Absolutely one of the best vets around! We regularly take our boxer in checkups and nail clippings, due to sensitive nails, and he has an amazing way with our overly anxious pup. He is always kind and patient with him and really helps us to understand our pups needs.

Awful visit I took my dog in for parvo and they tested him for parasites & said he didn’t smell like parvo he had been throwing up and had diarrhea they said it was a dietary issue I sent 93 on the visit plus 50 on the food and however much on the gas to drive around town to find everything he wouldn’t eat of course because he was sick so that was canceled out I called them and let them know and it was no concern to them he continued to get worse and when I had called them again they continued to tell me that I would now have to take him to the hospital within 24 hours of the visit he passed away.

We've had the pleasure of knowing Dr. Rick Hittner for about 10 years now. He's really taken great care of all of our dogs. Just over a year ago he helped my 17 1/2 year old Yorkie pass over the Rainbow Bridge. A devastating day for me, but Dr. Rick was very compassionate in dealing with this and helped her to quietly and peacefully pass on. You can talk to Dr. Hittner any time you want. When you call the office there is a good chance that either he will answer the phone or is able to talk to you. If you go in. If he is not with an animal he will be where you can see him. And all of the people that work there are very knowledgeable and friendly.

My dog is very important to me and I have to really trust someone to take care of him and Dr Hittner is the best. He answers all my questions and there are plenty! They have convenient hours and I can purchase all his meds in the office. Highly recommend!!

Dr. Hittner is really great. I initially took my cat here because he’s one of the few doctors in NWA who does dental extractions, which he did a great job, considering how bad my Rescue girls issues were. What I like most is that he is very thorough and takes the times to explain to you, in detail, the reason behind whatever is going on with your baby. I think that’s a great quality. I personally enjoy learning. I’m very confident in his skills and would highly recommend him.

Dr. Hittner is an amazing vet. I took my Yorkie to two different vets and neither told me my dog's problem was congestive heart. They thought it was a narrow trachea. Dr. Hittner put my doggie on lasix and he is doing great. Very helpful staff also.

We have a cat with chronic health issues and Dr. Hittner and staff have provided exceptional care to help improve her life. Dr. Hittner sees it has his personal mission to find better ways to treat her condition while keeping overall costs in check. The staff is always accommodating when scheduling appointments and appear to to be as emotionally invested in our pet's health as we are. A couple things that make this a great vet clinic. 1. They always answer the phone in person and are quick to answer questions and promptly schedule an appointment 2. Appointment times are always on schedule and it's rare that you have to wait more than a couple minutes. 3. Dr. Hittner has many years of experience to help with some of the most difficult cases. 4. This is the most important. The entire staff cares deeply for every pet that comes through their door. They show empathy for every sick pet and for their concerned humans. I know our pets are in good, caring hands when visiting Arkansas Vet Clinic.

Although it is appointment only, I still give it 5 stars because the staff and Doctor are very kind and gentle. My senior dog can be cranky at times and everyone has been patient with him.

My 12yr old dachshund needed several extractions. Dr Hittner made me feel very comfortable with the procedure and explained the whole process very thoroughly before and after. He was so patient with all of my questions. The ladies at the front desk are always so pleasant and helpful. I was also provided with a treatment plan estimate before the procedure and it was much appreciated. Their prices are very reasonable and the office is spotless. Great overall experience!!
