Amazing!! They were friendly and my cat loved them. The Dr got on the ground to play with my cat. They didnt pressure me about the bill when it came to services my cat may need. They printed out a to do list and sent me a copy of the diagnosis/office visit in detail so you understand. They followed up with me and really cared about my pet. They asked the right questions and listened to you. My experience was simply amazing and the other guests were just as happy.

My dog came in with a broken leg, and the vets there almost wanted to force me to get him surgery. Got a second opinion and turns out that surgery could’ve been prevented and a splint could’ve been fine, but because I went to this terrible location, I no longer have that option. Keep in mind I got x rays too but they didn’t think to tell me that the bone could be adjusted and a splint for some weeks sufficient. Save yourself time and money: visit was $500. Don’t go here, rip off and to top it off staff aren’t thorough or helpful in the least bit.

Denise Ramsay

Terribly incompetent and uncompassionate service.

William Shaw

Perhaps I was an outlier but the staff was not compassionate and seemed more focused on emptying my wallet than caring for my Boxer Meg. We left knowing no more than when we arrived as to what was ailing her. A phone call to our regular vet the next day after her condition worsened yielded the meds needed to improve her condition as we search for underlying causes to her anemia. I would never return to VetMed

Hands down the worst experience of my life in any animal care facility. Although the office is clean and looks nice, there are not words to describe this awful experience. Unless your pet is bleeding severely or in a life or death situation this is NOT the place for you, and even if that is unfortunately your situation I highly recommend ANYWHERE else. Arriving at 9am on a Sunday with my 9 month old kitten, I had no idea I would still be here nearly 7 hours later. There is no possible excuse or explanation as to why we are still sitting here with no word from anybody. Not only has the front desk been asked once, but TWICE what is going on and the only response we have received is "we will be checking her out shortly" UNACCEPTABLE.

Sorry guys! I didn’t mean to leave a one star review. Learning curve. I actually didn’t even mean to leave a review but since I’m here now.... I’ve only been there once for a consultation. Doctors seemed knowledgeable, staff was friendly and accommodating with my big scared guy and staff was friendly.

My cat received top notch surgical care here. I went in one evening just to visit. Sammy at the front desk was very friendly and suggested the perfect surgeon (Dr. Radlinsky) for my cat's problem and scheduled the surgery a couple days …

Victoria Kearney

Our elderly Great Dane developed bloat. Due to his age and overall health, surgery wasn't an option. The staff was courteous and respectful during this highly emotional time.

eva

Very expensive and they dont explain everything that your paying for. But you have to pay it all up front. So if they change something it's still the same price.

AVOID THIS PLACE GO TO PET URGENT CARE Please do not go to this place expecting care for your pet. They are interested in the bottom line of their business. Whatever will make the most money for them regardless of the pain and suffering to your beloved pet. Unfortunately, i took my sweet girl to them over the 4th of July weekend. I no longer have my darling yorkie, i now owe $2200.00 to my credit card. She was a 10 year old Yorkie and they would give her no care to relieve her vomiting and labored breathing unless i did all of their tests to find her issues...they were not able to diagnose her or relieve her. she just suffered until she had to be put to sleep. Horrible place!

Caryn McShane

No one is kinder than the folks who work here...they have a real passion for pets! Patient and empathetic! I would go nowhere else with my pets!

Mac Attack

Kept me in a room for over an hour. Dog is fine.

Kathyrne Barnoski

Compassionate & caring -thank you for all did for Tornado

Cynthia DD

horrible place only because I needed a shoulder sling for my dog to b able to walk to go to the bathroom and the receptionist actually told me I could not purchase because I would actually have to see DVM for the doctor to actually determine if that was the right choice for my pet & it has to by a prescription from the doctor & they have limited quantities. I needed one right away because it would take too much time to arrive to order online which by the way doesn't need a prescription or an emergency $105 visit. I wasnt even asked why I might need a non-prescription shoulder sling out of concern. This was a very lame excuse to brush me off not even knowing how vital it was for my pet. so didn't feel any love for pets at this place

Becci Eng

Absolutely awesome team. One thing I would change would be to increase the emergency room size and staff! They are always very busy and some times have to turn stable payients to other hospitals. We always get a reliable diagnosis where other vets fail. The specialists are great!

Ashley Ritscher

The vet was very knowledgeable and didn't try to take us for all the money we had

Clinton Winter

Excellent service! I literally walked in and they took my sick puppy and simply asked "do we have your permission to treat him?" That is what you want to hear? Exactly what you want to happen when your dogs life is on the line.

