her in she was 100% healthy, just had a hemotoba on her that need to be drained. They assured me they could safely take care of her. And animatedly refused to let me in there to comfort her.after leaving her there LESS THEN AN HOUR they called me and told me she had passed. The vet took no responsibility for it saying he didn't do anything and she was old and prone to death. But whether she got scared to death or died from the ketamine they gave her I was not warned by them it is not safe to sedate rats And now my little sweet heart is gone. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR FUR BABIES.

Accidentally made appointment to this vet and wish I never had. Long wait time. I took my brand new puppy in for first shots and a wellness check as I had just got her day before and I was put in their break room not even exam room!! The very didn't do anything but gave her a parvo shot. Didn't exam her, never weighed, didn't have time to discuss best puppy food for this breed...Great Pyrenees. Would NEVER recommend this place
