The staff are awesome, compassionate and extremely understanding to your emotional situations.. Last year I had to send one of my dogs to puppy heaven and Dr Irene was so great.. Today I had to send my baby girl to be with her sister in heaven due to seizures and age.. Dr Luise King was absolutely awesome and very empathetic with the situation I had to face.. Both Dr' s gave me a hug and offered to be there if I needed to talk about it.. What veterinarian do you know that is this awesome? Thank you! Southern Arizona Veterinarian Hospital.. Thanks so much for all your help

My wife and I called in the middle of the night. Everyone was incredibly helpful and understanding during a difficult time. Both of us are students with limited income. They were able to work with us and offered amazing options for our position. Unfortunately, we had to put Silver on her last trip on the rainbow road. They offered a plaster paw print of our baby and gave us all the time we needed. I would recommend them to anyone that needs help with their pets.

Emergency waits are long. Specialists take appts. Top care. Pricey but worth it for our loved ones.

Victoria Conner

Thorough. Great staff

Very compassionate when we had to put down our cat

Rolanda Ned

We brought in a couple of loose dogs; they were very friendly & helped us find their humans :0)

I needed to take my dog in over labor day and they were fantastic! The office is clean and very well kept; the receptionists were very positive and comforting; the vet tech was great; and the doctor was very sympathetic and thorough. He wanted to do xrays for $900+, probably a fair price for emergency care, but when I said I'd rather wait and go to my vet, he was totally understanding and didn't try to push any further services. I will certainly go there again but hope not to of course!

Faith Capone

Professional, thoughtful and very kind. I highly recommend!

Carolyn Abbuehl

Very kind, compassionate staff. They sent me a card after my Boston Bella passed away and made me a precious paw print impression in clay:)

This place is amazing! I could not ask for a better team! They took care of my furbaby fast. They did a great job explaining everything. And what his future will hold.

Amy Jensen

Amazing place. They were so sweet, courteous and thoughtful, both on the phone and when we came in to visit. They got us in right away and were so thorough with the options and depth of services available, from basic treatments to bloodwork, and even titers, wow! They were also super friendly to our pup, who is a loving pittie, and sometimes that can be hard to come by. Thanks so much, Southern Veterinary! We'll be back when we need you. :)

Sallymarie Schreiber

My love was in breathing distress and now she's doing better. I'm so very thankful for all their help.

Southern Arizona Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center is amazing. We came in at 1am with a dog that had severe oleander poisoning. They immediately got to work on him and working with ASPCA Poison Control to stabilize him. The emergency doctors, nurses, and staff were amazing in helping our dog and us through this awful situation. We received updates on our dog's status regularly from each doctor for each new shift. We were able to visit our dog as often as we wanted and for as long as our dog was able to take our petting and cuddles. Thanks to this amazing place, our dog made it through the most severe oleander poisoning they have ever seen. We are eternally grateful for everything they did.

Yesterday I brought My Baby Boy Dio in and He was on death's door. I was frantic, broke, and distraught. The staff was So compassionate and treated me and My Baby with respect and care. I had to have Him put to sleep, but the staff recognized my situation and provided the service free of charge and NEVER treated me any different. They are AWESOME PEOPLE I WILL NEVER FORGET! THANK YOU SO MUCH.

Jorey Cimmer

very hard to trust vet offices. My dog had been hit by a truck and needed serious care. They were very kind, understanding and loving not only to my fur baby but also my wife and I. There was a situation where they had taken X-rays without notifying us so I would encourage you to verify what you are paying for if you are lower income patient. However, once I brought it to their attention, they rectified it. We used our entire savings to save his leg and the tech was very nice to validate and understand my concern of wanting to know what services I'm paying for, that I'm not rich and were willing to explain in detail what we paid for. All in all I would definitely recommend this for emergency/surgery care. FYI: Be aware the $1,000 "stabilization fee" is not always needed. Our boy did just fine with pain killers