Angie Snater

I brought my puppy Galoot in for a possible MRI a while back but decided to move forward somewhere else.. The tech and veterinarian were not very engaging we with me or my dog which I was disappointed about. I was nervous to begin with so …

Mary Williams

Top of the line. All I can say is once you go there...you'll never stray elsewhere!

My dog was attacked by another dog? Her lower eyelid was sliced open. Vetmed was the only place open at the time, so we took her there. After stitching her up, they sent us home and told us to have our vet remove the stitches 10-14 days later. A large scab had formed. Note that there is absolutely no follow up or after care. We had our vet remove the stitches and we took her home. Her cut started bleeding and we took her back to our vet. We are now paying for stitches to be put back in. Vet med said they would do it but would charge us for an emergency visit plus the cost of the procedure. It is a scary place that doesn't back up their work.

B S

The folks here are great and really work hard for your loved ones.

Tina Stacy

We came here because my miniature dashound was bit by a rattlesnake at night time. It was wonderful to find a vet's office that is open 24 hours a day. It was very expensive.

Alexandria Ramirez

Most honest, caring, and understanding experience I've ever had. The overnight team is the best. *Thank u James*

Melinda Hase

Very clean, professional, organized and the technicians take their time and explain everything to you, the doctors go over everything thoroughly and give a price range quote. I hope you never have to come here but I highly recommend their expertise.

Cindy Meyer

Great Service and great Vets. We used them 3 times and wS treated like gold and same with the pets we brought for them to cate for.

Eric Bussey

Took our dog in because he wasn't in very good shape. All of the staff were nice, caring, and sympathetic. It was a little more than a standard vet, of course, but less than other emergency, after hours vets I have gone to in the past. I hope I never go back, but not because of them.

V8baby13

My kitty collapsed, so I brought him here and they did everything they could over a few days, but his little heart just wasn't able to go on. They were wonderfully compassionate through this and treat animals and people with care. Though I will forever miss my kitty, they made the situation as manageable as possible and I am grateful for their support.

I helped a friend when her 10 year old Yorkie, Dakota Rose had breathing problems. The problem was a collapsed trachea diagnosed through xrays by another vet clinic who sent us to VetMed. It turns out this is a common problem. Tammy was great and very helpful however Dr Marcus came in without even looking at the xrays or report from the other clinic. His 'bedside manor' was poor. He presented a plan to operate placing an external stent around the trachea, at a cost most likely costing over $6000. We were from California and needed to get back. He said that we could probably control it to a limited extent with drugs until we got back to California the next day. We went with that plan and paid a lot for the medications. Dakota did better that night but got worse again by the time we got to Indio. We took Dakota to an emergency Vet hospital and that Doctor was much more forthright about the viability of the proposed surgery. The general outcome is poor and the decision was made to have Dakota put down. That should have been the outcome of the visit to VetMed and I feel Dakota suffered additional pain unnecessarily. Thanks to Tammy for going out of her way to help us find the meds that night. Boo to VetMeds and Dr. Marcus for pushing an expensive and low viability surgery instead of putting Dakota out of her pain.

sadie

Solomos week but my problem is solved I was incorrect to never dealing with 12 hours of incessant crying China nurtures little go back to hold Mitchell is not any better than when I got there and im less 500 in my pockets at meds and a compound pharmacy vist to fill. Very disappointed to find the liquid form is very har.ful to dogs!! Y was this prescribed to me then for a nerve blocker that slows healing .. My living in the craziest will know mom I think so because this is absolute bonkers I would you give me something that it's Hurting my God in long Room for what you'Trying to get treatment

Sam Ile

Great facility but keep in mind you will be paying triple because its a ER vs a regular office. A rattlesnake bite is around $4,000 and a normal clinic was $1200

Barbara G

The staff here ROCKS! I can't say enough about the kind hearts of these Ladies. We lost our Family Cat & it was extremely hard on us. We appreciate all they did for us very much! Thank you.

Robert Wesoloski

My dog Lil' Jack fell ill with stomach like flu symptoms. I was recommended to VetMed for emergency care. The staff was wonderful and attentive to Jacks nervousness of strange surroundings and treated him like King! The service was quick and the Veterinarian ( I forgot her name, sorry) gave him meds to take home! I would definitely recommend VetMed for your pet!

Debbie Mahan

The whole experience was utterly amazing!!! They treated my Daisy like she matters bc she does!!! I have never had a vet care so much about my family's life!!!! Thank you!!!

Dr. Benjamin Benulis

Thank you for saving my Dogs’s life! Tuesday got into my chocolate stash, probably almost half a pound for a 19lb dog. The staff took excellent care of him and myself. Yes, waits for updates and visits were lengthy but I understand they are dealing with emergencies. It was a 2-day stay to get him 100% and although it was nerve-wracking at times I knew he was in good hands. Bill was also extremely reasonable. Very pleased and although I hope I never have to bring him back, it feels good to know this place is right up the road.

