They charge fair prices and always have convenient appointment times; they are always there to call and ask questions. You should definitely take your pets to Countryside Animal Hospital. We had to take our puppy there for her first set of shots and had to deworm her. Dr. Rainey took his time to explain to us what needed to be done and why, he even took the time to give us great tips on potty training, which helped tremendously! If you have a pet emergency he will answer your calls day or night! Not only is Dr. Rainey great but his staff is also, they have always been very kind to me and my animals, they are all good people and we are looking forward to our next visit

I have been going to this clinic for almost eighteen years. I am now on a very fixed income and by myself since my husband passed away almost four years ago. Last week I took my 3 lb yorkie to have an evaluation on her hernias. I had just had her teeth cleaned in July at a $400. price. Since she is eleven I brush her teeth and use a spray to keep down bacteria. I was told I could wait until her hernias were preventing her from going to the bathroom or her intestines come out. I ask how much this would cost me and could they polish her teeth while she was asleep. I told Dr, Stine she had two hernias. He told me between $350 and $400. I didn't want Dottie( the yorkie) to risk emergency surgery so I booked the apt. When I went to pick Dottie up....... I was told it was $801. I was in shock! What could I do? Paid with a credit card and told the tech I was not told this. I guess I have now lost complete faith in people. I have spent multi thousands of dollars over the past eighteen years. The doctor had his tech call and say he would credit back $200. to my account. I told her I won't be back. I guess since people can't afford these services , you take what you can from good dog parents. I can't believe things have gotten this bad. I have lost faith in this clinic and won't be back! BEWARE!!!!

Everyone who works there is so helpful and nice! I took our new kitten, Biscuit in to get shots last week but he had a slight fever so no shots that day and I wasn't even charged for that visit which was great. Over this past weekend my 3 yr old cat, MooMoo was sick & dehydrated. I was up all night worrying about her and I called early Monday morning hoping to get her an appointment within a day or two but they let me bring her in immediately!! I was so relieved to get her in right away. They are awesome!! Thank you!!

Brought my cat in with a mammary tumor that was misdiagnosed by another vet in town. The vet and the tech were so wonderful to my pet. They were gentle and loving, and never took her out of my sight without permission and telling us exactly what for. Did her exam, temp and all, in the room with me. They were patient with all our questions and our concerns. Unfortunately, our cat passed yesterday, despite all their efforts, but they were even wonderful during the end of life decisions. Price was very fair for everything that was done. The receptionists were very kind and everyone calls your pet by name. Despite the unfortunate outcome, I know they did everything they could to make sure she (and we!) were always comfortable, and I will continue to take my pets here, and I recommend them to everyone I know. Countryside has been absolutely wonderful and I cannot praise them enough. Thanks to all of you for everything you did for Mao.

Last week was my first visit to this facility and I felt that my cat was treated by someone who understands cats. In the other vet clinic where I used to go in Chicago, Luna had always been held by the scruff and taken in the back. Here, Dr Martinez sensed that Luna was scared and therefore she was very careful, soft spoken and very efficient. Luna didn't even react to the injections Dr. Martinez gave her and the best part is that I was always holding her, my cat never left the room. I am very pleased with this clinic and I will be using their services for my other cats.

My dog had a tumor on his kidney. Out of desperation I took him there because of great reviews. He only had a few days to weeks to live. They prescribed a cancer diet and herbs. I don’t have but one experience with these people so I can only speak about the fact that they never called or checked on us. I put my dog down a week later. I will continue to look for another vet for my other dog.

Waiting time is very minimal and the visit itself is complete with vets taking the time to ask questions and give thorough examinations. Dr Martinez saw my dog for an issue that was properly diagnosed and treated by a previous vet. Not only was she miles off on her 'attempt' to explain the underlying issue, she failed to write a simple prescription that alleviated my dog's symptoms in the past. Failure to comprehend basic medical science seems to be an issue here. I would advise driving as far as you need to in order to get your pet proper treatment from a proper veterinarian. Affordable vet clinic in Jonesville will try to squeeze less money out of you and actually treat your pet.

He actually saved us money by letting us know that the food we were purchasing for our cat, actually wasn't doing a thing. This place is top notch and so great with my dog ranger will be going here 4 life. I grew up as a animal lover and worked at pet care in arkadelphia AR and I can tell a loving and caring vet and vet tech when I see them I would trust them with my dogs life and that's why I do. The pricing is great my dog goes in happy and even leaves happier then ever, well mostly becuase he loves attention and his brain game there but this is my recommendation go here and trust them with your fur baby.