Please read this I would never take another animal to this clinic. Earlier this month I had to put My best friend to sleep. He had gotten sick and I took them in the next day, To a small veterinarian clinic here in Vail. The Clinic in Vail,Az was great. The vet here did everything she could for Bubbs. she recommended that I take him to a specialist after his second visit. which I understood because they can only do so much there, so I followed her directions and took him to Southern Arizona veterinary specialty and emergency. When I got there I told them that my vet sent me here to see a specialist and That I should go through the emergency to get the best one for him. He did get to see vet who I assumed was the specialistI understand that is my fault for not asking if he was or not. So he tells me that Bubbs had to stay the night. And that his throat and gums are bleeding and his throat is swollen I’m worried about him and agree to leave him overnight. They did not tell me that their specialist did not work on Thursdays and Fridays. The next morning I get a call saying his breathing has gotten worse and that the specialist will not be in until Monday they’re going to put him on an oral medication. I asked when I can pick him up and that I needed time to think about what the next steps should be ,the best course of action for him. At this point it’s already been a week of him not eating and breathing well. I contact his vet and we both come to the agreement that the best course of action for him is to let him go. So I get there to pick him up and take him to his primary vet so she can do it. It’s was a place where I felt more comfortable and he did too. That’s when the vet who is taking care of him at that time told me that it was not right for me to take him because he is Not doing too good, and may not make it to the clinic. That they could put him down there. My dad stepped in and told her that we didn’t want to do it here. we wanted to take him to his vet that’s when she said it’s not their fault that he is this bad because they can take care of him if he can make it to Monday it’s not their fault that we can’t afford it I couldn’t believe she said that to my father. I’m losing my best friend and she tells me it’s my fault because I can’t afford to take care of him We could’ve afforded it but I just didn’t want him to suffer any longer see there’s a point where you have to just say when and if his primary vet thinks it was the best course of action wouldn’t you take it to him just so he didn’t have to be in pain .

Mark Deatrick

I had to put my baby to sleep and then people are so awesome so someone should take their dog here for health another issues!!

Went in today with my Labrador who had a rear leg injury and couldn’t jump, climb stairs or walk properly. Checked in with the receptionist, filled out some paperwork and paid the $85 exam fee. The assistant took us to a room and said the doc will be here, it will be a lil while. I said okay. This was 10:30 am, an hour and a half passed and no one came, I went out and asked the receptionist if someone is ever going to show up soon, she said “oh no one talked to you?” I said nope. She said I’ll let them Know. Another half and hour went by. I went out again and the receptionist said “oh she said she will talk to you let me check again”. Later she came in to our room and said “ she was going to come and talk to you but she got pulled away, but you’re the next cause there were 5 patients ahead of you” okay I said. Waited for another half an hour and still no one came to see my dog who was in pain, anxious and nervous. She kept whining from pain and not being able to sit or lay down and if she did, she couldn’t get up without me helping her. I heard the people next door, they came in like two hours after us and were seen immediately. I was fed up, I went to the receptionist and told her I have to go, she asked “oh no one talked to you still?” I said no, no one, then she asked “you want your money back?” Ummm, yes of course I just wasted 2 and a half hours for nothing, my dog is still in pain and I don’t know what to do now. I took her to a different clinic. These people are on time when it comes to taking your money, but taking care of your pet is their last priorities. Worst worst experience ever. Do not go there.

Things That Are Fast

Friendly staff who love animals.

Michaela Shermett

We had an emergency vet visit. The staff was very unorganized and rude. We had multiple people ask us the same thing. They then took our dog for over an hour without telling us anything. He has cage anxiety, and I could here him crying for an hour before I had to go out of my room and finally ask someone what was going on. After 4 hours we finally got results that we had to pay an arm an a leg for. Very upset about how my dog was treated. I would not recommend anyone go here for emergency visits. Valley Animal Hospital is much better.

kay tasler

The people here have a very difficult job!!! They all have great hearts, an are very sweet people. This is my 3rd time going n here. An they always make me comfortable. An i will keep going back as long as there doors r open. : )

Our 11 year old dog suddenly became frantic eating geass, the carpet and constantly licking the floor. She vomited several times and appear to have difficulty breathing. We checked into the hospital at 1015 on a Sunday night. She was restless and appeared to have difficulty breathing. We were given the estimated cost up front and had to sign contract before she received any help at that point I would have signed anything. She was taken to the back room for an x-ray and labs. She was gone about 15 minutes. When she was brought back to us amazingly she was back to her usual mellow self and even fell asleep. No explanation as to why the sudden improvement. We sat in the exam room for hours. No one came to check on us or let us know what was going on. My husband would wander out of the room and could not find any employees. He did say there were new patients in some if the rooms. I thought maybe they forgot about us. Finally at 3 am they brought us the bill for $750 and we were told we could bring her back if needed for a scope of her throat ( x-ray was good labs a little off). No point she was better. We were told they would bring us her medications to help with her stomach and antibiotics not sure why antibiotics. We sat for another 45 minutes. Finally at 345 am we were let out of the building. I am pleased she turned around quickly my question is why if she suddenly improved why didn't they let us reassess the need for all the expense test and why make us site for hours.