W. R. Decker

They took care of my dog in his final hours. They were kind, respectful, and understanding. I would recommend them to anyone who is in need of their pet to be treated on an emergency basis

Lenzie Lewis

Brought in our 10 week old puppy and was immediately put into a room upon arrival. Filled out paperwork and my puppy was given an exam within 15 minutes. In and out within 45 minutes and left feeling better about the situation. After 30 minutes of being given meditation and fluids, our puppy is back to herself!

Pete S

Top shelf. State of the art. Exceptional people. Advanced knowledge. Singularly focused on helping improve and maintain the health of our little (or large) bundles of love.

Brian Prescott

Wow!!! The people here know compassion and really care for our animal family members...Amazing when comfort comes at a time when all is sorrow..thanks

Sara Ann Dipasquale

Great people here and they do everything they can to help

Nicholas Frechette

My black lab was injured on her right leg the doctors and nurses were very professional and very quick on dealing with her. She needed 3 stitches and her wounds cleaned. It was a very sad day but I was very highly appreciated for the service they gave to my Labrador. It was kind of far from our home but let me tell you something, I would return in a moment notice for any of my animals Emergency. God bless you all and your family's!

Darlene Lampi

The staff is amazing! A friend refered me. Emergency visits are never easy. This one was especially hard. They were very kind.

Jim Angelastro

Great place nice people

Kyle Vogelsang

Communication is a challenge, I know mistakes happen, but they should do a better job communicating. Appreciate they are open 24 hours and most importantly, brought the pup back to health.

Sandra Riggert

Came in with our old dog in distress. She was taken back immediately. The whole staff was professional, attentive, Dr. communicated options clearly. Also sympathetic and caring when we had to make a difficult decision. Dr. Erin Wessel, you are wonderful. Thank you.

Allie Damron

The techs and front desk deserve 5 stars. They have been nothing but nice, understanding, and knowledgeable. The vet however has not been a pleasant experience. My dog came in for an emergency splenectomy, and it was tested for cancer. The vet left me a voicemail telling me my dog has cancer. It was very insensitive. Also after saying multiple times I do not want to pursue chemo, he continued to push me to it. Due to this experience, we will not be going back and I do not recommend them to others.

claudette gribbin

We had an unexpected, unfortunate event yesterday with a sick cat. We were referred here, as an emergency, by our normal vet for heart issues. Everyone was very compassionate, there was no pressure to perform all tests, and they were very helpful regarding end of life issues. It was one of the few vets I didn’t feel was pushing unnecessary services and tests. Dr Marcus was amazing. Good communication.

Heather W

I’m too heartbroken to explain the situation but wanted to say the staff here was amazing and so caring. I hope I never have to see them again but if an emergency ever arises again, this is absolutely the place I’d go.

Edward Kie

We had a positive, experience here...treated very well ... Very caring staff ... Andy and I were treated very well ... The spacious waiting area with the waterfall feature was very soothing ... I can not more highly recommend this place than I do right now ... Go here ... They are great!!

Kim Zuccarello

In an emergency, this is THE BEST place for your pet to be! Best doctors, amazing staff!

muff

Saved my bubba's life and gave us so much more needed time with him. Will never forget you guys.

Leiann Noel

This place has recruited the best of the best animal specialists in Az. We have been going there for over a year. Somewhat pricey, but after spending thousands with a general vet, and going to a specialist that was able to pin point the issue first visit... the cost was mute. Great care here should you have special needs for your pet.

Teresa Smith

The staff are wonderful. If you need emergemcy services for your pets, trust the doctors here. You'll feel very cared for, any time of day or night.

CJ Wren

Took great care of our injured puppy AND managed OUR concern and apprehension while we waited to hear news.

Ashley Paschal

It is so unfortunate that this one of the only emergency/specialty vets in the area. They are purely out to get money and don’t care about the animals well being. I took my dog there to be tested for a potential organ disease. They quoted …

Chuck Salvato

Look at my daughter in 5 minutes after arrival diagnosed her illness called in her medications total time from start to finish 30 minutes I recommend this place highly

Kara Vandivort

Thank you to Dr. Miller and Shay for making my visit with Loni an exceptional experience. I am a very nervous cat mom with a very nervous cat and they clearly knew how best to handle a scared kitty even in an environment where there are dogs. I am very pleased with their service and will recommend them to others needing a cardiac workup. Thanks so much for taking good care of Loni!

