We went to have our bunny daisy euthanized due health issues. They were incredibly compassionate and several days after our loss and visit we received a card from them which further exemplifies their compassion. While we hope to never need to provide any care to any of our other pets the compassion they showed let's me know they will be where we go to seek that care if needed.

There are no words to express the love and admiration we have for Baxter County Animal Clinic, the best care, the most compassionate clinic we have been since we have been in Mountain Home..Doc and Merilyn took our "Baby" into their home and then to the clinic in the middle of the night and did everything possible for her and for us.

Have used this clinic several times - very friendly and professional staff. Dr. Shedenhelm cares for the animals and explains things where you can understand them... even when dealing with difficult diagnoses/situations. BCACs care and customer service is best in class. Horribly rude man answered the emergency number at 10:30 at night. I called wanting to get my dog tested for parvo because he had all the symptoms. The man told us it sounded like parvo (which we already knew) then when we tried to tell him where we were from (about an hour away from Mountain home) he told us, “Well I’ve already been asleep for an hour so you better figure out what you’re doing or go to someone else.”

Dr. Snodgrass was out when I called to have my kitty looked at, but the receptionist was very kind and helpful. She apologized for the inconvenience and provided me with the phone number to another clinic that was open that day. Although I can't speak to the actual clinic, I do very much appreciate that they were more concerned about me getting help for my pet than just trying to retain a client by trying to schedule an appointment later in the week! Thank you for loving pets!

All lower star ratings are SUSPECT. Nowhere near what I have experienced. With common knowledge and common sense about diet, environment and exposure, it's a no brainer: James Snodgrass is going to take care of the rest. And his staff is going to work with you, in a straight forward approach. Which I can appreciate. Been a customer for a year now. My dog has had surgery, rabies shots, flea and tick, heart worm...all flawless. With a sense of dedication...I admire this establishment's effort and pride. I always leave feeling like I really got what I paid for. It's nice: there's no pressure and all steps are realistic. Thank you all. Frances and Tom.

I cannot express how grateful I am for Dr. Troutman and Dr. Snodgrass taking care of my cat, Scooter. Even though it was on a Sunday afternoon, I was able to bring him in. They continued watching him for the next couple of days. My regular vet is located in West Plains. But after experiencing such great service and witnessing how compassionate they were with my cat, I have decided to bring all 5 of my animals to this clinic from now on! I'm glad that my Scoot is happy, healthy, and home now.

So disappointed to have to put a one star on this, unfortunately zero stars was not an option. Losing a pet is devastating, but especially when your beloved cat needed emergency care and this vets office refused to help. Their reasoning "You used Walmart Vet clinic, no vet will help you." You are definitely in the wrong profession. A little background, the poor thing was inherited from a deceased parent. Your lack of compassion has us heart broken. Fortunately, another vet was more than willing to help.