It seems that there is always a new inexperienced vet at this practice. I have been using them 10+ years as needed for simple things like puppy health certificates. Recently I called for an emergency with 2 of my dogs that had gotten into some poison and was told they wouldn’t see us and to try UF. I was able to find another local office that told us to head in immediately and they treated my dogs, who survived. Needless to say we won’t be using them again!!

I recently started taking my dog here to be seen. The area around the clinic seems very new and well maintained. Inside the clinic everything was very clean and orderly. There are separate entrances for cats and dogs which I thought was neat. However where this clinic really shines is the staff. Everyone from the front desk to the vet techs are very friendly and accommodating. The veterinarian I saw, Dr Strickland, was nothing short of amazing. She walked me through the necessary shots and procedures in a very caring and extremely knowledgeable manner. She was wonderful with my dog and they have found a customer for life. In addition, and I don't like to mention it as it seems secondary to the level of care one receives, their prices are very reasonable and using their pawplans makes the prices even lower. If you need a vet, go to countryside.

We have a micro pig that is 5 months old that was attacked by a dog that we thought was going to die. It had damage to its front leg and back leg and had a bad head contusion and couldn't walk. The doctor x ray her and there was no broken bones, but he worked with her and gave her 2 shots and told as to take her home and if she wasn't eating or drinking in 2 days bring her back and he will work with her. We brought her home and in two days she was eating and drinking and she walking with a small lamp, but what is so great. The veterinary at that Animal Hospital wasn't going to give up on her. He is a great veterinary in or eyes.

I can't say whether this is a good place to take your pets or not, but I can say that before I even got a chance to check it out, I was greatly disturbed by their price gouging. They mandate flu shots and worm tests on top of the other vaccines, and require you to pay for pets to be bathed after boarding, even if they don't need it. I'm sure they're very nice and good to your pets, but I refuse to do business with people looking to boosts their profits by unnecessary mandates.

A big thanks to Countryside Animal Hospital, and especially Dr. Thomas Rainey for restoring our cat Noel’s dental health. Noel had two rotted teeth that was causing infection. She couldn’t eat, and she was vomiting. We took her to another animal hospital in LaGrange, and they misdiagnosed her with having an ear infection. After giving Noel medication for a week for her ears with no improvement we decided to take her to Countryside Animal Hospital. Dr. Rainey took one look at her and knew what the problem was. He extracted two teeth, and cleaned the rest. Two days after the procedure Noel was back to her old self. Running, playing, and eating like a horse. I love this hospital. I can't say enough about Dr. Hernandez and the rest of the staff there. They showed so much compassion for my kitty, Puff. I brought her in on an emergency because she was having shortness of breath and all they were concerned about was making her comfortable. I was a complete mess and a receptionist named Tiffany was very kind and offered me coffee while I waited on the outcome of my baby girl. One of the technicians kept me informed on what was going on with her and they gave me an itemized estimate so I wouldn't be surprised of the charges and it gave me a chance to decide what I could do that day. Surprisingly the estimate was very reasonable and my girl is home and breathing well. A special thanks to to everyone there for taking such good care of her.

Very Dissatisfied. "Paw Plan" is a scam. We had to give our pups a few expensive treatments. in preparation, we requested quotes for budgetary reason as well as to price shop. EVERY single bill was HUNDREDS more than quoted each with various fees. after talking with some friends it seems this happens to them too as well as being locked into paying hundreds more for paw plan fees they're no longer using. We're switching ASAP.

As always the service was excellent at Countryside Animal Hospital. Unfortunately, (fortunately) I have had to visit the the vet multiple times over the last two years and have had quite a few vets (i.e. moved out of Alachua County and have Mini Piggs), however, I have been blessed with excellent veterinary care every I have been. What I have been pleased with at Countryside is the familiar faces upfront with the warm welcoming attitudes. The vet assistants are excellent, helpful, and wonderful with your animals. Even though I am a person of routine and like to go to the same individual, place, area, etc. every time, I have found the veterinarians to all be as caring as the next one. I have been comfortable allowing my pups see various veterinarians over the years. And they have gotten just as much care, loving, and medical attention as the next. Kudos!

Since moving to Hot Springs 12 years ago, we have taken our pets to 4 different veterinarian offices. There is a reason that Countryside is the one that we've been with for the last 8 of those years. The staff is friendly, professional, caring and most importantly, knowledgeable. They have done routine care for all of our dogs and cats as well as removing a tumor from my Shih Tzu and successfully treating a urinary blockage in one of my male cats. They explain everything they are going to do prior to treatment and give an always an accurate estimate of cost.