Jeff Skaife

Great response helping get my dog out of the car and inside. He was critical. They've got him eating and drinking, he's also able to walk again. Compassionate and great updates. Highly recommend

Robert Campbell

No one wants to find themselves at a vet ER. That being said I am very grateful for the 24 hour service and the staff in my opinion seems friendly and sincere. However unfortunately I have found myself here twice; once for both of my pups. I have to say the worst thing about this place is the wait. I'd understand if there was a high volume of patients but this is different. After waiting for the triage, waiting for a doctor, waiting for a nurse and then waiting to pay! Both times I would finally make it to an examination room where I was told the doctor would be right with me only to wait in the small room with a hurting dog for an hour! No exaggeration. I wouldn't take my dogs to an ER unless it was serious. First time there I sat with my bleeding dog for 3 hours. Second time there I literally carried my dog in because he hadn't eaten or drank anything for almost 3 days and had difficulty moving. $830 later I was told they'd run tests and get him an iv. I called 5 hours later and the tests weren't finished and he still never got his iv. It's now been 8 hours and I still haven't heard anything from them. It doesn't take much to pick up the phone and give an update.

I gave Vetmed 3 stars because ultimately my fur-pup was provided care that helped him recover quickly. I went in late at night an hour after my dog was bitten by a baby rattlesnake. Unbeknownst to me, although they took him to the back for vitals, he did not receive anti-venin for over 3 hours. I was in a completely new situation, frightened and scattered. However, they made no effort to explain how the process worked. They said they were taking my dog in the back for vitals and weight, without explaining to me this was the last time I was seeing him for the visit so I didn't get a chance to reassure him or say goodbye. Then they put me in a room where the actual Vet only came in once to deliver an estimate of cost. After that, a tech who struggled to answer my questions was sent in repeatedly to communicate with me. I had no idea my dog was sitting back there waiting on me to decide how many vials of anti-venin I was willing to pay for and that they wouldn't even start the anti-venin infusion until after I paid. The staff did nothing to communicate this to me as I reviewed the itemized treatment list, negotiated it down and applied for credit to cover it. They knew from the moment I got there, I was there for the anti-venin, so I'm not sure why it's accepted practice to put off giving potentially life-saving treatment to the pet. Even after I paid, I noticed the time stamp on the records I requested demonstrated he didn't receive the anti-venin infusion for another 2 hours. I know emergency hospitals are naturally more expensive, but Vetmed participates in upcharging and recommending unnecessary treatment to increase profit. Anyone required to use their services should always ask for a second and third price estimate. At this point they'll begin shaving off unnecessary costs. Finally, I am not a veterinarian, but I was told they give most rattlesnake bite patients 3 vials of anti-venin, regardless of need. I was suspicious of this as well as being hesitant to rack up that amount in my bill, so I wanted to begin more conservatively and check blood tests to see how it was working. I'm thankful I did this because my dogs kenneled neighbor went into shock from multiple vials of anti-venin, resulting in more expensive treatment while my pup was home in 18 hours and fully recovered in 48 hours after only 1 vial. I'm sure some dogs do need at least 3 and even up to 5. But standardization of care over individualized care isn't always in the patients best interest. As you should with your own care, educate yourself and advocate for your pet. Question the provider. Don't be bullied or shamed into thinking they always know best. They are human and they work for a business with a bottom line. A good provider respects and even admires your desire to educate and advocate.

VETMED did an amazing job of helping us through the most difficult time of having our 14 yr old dog's suffering end. Even though it was a Sunday evening we received warm, understanding and no rush help and while we left with heavy hearts at the conclusion we can't thank VETMED enough for how they deal with grieving pet owners who need to be with their beloved companion at the end of their life's journey. Thank you

Nicosia Garrison

Less expensive than Blue Pearl. And the staff really seems to care for my fur baby...

Carol Hensell

We encountered friendly, yet professional staff. The vet we saw (Dr. D.Owens) was kind and explained things in detail. This is the 2nd time we have been at VetMed, once for our kitty , this time for our dog. First time was exceptional as well.

Mary Helen Whitney

Visited for special testing related to health issues for my cat. Staff were very friendly and related well to the cat. Facility was well decorated and offered a relaxed experience. They offer emergency treatment and I would recommend this location if that is neededn

Joe Wilson

I only came in to have my dog put down on a holiday weekend when my regular vet was closed. It was not unexpected. But the staff was very empathetic and they even let my vet know the details.

Macie Duran

Staff is super helpful and very personable. Great with both owners and pets. I highly recommend coming to vetmed. They are quick and explain results and options thoroughly and try their best to keep things as low cost as possible.

Gardenia Flores

They were so helpful and caring.