Amanda Claridge

We came with our very sick cat and we were pretty sure she would have to be put down. The vet and staff were kind and walked us through the process. We were able to say goodbye to her in peace .

EXPRESS Shuttle

My dog hurt herself somehow and was in tremendous pain. We drove from Sierra Vista, Az to have her seen at 2 in the morning. The entire staff was kind, courteous, and very professional all the way down to the coffee that was made for me. Hopefully, I'll never have an animal emergency in the middle of the night again, but if I do, I know where to go

Ofelia Flores

Treated my pet of 16 years and us with respect and dignity as he made his transition from this life to the next.. professional/respectful.

Linda Hilliker

They are very compassionate and professional. I went there because they are open 24 hrs a day and my dog passed away at 10 pm. The were so kind to me. They are my new veterinarian.

Nique Guerrero

We lost our 10 years old teacup chihuahua. Natalia was informative and supportive

Cuddlycancerman

So apparently if you don't have the money in hand for them to perform any kind of medical attention for your animal they will turn you in to animal control and call you an animal cruelest. It's almost as if they extort you into paying them for any kind of medical care. We took our dogs in to be seen after they were hit by a car. We had them evaluated, xrayed and had them put as many pain medications as they could into them. We were told it was $1000 each dog just to be seen. Which we paid them. We were then quoted $4000 just for them to hospitalize our dogs before they had any kind of surgery performed. When we told them we did not have the $4000 to hospitalize the dogs they allowed the dogs to stay over night but took them off the IV meds and gave them a pain patch. They told us to come pick up the dogs at 12 the next day. I took a day off of work to go pick them off and it was not until 3: 30,4: 00 pm before they finally released our dogs with intructions to bring them in by the 23rd to have their fentanal patch replaced. They gave us prescriptions for pain meds and antibiotics and that was it. Next thing I know today the 22nd. An officer shows up at my with a criminal notice saying that this vet hospital "turned us in for animal cruelty" Meanwhile for the past week we have done nothing but take care of our dogs took them potty fed and watered them kept them comfortable while trying to raise funds for their surgery and shop around for a cheaper place to have it done. I don't know who can afford 10k out of pocket for 2 dogs but this is ridiculous. I will never use this vet hospital again and I will deter any friend or family member from ever using them. We were within our rights to shop around and get 2nd opinions and now we are faced with criminal charges all because we couldn't afford their service.

Brandy Vyskocil

They helped with my pup answered all my questions and explained every thing clear to me very helpful staff was very caring sweet

Janelle Russell

Unfortunately we ended up there to euthanize our beloved kitty...the staff and doctors were compassionate and caring. They provided us with a lovely pawprint cast with our kitty's name on it as a keepsake, and they offered options for burial, cremation, and cremation keeping the remains.

Marcus Kaprone

Better have a lot of cash or a unlimted credit card if you want service

Jack Lanning

Friendly, caring people. Not inexpensive but not too bad for good after-hours emergency service. As good with distraught pet-parents as the pets themselves.

Stephanie Kelly

This is my go-to place for pet emergencies. The vets are extremely knowledgeable and caring. I actually like them better than my primary care vet, but they only do emergency care. The prices have always been reasonable as well.

TinaEck

Really great people. Were patient with us and explained all options and gave us estimates as well. My baby is doing well!

Cynthia Dunham

Staff was caring. They were good to our old man.

Jennifer Campbell

I had to take my Golden Retriever in the middle of the night because I thought he had been bitten by a rattler while camping. (He was bitten by something, and was having reactions, but we didn't know what it was.) They were professional and thorough, and explained what to expect along with prices as we went along with diagnosis and treatment. It turns out my dog is okay, thank goodness. I felt comfortable in their hands in the middle of this emergency.

Stephen Hall

Thank you for all of your care for my Sylvie when I thought she was very sick and dying. Y'all we're so caring and assured me that she was not going to die after all. I am still so happy with your care. They even called me twice to check on her. Thank you very much for your help in time of need.

Lauri Stanton

Friendly and efficient but was told 2 hours for my dogs test but did not pick him up until 6 hours later.

Susan Paramore

This is a hard place for me. The staff is amazing and understanding. I had to have my 14 year old dog put down and the staff is completely sweet and understanding.

