I went here to drop off my friend's dogs as a favor. As I was leaving, literally backing up and about to drive off, one of the staff, not the one at the front desk, walked up to my driver's side window. She gave me a dead eye stare as I rolled down my window to see what she wanted. I asked if there's something I could help her with, and she immediately started harassing me. She was claiming I didn't belong here, that this was her driveway, and that I needed to leave now. I said I was leaving until you stopped me, then she mumbled something then went back inside the building. I felt threatened the whole time and to this day I can't figure out what her deal was. Needless to say, I never went back, and I can safely say I would never do business with them.

HIGHLY reccomend! We adopted a husky only to find out a week into owning her that she had been spaded and stitches left in. The clinic was very prompt with scheduling and understanding of our insane circumstances. They are very reasonably priced and awnsered ALL of our concerns about our newly adopted baby. They seem okay at first but the whole place looks like it's run by teenagers. They're rude, there's no supervisors. Everyone's immature and unprofessional. Half the staff are some of the most childish acting grown women I have ever seen. They didn't do a very good job with my dog, it seems like they spend more time gossiping than doing their jobs so I switched vets asap. I'd recommend any other vet clinic but this place. It's like a high school classroom.

I have never written a review before, but the care forced me to write one so the world knows how great these people and this business is. The staff and Dr. Laura Hokett have shown us true compassion, sympathy, love, support, and encouragement. The care they gave my dog, Bella, during her last few days on this earth was truly a care you could not receive anywhere else. If you want staff and a vet that care so much for your pet, I would suggest going here. The staff slept next to my dog for two straight nights, Dr Laura Hokett called all around the country to try to save my dog, and they kept their doors open for us after hours. I work in the health care field, and I know true compassion, care, and knowledge when I see it, and they deliver it. I would highly suggest this clinic over any clinic I've ever been to. We trust our pet's lives with the doctors at Best Friends. Laura Hokett saved one of my dogs life by allowing "Baby Dixie Girl" to get a blood transfusion from one of her own dogs. Just wanted to pass on a compliment for Best Friends Animal Hospital. I have taken a total of eight of my dogs there over the past 6 years and have received nothing but the very best of care for them. Dr. Hokett, Dr. Hill and Dr. York are all excellent veterinarians who do not hesistate to do what is best for your pet. Their lab facilities are the best in the area including ultrasound and Dr. York's capabilities as an in house pathologist. I feel any tests they do are to aid in a correct diagnosis of my pet's problem. I return again and again because they go the extra mile. Many a night Dr. Hokett takes sick or recovering animals home with her to personally attend to their critical care. I have also seen this clinic take in countless homeless or hurt animals that the shelter would have put to sleep. There is always a pen of puppies or kittens in the front reception area waiting for their new homes. On several occasions when my pets had out of the ordinary, unusual problems Dr. Hokett has referred me to other highly skilled doctors who were able to take my pets' care a step further. She has excellent contacts with specialty clinics in St. Louis, Tulsa, Little Rock, Kansas City and Las Vegas that include dog neurologists, eye surgeons, the best-of-the best,etc. Before returning to her home state of Arkansas 8 years ago Dr. Hokett had two animal clinics in Las Vegas. As for staffing, Dr. Hokett insists on a strict protocol and high standards. Many of her staff have been or are pre-vet students who work there as well as attend the U. of A. I would highly recommend this clinic as I have long experienced nothing but the best of care!

In my opinion the experience with Best Friends Animal Hospital was bad, lots of miscommunication and unprofessional behavior. I had taking my dog for a check up appointment and to get him onto a medication for allergies. Once the medication was on limited supply from the manufacture the communication and promises made by Best Friends was not true. I had felt like they had an issue with me following up once a month and decided that removing my dog from the list for the medication was the best thing to do, however it was more of a personal issue they had. I was left to see my dog suffer yet they came to care about animals. My opinion leaves me sadden that the care expected and promised was not followed through.

The vets and folks that work at Best Friends are some of the best I have ever seen. Our cat had a life-threatening illness and we were very unsure if he was going to make it. They gave us 60/40 odds for a recovery when we arrived and were diagnosed. This actually was not our current vet (who happened to be on vacation). We were given Best Friends as a recommendation. Long story-short... our cat is alive and healthy! If it would not have been for the exceptional staff, I don't think he would be with us. These people are not only kind, compassionate, and knowledgable, but COMPETENT!!!!! The vets gave me their personal cell numbers. They called and gave me daily updates. My two children and I were able to visit our cat during non-working hours. We became very aquainted with the staff and are super fond of all those working there... Special shout out to Dr. Hill-she is the bomb. This is the place to take your pets! They truly care and it shows.