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! After many recommendations to go to a Snip Clinic and other cheap places I decided they are cheap for a REASON! Found out today those places typically do not do blood work to make sure your baby can handle being anesthetized. Decided to drive to Oldham County to Dr. Rainey to get my kitten spayed- glad I did! Great staff, quick and efficient service! She will now be using them as her regular vet moving forward!

We weren't sure if she actually ate any so we decided to bring her in anyways just to check with x-rays. The x-rays showed that she had eaten 2 rib bones and that they were in her stomach. I actually got to talk to Dr. Wright and Dr. Hernandez on the situation and they informed me of everything that could be done for my dog and gave me several options for what could happen with my dog. Luckily we chose the right options and all the bones came out of her and she was just fine! The situation could have been a lot worse for my dog but they assured me that she was going to be okay and did a great job of taking care of her. They were all very nice considerate people there and you can tell they love what they do by the type of customer service and care they provide for the animal. I would highly recommend them for all your veterinary needs.

I have worked with many different vets in the past and I find Dr. Daws to be extremely incompetent and the majority of the staff is useless (they do have one good vet-tech). The wait time was long and it was a complete waste of my time/money as I had to go pay for another exam at a legitimate vet the day after visiting here. I highly recommend that you use UF small animal hospital or literally any other vet if you care about the health of your pets. Also they offer clients $10 off for positive google reviews which makes it hard to trust any that you read.

I used to take all of my pets to LaGrange Animal Hospital, which was a big mistake. One of my cats was sick for almost a year and they kept assuring me that her tests were fine and she was just stressed. Lately she was more sick than usual and I was fed up. I literally walked in and explained the situation and asked if they could see her right then. They were kind, understanding and found time for us. Moved here in January and was really happy with my out of state vet. I had spent THOUSANDS of dollars treating a skin problem in WI. I was giving my dogs tons of pills and steroids. After ONE visit to Countryside, Dr. Hernandez was able to treat Buddy's PROBLEM and not the symptoms. A simple food change and stopping all the steroids made a huge difference, I hope it lasts. Their staff is always really great and they even called me back to check on me after each visit. I never disliked my out of state vet but I can't help but be so glad I moved! Fortunately, I don't think I will have to be at the vet every 6 weeks anymore thanks to a new plan. I don't know how cheap they are compared to other clinics here...definitely cheaper than up north and a better value if I don't have to be there all the time!

We were traveling through the area and our beloved lab became very ill and weak. I called for an emergency appointment 8am on that Monday. The receptionist was not very pleasant to deal with but we needed someone desperately so she grudingly told us we could come in and they would work us in. The Technician and the Veterinarian were so outstanding that I honestly don't have all the right words. Our poor devoted lab was full of cancer and was suffering. The other day our dog was bitten by a rattle snake. I called the animal hospital closest to our house and they instructed us to come here, to the Countryside Animal Hospital, where they had anti venom on hand. When I arrived I was instructed to wait for the technician to finish her phone call. As if that wasn't enough when dealing with a time sensitive matter, she began a long-winded lecture explaining that they would not treat him because they were unable (or unwilling) to monitor him overnight. Clearly the staff was not concerned with his well-being. If you value your pets life avoid this so-called "hospital" at all costs, especially when faced with an emergency. I would advise taking them to the small animal hospital at the University of Florida where they value the life of your pet as much as you do.

I've been a client of theirs for almost 10 years. I was unfortunate enough to have an emergency last Wednesday only to find out that Countryside Animal Hospital has no on-call physician on Wednesdays. They're only offer of help was to take an 82 year old woman and her 14 year old Shih Tzu to Little Rock which is an hour away. The 82 year old woman had been a client of Countryside for 14 years. We have both left and joined the family at Temperance Animal Hospital who literally does have 24/7 emergency care. Just beware and don't have an emergency on Wednesdays. I'll spare the review on the staff during the emergency as it was Despicable.

We had an appointment for 11:40 am, at 12:15 still sitting in waiting room with earlier appointments in front of us still waiting. I was at wits end with my 16 year old Jack Russell, Lucy had become increasingly needy by barking at me constantly even after I had fed her and taken her outside multiple times a day. My previous vet gave me anxiety meds for her to take to calm her down this just made her sleepy not really a good a solution to her issues. I found Dr Rainey via Google, he accessed her and did a couple of x-rays and found that Lucy was in pain due to hip dysplasia in both hips along with arthritis in her spine. She needed pain meds, cortisone shot and also TCVM herbs after 10 days she had her 1st acupuncture treatment and is much more like her younger self! Thank you Dr Rainey and staff, we will be back!