Andrea Jones

Everyone was kind and helpful... they thought Sugar was a wonderful kitty and explained everything during her exam.

Vikki Contreras

The entire staff from front desk to Dr. are amazing! Kinda, caring and loving...compassionate! They treated Simon and his humans very well. Thank you all!

Peggy O

The care here for my severely injured boy was superb. He did have to be put down but by the most compassionate veterinarian one could imagine. Dr. King was amazing in her kindness & care.

Snowy Dragons

Very caring staff to both fur babies and their parents. I have had to put down 3 babies and have 1 baby with diabetes and I wouldn't go anywhere else for my emergency needs for my fur babies. They show the up most respect.

mar call

I have been here on two unfortunate occasions when my dog needed emergency service. The first time was in 2011 and they were great. I had nothing but praise. Today however was a different story. My 14 year old dog had a severly infected tooth and due to other ongoing problems it was time for her to be euthanized. I had originally called and only asked about getting a tooth extracted and I was treated rudely on the phone. After some careful thought I decided I needed to face reality and due to my poor old dogs failing health (leg problems among other thing) I decided I would not prolong the inevitable and put her through tooth extractions, etc. At this point I decided to drive her down even though I was treated rudely on the phone. Remembering my previous good experience here years before I decided to take here here instead of a closer emergency vet (Pima Pet Clinic which I have nothing but praise for as they were completely professional, compassionate and helpful not to mention rerasonably priced). When I arrived at Southern AZVetrinary emergency center I was "greeted" by the same rude (the only visable person in the place) front desk woman. I had a simple question of whether or not they could euthanize my dog. She was evasive and kept telling me to sign in and that the doctor could answer my questions when he saw me. She could /would not answer my simple basic question. Needess to say I left. Very disappointed by the unprofessional and rude service. I do not recommend.

BE VERY CAREFUL We brought our 14-year-old kitty in around midnight recently. She was struggling to breath. She of course became very anxious with the vet which made it worse. They tried to remove fluid from her lungs/abdomen. She fought them, and it seemed they gave up on her. The doctor said she was in distress and suffering, and suggested we put her to sleep. She wasn't sure but thought heart disease might have caused fluids. No blood work completed; no antibiotics; no diuretics...and made sure we paid the $800 up front to revive her. We were so distraught; worried she was suffering and not thinking well, we agreed to put her to sleep. I look back now, and I am just angry as we trusted them, and they really did not do everything in their power to save her/heal her.

Spencer Brobst

The assistants were helpful and polite, however the doctors and desk attentants were not. They showed me a quote for 500-600 for stitches and a drain and told me it was only a 45 min procedure but since they were busy she would be able to get it done by noon. I called at 1:30 after not hearing back and they said they were sorry and she should be up soon but they havent gotten to her yet. I got a call about 430 saying she was done and waking up should be ready by 630. I came at 630 only to wait till 8 to see my dog. It wasnt till the last 5 min i was there they presented a bill of 800+ dollars. I came back today to have her drain removed only to be told it would be an additional cost after origionally being told it was included in the price. I will not ever recommend or take my animals here again.

Above the Top Shelf

Very gentle and kind doctors and staff. My dog had a ruptured ulcer in his eye and they performed emergency surgery on the spot. Thank you!

Sabrina Varesi

Like all other vets.. You tell them yours dog is bleeding and they only care about the money. You tell them you have nothing until you're u get paid and they turn you away. So they don't care. They would rather see your dog dead then wait a week to get paid. Heartless. All of them.

Derrick Deyarmond

Brought our dog in with a high concern of her health, was super wobbly , couldn’t keep her self up and just super dazed and weak. wasn’t impressed at all with staff. The only reason why we went here was because it was the closest emergency clinic to us. The staff was rude and non caring. They told us the wait was going to be an hour and half before we could be seen by a doctor and the tech told us “ you have to understand that we are an emergency and that there are more serious cases and other animals that are needing more treatment at the time “. We felt like our dogs health wasn’t as important to them. And then told us to hang on to our dog because “ she needs to write” when our dog was wobbling and fell forward. Not coming here again, very disappointed.

Verlinda Bernardi

Great Doctors but way,way to high in prices for the care in your loving pets.Everybody is not rich ,just because they live in Los Altos. Plus, they didn't help my dog out on what was wrong with her. After paying a big,big bill. She still was in bad shape.Store bought stuff held her.See what I mean.

lupita vazquez

I get this is an emergency clinic , but most people can't afford 1,500 for just an xray and blood work. You think you would make more money lowering prices and performing more treatment . And then the vet make you feel like junk when you cant afford it.