Thomas Aldrich

Our 1 yr old lab began throwing up blood late one night. Our regular 24hr vet turned us away and said they were to busy. We called vetmed and they got our dog in immediately. Our dog (chloe) has been there now for 3 days and nights. Vetmed is absolutely amazing. Very big and clean facility but what made the biggest difference to us was how everyone truly cared for chloe and went above and beyond to ensure she was treated properly and loved. The staff is amazing and Dr. Genna Atiee was a blessing from God. Dr. Atiee spent time with us explaining in full detail what was going on internally with chloe (acute kidney disease) and what they were doing to get chloe in the best health possible for her condition. Dr Atiee has a big heart and really cared for chloe. Vetmed and Dr. Aitee have been such a blessing for our family and chloe during this hard time in our lives. We are very grateful for all their help and compassion.

Robin Bushey

They were very thoughtful and worked hard to make my pet comfortable. Dr and techs were very helpful and took good care of my little girl. Thank you all!!

Eric Taylor

DO NOT leave your baby in Dr. Evelyn Kass Williamson’s care. She was the most negative non caring vet I have ever dealt with and tried blaming the illness on us. We had two sick kitty’s but knew this place was expensive so only took the one that seemed slightly worse. Our baby passed within hours of being under her care well the other kitty we kept treating at home has recovered fully and is now a happy healthy baby! As if losing our baby wasn’t hard enough they then tried to sell us on cremation options which are highly priced like everything else they do here. With our experience here it seems almost none of the employees care about the animals at all. Their all about MONEY! Regret ever taking our baby here.

Stephen Hill

Had to put my 12 yr old pit down due to cancer and they were very kind and compassionate.

Nicolas Aalbregtse

Over priced! Money hungry! Doing things not needed just to charge us so they would make money. Rude.

Cindy E

I had my dog put down this morning at this location. Everyone was very professional, caring, and compassionate. They gave us all the time we needed both before and after. I cannot be more thankful. I would not hesitate to take my other dogs here in the event of an emergency.

trampoline twins wood

Great people and service. Staff was awesome

arye fox

A good service.. they helped my dog when she was very sick and were very respectful when she had to be put down.

Sarah Shoffner

Everyone at this office was extremely helpful and professional. We called them at 9:30 pm with our dog who just passed and we brought him in immediately. They made the process easy for a very uneasy time in our lives. We were offered our own private room and time to say goodbye. Would recommend anyone to take their animals here.

Jim Davis

Great caring vets available 24 hours.

Jessica Musico

I waited for two hours with my puppy of 10 months old that got into some paint. They never came to help so I went to somewhere else and was in with the dr in two minutes. This place sucked and the tech acted like she could care less about my puppy. How dare you work for a Vet! I’ll never recommend and I’ll never go back.

Jennifer DeBacco

I can't say enough about how great everyone was here! Doctors and staff are great. Took really good care of my Harry! Love this place!

Mike Booher

When your pet needs emergency care, this place is the best and compassionate people.

P M

I honestly did not expect to revise my review of VetMed. I figured what was done was done & that was that. There was no going back & changing anything. I was dreading the thought of my dog being it. But, we made it! My dog did Not die and so here we are! The reason I'm changing my review is bc of a very simple phone call & some common sense. The doctors assistant called us the day after Christmas. She listened, apologized & then she made things right. My little bug lives to see another day~ I hope.

Mike Giaramita

As a Vet Hospital open for emergency services, bringing your fur babies here may be a difficult time as it was when our pet was in crisis. The staff here were very understanding and helpful thru one of the most difficult moments of pet ownership. I am thankful that they were there for us.

Jean Ransdell Scottsdale, AZ

Best Emergency veterinarians in the Valley.

Jill Watson

Staff is awesome and caring. Didn't make me pay for stuff we didn't need. Bear is doing better with just the antibiotic.

Darlene Brown

Vet Med was professional courteous and kind from the minute I walked they in the door. Doctors and Technicians were through and knowledgeable. They made sure I understood everything and went above in beyond in diagnosing and treating my seriously 15 year old dog. Unfortunately it wasn’t enough for my baby. They made her Journey to the Rainbow bridge as peaceful and comforting for me as possible. And they were way more affordable than any other clinic I’ve experienced! I am so grateful to them all. I encourage everyone to take their pet s to Vet Med.

Trisha Hynick

They took excellent care of my kitty. Also willing to work with me on payment!