As an Hot Springs Village resident I live close to four animal hospitals, but I trust the care and ethics of the veterinarians, Dr Jessica Rhodes is the Chins primary veterinarian. Recently Peri, the youngest, was ill. He has had chronic back problems, so I made an appointment with Dr. Karen Hooks, a veterinarian chriropractor. But Karen discovered Peri had a problem not treatable by chiropractic, so I went to Dr. Rhodes. Her humility and concern for Peri is awesome. She could not discover what was wrong so she refer.red us to a specialist in Little Rock. Wow! My opinion is that none of the 4 vets around the Village - especially a particular one - would have the humility to admit they didn’t know what was wrong with Peri or how to treat him. I am so grateful to Dr. Rhodes for referring Peri to Dr. Nef, a veterinary neurologist. Peri is so much better! He was diagnosed with non-infectious encephalitis, which is treatable! He is already better and improving daily! Thank you Dr. Rhodes for wanting the best for Peri and asking me about me when I saw you yesterday!

Before moving to Alachua we drove from Gainesville because their reputation was that good. When we had to let Lefty go, Dr. Stine came to our home so Lefty could be comfortable. The Drs and staff have ALWAYS been kind, compassionate and their experience is invaluable. We have had both dogs and cats and love the separate waiting rooms. We took my mother-in-law's 10 yr old dachshund to have her teeth cleaned and get dental care (12 tooth extractions) for severe dental disease. Dr. Rainey was very thorough and the entire staff gave her excellent care. By her 2nd post op day she was running around with tons more energy and a much better appetite. Led to this vet by the multiple great reviews. Everybody makes mistakes however this one almost cost us our baby. Our dog was taken here due to dementia and after extensive blood work. Was told her heart was bad amongst many other things. She put on heart medications and nona juice. 4 days later she was almost dead. After a trip to the local vet she has spent the last 10 days on iv fluids and daily medication to recover from being given uneeded medication prescribed at a dosage for a dog 5 times her weight. I hope everybody has a better experience. This was ours always be cautious and watch your babies carefully and seek care before its too late. Thank God our baby was saved from an early demise.

Will not bother with this place any more. My dogs had vaccines and got six months each of heartgard and Frontline. Was told today that to get another 6 months my dogs would have to have an exam..... WTH would they have done if I would of bought a years worth instead of six months. The time before that they charged me 200$$ for lab work and never got a urine sample which I paid for. I think they are all about the almighty dollar instead of the dog..... Shame on you!!

I moved to the La Grange area this summer and brought my dog up here first to board with Countryside while we moved. Besides the shock to the dog of a new environment I found this Vet's office to be extremely caring to our dog and friendly towards us , so I have used them more than a couple of times since for family and business trips we have gone on. Before at the other boarding places the dog would seem sad beforehand, knowing what was to happen. Now the dog seems sorta happy to go, so to me that is the mark of a good vet. The prices are affordable, and less than was in Nashville. The price of the bath sorta initially scared me off though , but when you see what they do and they clip the nails ( which keeps my floors nicer) and they do more than just dip like other vets do it works out to be extremely affordable. The back yard where the seem to let them play looks pleasant and is spacious enough for them to exercise which might contribute to my dog's happiness there. So the dog is happy , we are happy with this Vet's office and will use them for all our dog's needs.

Drs. Stine and Hamilton have been our vets for the past 16 years.They have saved our dogs' lives and been with us as we sent our beloved dogs across the Rainbow Bridge. Sue in the front office is tireless and always helpful. It is unfortunate that there seems to have been a change in customer service since Dr. Stine left. Recently, they reneged on a policy that will cost us hundreds of dollars. Our dogs (4) have been on heart worm medicine all of their lives. We have purchased that medicine through Countryside. They now require our dogs to have a heart worm test on file. Previously, we signed a waiver since this is a redundant test. That is no longer an option. We are looking elsewhere for a vet.

Had a mixed experience with this vet. They were mostly helpful. They are too expensive. When I asked a secretary about my bill during a phone call since I wasn't able to attend my pet's appointment, I could hear the assistant yacking over the phone saying, "tell him we didn't charge him for benadryl." Like omg, you didn't charge me for one dose of something I can buy an entire supply of over the counter at basically any store I ever go to. You should really pat yourself on the back for that one. Then, they overcharged me for an ultrasound by not providing an accurate quote before the procedure. They didn't give me an exact figure and they exceeded their estimation of the cost. Their ultrasound expert charged a $75 "travel fee, "which is ignorant. I've never heard of getting paid for driving to work where you get paid to do your job. I've never been paid to drive to work no matter where I worked and no matter how far I had to drive but I guess this guy is special. I also never wanted my pet seen by any one other than Dr Rhodes. I would not recommend any one else. I have to say countryside animal hospital is ambivalent and over priced.