Marco Estrada

Excellent service!!

Mayrim Verdejo Wichy

We arrived to the clinic and they told us the wait time was 2 hours. We waited, at the end of the 2 hours they told us the wait will be a minimum of 3 more hours and if we leave our puppy lose his spot. I would appreciate if the staff could have a better understanding of schedules and be honest about it. I just used time from work to be here. We left to take our dog to another emergency room.

Justin Martin

If I could give this place zero stars I would. A few years ago my son's first and only pet was bitten by a rattlesnake and it was a baby rattler and injected the 1 year old dog right in his nose. Killed the rattle snake brought the dog told the vet where the bite was showed him the 2 punctures from the fangs. The dog was already bleeding from his nose , eyes and foaming at the mouth and after 2 hours he comes back and says " your dog was bitten by a rattlesnake" I wanted to explode 2 hours they farted around doing NOTHING. They KILLED my dog through shear stupidity NEVER again. Don't waste your time with a snake bite at the center on Broadway

Heather Hendrickson

This place is really good we didn't wait at all for them 2 take back our pet that couldn't breath they took her back rite away at 12 something AM, they are VERY good and I CAN'T THANK Dr. Bono enough for what you did 2 try and save our baby she is no longer in pain... Thank 2 ALL of YOU!!! IF anyone needs a 24 hour vet I'll tell them 2 go here...

Sara Meade Palmer

Excellent doctor. Explained things clearly, gave prices upfront and updates on what was going on. No appointment I was there for an emergency. It is a busy place, so wait can be long.

Wendy Azloyalbeauty

They took in a cat that I had found in bad condition no questions asked just great friendly caring people

Gayle Schneider

SAVSE- is the best, we probably won't take our pets anywhere else. Everyone from the receptionist, techs and vets are the most caring , efficient and affordable Emergency Veterinary office on Tucson's East Side. Our Pit- mix was acting strange!! She seemed scared, nervious and anxious. She wouldn't eat or drink water. We couldn't figure it out!! It seemed she got into something, but she's always inside except for when she has to go potty, we walk her around are apartments. SAVSE- Were able to get her right in, they took really good care of her. Plus the cost was very affordable. If your in need of an Emergency Vet and you live East of Craycroft Rd, you must go here they will take extreamly excellent care of your four legged children.DVM Luis King is a wonderful vet. Staff here are awsome, your pets will be well cared for.

George G

Brought my dog Mia in for a hematoma in her ear and the care that she received was perfect! We were seen quickly and had her home with a cute bandage in short order. Dr. Natalia did a great job with the ear and stitches and after a couple weeks of healing and removing the stitches, her ear was back to normal. Thank you for treating my dog like you would your own!

Christina S

My dogs eye is swollen, with yellow mucus dripping and clogging is eye. Eye is grey. I’m told this is not “critical” and I have option of going to another location. Oh....but yes I should see someone right away but for them this is not critical. I can wait BUT if another critical patient comes in I will wait longer. He is not eating and lethargic. Great! How was this helpful! Worried about covering what you say so you can’t be held responsible while my dog is in pain! Thanks!

Shellie Whitman

Super friendly, comforting staff. Knowledgeable.

pamela mueller

They were very busy but got us in as quickly as they could. Only did necessary tests. Vet was very kind and gentle

1desertnomad

They worked well with us. Our senior dog was having trouble, and after a cursory exam, narrowed the issue, and got a diagnosis.

Eliani Regan

I live out of town about 1.5 hours, I called to get advice as to how to care for my dogs hind paw which was bleeding, not sure if due to a broken nail or if the nail itself is falling off. As I was explaining to the male who answered why I was calling, he very rudely cut me off and said "okay so what is the issue?". If he hadn't cut me off then he would know!! He proceeded to cut me off again and then said "just wait I'm going to tet you to the tech.." I explained the issue and reason for my call to her and she wasn't as rude but not much better, "you can wrap the paw if you want and if it helps then it helps, if it doesn't then it doesn't..." Wow. If they had heard me out the first time and let me finish what I had to say they would've known I only needed over the phone advice. Improving customer service skills is highly needed at this facility. Period.