K Knight

Nice place, love how Dr. Bre Shears helped my pup and how he explained the situation after the surgery really well. As well as how he followed up with me multiple times with us. The doctor out shine the staff! Yes, some of the staff members were amazing (mainly the back staff) but the front desk ladies that attended me when I first came in weren't the best. The day staff were some what better than the evening front staff. Either way the doctors are great and the people in gray uniform are too, just the front desk people need to improve on the way they attend people and how they talk over the phone. Thank you so much Dr. Bre Shears and VetMed!

Toni Marie Preder

I wish we hadn't needed to come here as it was to put our beautiful Molly to sleep, but it was needed due to her cancer. That being said, the staff was amazingly beautiful in every interaction and step of the way. They were comforting, supportive and shared an unexpected level of compassion.

Angela Beebe-Harris

Everyone there made a horrible situation more tolerable... My German Shepherd ate my bathing suit top... and two days later she wasn't eating. Took her here, and it was a linear bowel obstruction. They gave us all the options. We opted for surgery, and throughout the whole time our dog was in their care they kept us very informed. They saved her. Because of their caring, loving and compassionate care my fur child is still walking this earth. Thank you to all the amazing staff. From the front desk ladies (who were so kind and didn't mind us crashing out in the front), to James the great vet tech who talked us through the details of what was going on with my dog, to Dr Podmyer who found out what was causing her problems, and Dr Owen... who worked her magic (after being called in) and saved our girl. You all have my sincerest thanks.

Veroulina Kesto

Kind. Caring. honest. and professional. Those are the words that describe Dr. White. From the beginning to the end of my visits which consisted of a few days, Dr. white kept me informed, he was soft spoken and really made me feel comfortable and trusted that he and his staff would do all they can for my beloved cat. It’s to sad to get into details. The night of my goodbyes to my cat, we were offered a room to sit in, to spend a few hours with him. They brought us a box of tissue, and even offered us water. I felt safe from the night I dropped him off until my last goodbye. The other Vet doctor, Dr. Katie was so sweet and caring. They were honest with me the entire procedure, they communicated with me and called when they said they would. Truly above and beyond quality care. There wasn’t a question I asked that wasn’t answered. I didn’t feel unsure or confused because well I asked additional questions, I was patient with them, and I also trusted their recommended treatment and work ups. No amount of money would stop me for caring for my pet, (they do offer care credit) open 24/7 and really the best staff overall. Thank you, Dr. white and Dr. Katie, for all you did for my beloved cat, and for your quality care, empathy and honesty. Vets like you keep our dogs tails wagging and cats from scratching. (Had to be silly) thank you again!

Rhiannon Howard

I just had to put my old cat down. This staff was incredibly understanding, caring, sweet and knowledgeable. Although we saw people in the waiting room, they did not make us wait which I was very thankful for. They gave us all the time we needed, but acted very quickly at each step of the process. I would definitely bring the rest of my pets here for anything! Thank you guys so much, God bless you!

Melissa Bruno

We had an appointment and they got us in pretty much on time. It's a nice office but you definitely pay for the convenience, I ended up paying almost double what I would have paid elsewhere because I couldn't wait for an appointment though my normal veterinarian. One thing that I wasn't too happy about was the explanation of the test results, the veterinarian came into the room, talked pretty fast about what was seen, what the possibilities were, and what next steps were suggested. When you're trying to process unexpected information sometimes you need a minute and you need someone who can talk clearly and slowly. Make sure to keep in mind the words you're using as well when you're talking to people that aren't medically inclined. 'Bedside manner' is always important. They were pretty quick to want to move my dog into a very pricey procedure and possibly surgery and being emotional is not the time to make those decisions. I did end up following their next steps advice, albeit with a place that is a little more wallet friendly. Overall: If you've got time it's good to shop around a bit because they pretty expensive but they're great when you're in a hurry or emergency situation. I would definitely go back if needed.

Janice Cox

The staff were very kind and helpful with our sweet dog Ava. She was very very sick with cancer. They helped us with options and decision making. We are very sad to have lost our fur-baby but thankful for VETMED to be there alongside us during our need.

Susy Mister

BEST ER ANYWHERE!! These folks, from front desk to the Dr's, are top notch!! Great care for every animal brought in.Very compassionate for the human feelings and emotions too. You can't beat the service and care. The prices here have proved to be about a third of what I've paid in the past for less at other places. LOVE IT HERE IN EVERY WAY!!!

Sarah

Pricey, but it's to be expected for an emergency vet center. I decided not to leave my cat overnight, but to medicate and monitor myself and the vet made me feel guilty about it which made me feel awful. It was the right decision, but handeled poorly by the vet. Edit: Found a lost dog and brought it in to be scanned for a microchip. Staff was gentle and friendly and educated me about a Facebook group I could post the dog on to find her owner, which I did, and found her later that same night!