The pic shows two of our adopted furbabies, Mister and Brody, both from Animal Care Society. When we adopted Brody, we knew he had dental issues by his horribly bad breath. Turns out he had five abscessed teeth that needed extracting. Kid you not - the day after Dr. Rainey did the procedure, Brody was a different dog. He had more energy and seemed happier than ever -- probably because he wasn't in pain from his sick teeth any more! Bless the people who surrendered Brody for various reasons. Among the things they provided like a bed and a carrier were a packet of Paul Mitchell Canine Dental Wipes. Wait, what? That's what they thought was the way to manage Brody's obvious dental issues? No, friends. When dogs are wasting away because they can't eat because their teeth hurt, and then their bodies are fighting infection, and maybe their heads droop to one side or *any* *other* *weird* sign -- it might be their teeth. Especially if you feed from the table! (#notjudging) Moral of the story - Brody was a new and different dog after he got his teeth fixed. I've been using this vet for the past year but only for boosters and shots. This past Monday I brought one of my fur babies in because he was extremely sick. They took X-rays, blood work, racked me up around $900 in bills for my 2 days with them, just to tell me they don't know. So I kept him there overnight Monday to be on IVs, I got in Tuesday morning to check on him, no vet has still talked to me. He had been leaking all over himself and had stuff crusted all over him, they weren't even keeping him clean. I leave to go to work, come back again to check on him, they sit me in the waiting room for a hour. Still I never got to talk to a vet, I had to leave to go back to work, and then the vet finally calls me., just to tell me there is nothing she can do, she doesn't know what's wrong and she wish she knew what do to...wow..not something a pet mom wants to hear. Remind you, she did nothing after that. My option there was to take him home with the SubIV and try to fix him myself. He only got worse and worse...Thank God, I had a friend who refferd us to Temperance Hill Animal Hospital. Dr.Taylor talked to me the whole time, never ever was too busy & he is the owner of the clinic there. They kept him two nights and he treated him with IVs, anitboitocs and they talk to you about every single thing they're doing for him. I feel like Countryside did not care at all, it was just pay us and we can't tell you what to do. The most hopeless feeling ever. I'm about to google my doctors name there because that is how unpersonable they were. The nurse Amy was sweet, and called to check on him two days later. Dr.Fentress was our Vet, and I would never recommend her or that place to anyone if their in a crisis. I never had a problem with them until I needed their help desperately, it was the most helpless feeling and I'm so glad I switched vets! Night and day service! I even heard the people in the room next to me get offered water while they waited and I've been going there for over a year and never heard that line to me. Horrible place that I wish I never knew of, the vet I dealt with obviously needs to do some more training or go back to school. I don't feel like she knows what she's doing at all. :( Thank God, my baby is home and well thanks to Temperance Hill Animal Hospital! --I never ever post reviews either. But this is something I can't be quite about and won't! Wish It was a -10 star!

DR. STINE AND DR. HAMILTON ARE NO LONGER THERE!!! STAY AWAY!!!! I will NEVER TAKE MY DOGS THERE AGAIN. They have been taken over by a corporate entity and MONEY IS THEIR ONLY CONCERN. The previous owner was considerate not only of my dogs but of my expense. For example: I had unfortunately not kept up with the heart worm prevention. The previous owner let me get the blood tests for $24 each (I have three dogs) and then they have been on the prevention ever since. No lapses. When I went to reorder I was told my vet was no longer there and I had to pay for a FULL EXAM for each dog before they would give me the prevention which they had been on continuously. If you know anything about this you know you don't have to retest if they have been on it. THIS IS A CORPORATE TAKE OVER OF OUR LOCAL VET. All they want is your money. OH and be sure to check out the history of the vet they assign you. Find out where they went to school. You'll be shocked.

I have been taking my pets there for over 20 years and wouldn't even think of going elsewhere!!! The vets and staff are kind, courteous, knowledgeable, and there to serve you and your pet. Their first concern is the health and safety of you pet. No, I don't work there. The prices are VERY fair and no unnecessary or extraneous tests or medications are EVER pushed, "sold," or otherwise even mentioned. The vets will explain all your options, costs, recovery, etc, and then give you their opinion. Nothing is ever forced on you in any way, not with scare tactics or anything. People come from several counties around Alachua (and often several hundred miles) just to have their pets treated here. They certainly aren't doing that because they don't like the clinic! Give them a try. I'll think you'll be glad you did!