Excellent care and service. Our old girl ended up with HGE, and was not doing well when we brought her in. The Techs, and Vets here are wonderful. Caring, informative, and patient. Less then 2 days later or baby was back home and perking up by the hour. When it comes to our pups, they are absolutely engrained in our family, so leaving them anywhere is difficult for us. When it come to Best Friend though, we have nothing but the upmost trust when we leave them in their care. Highly recommended!!!

Best Friend's is the most welcoming, comfortable experience for my pets---I could not ask for a more dedicated and friendly group of people. I have five pets----three dogs and two cats---and the staff is so accommodating to schedule so that I don't have to make so many trips for appointments, and I so appreciate that....Also, I have taken advantage of their early drop off service for exams and shots and have been able to pick up my pets after work which has been a lifesaver for me. Rachel operated on Bella Mae and corrected her "cherry eye" and removed a growth and everything went extremely well. Laura and Rachel have been there for us in emergencies too. When one of my dogs had a horrible bacterial infection both ladies diagnosed the problem quickly and had him on meds right away. They saved his life. I have and will continue to recommend Laura and Rachel to anyone who needs excellent care for their pets.

Both doctors continuously work to better themselves by continuing education, introducing new procedures and treatments that the client's pet(s) will benefit from. We are proud to have an in-clinic pathologist, Dr. Anita Kiehl. These three doctors bring to the table over 50 years combined veterinary experience. Our doctors and staff all strive for professionalism, compassion, and go above and beyond the call of duty. I personally can attest to Dr. Hokett, Dr. Hill, and Dr. Kiehl's knowledge as my own dog was critically ill last year, and with their knowledge and expertise, my dog has made a full recovery. We've been going to Best Friends since 2006 and loved every visit! For those who think the prices may be higher, you really get what you pay for. BF boasts knowledgeable and well-trained staff and the highly personable Dr. Wendell, who is a great communicator no matter what your understanding of veterinary science is. She always answers questions directly and simply and spends all the time necessary to make sure we are satisfied. The facilities are very clean. Rudy also gets his "hair done" by Mary. She listens, is gentle, and always does a terrific job with his hair (which has been somewhat of a challenge for other groomers in the past). Rudy is always happy to walk in the door, so I interpret that as his having a great experience, too. In regards to "high employee turnover," as mentioned in another review, almost staff member I have ever encountered is a college student aspiring to be a veterinarian. Therefore, one would expect that they would only have short careers at BF because they learn, graduate college, and are accepted into vet school! Yes, that is firsthand knowledge. I actually know one of the girls who went on to veterinary school.

Best Friend's is the most welcoming, comfortable experience for my pets---I could not ask for a more dedicated and friendly group of people. I have five pets----three dogs and two cats---and the staff is so accommodating to schedule so that I don't have to make so many trips for appointments, and I so appreciate that....Also, I have taken advantage of their early drop off service for exams and shots and have been able to pick up my pets after work which has been a lifesaver for me. Rachel operated on Bella Mae and corrected her "cherry eye" and removed a growth and everything went extremely well. Laura and Rachel have been there for us in emergencies too. When one of my dogs had a horrible bacterial infection both ladies diagnosed the problem quickly and had him on meds right away. They saved his life. I have and will continue to recommend Laura and Rachel to anyone who needs excellent care for their pets.

Dr. Hokett and Dr. Rachel Hill are two incredibly gifted doctors, who truly look out for their clients, and patients, best interests. Both doctors continuously work to better themselves by continuing education, introducing new procedures and treatments that the client's pet(s) will benefit from. We are proud to have an in-clinic pathologist, Dr. Anita Kiehl. These three doctors bring to the table over 50 years combined veterinary experience. Our doctors and staff all strive for professionalism, compassion, and go above and beyond the call of duty. I personally can attest to Dr. Hokett, Dr. Hill, and Dr. Kiehl's knowledge as my own dog was critically ill last year, and with their knowledge and expertise, my dog has made a full recovery. We've been going to Best Friends since 2006 and loved every visit! For those who think the prices may be higher, you really get what you pay for. BF boasts knowledgeable and well-trained staff and the highly personable Dr. Wendell, who is a great communicator no matter what your understanding of veterinary science is. She always answers questions directly and simply and spends all the time necessary to make sure we are satisfied. The facilities are very clean. Rudy also gets his "hair done" by Mary. She listens, is gentle, and always does a terrific job with his hair (which has been somewhat of a challenge for other groomers in the past). Rudy is always happy to walk in the door, so I interpret that as his having a great experience, too. In regards to "high employee turnover," as mentioned in another review, almost staff member I have ever encountered is a college student aspiring to be a veterinarian. Therefore, one would expect that they would only have short careers at BF because they learn, graduate college, and are accepted into vet school! Yes, that is firsthand knowledge. I actually know one of the girls who went on to veterinary school.