Evelyn Willis

the staff is very kind and patient and loving and if your pet happens to pass they have a candle to light for the loss of your loved ones memory they are so sweet and wonderful and dr. King is very knowledgeable and fast they also give you different options of payment as well as different treatment plans that are affordable for pet owners great plac e

Jim Transue

My neighbors small dog was attacked by a Pit Bull. We took her in around 7:00PM and we were told it would be 2 or 3 hours before the dog could be seen. They said that once we paid th $85 emergency care fee the dog would be triaged. Triage amounted to someone coming out and telling us how long it would be. That person only looked at the dog from a distance and only after being told there would supposed to be a Triage care, or so we were told. Anther dog was there with an open wound, and a piece of flesh hanging from it's foot and bleeding. They wouldn't even offer a first aid bandage for it. ELEVEN hours later we finally left.

Jordan Wook

Caring, genuinely concerned staff! Flexible! Works with families needs in crisis.

minuscule studio

Fantastic team- thank you so much for taking great care of our pup!

Nichole DeNardo

Since 2013 they have helped our family say goodbye to our furry family members. They are very compassionate to the pain and decisions that are made. They have a room that you can spend time with your furbaby and hold them as they cross the rainbow bridge. Thank you so much for helping Riddick, Dash, Ms. Kitty, and Ender to end their pain and suffering.

Lisa Hernandez

We had to bring our dog in as an emergency patient. He was 15 going on 16, and the doctor spent so much time with us helping us by giving us all the info we needed to make the right decision for our baby. They were so supportive, and so kind to our dog, and us.

cherry howell

The ER wait time here is completely insane. Took my dog in and was there 5 hours! Came back to visit and still waiting after half an hour. This after calling ahead. The Broadway location is woefully understaffed. If you have another option take it. Ft Lowell location is excellent.

Sabrina Kellner

They were so good to us and our dogs during each visit we've had there.

Todd Bassett

Good vet office and very nice staff.

Jose Quintana

They will help your pet.

Barbara C

Early morning hours of Thanksgiving, my little Grumpy boy took a turn for the worst. The staff listened to my concerns and gave me plenty of time to consider my options. They were truly compassionate in our moment of need, and were very supportive. Having to go inn on a holiday, after hours, didn't break the bank either. Best prices around!

Matthew Anderson

These people murdered my cat. He was bitten by a rattlesnake and they refused to admit it. He died meowing in pain and agony screaming until his final moment. They should have used anti venom or put him down peacefully. They wont even refund us or return our calls after charging us highway robbery and making us wait for hours when my cat was having a health emergency.

Reverend Travis

Hospital staff are great. Quality healthcare for patients of the four legged variety. You get best in practice. Cost is premium or top dollar. Over all even if its pricey these people are so good at what they do that you wouldnt want to have to turn away from them in favor of more affordable. Facilities are more modern at the Broadway location but both locations are equipped with state of the art and up to date medical equipment. 24 hour service.

Darcy Damron

Not that I loved putting my dog down, but the staff and vet were super nice and comforting to me and my dog....

Julie Fairchild

They saved my Bruno years back from poisoning. Im so greatful.

Edward Bensing

Took our puppy in spent about $500 dollars for X rays and sleepy meds they told us that she was okay just sprained her leg. We took her to our actual vet and took more X rays and boom her hip is dislocated I do not recomend for anyone.

Ashley Holguin

We went in for an ER visit last night with our three year old Am Bulldog mix Neo. They were very kind and patient, helped with his pain management and were able to give us a diagnosis and the start of a treatment plan. Without even asking they were already on top of getting his info and xrays to his PC vet. A pleasant visit for an unfortunate circumstance!

Susie Drake

They saved my dogs life. Excellent care. We woouldnt have Bella without them.

Allice madd

The wait for my dog to be seen was 2h the wait for the medication was another hour. The doc looked at my dog for 3 minunts then left. My drive up hear 1h. My drive home 1h. So 4h all together of my day was eaten up. For 3 minutes of attention

Scott Banaszak

I had to rush my dog here, due to a medical emergency. Unfortunately, she died on the way there. The staff was super friendly, and showed sympathy for my loss. It was nice to see and feel that. They actually care. And the card the staff sent me in the mail was very pleasant to receive, as well. They were very professional and took care of my needs. Thanks for the lasting impression.

Our dog was attacked & we brought her here to be treated everybody was so nice & the vet charged us as little as possible to stitch her up

Thier is no kindest in this world just Rude people who want to take you money and if yu have no money they kick yu to the curb like a broke dog with out a home veterinarian today don't care about your animals but how much money the can get very disappointed in people like veterinarians. So mean people may suck but so do veterinarian.