After our dog had a stroke, we had to wait 4 hours to see a vet. A stroke victim needs care immediately but our doggie received zero attention for 4 hours. Fortunately, our doggie survived but no thanks to this facility.

So much care provided here

Keep in mind this is a hospital and you may experience longer than normal wait times. However, the follow up is amazing! Great experience and would definitely recommend!

Best Vet we have been to. Very friendly, extremely helpful and always do a great job

It started with Alicia at the door. Dr. Goff and Dr. Wessel... all of the names we didn't catch... everyone was so caring and attentive. When we called to check on Boo, the person on the phone had real information that meant something. We were called immediately when there were changes in his condition. The whole experience was carefully guided with kindness, expertise and everyone going the extra mile. We chose to bring him home to say goodbye which was the right choice and he died in my arms as we walked through the door at home. He was allowed to depart with dignity, they made sure he would not feel anymore pain and I'm so glad the team at VetMed was there for us. Thank you so much.

I just want to thank you for taking care of my baby! They took him back as soon as we got in to treat him for his snake bite. Wonderful staff!! Thank you all very much!

My dog has been treated by a Kidney Specialist there for 2 years. The dr and his assistant are professional, very knowledgeable and go over and above to ensure Roddy (my pet) gets the best care.

Cumandá Santillan

Terrible place, they knew my dog had glucose 573 and made us to wait 3 hours to tell me they did not have the insulin to save my fur baby.

Nickol Pelletier

This place was amazing. the people were so nice and kind and understanding I highly recommend especially if you have a bigger dog like I do. They also gave us amazing information that really helped and very affordable prices. Very pleased with this place and will definitely go back if ever needed.

This is to serve as a warning to pet owners who love their pets like family. AVOID this place! They do not care about the animals they treat nor do they know what they are even doing. They misdiagnosed my mother in laws pup. This is even after she had been there for several hours sitting in a room, where they never came into check on her, or attend to the dog. They did not give her any aftercare instructions nor any idea of what to be expected after they treated her dog. Later the same day she had to take her pup to another ER to be seen because she was bleeding at this point from the poor care she received here. Please love your precious animals enough to get them the care they deserve. DO NOT GO HERE!

I would give a 0 if I could. This is the worst most heartless place I have ever been. I had a 10 week old puppy that was breathing but unresponsive and constantly whining. Brought her in they immediately took her in the back and the lady at …

I was really shocked with this place. I didnt have a normal vet that I would take my mix Lab , Dubs, too but the other day he had gotten into something in the backyard and ate something bad. ( I had no idea). For the next 4 days he didnt eat except for some small choice pieces of meat but other than that I couldnt get him to eat anything. With him being a bigger dog and 9 years old of course I grew immediatley concerned especially on the day that I took him to the Vet he had climbed into the bathtub of all places in the house and laid in there and whinned. Dubs was like my older grumpy son that bullied people to get his way. lol. He was such a good gaurd dog and i always felt protected when he was around. When I brought him to this place I didnt have a dime to my name and that made me super nervous but I had to do something I couldnt sit back and continue to watch Dubs Suffer. I was told that he did indeed eat something that was clogging his intestines and he was becoming septic. I felt horrible and knew there was no way I could afford the surgery and the only right thing to do was to end his suffering. The vet was very understanding and non judgemental and had multiple choice options to choose from for the payment of getting my Dubs the care that he needed. This place was awesome and you can tell they really care for your animals needs. Thank you again!

Very compassionate and caring staff.

I had to bring my dog here at 1am in the morning for an emergency surgery the dr. On staff went through and explained everything to me they did iv,ultrasounds, xrays, lab work and medications by the time I left it was 3am in the morning and the dr. Said he would call me with an update and let me know the surgeons were there. at 4am he called and said that the surgeons were there and gave me an update on how my dog was doing and said the surgeons would call me in about an hr and update me on the plan for the surgery at 5am deandra Owens the surgeon called me and let me know exactly what she was going to do and why and told me she would call after the surgery to let me know how things went. 630-7am she called me again said that my dog was doing great I asked when I could she my dog she said 9am to 5pm when I showed up owns was still there and went over how my dog was doing and the next steps there going to take. she also told me that she would call me at the end of her shift for an update and she did. Megan from surgery was also amazing. I've read reviews after the fact and people say that the staff and dr. Are not compassionate and care towards them or there animals not sure if they reviewed the wrong company because the staff I encountered were very compassionate and caring to me and my dog. Oh and the bill still some what expensive for everything was less then half of what I was thinking it would be I highly recommend this place you guys are literally life savers thank you so much for everything

The wait here was in ordinately long. It did not help when there were staffers sitting around talking, gossiping, and laughing. While the staff at the front desk was very friendly, we found that we had to continuously ask what was going on and how long they would have our girl. It seemed as though they moved you from one place to another just to sit and wait and worry. We found that the doctor on duty was very condescending And spoke to us like we were children who were having difficulty comprehending anything that he said. I will never go back to this facility as it seemed as though tactics to make you wait and worry were used in efforts to commit to whatever treatment the suggested without question. So very sad for all the animals that were in pain who are waiting along with our girl. I will never go there again.

Nichole Wilson

Very nice people...helped the best they could through a very hard time. Thank you all!

We took my doggie to get an echocardiogram yesterday and all the staff were super friendly and caring. The dr. Bruno Boutet was so patient and explain us all the information in detail. I totally recommend them.

My husband and I had just moved to arizona and our puppy was throwing up constantly so we took him here. We were waiting here for four hours and would not recommend this place the receptionist is rude. Extremely expensive and make you wait way too long. We left after 600 dollars later with no sense of comfort for our puppy. Going somewhere else.

This hospital was incredible they found out what was wrong with the dog they were able to help us and explain what the outcomes were it's very nice clean place as well very nice customer service is outstanding I'm leaving have a little table for you with drinks coffee and things that you want to snack on while you're waiting it's a really I've never seen a clean place like this it's really nice.

Nicole

By far the worst experience I've had in a long time with care for my pet. Felt like we were a burden the entire visit and I do not feel like we received the best care. Also no follow up to see how we're doing after our visit. Very disappointed and will not return

Cara Gregoire

I will never take my pet here again. I got the clear message that they do not care about your pet and will look for ways to "up-sell" you at every opportunity. I took my 2 year old dog in with elevated liver enzymes and was told she was in liver failure - such a scary diagnosis. I was terrified my dog was going to die, they sold me over $2500 worth of tests and medicine. As I left, they promised they would email me with results and care instructions. What do I do with a dog in liver failure? What are the next steps? How do I keep her alive? 7 days later, about 7 phone calls later asking for those results and instructions, I finally got some of the results but no explanation of what they meant and I never received the discharge info. I was given a different excuse every day as to why I hadn't been emailed the information. The vet never once called even though I begged to speak with her. After going to a different vet, a change in food and a simple antibiotic was all she needed. I'm so disappointed with the negligence and lack of care.

Ron Carey

Always available. The staff is wonderful.

If I could give zero stars I would. Took my 11 month old french bulldog to my vet and they said they needed to keep her. After 8 hours they said they don't know what's wrong with her and I need to take her for an ultrasound. They told me to take her to Vetmed that they are "their preferred emergency clinic" and there wouldn't be a "referral fee" if I arrived before 5:00. I got there and they said that I would need to pay $2,700.00 in advance for all the tests they are going to give her. They of course exhausted every test and still had zero answers. She didn't have blood in her stool and yet they gave her 5 parvo tests over the course of three days even though she had been vaccinated on schedule. I was originally told "the chances of her having parvo is like you having polio if she has been vaccinated" yet they charged me for 5 tests. They told me to come get her but they are sorry, they don't know what the problem is...oh, and you owe us $700.00 more on top of the $2,700.00 that was prepaid. I picked her up and that night she developed a huge growth at the IV site. I took her back the next day to ask if it is normal or not and right when I walked in the waiting room my dog starting shaking and wanted to hide her face in my neck. When the tech came out I explained to her that she is terrified, can I please just have the doctor look at her growth caused from the IV and if she says it's okay then I could leave without subjecting her to possibly getting even more sick? She said "well the doctor is busy so you will have to wait", even though the doctor was ready to see her. There were 20 sick dogs in there and I never found out what the problem was so I didn't want her taken in the back room if she didn't need to and I didn't want her taken from me. They didn't like that I asked that and made me wait with this terrified puppy for over 3 hours before I just left. The fact that they were willing to put this poor puppy through this just out of spite shows how much they really care about the animals that are brought in there. It would have taken 30 seconds to say "no it's fine, that's normal", or "we really need to address this issue" in which case I would have been glad to let them take her back. I don't leave bad reviews because I don't believe in affecting someones business in a negative way when they could just be having a bad day. I would have let the overcharging slide, I would have let the no diagnosis go also without saying anything. But what they did when I went back the next day from something THEY were responsible for causing is just ridiculous. So in the end, I paid $3,400.00 for them to give me back my dog in worse shape then when I dropped her off.

I have been here twice, and both times were as pleasant as they could have been. For true emergencies where you are ok with spending more than your usual vet, they are awesome. Clean space with friendly staff and super fast service.