B.A' Arnett

Very caring people. Don't let twist for payment upfront surprise you, they want to help you, but this is not a charity. They were very professional, caring and friendly. Real animal people.

Beverly Marlow

They are everything you need when your pet is sick & hurting! Caring, professional, available at all hours.

Shawna Scarborough

Don't go here unless you have at least $2,000 in your pocket. These people are only interested in your money. They play on your love for your furbabies and your fears to get as much money as they can. They told me that my dog had heart failure, then handed me the results of the tests they did. Right on those papers the radiologist had written that there was nothing wrong with his heart. DON'T TAKE YOUR BABY THERE!!!

Heather Norris

The people are super friendly & helpful! My dog hates going to the Vet but they make her feel calm and welcomed. Absolutely love this place!

The other night my precious mini dachshund threw up, and became lethargic instantly. She refused to drink water like she usually did after getting sick. She laid down and put her head in my hand like she was going to sleep. Made my anxiety shoot through the roof. She wouldn't give kisses, she wouldn't move, she didn't want food or water, and she didn't even get excited for treats or a ride. She is incredibly food driven, so when she refused deli ham... I was more nervous. I found this clinic as I googled open veterinarian services, and they were one of the few places open. I called and explained what happened. They said my concern was their concern and they'd be happy to look at her. They gave me a reasonable price quote to start. I was very happy they were so sweet, kind and friendly. I didn't need to go in, and my Doxie got better before we went to bed. But it was nice to know that she'd be happily welcomed if she needed help getting better and I'll definitely be taking her there if we ever need any animal help.

This place is great! I was nervous and uncertain what to do when my 10 year old Great Dane developed a quick growing mass under her belly. Dr. Natalia and staff were so knowledgeable and compassionate that I knew my dog was in good hands. We ended up scheduling surgery with Dr. Shelley to have the mass removed. Everything went very smoothly and a couple weeks later my dog was back to normal like nothing had ever happened. They proactively checked in throughout the process and even after the procedure to make sure my dog was okay and address any questions or issues I had. It’s clear they really know what they’re doing and care about their patients.

My dog appeared to have some rectal bleeding when I came home from work one night. Naturally, I freaked out and Googled myself into a panic. I brought my dog in around 10pm and the staff was polite, and acted with urgency. My dog is usually very skittish but everyone was so sweet and gentle with him, he turned out to appear much more calm than I expected. He was treated in about an hour, for a reasonable price. I will definitely be coming here anytime my little guy is in distress.

I just got back from a nearly 3-hour visit in which my dog was never seen by a vet. We brought our recently adopted dog in because she was throwing up a lot and we wanted to rule out anything physical (we suspected that nerves over being in a new environment is the root cause). We were told shortly after intake that the vet had to euthanize an animal and then perform another unspecified procedure, and that we would be seen after those were done. No problem--it's an emergency hospital, so it wasn't a surprise that emergencies were happening. We were led into the exam room at about 7:45, had a discussion with the vet tech about our dog's background and presenting issue, and she left. She came back in about an hour and a half later and said that we should be seen "soon" (15 minutes or so) and left again. About an hour after that (10:15), we realized we still weren't going to see a vet anytime soon and left. Basically, they charged us $85 to do a basic intake with a vet tech and then sit in a room. If they felt we were just being overly cautious with our dog and nothing was seriously wrong, someone could have come in and just told us that. If it was something serious, she would have died in the exam room waiting for them to do anything for her. We had visited the Fort Lowell location with two of our previous dogs, and they were wonderful there. Apparently, that doesn't carry over to this office. I will do anything in my power to avoid going to this hospital should another emergency arise in the future. UPDATE: Our pup starting throwing up again as soon as we got her home, so the Fort Lowell office took her in right away. They also applied the exam fee I shouldn't have been charged at Broadway to the services they rendered. They did x-rays and gave her an anti-nausea medicine, so she apparently has/had something going on. I was very grateful that Fort Lowell saw her and quickly; however, this turned into an all-night ordeal and it never should have.

Brought my dog here because he was bitten by a rattlesnake. They took great care of him while he was there. The staff were friendly, and I feel the customer service I experienced was pleasant! My dog is doing fine, and I'm grateful for their treatment. :)

David Wilcox

Friendly, helpful staff. Took very good care of my husky

Kryssie Beard

Very good, accredited vet clinic and hospital. Reception staff were kind and funny. Vet Techs were knowledgeable and friendly. Doctors were great! Although costly, it was a good experience for my dog and I.

In December my pit bull/ mastiff Kingsley was on the brink of death. He required an immediate and expensive surgery in which was successful. At $5000 I was in panic that I was going to lose my best friend, and they helped me find options to afford it.... a $5000 corncob (yup, dumb dog). They worked through the entire night to save my boy. Now two days ago, I brought in my sweet special needs cat Butters. It was traumatic to come home and find my cat in the state she was after being out of town with my family. Unfortunately, her condition was irreversible and it was one of the hardest things but they helped me with my decision to end her suffering. These last couple days have been emotional and quiet in our house, but knowing that y’all are there in offering someone to talk to is more than comforting. After a miscarriage, losing my grandmother, and now my sweet Butters- you don’t realize the impact of your kindness, so thank you. I will always come to this vet for any emergencies.

Samantha Reddell

We had to put our old lady cat down today. Everyone treated us with incredible compassion and respect. When it was time to let Clare go, Dr. Gordon shed tears with us.

J Kemper

It’s unfortunate they are the only game in town for specialists. They were very kind and compassionate towards my German Shepherd and their diagnosis, unlike her vet, was spot on. Good people who genuinely care about your fur family members.

Just nice

Called, we told to come in, 1/2 hour later when we got there with a very sick pet we were told it would be 3-4 hour wait, no indication on the phone of the wait. Our pet was running 105 temperature and was very lethargic. Find somewhere else if you value your pet.

Getting better n better

Everyone was great here, from the reception to the vet and staff. Putting a friend to sleep is tough and they made it as easy as they could. Very transparent about costs and details upfront, which is also a plus.

Ronauld Cameron

We where very pleased with the service here. We were seen fast considering it is an emergency basis. Front desk was very patient and helpful. Dr's where wonderful! Very thorough and explained everything very well. The expertise in each individual was very noticeable. We returned 3 times and everytime we recieved the same service if not even better. They where compassionate towards our furry baby and others from what we saw. We definitely recommend.

Dr Shelley removed my sweet corgis tumor from his nugget and saved his life. Can't thank the Dr and his staff enough. They are so caring and kind.

Dianna Williams

Dr. Krone was excellent with my puppy who suffered from an extremely large kidney stone. He was able to manipulate and remove. Everything turned out wonderful!

Janessa Bates

Mary Keane

Good care, at times possibly overtreatment. Great staff. Slow to fill out insurance forms.

nereida santacruz

Verry rude, no payment plans what so ever It was worse when they found out we didn't have the funds to pay for our puppies broken paw, waited hours before we were seen, but when we met and saw the Vet, he was the most kindest down to earth person very understanding about our fund situation so he discounted some money,

Daniel Valdez

Saw them follow a gentleman to his car that lost his debit card and the large woman that's the receptionist was very rude to him I saw what horrible customer service they offer and went elsewhere.

Laura Barton

Went there tonight after my cat got an infection after his neuter surgery. Staff was awesome. And took care of my fur baby. Thank you.

I first took my little dog to the ER due to some serious medical issues. The staff identified and then treated the problems. My little one will probabaly need to be on meds long term, so we have been now seeing the internal medicine dr. The staff is so friendly to my dog and my family; my dog is in love with one of the Techs. I can’t thank them enough!!!

Mikey Minaj

This place has my respect for life!!! In times of hardship I had taken my little girl (pit bull) Molly there because she had become very ill after surgery from another vet. It was 2 in the morning and I was broke. The vet saw how distraught I was and knowing I had no money she still examined her and re wrapped her wounds in a more comfortable way to allow them to heal better. I then had trouble finding a ride home so out of the kindness of their hearts they paid for me to take a taxi home. Never in my life have I received such outstanding service. It's very obvious these people aren't doing what they do for the money they have a passion for animals and love doing what they do. I recommend this company to any and everyone. I can never thank them enough for everything they have done.

Anna Keefe

Fast good but not cheap but in all fairness opened when you need them.

Glenn Schneider

I went there to end my elderly dog's suffering from congestive heart failure and arthritis. The Veterinarian and the Vet Tech were superb, very caring and efficient. My wife made the arrangements by phone explaining I needed physical help because my dog's condition and my own heart issues. They promised to be supportive but in reality the support staff failed miserably. My 60 lbs dog and I sat on the floor in the front entry for several minutes before they provided any help. That made a very emotional time rough.
